East Lansing Family Aquatic Center: what do users think?
Christina W: Love this place so much! Really inexpensive nice fun place to bring my nieces and nephews for some good fun in the sun! And for me to cool off to. Its a really nice place and they keep the facilities taken care of as well as the life guards paying close attention to everyone in the pool. Highly recommend!Visited on Weekend Wait time Up to 10 min Reservation recommended Not sure Price for adult entry $11–15 …More
Erin B: Had my car broken into at this location. It would have been nice if there were cameras!Visited on Weekend Wait time 1 hr+ …More
Cirea Strode: Great place for some water time with the family.! This is newly remodeled and it’s awesome. They have water slides for all ages. There are areas for younger and older children. Great life guards. Food for purchase with a card. Great price. It does get crowded so I would suggest arriving at open if you’re planning a full pool day. Bring your own towels!! The facility was clean and easy to get around.
Melissa Lewis: Kids had a great time. Clean and well kept place. The admission was affordable for 3 and the concessions were a nice bonus.
Jared C: Great time here; would have been 5 stars, but not enough seating for the capacity allowed.
Satara Johnson: It was nice. Very crowded, but the toddler area was calm enough.
kathy dobson: Loads of fun for kids and watching them!!! Had a blast!!! Wonderful!!!!
Lydia Tang: We were really excited to visit the newly renovated aquatic center but were disappointed by a few aspects: 1. It's really far out of town. This is really not accessible for the community. 2. At $10 per person, it can make a family visit much too expensive, again, taking it out of reach for broad community engagement. Purchasing the $60 10-visit pass makes it more palatable but is a high price threshold for a lot of families. 3. There's only one little slide for younger kids, there's not much stimulation within the pool. 4. There is not any shade at all in the outdoor pool. Since the entry price is so high, we planning to stay all day and, even though we used sunscreen, we got terribly sunburnt because of the lack of shade in the pool. We did appreciate the life vests in so many sizes and the zero depth entry for the pool as an inclusive and accessible design.
Alyssa Slocombe: This place was fun we stayed for 4 hours the kids never got tired. It's only $8.00 for residents. Highly recommend
Lindsay: Love this place for little kids! Very Family friendly. CASH ONLY for the food and drinks.
Beneto Desamoto: What is there to say about the Aquatic Center well what can I not say great place great time my kids and wife love it to death as well as I do we've been there coming there for years when we got excited and we found out that it was open we were there multiple times this year and plan on going back again way to go glad it's open
Kathryn Shaw: We love coming here to swim. It’s a highlight of our summer. The East Lansing Aquatic Center is an upbeat, family friendly and welcoming place to be with well trained life guards and great customer service. It’s our favorite local pool.
Todd Vander Galien: They did a great job on the Repairs
Jon Summers: While the facility itself looks really nice, is clean, and well maintained, sadly my family’s experience there was not the pleasant, relaxing one I was hoping for. This is because of some irrational and draconian rules in effect at the aquatics center. The first one that surprised and bewildered me was a rule that no one is allowed to wear life vests in the deeper side of the pool, regardless of age or height, even when accompanied by a supervising adult. This seems very backward and illogical to me (why force kids to be less safe by having to take off their life vests in deeper water?). This was particularly disappointing since the shallow end is very shallow, mostly only a foot or two deep. It is always safest to wear a life vest, regardless of swimming ability, and my two kids prefer and insist wearing them in any pool or lake even though they have completed swim lessons. The second thing I really disliked about the Aquatics Center was how the life guards would whistle and yell loudly at anyone using the frog slide who might be ever so slightly over 48” - constantIy. I understand the desire to keep big kids off the slide for the safety of younger kids, but my sons were just barely over 48” (very tall for their age, 99th percentile for height) and were too scared and unwilling to try the large slides designed for 48”+. Those near 50” should have a choice on which slide they are personally ready for instead of having a strict height cutover; particularly on less busy weekdays where congestion is not an issue and the height difference is very minor. The policy assumes every kid who is 48” tall regardless of age is emotionally ready for the large slides; this is not inclusive. It was also very annoying having to constantly hear life guards yelling and whistling from the other side of the pool every other minute or so about it. If it is that important that kids slightly over 48” never use the slide, there should be a staff member positioned next to it so at least the whole pool doesn’t have to hear the constant scolding while they are trying to relax and enjoy themselves. It was not busy the mid-week day we came; never more than 3-4 kids total (including my two kids) in the frog slide area, all behaving well and close in age, so the heavy-handed constant rule enforcement from the life guards was unwarranted and just leached away what little fun we might have had.Because the deep end was off limits due to no life vests allowed rule, and because my kids were too scared of the big slides, the smaller slide was the only attraction left to them, but because of the arbitrary max height restriction, even that was off limits. This was really disappointing since they really enjoyed the frog slide and it was a good fit for them emotionally, but it only lasted a few minutes before a lifeguard came over and kicked them off because of their arm band, despite being only a couple inches too tall.I feel like we got ripped off given the hefty $11/person entrance fee that only allowed us to sit bored in shallow water simply because my kids are tall for their age, like to wear a life vest while swimming, and as a result don’t fit into the rigidly enforced “one size fits most” policies that don’t allow for any exceptions or flexibility. We had far, far more fun as a family this summer locally at Lake Ovid and Hawk Island (both free or very cheap), and Michigan’s Adventure water park.
Samantha Nesbitt: We all had an amazing time! The concessions were great priced as well. It was a Saturday visit so it was very busy but lines moved quick and we never had an issue finding a good spot to swim. We will definitely be back!
Jack Bowder: Awesome water park has a bunch of good slides for kids diving board, Splash pad concession stand and it's reasonably price. $11 per day for non Lansing residents
any one: Very nice place, you can have lots of fun. The water makes you just want to get in . I love this pool.
Emily Berry-Ball: Didnt realize I only clicked one star... This place is awesome my son and nephew had a great time.. we will be coming back we have Not a single complaint.. everyone is super friendly and life guards are very cautious and aware.. Thanks!! you all made our experience a wonderful one.. Loved The dance party session👍👍👍👍👍👍
Terri Gregory: So happy they reopened!!!
Lisa Betts: 2nd time in a week...we love it ...coming back on Sunday 😁
Kay Sanderson: I was a little disappointed by this aquatic center. We only went because we were invited to join friends of my children. It is good for kids who are older, or maybe just taller. You had to be 48 inches to do any of the water slides and things. The splash pad was okay, it was really small and didn't even entice my 3 and 4 year old to go in it once. I was really bummed because we went after 5 pm so I thought tickets would be half off. When I looked at their website prior to leaving it said non resident tickets were $11. However, when we arrived at 5:10 PM we were still charged $9 per person. I thought that was a lot for my 3 and 4 year old who only waded in the small pool. its just as far away as Millennium Park in GR from my house. I would much rather pay (less) to get in their than return to the Aquatic Center.

Aquarius Pools by Theresa LLC: what do users think?
Kim Cairns: Buyer beware! This company is passing off pools that they absolutely ruined, and other companies had to come in and fix, as their own!

Greg Koenigsknecht: Stopped in to get some spa shock and plan on getting all my spa products here forever. Nice people!!!!
Darcy Royal: I went in to get a quote for a hot tub cover about 6 weeks ago and I was told I would receive a call with a quote. A week went by I had my husband contact this company again and was told the same thing that we would receive a call regarding the quote.Still to this day never received a call regarding the quote. Totally unprofessional I would not recommend
Zach Etzin: Service:General repairs maintenancePositive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,Value
Laurin Thomas: Always a positive experience. Theresa is quite knowledgeable and very helpful!
Regina Rey: I had trouble hooking up my sand filter/pump I bought online. The company I purchased it from couldn’t help. Five minutes before Theresa’s store closed I called her. I explained my situation and frustration. She asked for my address and at 8:30 that evening she stopped by. She reviewed my set up, made a couple changes, and my pump/filter was up and running. Not only did she come to my home after hours to help with a product I bought elsewhere, she didn’t charge me a dime. I would have gladly paid. I was so appreciative of her going the extra mile to help me. I won’t be purchasing any more pool supplies/products online. Theresa has my business for life! I went to her business the next day and bought a couple supplies. She said to bring her a water sample and she will help me with my chemical application process. In a day and age when customer service is all but forgotten, Theresa gave me back faith that caring people are still out there. Buy local, buy from Theresa!Service:Above ground pool installation

Jack Hicks: I had a nearly green pool thanks to the excessive heat and rain we got a month ago. They analyzed the water, showed me what I needed and it cleared right up. I have been going back and having the water tested every 7 or 8 days and it is staying clear. I would highly recommend this business.
Margaret Helferich: Critical:Punctuality
Timothy King: Very knowledgeable. They don't pressure you into buying things you don't need. When selecting chemicals I was asked what my water was like and what I was trying to do. She said 'you don't need this this or this'. Honesty and good prices, what more could you ask for. This is my 'go to' pool supply shop for my mother's and my pools going forward.

Hunter Park Pool: what do users think?
Danielle Beachnau: This pool is perfect for a hot day its a pretty big pool and theirs really friendly staff/lifeguards!
Sarah Hillman: The staff was friendly and helpful, and the water was clean and refreshing on a hot day. I'm so grateful we have swimming options in Lansing for the public to enjoy.
jackson ngabonziza: Its a good place to swim
Kathy Kreimer: Love this pool and park very kid friendly
Kathryn Shaw: Every time I come here I am harassed and discriminated against. Even though I checked in at the entrance with my driver’s license, I was still asked “If I was an adult?” and “How old are you?” [Well past the age where it’s appropriate to ask this by the way.] This is one of my least favorite places in Lansing. I can’t wait for the East Lansing Aquatic Center to re-open. I would rather pay money to go somewhere else where I can enjoy swimming without being insulted and discriminated against.
Michael: THE GOODNice Pool, Nice PeopleTHE BADDisrespectful/Rude Staff & LifeguardsA few disrespectful children not paying attention of where they are going.I also don't like it where you enter & they want to search your bag/personal belongings. Especially when all I'm bringing is my swim stuff including my swimsuit, towel & a few bottles of water.I don't like it where they ask you for an emergency contact especially when you are an adult. That's good for young children but not everyone has an emergency contact or anyone in their life. So in other words, if you don't have an emergency contact, you get turned away which is sort of discrimination. What happens if a person doesn't have an emergency contact? Can you give them the number to a Hospital or an ER?Other than this, the swimming time that I had there last weekend was great.
Margaret Bucelli: Clean and friendly helpful staff. Strict with safety as they should be but in a friendly helpful way.
Jane Devota: Great way to spend a hot afternoon. The lifeguards we're in the zone and we met new friends.
barbara saldivar: The staff went out of their way to help me with my handicap patient. They were great.
Michael Coe: For a community pool, this was outstanding. The lifeguards and reception staff were strict with the rules, but wouldn’t you want them to be? They are there to keep everyone safe and they did so with grace and good humor. My kids and had a blast. They loved the rock wall!
Vicki: Nice, beautiful
S. J.: Needs one like this on all sides of townWest South frfr help kids out
rob lamoreaux: nice 👌
Samantha Rinehart: The whole staff was rude and abrasive, even to the toddlers. They searched us and our belongings as if we were entering a state penitentiary with no regard to handling our things with care. Doubt we will take the kids there again this year 😒
Itzbxraa: I have nothing to say except I love this place and I have never had any problems with it
Samantha: Not sure what's up with the employees up front. They had a bad attitude towards everyone when we were all confused as to why they're closing at 7 when on the site it says they close at 8.
Sarah Wright: Public pool that is open after memorial day...deep end with life guards who require you do a swimming test to be in the deep end...cool rock wall to climb if you pass the swim test 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️🏊
Suzanne Croston: Nice trail, gorgeous and crisp
Thomas Allen: Nice splash pad and pool. Right by the park.
Destin Bass: During the day its a really nice place but i woudnt dare go there after dark
Danielle H: Great place for kids to get together and have fun! Great splash pad too!
