Tan Xiao Hong: what do users think?
Madelyne Lawry: The best! We are so privileged to have her in our community.
Devin Brines: Legendary.
Tyler Lang: Acupuncture is legit and Dr. Tan is a master. I had 2 bulging discs L3-L4 and L5-S1. MRI said I had the back of a 60yr old (I'm 37). Was on pain meds for over 8 months. Tried physical therapy, McKenzie method exercises, chiropractic, changed sleeping positions. Nothing worked. Only treatments left were spinal injections or back surgery. No thanks! I chose to give Dr Tan a try against all doctors recommendations. Superficial needles they said. I beg you, if you are in pain, give Dr. Tan a try before resorting to injections or surgery. The body has the ability to heal itself with the help of acupuncture and healthy lifestyle.
Richard Martin: I have only had one session - I was sore for about a day but Dr. Tan said that it was part of my body responding and healing itself. I was skeptical, but the next few days I have felt great! My body is moving again and not in pain like it deserves to. I am looking forward to my 9 other appointments that I have with her.
Maraloy Thomas: Wonderful caring and kind!!
Qing Li: Dr. Tan is a excellent doctor with good heart. I came to see her five years after severe depression resulting from side effects of acid reflux medications. Dr. Tan treated me with acupuncture and effective traditional Chinese herbs without any side effects. She treated my whole body as a system not just a local part. I was told by other doctors that my problems cannot be cured. Dr. Tan proved them wrong. She also treated and improved my other problems significantly like allergy, high LDL, headache. She saved my life! Dr. Tan is also a good psychologist who kindly talks to you about what you can do yourself in daily life to get a better health. She constantly encourages you and calms you when you have difficulties. You hardly see any other doctors doing so.Today, I still see her once a week for maintenance and continuing improvements. I do not mind driving one hour from Novi to Lansing almost every week. It is really worth it.
Tim Hillock: With one treatment I quit smoking!! My roommate said I didn't even get too moody and my cravings were limited. I just needed to break the habit afterward. So if you are ready to quit like I was, give Dr. Tan a try. Oh she said I wasn't normal it usually takes 2-3 times to fully quit but I was motivated to quit.
qin li: Dr. Tan successfully treated my Bells Palsy two years ago. Compared with another acupuncture treatment, she is incredibly caring for the whole body health not just treating symptoms. She is very knowledgeable in her field and extremely cares for her patients. If you are looking for a good acupuncture practitioner, Dr. Tan’s masterful hands will help you recover and gain health.
Kelly Eyde: Dr Tan comes with exceptional training and knowledge of Chinese medicine and acupuncture. Her experience as a Dr in China, educator in the medical school there and in Russia gives her the highest credentials over anyone in this area. The results are same day and lasts a long time . She can treat a wide variety of conditions and will take the time to work with your personal needs. Everyone I recommend to her become repeat customers who in turn recommends her as well.
Sheryl Blanchard: Dr. Tan was my last hope to overcome severe tendonitis in my arms, nerve pain, anxiety, and chronic back pain from scoliosis. Because of Dr. Tans experienced and professional acupuncture treatments and her encouragement and kindness, I am a new person. I have a very full productive, pain free, and happy life. Dr. Tan is a gifted doctor of acupuncture. I also benefited from natural herbal medicines that Dr. Tan was able to administer.
Teri Leonard: When I first came to see Dr. Tan, I was unable to sit at my desk due to sciatic pain. After a few treatments I became pain free. She is very kind and takes time to understand your problems.

College of Osteopathic Medicine: what do users think?
Ruth Anker: Excellent faculty, good location and diverse student population. Allowed me to be well prepared for clinical practice.
Bob Ramos: Best place to see a cadaver on campus!
Marsela Hyska Campbell: I attended MSUCOM and I would say that I enjoyed my time there as a medical student. I did not have a hard matching into residency and passed my boards easily.
A A: My opinion based on my experience:The good:-MSUCOM has strong post grad partnerships to choose from when you graduate. It will be easy for you to match into your desired residency.-MSUCOM has some good teachers that can help you. Usually, the newer ones are the best. Teachers become lack-luster after a while.-The three campus system is practical and allows for more options that best fits you lifestyle. The three campuses are located in Detroit, Macomb and East LansingThe bad:-MSUCOM had one of the lowest board scores for osteopathic schools.Poor student support structure for those who go throw hardships. You have 1-3 “psychologists." Just don't bother. The ugly:MSUCOM is a sponsor of institutional discrimination. If your name is Jen, Dave...etc.. feel free to break the professional and legal standards without fear of disciplinary actions. The same goes if you have family or close friends in the staff. Whether its a violent sexual assault or a classic DUI, if you "belong," chances are people on the third floor will sweep it under the rug and you get to do it all over again. On the other hand, if your name is Ode, Fazel, Mohammad, or something too diverse...and you're just not related to anyone that works there...chances the administration will harshly pursue you. Strampel and Nassar are gone but their posse on the third floor are going strong to keep things the same.Due to some relic laws, Medical schools are super powerful. Trust me when I say the Medical students outlined proceedings and rights are not worth the paper they’re printed on. MSUCOM can make a case for disciplinary action over any issue declaring you unfit due to “public safety” reasons. You’re best bet is be prepared and retain outside council in advance (without giving notice to school about that fact obviously). In addition, document any complaints or adverse interactions with students or staff. It is more likely than not that you'll run into unsavory personalities who exhibit schadenfreude-like tendencies and will enjoy watching you struggle.Lastly, privacy and dishonesty. Everything you say will be recorded and used against you. Went to the personal health counseling to vent out? Welp! Whatever you say will be shared and recoded to hold leverage over students later on. So if you have a drinking problem or life stressor...just seek help outside the school. If things turn sour later on, they will make the argument that you had “substance abuse issues anyway.” Regardless how friendly staff looks there, it’s essentially “you vs. them” mentality, but you’re still too young and trusting to see it.Look, I am not telling you not to go there. I am just saying be ready. Things could be sour. Things could be sweet. Generally speaking, you will come out more pessimistic going there based on what I went through.

Deborah Lincoln RN Licensed Acupuncturist.: what do users think?
B P: We have been seeing Deb Lincoln for acupuncture treatments for over twenty years!! She is the absolute best acupuncturist. My doc would only prescribe pain killers and muscle relaxers - - - Deb relieves my pain without medication. A true life saver, we are forever grateful for her knowledge and outstanding care.
Sarah Petrofsky: Deborah is amazing. Her treatment has completely changed my life. I spent a year with debilitating chronic pain before I started seeing her. Now I am back to living the life I want, and feeling even better than I did before the pain. She is wonderful!
janie durga: Friendly, knowledgeable, and professional; plus the first signs of improvement for my chronic migraines in years!
Valerie Kinsora: Best, most well trained Chinese acupuncturist in Lansing area. And such a sense of humor! Been treated by Deborah for about 20 years for chronic conditions and highly recommend her services.
Jessy Beurkens: go to Deborah, she is the nicest person and will make your life amazing. I had migraines weekly for 10 years and she was able to take them away!! I love her!

Solara Wellness Acupuncture & Holistic Health: what do users think?
Abbie Sumrall: Solara Wellness is great and Molly Sweet has been awesome helping me on my journey to and after motherhood. I first saw her for help with postpartum depression after my first son as well as to balance my hormones after a pregnancy loss. Most recently I was over 41 weeks pregnant and doing everything I could to get the labor going naturally so I did not have to be induced. I booked a session with Molly and my contractions started at my session and I was in active labor within 4 hours of leaving and had the baby that night. In addition to the help with all things maternal the staff are super friendly and personable and I highly recommend.
Kim browning: This wellness center is a hidden gem that you must try! The deep tissue massages are fantastic. It has lowered my chronic neck and shoulder pain as well reduced my tension headaches. . Their therapists are very knowledgeable and the best in the area. The staff is amazing with elderly clients as well. My mom, who has Alzheimer’s, receives massages too. They treat her like she’s family. Finally, the last two years we have done the couple’s massages. The room is decorated so cute with Valentine decor. If you don’t have a significant other, bring your BFF or adult child. The experience is truly special.
Heidi Ingalls: Wonderful experience! Calm, relaxing and very helpful! I had custom body work done with Dr. Denise and still feel great 2 days later! She took the time to listen to me and worked out a custom plan that fit my needs! I will definitely be back!
Pamela McAllister: Last time I went I had a massage. My feet have been my target area because they seem to get tight and make it difficult for me to walk long distances and it doesnt matyer the shoe. I talked to my therapist about it and she worked her magic because now, 2 months later, I still feel the effects of her work. I've had this pain for 6 years. It's like my feet get really tight muscles and dont allow blood flow but whatever she did, worked. No joke, I've been to the foot Dr, where they gave me arch supports, bought new shoes and nothing worked. Highly recommended and can't wait to go back!
Latonia Gaston: Omg I got a Reiki massage when I tell you I felt her working my energy. I was so relaxed I didn't even feel like moving when she was done. When she was working my energy I knew instantly my throat chakra was blocked because all the energy went there. I had visions as she was working my energy as well. Def will be back
Jade Torgerson: I had a cupping massage with Denise and it was amazing. The environment is so calming and relaxing. I love the vibe! I will definitely be coming back.
Colleen Pennell: I've been seeing Molly for a few weeks and am feeling better and better every week. I just had the energy works done with Jaquie yesterday and it was life changing. I am so happy that I decided to finally try acupuncture and Molly is guiding me through the process. I would give 10 stars if I could.
Lisa Pangburn: The Solara Wellness staff are so welcoming. I’m always greeted with a friendly smile. I’ve been going to Solara Wellness for acupuncture and can’t say enough good things about Molly. During my initial visit, Molly took the time to explain the process and how the needle placement helps with what I’m trying to treat. The rooms are also set up with peaceful lighting and calming music.
Michelle Judge: Molly is a highly trained acupuncturist and wonderful to work with. I leave feeling relaxed and refreshed. Staff is kind and helpful. I recommend making an appointment!
Jill Smith: Amazing. Jaquie is amazing. I suffer from awful migraines. After working with Jaquie I am headache free. As an added bonus she has incorporated reiki and cranial sacral work into our sessions. The stress relief I have experienced has been noticeable and I know all of these practices together have 100% taken my headaches away. I keep waiting for a headache....one month and so far so great. The staff is amazing. I really can’t say enough about Solara Wellness. I just booked an appointment for my daughter, that says volumes.
Becca Sheaffer: Highly recommend if you are looking for acupuncture! Everything is clean and it’s a very relaxing environment.
Derek McKerr: I recently had a nice massage with Jaquie. She was informational about everything she was doing and was able to focus on old sports injuries that bother me during the colder months. After months of dealing with the pandemic my body felt very tight, a massage was exactly what I needed and met all my expectations. Solara Wellness is clean, relaxing, and welcoming.
Shaenna Meagher: Molly's super nice! I came for tendinitis in my hand. After a few treatment my pain in my hand is nearly gone! This is after dealing with it daily for 9 months. Super glad she was recommended to me to help with this!
Jamie T: Excellent service! I was having daily pain in three areas (shoulder, knee and nerve issues in my finger.)I had surgery, seen 2 hand specialists and 2 surgeons...no answers. I decided to try acupuncture...I knew after the first treatment it was working. I had a ttl of 5 treatments....unbelievable healing! So thrilled not to have to live in daily agony.Highly recommend Molly Sweet and acupuncture!I went for the finger pain...all areas were better after 2 treatments...but finger needed the additional.Supplements sold here are great too!
Elizabeth McKerr: I have been going to Solara Wellness weekly for acupuncture since July while doing IVF treatments. I can’t say enough wonderful things about my experiences there. Molly is very knowledgeable in the entire IVF process and how acupuncture can help. She is familiar with all the terms and procedures - which makes it very easy to communicate where you are in your cycle and what is coming next. Molly has also explained the benefits of continuing acupuncture into your pregnancy and before birth. It is the most relaxing experience that I look forward to every week.Lastly, I enjoy going to Solara Wellness because it feels more personal than other holistic clinics in the area I have been to before. You are never waiting for appts, and are able to change times/days if needed. I would recommend them to any of my friends - and would encourage anyone going through their own fertility journey to go!There is also a dog there!
Lauren Wagamon: I have been going to Solara Wellness for Acupuncture while undergoing IVF. The Solara Wellness staff are always so sweet and welcoming at each appointment. I was scared to at first to have a bunch of needles in me, but it is not painful, you barely feel them. The whole experience is just blissfully relaxing. Molly is very knowledgeable about how to boost fertility success. Solara is very affordable as far as acupuncture goes, and they offer discounted rates when you purchase packages of sessions. I am so grateful for my experience at Solara and highly recommend it.
samantha proske: Molly is so kind and ensures she caters to your acupuncture needs. She was very helpful in making some of my back pain fade away or for any acute issue! Very relaxing and reasonable price !
Erin Cairns: I received acupuncture treatments with Molly before and after IVF and FET this year. I enjoyed it and felt like it helped my over all wellness. I was able to conceive after my first transfer and am now 23 weeks pregnant. I highly recommend her and am very pleased with my experience!
Ashly O'Brien: I was a bit nervous to give acupuncture a try, but I absolutely love it! It’s so relaxing, honestly you can’t feel the needles one bit. I am currently going to Molly for acupuncture to help with my upcoming frozen embryo transfer, but I would be up to coming back after for stress and anxiety relief.
Erin Radley: I sought acupuncture to help with overall wellness - and it is wonderful. Molly makes me feel very comfortable throughout the whole process- I even fall asleep!! Great acupuncturists!!
Jennifer Van Loan: Molly is professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. Acupuncture has been very helpful to me with both fertility issues and controlling severe migraines. I would gladly refer others to her for treatment.

College of Veterinary Medicine: what do users think?
Carolyn Robbins: Dr. Billie Beckwith-Cohen and senior vet student Stephanie took excellent & compassionate care of my sweet but anxious Cattle Dog, Barry - above & beyond. Will keep this review updated thru Barry’s healing process. So far, excellent experience with all staff members during tough circumstances. Thank you!
Bethany W: Dr. Jose and the team are amazing.
Derek Williams: 1 star simply for the rude, arrogant, and poor care provided to our pet by Billie Beckwith-Cohen. It is very clear she only cares about doing her own research and she has no passion or desire to provide clinical care. It is disappointing of the clinic to allow her to continue to do so. The student doctors and support staff deserve a 5 star review.
Dan Summers: Took our cat Abby for surgery. She's on the mend.
Linda Clark: My daughter has spent over $7,000 on two of her animals and they called to let her know on a voicemail the dog was infected with brucella (CDC reported invective disease) and to quarantine not only herself but family, other animals etc. Also started to euthanize the 3 year old extremely loved animal. It's been 2 days since the voicemail and that one person is bothered to speak with her regarding what to do next it's absolutely unacceptable and I'm completely blown away by the lack of regard for people's time, lives, and zero direction on how to proceed. Absolutely unacceptable. I would give you zero Stars if I could.
Susan S: My westie has been through a lot. Many docs just taking my money. No answers. One visit with them and all my questions got answered. The time they took with me and my dog meant the world to me. They even explained what others doctors did. I am so grateful to them and though they are almost 2 hours away,it’s worth it.The internist spent a lot of time with me and my dog.Anyone that says anything negative hasn’t been to other vets. It’s comforting to have a team of people help with the health of your pet. Highly recommended them. Great staff and knowledgeable.Wanted to update my review.I took my dog to Er on New Year’s Eve. It is a completely different experience in Er.I wasted 8 hrs. No answers. Desk staff rude. Unhelpful. So if you can wait to see the reg vet clinic do so. Or go to emergency close to home. The Msu staff is usually so great and helpful. Not in Er
Colleen Lawfield: Took my kitten there. The staff is so sweet. They let me know what the prices would be right away.
Katie Matsuda: Took my dog Baby in there because she was ill and was not herself. They came out with a stretcher and got her in the back for tests. Unfortunately it wasn't the answer I wanted and emergency surgery was too high risk and it would of probably bought her a few more months. So I made the hardest decision to let her go. They were so kind and compassionate and gave me all the time I needed to say goodbye. I was very thankful they got me in right away so Baby wouldn't have to suffer anymore.
pam kimber: The staff is second to none. The love and care that Opal received was unparalleled. MSU saved her life and our hearts ♥️ so thorough. So kind. So loving. It's really is a magical place here on earth 🌍 words cannot describe the gratefulness we feel. Too many names to mention that touched her (literally touched her) in so many amazing ways. Please don't ever stop doing what you do with the passion that is obvious. Truly epic experience. Thank you 😊
Roxanne Pingel: I recently had to take my Quarter Horse gelding in for penile cancer, and the staff has been nothing but OUTSTANDING. From the care, procedures, updates and communication. My horse was having a very invasive and extensive surgery, and the vets at MSU have been nothing short of amazing. I have been updated every single step of the way. I have not had to worry about the care my horse was in one second. Huge shout out to JACKIE WILLETTE, DVM. Thank you MSU for loving and caring for my horse like I do.
Ali Reda Jeafar: I brought my 13 yo cat in after he was diagnosed with the injection site sarcoma cancer and from the moment I walked through the door, i felt like everything was going to be ok. The staff was kind, well informed, and always kept me in the loop about the treatment, how my big guy was doing, and about what the next steps were going to be. I can't recommend them enough.
Katherine Hanley: The service provided was exceptional. Every person we met was kind, thorough, and professional. We had more answers after one day than we likely would have had in three days through our local providers, thanks to their efficiency. The answers we got weren't easy ones to hear but the news was delivered clearly and directly. Overall, it was worth the drive from the metro Detroit area. Thank you for helping us.
Ruth Barshaw: Sudden complications from a neck tumor sent our elderly dog into panic and our family into turmoil. Worse, our daughter, his owner, was traveling at the time. We hurried to MSU Vet Clinic where our pup was immediately received, sedated, and diagnosed. Meanwhile the staff offered water bottles and hugs to me and my family -- we were already crying and distraught. The doctor spoke with our daughter on a video call throughout and we helped usher the dog into his next journey with love and dignity. It was awful. And beautiful. The entire staff at the clinic was compassionate and warm and kind. I will never forget this and will be forever grateful. Thank you, MSU. The Vet Clinic is the very best of the best you offer.
Pj Rooney: Extremely rude receptionist!
David Johnson: Was referred here by a veterinary cardiologist(photo taken from their office 2/10) for a urgent surgical consult. I was told that because my dog was in stable condition and was not transferred directly into their care that I had to schedule an appointment regardless which was about a month from now. They also informed me that I could "try" to get in sooner by having my dogs primary vet call and explain the situation to them they could "try" to get him in sooner. Well that was Friday 2/11 and my dog ended up passing away late Saturday night. So if your trying to save any of your beloved animals do yourself and them a favor and don't even bother calling this place as they could honestly care less.
Cammila Collar: My elderly cat received fantastic care for a serious injury that required surgery. The team at MSU not only performed the surgery safely and effectively in a state-of-the-art facility, they also patiently answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns before and after. I was incredibly anxious, but every doctor, tech, and receptionist I dealt with at MSU made me feel good about the care my cat was receiving, and informed about how to care for him once he was home. I can't recommend this the MSU Vet Center enough.
capital loop: They will push you to neuter or spay your animal and use death to achieve this goal especially if you have a pit bull or and dog in that category. Wont say its racial but its something.
Douglas Gabel: I brought my 15 year old cat to the MSU hospital after he went blind seemingly overnight. Within moments of seeing him they determined his blood pressure was through the roof and the most likely cause of his blindness. The Ophthalmology department started him on blood pressure medicine immediately and drops to stave off inflammation from his now torn retinas. They then gave a referral to Internal Medicine who saw him the next week. They gave him a complete examination including Ultrasound and Cardiology. To have the ability in one place for so many specialties to consult at the same time, let alone the clinicians who actually teach their specialties is a blessing. The staff and professionals clearly understand the bond between a pet and its owner and they give kind, loving care as if your pet were actually their pet. Just can't say enough good things about them. By the way he is stable now and as far as being blind? Well, cats are amazing, it took him 2 days to map out the house and he pretty much does everything he did before becoming blind. You probably would not know it if you saw him.
M N: Wonderful experience, they saved my Cosmo’s life when he had aspiration pneumonia. Kept in touch with me twice a day while he was there. Best care ever. Dr. Jasmine and Dr Carey are wonderful
Felix Flynn: When I arrived at MSU my partner and I were distraught messes. A student passing by ended up leading us to the right place and even helped get us checked in and thag kindness helped so much. After that all the front desk staff and vets were so patient and sympathetic with us. Unfortunately our kitten ended up passing, but even through that they were so kind to us and said such sweet things about our girl. I appreciate the way they treated us, it meant so much.
Valley: We had to put our 16 yr old golden doodle down, and they were very caring and helpful!
