University Club of Michigan State University: what do users think?
Marie S.: We had a Birthday Party for my Dad. Every aspect was a positive experience. We chose a surf & turf meal and the guests LOVED it! If you are a member, then you'll know that the Sunday Brunch is unmatched. I highly recommend The University Club.
Deb Black: Many choices and delicious food!
Richard Greiner: Very good venue for a banquet. Food was well prepared and service was great!
Bjoern Hamberger: En par. Great facilities, if you don't mind that they are timed. Seriously considering joining. Good visit with an awesome lunch. Pool, gym and child care? Sounds like a great alternative to the obscenely expensive MAC. Under consideration.
Benn Nethaway: Excellent food at very reasonable prices.
M L: Very nice facilities. Good food.
Jason Bristow: We have been members for a few years and love the U-Club. Wonderful place!
John Reynolds: Sunday Brunch. Nice setting and service, but bit too pretentious for me, but tolerable. Unfortunately the food was weak, nothing memorable in a positive way. Cold shrimp looked great, but were ruined by over-cooking. Some interesting smoked fish. Prime rib: my first very thin piece was decent, medium rare. When another roast was brought out it, like the shrimp, was ruined by over-cooking. Unfortunately both rib roasts were inferior pieces of meat to begin with; very lean with no marbling, and the tender cap had been removed. Even thin slicing and great au-jus couldn't save the beef, very disappointing. Imagine medium-well round roast. However the bacon and hash-brown potatoes were great, and so was the keylime pie. Sorry for the weak review; I know they can and should do much better.
Patricia Ohearn: Very professional staff!Warm, inviting atmosphere.Superb dining experience!
Dan: A very nice place for a wedding reception. The staff was on thier A game. The bar tenders made strong drinks. The coconut shrimp appetizers were great. All of the apps were delicious just those shrimp stood out. The dinner was a filet. It was very nice just slightly over cooked, but the flavor was amazing. The other option was salmon and a few at my table order it. They all raved about it and I thought it looked great. I almost wished I ordered it.
Lew Dotterer: Some good food at the brunch buffet on a Sunday. Breakfast fare was pretty good. Salads had great flavors. Shrimp was excellent. Prime rib was not tender and was very rare.Desserts were pretty good, too.It was so kind of our friends to take us. We will owe them a very nice dinner out in the near future. The place was not busy at 12 noon. We left by 2 p.m. and they were clearing the food off the serving tables.Staff were kind and not in a hurry. We did wait a while to be seated. Not sure what happened to that gentleman!
Blake Wilson: I like the pool and the food but kids camp was really really boring. Because I was 12 and there were only like 7 year old’s
Kathleen Jones: Had lunch with a friend
johnnie Mendenhall: Nice place, ok food and drinks, served in a nice atmosphere
Mark Jaeger: The Club remains the best upscale restaurant in Mid-Michigan. And they're starting to get a reasonable number of patrons back.
Dee Webb: Went with a family from church. It was perfect.
Geo L: Average facility in scenic area by the MSU West golf course. The lunch/dinner service is simply average. Food was merely average at best and overpriced. Enjoyable spot and pools were to be redone so there could be improvements going forward. If you're there for golf...enjoy.
Robbin: Enjoyed brunch at the University Club with family. Great food and wonderful service. Thank you 😊
Wes Blackman: Always excellent. Great place for long time friend get-togethers and out of town guests.
Dean Clem: We had a bridal shower at the Uclub yesterday and it was fantastic! The food, desert and wait staff could not have been better! Outstanding!
Scott Moore: Went to the pool with family. Impressed in so many ways. Pool is in great shape and very clean, lifeguards were on guard and attentive, Snack bar was excellent!

Sam's Club: what do users think?
Debra Kipper: Nice place and friendly people.
Julia Cagigas: Es tienda almacen donde encuentras de todo, y muy amplio, ademas el personal si necesitas de su ayuda, son muy atentos y serviciales
Lee Edwards: Very nice workers but as unloaders they are really slow, my appt was 5:30am got there at that time and got in the dock but I didn’t get out atill 9:20am
James Pock: Gas always the best price
M: Had to wait over 10 minutes in line just to leave after paying, there was probably 30-40 people in line not moving because of some issue they were incapable of resolving themselves without calling over the manager. Not to mention they allow solicitors to set up shop inside the store and disturb people while they’re shopping and ask to see their gas bill. Completely unacceptable and inappropriate considering it’s a paid membership.
Dan Hoard (DanThePiMan): Absolutely avoid the Lansing Towne Center Sam's Club location! I've been a member at this location for years. Have had nothing but bad experiences lately. Buying tires there 4 months ago was an unmitigated distaster. While doing my routine shopping lately, the people at the door at that location are rude, slow, and unfriendly. Every time I've spoken to them recently, the managers are either too scared they'll lose their jobs or they just don't care. They recently changed their app, too, so Scan & Go no longer works. But that is a corporate-wide complaint, to be fair. Still, it's no longer convenient nor pleasant to shop at the Lansing Towne Center location. My advice: drive to Flint or Battle Creek. MUCH better customer experience at either of those locations. Trust me, the extra drive is worth the difference in customer service, and to not have your day ruined.
Joey D: Great warehouse club. Bulk quantities. Superior quality. Very reasonable prices. Families and businesses cannot go wrong. Staff is friendly and helpful.
JoeANN Tredway: Great price for what I use.
A KWM: I like the store but I wanted to put an order in for cupcakes and was told, “nobody will take it, it’s too early.” And then wasn’t given an actual date that I could put it in. This seems like a super backwards system. Most places like advance notice so they can plan ahead and make more money/take more orders. I feel like the woman on the phone was lying because she had no particular day that the order could be placed. If the computer system makes you wait a certain number of day prior, she would’ve had an exact date. She also started the conversation with, “if you’re looking for tomorrow, we are full.” She seemed rude and like she really just didn’t want to take an order and I now feel like I can’t count on sams to make our order.
DAVID L. MALHALAB: Same / different ...Costco...BJs....Needs more Rana products
Erik Frank: Customer service gentleman that helped me today reissue my card was very helpful. Store was clean and very well kept
Josh I: Good selection of beef, pork, chicken and seafood. Love the sushi and baked goods. Go to place for all your bulk needs.
F F: Manager has been rude to customers and employees during multiple visits. Store is great otherwise.
Jessica Jones: Love being able to buy in bulk. Not enough cashier's though
Jåden Sylvan: Literally, the BEST place to get groceries, cloths, and entertainment electronics.💚💙
Damyon Finch: It's a quick experience if you use the scan and go option in the app. You can also use EBT in the scan and go too, so that's really nice. You'd be surprised at how much stuff they sell if you've never gotten a membership.
bernie kilmartin: Love this Sam's club.
Maureen Marshall: I love Sam's they have the beat deals
Kathy Zenker: Good prices! 😊 Saturday was busy!!!
Bruce Byrne's: Friendly and helpful employees. They updated the inside.
Medardo Antonio Rodriguez: Just good as always.

BJ's Wholesale Club: what do users think?
Mary Ellen Lowe: My favorite Wholesale Club. Friendly and helpful employees. Store is clean, neat and organized. Great gasoline prices.
BreadLicker: Do not get a membership with them they will tell you that you off you decided to accept renewal each year but I didn't I got charged the 55 membership even though I don't remember telling them that I wanted the renewal because I was just going to try it for a year to see if I like it and not only that they recharge the membership a month before it expires who does that stay away from this company go to Costco's or Sam's Club way better
Joni Riffle: I would give zero stars if I could. Found a Cuisinart set of pans at Canton BJ’s that I wanted. It was 15 piece set, a BJ’s exclusive. Unfortunately, they didn’t have any and it was discontinued. However, the Lansing club had 5. Great! I called the Lansing club and spoke with Daniel. I told him what I was looking for and he told me they had 1 on display and 4 in the rafters. I asked if I could pay for them over the phone and have them shipped to me. He didn’t’ know if that could be done, but said I could buy them on line and have them shipped. Again, great! He gave me the item number, and it came back no such item. He couldn’t get a manager because they were having a “hiring event” and they couldn’t be bothered. So, what do I do? I use my only day off to drive 1 and a half hours to Lansing to make my purchase. I go to the counter to ask for help on the floor (I need someone to get something out of the rafters) to which she says oh, I don’t think we can do that during the day, let me call a manager. The manager comes over, and again I explain to her what I’m there for. About 10 minutes later she comes back to tell me that apparently I was given false information. I saw the set on display. The computer says they have 5, but she can’t find them. I was quite upset. Why do you still have the product on display if it’s discontinued and you don’t have any in stock? Unbelievable - the only good thing I can say about that club was that Daniel was very helpful on the phone. Too bad he wasn’t working on Monday when I went in.Zero customer service there!
Chris Lesnar: Customer service are very slow! They need to hire more people that familiar with the technology ! I was there today to return an item. I stand in the line for almost an hour ! And they wasn’t busy ! It was just three people in line! They took such a long time to serve one customer !
Tia Terpening: I was an employee until recently when I walked out. This place is absolutely horrible, toxic and overly priced. They are CONSTANTLY short staffed and due to that they overwork their employees. The store manager Mike is the reason for the short staffing, trying to stay under budget with staffing for his own incentives. They claim to have an “open door policy” but you are always pushed away by the store manager when we come to him with anything. He gives eye rolls, shoulder shrugs and smirks when you try explaining anything to him (if he does give you a minute of his time). He was a favorite of mine until the day I walked out when he mocked my very WELL documented and LONG history of chronic illness (which I had FMLA for upon leaving). He’s very UNPROFESSIONAL and too IMMATURE to be running a store, and lacks a great deal of compassion for human beings. A great company is ran by happy employees…he has absolutely no sense on how to do that, just worried about making himself look good to those above him.My stress level has greatly decreased since leaving. God speed to anyone that applies for a job here lol✌🏻
Karina Alvarez: I do enjoy the welcoming of the store and friendly staff.
Shawn Spencer: Firstly - there's a LOT of highly questionable no-comment 5-star reviews for this place. Seriously wish they'd just go out of business and be replaced with a Costco or Sams already. Worst run whole-sale club there is, better off going to Wal-mart.
Maria Lopez: I have worked so hard but only not to get notice except for the ones that don't they cherish 💯
sunyana wilson: This place is way overpriced. Take your money elsewhere! They treat employees poorly. Go get a SAMS CLUB membership instead, they always run deals for $25 memberships. 👍🏽
Brian Corson: No nacho cheese for the soft pretzels. The most expensive prices on groceries, go to Walmart across the street. It's always empty when I go in, I wonder why??? Hmm, prices cough, prices cough. I only get gas here.
Lisa Lupini: The coupon books they give you in the front of the store are full of expired coupons This cost me 6$ today
The Art of Dad: Deals are just ok. They never have staff for the snack food so they never have it available certainly don't sign up for that perk.
Laura Curry: I purchased a membership in Feb 2022 after receiving a flyer that advertised a $40 store credit after paying the $55 membership fee. I had to call customer care several times to get the credit because it did not come as described by the salesperson in the store. My family shopped here several times and were generally satisfied with the store and products, but we didn't use the membership. BJ's sends multiple emails to me weekly advertising their products, but I am concerned as to why they did not send me an email about my auto renewal as a reminder. I realize that ultimately, it's my responsibility to keep track of, but it would be a nice customer service move to receive a notice ahead of time. Now I have been chasing down a refund for over a month, and have called their customer care at least 4 times because the information about my refund that they've provided has been false every single time. I am currently on hold because a customer service rep hung up on me when I was attempting to get answers once again. My advice--DO NOT GIVE ONE RED CENT TO THIS COMPANY! I would give a minus 5 star rating if I were able!
Charmica Terry: Another terrible experience at BJs! Every time I do a pickup order there is a problem! The app won't let me check-in, app tells me i don't have an order, missing items when I get home. This store is a disservice to Delta twp. & I will not recommend to anyone 😤
Josh I: Smaller store than the other members clubs in the area but not a bad thing. BJ's brand products are good. The discounted gas is great
Screech 1977: Okay I was thinking about not renewing my membership. But I’m so glad I didn’t go though with not renewing! So far this year I have saved several hundred dollars on everyday items. I saved 300 dollars alone on tires (Goodyear) when compared to Belle Tire and Discount Tire. So much money has been saved on everyday items ranging from toilet paper to laundry soap. You really just have to look around and think outside of the box. Even water is so much cheaper! Yes I love this place better than Sams! I even bought my eye glasses here recently! No I’m not an employee or paid by this place but just thankful that they have saved my family so much money in this inflationary economy. God bless!
Lucas Schartzer: U can't pay at the pump with your phone..what is this 1932. I mean get with it..what a shame.
Chandra Rogers: I would’ve given 1 stars if it wasn’t for the guy at the door and Bob handing out toilet paper samples. They were really kind.Go to self checkout and I ask the lady does she know when produce comes in. No one was in produce so that’s why I asked her. She looks at me like ‘how would I know?’ As if I shouldn’t ask her a question that’s not related to her specific department. She then proceeds to ask another lady (with shaved head) at the small desk to the right. She too looks like she has no clue and says we can get a truck any day. That’s understandable. So I have three large cases of water and grapes and I’m the only one in self checkout. Instead of the lady offering to scan my waters, I have to ask her to scan them. Before I can even finish my sentence, she cuts me off and says, ‘I’ll scan it for you.’ Well oompa, why didn’t you just come over and scan my damn waters instead if staring at me?I’ve never received this type of attitude from this establishment, so I’m a bit annoyed.
Teresa Barcy: I don’t have time to clip coupons just do the savings up front. Also the store seems so disorganized to me.
John Sharp: Bought a BJ card through Groupon in Nov, 2021. Store didnt open until Jan 2022. They wouldnt accept card in Dec 2022. Said I should have bought from BJ. I had purchases in my cart but walked out. Will never go back.Store looks bad. Few customers. Quess I'm not the only disappointed past customer!
Brandon Salmo: Amazing
