Fenner Nature Center: what do users think?
Ski Going: Great place to visit. Also it's a nice refreshing place to get married at.Dog-friendliness: Pet friendly
Rose Brown: My first time there and I took my next door neighbor and she was schooling me on all the nature she was seeing. She took her kids there when they were little and her grandkids. Now she has the pleasure of taking her great grandkids. I look forward to taking my granddaughter there to see nature. We will be even more excited to the 🦋🦋 when they start arriving. If you have never been there it's a good place to take the kids, have a picnic lunch and what's also great about it is, that it's free! Who doesn't like FREE 😄.
Jerry T Johnson: Wounderful
Angela Levack Michael: A slice of heaven in the city! Beautiful trails, not overly crowded, we love Fenner!
Crystal Simmer: Loved it when they had fish. 🤷‍♀️
David Hranac (Marcus yallow): A Great place to take pictures and leaf only memories.
Sosha Knapp: Peaceful well loved area
Michael Spencer: Fantastic get away, 5 minutes from my workplace....nice wind down for lunchtime.
jim: really dirty
David McFarlane: Turtles out today!
Joel Gerring: This is a very nice place to take in the natural beauty of the area, but be forewarned, if you’re looking for a facility to have a retreat or meeting where conversation and learning can occur, the Susan & Jack Davis Nature Pavilion is not suitable. Very poor acoustics (echoey), a noisy heating system, and very loud bathroom hand dryers are a constant source of distraction for both presenters and audience members.I’m not sure if the park advertises this facility as one that can be used for speaking engagements, but it was most definitely not designed with that use in mind.
Jenny Keihl: One of my favorite places to take a walk.
Ricky Longacre: A good place to walk the trails. Maybe a mile + of trails. Very nice.
Austin Alexander: A nice combination of terrain and opportunity to see trees, open areas, and a variety of wildlife
Sarah Hillman: Fenner is great. A beautiful place to walk and enjoy the birds and the trees and the open sky. Also, my sister rented the conference center for a huge babyshower and the spot was lovely. Great views, lots of windows and light, nice big open floor plan. A lovely spot for a function.
Tiffany Gravier: Wonderful place for the whole family :)
Coqui Ta: Beautiful and clean trails.
Jeremy Hartsock: Heard a Bard Owl 🦉
Phil Damico: Always awesome. Beautiful peaceful place to visit. Good place to get your inner zen on or for clearing your mind or just enjoying nature. Who doesn't like a park place on a sunny day?
Alyssa Slocombe: There are beautiful nature trails. The fall colors were breathtaking. I liked the fact that we walked on the ground and not on the pavement that s the way a natural trail should be. This place was clean and you can tell they take pride in their park. I was impressed at how well they maintained everything.
Sally Cremeans: Very rustic ,but nice trails

AM V: Free nice little botanic garden.
Farah Siddiqi: Variety of plants and seeds are there.Genetically modified and other research goes on here on 🌱 🍀different plant species and diseases

Kaleigh Schneider: So beautiful and peaceful!!
maria wong: Its a beautiful Garden with many types of plantsThe Rose garden will be most attractive place when they bloom but unfortunately i went at the wrong timing. To teach, to learn, to plant and to harvest are what its all about
Christina Cameron: My daughter went here a school field trip. The volunteers/teachers were friendly and knowledgeable. The woman was super patient and great with the kids!
Tejas Deoras: It was not well maintained and great as expected. Kinda disappointed that MSU did not maintain the park properly.
N.L. Morrison: Cute! So nice in the spring/summer.
Melissa Woo: The MSU Horticulture Gardens have an incredible variety of areas representing different types of plants. There are areas such as the rose garden, hosta garden, clematis area, perennial and annual gardens, and many more! There are also experimental areas where plants are being tested for companies. The Horticulture Gardens are also a popular place for weddings. It's a great place to visit!

Zachary Butte: Kids love the maze. Great spot for the kids to release extra energy
sever tita: Dog-friendliness: No dogs allowed
Josh Long: Beautiful place and a great venue for wedings
OTS Purveyor Services: Beautiful place to get married!

Sam Vincent: Peaceful
jasmine cardenas: Playground: Kid playground super cuteRestrooms: Good. Spaced outPicnic area: Few spots for seating . Good to bring blankets
Jim DeLine: What a gem. Can't afford to take the family to an amusement park? No problem you will all enjoy your time at the MSU Horticulture Gardens.
Torrence Riddick: Very beautiful on a nice sunny day
Ruth: Terrific garden! Visited on a warm September day and it was still showing summer color
Avery Carmack: My husband and I just got married in the North Gardens / Conservatory in August 2022. Overall the venue was absolutely beautiful, though I felt compelled to leave this review and share my experience working with Amy and the other event staff. We toured the gardens in February 2022 and were told with an overwhelming amount of certainty that we would be WELL taken care of on our wedding day. The event staff said they would act as day-of coordinators by making sure our vendors knew where to go and had everything they needed, helping the wedding party get down the aisle on time, and continuously monitor the entire event to ensure it was going smoothly. Sadly that was far from the truth. The entire planning process with Amy was very frustrating as she would rarely respond to emails. We were left guessing when the final count, payments, and other important information such as the layout was due to her and despite trying to call or set up a meeting, we were at the mercy of whenever she decided to respond. The staff during our rehearsal the day prior to the wedding were difficult to track down and were wildly unhelpful. On the day of, a handful of things went wrong such as a hose being turned on INSIDE the conservatory. Just moments before I walked down the aisle outside, our reception space was quickly flooding. Thankfully our florist was there and was able to handle the situation, though overall my husband, our wedding party, and our parents were all left very disappointed by the staff as they were no where to be found. Another frustration on the day-of was getting my phone back to see a handful of texts from the gardens staff asking basic questions about our wedding that I had THOROUGHLY communicated via email. You're really texting the bride on her wedding day? Are you kidding me? I guess the list of other contacts I sent them several times was not enough, because they didn't care to read it!Overall our wedding day went very smoothly, but that is because of our other vendors and wedding party that were able to quickly compensate for the changes and small road bumps. The gardens themselves are gorgeous and a wonderful space to check out if you are a student or passing through, though if you are considering having your wedding or other special event here, beware of the very unorganized event staff!
Karen: Great place to spend an afternoon. The children's garden was so bright and colorful! Tge annual garden....wow!!! All of it, so lovely.
Susan Hamrick: Fantastic!! Even with it being the end of a hot summer still tons of wonderful flowers and plants.
Tonino Pacifico: Wonderful respite

Alternate Trailhead Lake Lansing Park North: what do users think?
Brian Bridson: Neighborhood entrance to the Lake Lansing Park North trail system. Enters on the Blue trail loop; if you proceed clockwise on the trail you arrive at the main parking area, restrooms, etc. within 1 mile. If you continue on the Blue trail, it’s about 3.4 miles around the loop.
Sherrie: Vernal ponds,
Bill Bradfield: Skip the Lake Lansing Park North parking lot hype scene with its loud, grubby rugrats & upper middle class grandparents wearing Vans and Converse. The Alternate Trailhead is in a nice quiet neighborhood with street parking and virtually no pedestrian traffic. Plus it accesses the trail system towards its end, so if you head due East (right at the first fork) you'll not only encounter limited fellow hikers, but those you do will be walking in the opposite direction. Meaning you'll avoid that awkward situation when you're in close proximity to other hikers moving in the same direction at the same speed.**** that.
Paul Troutman: It’s a Parking area, my car fit here, we exited and walked the trail. 5 Stars.
Kathalene Sherwood: Nice place but the neighbors, don't like you in the area. 🙃
tom adams: Still bad icy sections as of 3/10. Great place, been coming here for years.
Mark Woodcox: Nice hiking trails.
Bryce Borgialli: The best place to access the north park trails.
Nancy Lansing: Life in Nature, nature in my life.
David McCollum: A well maintained trail system that drains quickly and doesn't hold water. Lots of wildlife. Great for a family hike or to leg out a trail running workout. I love it here.
Tim Othy: This trail is great!
jjstorm9 (jjstorm9): Great for jogging!
