Spartan Asphalt Paving Co: what do users think?
Business Man: Excellent customer service, with a clean and well organized yard.
Matt Biek: Do you need to pave a Highway? A Road? A Trail? A strange hole that keeps forming in your Driveway? Go with MPM. They know what they are doing and do it safely.
Zach Engelman: Do you really have to burn in the middle of the afternoon for three hours straight? The smog covering Granger Meadows Park just north of your operation was so thick I almost died from an Asthma attack — I filed a complaint w/ the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy. Can’t you move to somewhere other than right in the middle of a highly populated municipal area? I realize it’s convenient to be located so close to the highway 👎🏻👎🏻
Eduardo Delgado: Great service. I will be going back when I need materials and will recommend
Hilary Olson: Critical:QualityHow is it legal for this company to fill an ENTIRE city with putrid gas fumes? And how is a tiny asphalt company creating a toxic smell so overwhelming that it can reach an entire city?
imallwayshappy: Did they change hands ?
Eric Mckenna: Great place to work with they always have what I need when I need it.
andrea smith: Prices were pretty high

Capital Asphalt LLC: what do users think?
Robert Epps: Lack of communication and scheduling. They showed up in September around 3:00 in the afternoon no phone call first to see if that day even worked, they didn't even call miss dig first. We had to decline the work on that day because we were not prepared when they said middle of October. I am concerned about how the installation would go so we felt like it is in our best interest to cancel our contract with them and go with a different contractor.
Daniel J Howard: I don't even know where to begin with how frustrating and disappointing this entire experience was trying to work with this company. From the lack of communication, the poor quality of work, the assurance that their mistakes were not actually mistakes or their fault, how oblivious they were to obvious problems that should have been addressed, or how they were always in a rush to get the job done as quickly (with no regard to quality) as possible. They were just awful to deal with for five months.Don't construction companies follow the motto "measure twice and cut once"? Not this company. They proved over and over again that the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. When the prep crew graded the foundation and left an enormous dip, they said they actually had leveled it. When we pointed out that it was NOT level, they assured us that even though the prep crew left a large dip, the finish crew would take care of it. Then, even after we were promised this would not happen, the finish crew left an enormous dip right in the middle of the driveway, an inch deep and 8 feet wide X 12 feet long. Again, the company assured us that this was no big deal and that the crew had indeed leveled the driveway properly. They made us feel like we were imagining this pond in our driveway and then they wanted to collect payment! After showing them how big the puddle was that would not drain for 72 hours despite the August heat, they told us they would patch it. Seriously? Your solution is to patch a brand new driveway? After we said no to that, they said they would put in a wedge instead.I'm not sure why this company doesn't care about simply doing the job correctly the first time, but that is exactly the message they sent us continually. After two months in which this company completely disappeared, they showed up unannounced again. (Showing up unannounced has been the norm. No phone call the day before or morning of so we could move vehicles or open the garage door). They dug out the existing driveway and then left it that way with no word on when they may come back. After two weeks or so, they showed up completely unannounced yet again and started pouring new asphalt on a cold, wet day (driveway was soaked), trapping my car in the garage. After this second attempt at getting the driveway level, they built the driveway above the level of the sidewalk, there are still lumps and low spots, and the water drains onto the sidewalk filling it full of water.I cannot believe the utter lack of communication and unwillingness to do a job right the first time (or second time). It's as if they adhere to the philosophy of, "I don't have to see it from my house," or, "good enough for who it's for," while doing a shoddy job and hoping to get out of there as fast as possible.Honestly, this review doesn't touch on half of the issues. There are far more problems and details, but this review is already too long.Bottom line- please, do NOT hire this company for your driveway needs unless you want poor communication and poor work and for someone to inconvenience your life for months on end.Service:Driveway replacement
Cody Breckel: Critical:Professionalism
Randal Axline: Capital did a great job. They were prompt and the crew was professional and friendly. Capital's quote got to me quickly and it was far lower than the competitors.I highly recommend Capital Asphalt to anyone who is looking for a high quality, professional job!Service:Driveway installation
Jessica Anthony: Have been trying to call around to get asphalt on our driveway, my husband had talked to someone here a week ago who said someone would be out to look at our driveway, he called again to confirm because we were never given a time or day and they told him that their estimator was out on unexpected leave and when asked when he would be back, they didn’t know. How do you only have one estimator working for your company? And how do you not have any information on then that one estimator will be back? Seems really unprofessional and that maybe your company doesn’t want to come out because you feel like it’s a waste of time or you just don’t care enough?
Jon Christophel: They have nice water..for my mill
DJ R: after posting last review I did receive a phone call to resolve the issues which I appreciate, so changed my opinion about the company.Service:Asphalt paving repair
David Kessler: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueGreat job, great company, great peopleServices:Excavation grading,Asphalt paving repair,Paving job site preparation
Denise Ray: Lot full of customers or some hot mix
Tom Boston: Critical:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueDO NOT use this company, they hire crooks and don’t do the work they promise. Worse hire I ever made.Service:Asphalt paving repair
Lelee: Fast not so friendly friendly service but fast and good quality!
Josh Puuri: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueThese guys did great work at my new house. 80ft drive with turnaround. Paul was easy to communicate with, and I would quickly recommend them to anyone. Great job, Capital Asphalt!
Bill J: Capital asphalt, Darren and his team did a great job of installing a brand new asphalt driveway. Service time and cost were great .I would highly recommend them.
Kim Sawyer: They have the best product for the best price done by excellent well experienced people.Everyone there works hard to provide the best job that they can do!
jveld11: I would leave a no-star review if I could. The reason for the negative review was the complete lack of communication from the company during the project on our rental property.we were given no notification of when they would be doing the project and they just showed up without giving us the opportunity to alert our tenants to have vehicles moved, etc.were also told that once completed, we would be allowed to review the work to make sure we were absolutely satisfied before we made our payment. The company finally finished the work and I never heard from them again except to ask for payment. Our project was a small job to this company and it showed in the way we they communicated to us, by neglecting to communicate at all and even not responding when I did reach out to ask questions.I wish I hadn't used them for this project and will not use them again for any of our other rental properties in the future
