John Lucas: I Jack knifed a short single axle trailer and crunched the rear quarter. I had just had the truck rust proofed and undercoated and didn't want to have that re-done. I asked Austin if he thought they could just pull it out instead of replacing the whole box side. I was even willing to take less than perfect. I remember saying it's a truck, and it'll eventually get dings, scratches, and whatevers. I don't have a trained eye for this kind of thing, and I'm sure there is something wrong, but I certainly can't tell. I'm very happy and I highly recommend this shop. Plus they only had it 4 days!

They provided a fair estimate for repair and was timely getting the job done. The vehicle was returned to us in pristine condition. Here is the plot twist--Feldman Chevrolet would not correct a mistake they made on the vehicle and Driven graciously picked up the slack for them. Sean Cullen: We gave Driven our car on July 12, 2022 to do some body repairs for an insurance claim. They had to get some parts for it but got them in a reasonable amount of time. As of July 26 they had all the parts in that they needed to make the repairs. It is now 3 weeks plus one day since then and they have not even started painting it yet and are telling me that they "hope" to have it done by next Friday, the 26th of August. In my line of work when I hear that it usually means it's not going to get done in that time frame. They were unable to give me an explanation as to why the process is taking so long other than the usual "there's a lot of variables" line. I am not paying for this work because it's covered by insurance but it does not lessen the massive inconvenience that has been created by not having our car for what will probably turn out to be over 6 weeks. This is almost certainly the first and last Time that I will be using this establishment.Service:Painting

Had my car done in a week and I got a loaner no questions asked. Answered all my questions with no hesitation. Needed mechanical work done a few months ago and they were the first people I thought of to come to. Great price and super efficient. Other garages wanted $150+ just to run a diagnostic test, Barnum only around $80 and went towards the service itself. Great people. They were honest about it being ungodly expensive and gave me advice that if it didn’t bother me too much, I’d be better off driving it as is due to the high cost of parts. They also answered my questions and gave me advice on other problem areas with my car and exactly who to go to for each/how much I should spend on each. The focus was never on making a sale, but rather helping someone out! Definitely felt comfortable throughout the experience and walked away knowing where to come back in the future.

My door was looking brand new (and they even cleaned my floor mats!) And I could not be happier with the end product. Nichole Eller: I have been coming here for a number of years and have really appreciated everyone there. It’s a clean shop and everyone was very kind (until my past two experiences). Unfortunately, when I had an issue with a job they had done, they threw their hands up in the air and said they were a reputable business for however many years and they would never do a bad job and actually ended up blaming me for their mistake. Bruce is the kind of man who will continuously steamroll you in a conversation, will not hear you, doesn’t care, and just wants your money. I spent quite a bit of money for them to just turn on me and not fix the problem. I’m very disappointed and I know they won’t do anything to fix it—they’ve been adamant to tell me so. Hopefully no one else has to experience a mistake on their behalf. Also, lesson learned: take pictures of your vehicle on THEIR premises before and after you get a job done so they can’t try to gaslight you on the condition of your car. Good luck.Service:Painting

I've had several vehicles worked on here including a gold Mercedes AMG, blue Audi S4 fascia and a gold-green Subaru GT door and rust spots (winter car) fixed as well as an MPV sliding door replaced (after getting T-boned in Frandor) and the fixes were so good you really could not tell they had been done. The paint match is top notch and panels restored to exacting specs.The paint was matched perfectly for both fading and factory spray pattern.The staff is fantastic work work with too and they care about the cars and people.They are not the least priced around but to me it is worth it to no longer see dents, rust or issues.Highly recommended!

lauren phoenix: I have been a loyal customer to Cooper auto body for over six years. I own two Porsches and each of them have been in there twice for bodywork thanks to Michigan’s deer population. Never before have I experienced such a terrible customer service as I did today from Alfredo. I was told that there would be a 3% charge because I was using a card which amounted to a significant amount of money so I decided to just go to the bank and get cash. I’m not sure why a business of this magnitude would need to charge 3% on credit card purchases. Bank fees and credit card fees are cost of doing business and are tax deductible. I am a business owner myself and I do not charge people extra to use a credit card or debit card. I have spent TENS OF THOUSANDS of dollars PLUS INSURANCE CLAIMS at this facility. I decided to go to the bank to get the cash because 3% of 5000 was substantial. During rush-hour in Lansing I thought I might not make it back by closing time and when I called them to check they informed me that they were closing at 5:30 and that I would have to keep my rental car until Monday if I didn’t make it back by then. It’s really sad because they do good body work but due to this terrible customer service, I will not be back nor recommend them ever. Your front service people are the face of your business. Get some new ones or it won’t matter how good your body work is.Service:Body Trim
Taylor Bennett: I brought my car in to get fixed from hitting a deer. They did the estimate and that went great but then since I'm needed a rental I had to wait 2 months before I could bring my car in. During that wait time, several of my dashboard lights came on. So I called my adjuster to add it to my claim. He said he would take care of it and let the body shop know. I bring it in and they acted like they knew nothing but I told them about the lights and they said okay we'll take a look and fix it and order parts of needed. A week later I go to get my car, I pay for it and go outside to start my car to go home and the lights are still on. They take it back to the tech that worked on it and they come back and say they can't do anything by about the lights because they can't determine if the lights on the dashboard are from the accident so I need to take it to a dealership....long story short it's my word against theirs and they refuse to fix it when they said they would. I chose this place to begin with because they had fantastic customer service before and they had affordable rental cars it was an hour 15 minutes out of my way but I guess I learned my lesson. But I won't ever be going here again because of their lies and not wanting to fix something they promised to fix.
gary smith: I stopped in to the Cooper Body Shop for the first time yesterday to get an estimate on some minor damage on my car bumper. I first noticed the pleasant smell of freshly popped popcorn in the office in addition to the overall cleanliness of the entire building. My experience just got even better after meeting Austin their employee! He was extremely pleasant and professional! Cat J: BEWARE!!!!This shop is FRAUDULENT. We had a vehicle in for repairs. For 2 months, they kept giving us wrong times when the vehicle would be completed and ready. And to make matters worse, we paid for BRAND NEW tires and glass clean up. When we collected the vehicle, we noticed that they put on USED, off brand tires yet the insurance paperwork stated Brand NEW TIRES. When we entered in the vehicle, there was glass shards all over the passenger side.Now they aren't returning our phone calls.We will be pursuing this legallyBEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! Very suspicious and fraudulent behavior.Insurance companies also beware of partnering with this company.

Lindsey Kerr: This is a locally owned and operated establishment . Rick was great to work with honest and fair. He kept me up to date on the progress and status of my vehicle. He worked directly with my insurance company to get everything taken care of that he could on his end. He repaired my vehicle as quickly as possible. I am satisfied with my service and would definitely recommend to anybody in need of body and engine repair, as most of the shops I contacted could only do body repair or engine repair not both. In addition he got my vehicle in and out of the shop within a couple weeks, compared to waiting at least a couple of months to have my repares even started.

Boppie: Well, it was recommended by a few people to go to Tripp's. I had communication issues right out of the gate, couldn't get a call back to confirm drop off date, even after calling twice the day before the tentative start date. Someone upgraded my Enterprise rental without my permission, after I specifically asked for the cheapest car they have. It wasn't Enterprise either, they worked with me on everything satisfactorily. The repair time was par for the supply chain constraints, so no complaints there. When I picked up my car the drivers side headlight didn't work, so they replaced it. Then the driver side headlamp lens is badly scarred from wheeling out the hood after painting...the damaged side was the passenger side. I didnt go back in and let them know, I was done. Headlights were also not adjusted, one shining higher than the other. No Quality Control apparently. Maybe mine was an isolated incident, I don't know. DisappointedFound another item this morning. The passenger side door has a crinkled up piece of trim they never fixed! It crim kea and creeks when I open the door. These guys are awful! Damn!

Benny B: I took my BMW X5 3.0i E53 to them to straighten a corner after I got hit. They did a great job pulling one corner of it so I could put a new fender on. Cathy Perritt: My daughter took her SUV in for bodywork. Her floor mats, some other things that she had left in the car were stolen. The job was not finished and she had to take time to take it back to get finished. I will make sure everyone I know to not take it there it was very poor customer service.

Mandolinman58: I could have sworn I did a review. Here we go (again lol). I appreciate this place on several levels. First the repair work they did is top notch. Nasty fender scratch with busted front end piece. Second this is a family run shop. The Tripps were professional, competent, handled my insurance co well, got my rental coordinated, etc, etc. Also I'm pleased to have them in this particular part of town that is a bit run down. Tripps took over a vacant building, total rehab and interior redo. Really classes up the neighborhood. On top of all this, I got my 25% discount of my deductable. Great business. Great people. I recommend them.
