Chou Her: First time here and Rachel did a great job on my haircut. It's hard to find good barber shops these days but this will definitely be the place to go whenever I need a haircut from now on.
Ryan Wilson: Absolute 5-star. Brian is a good man and the rapport is great. I signed up for a $50 beard&cut and was charged $30 because he felt that was a more honest mark for the “little” amount of work he did on me. Well, a little goes a long way; that is service you do not see everyday and is almost certainly why this establishment is as prestigious as it is. I often cut my own hair since I have a trimmer but I’m going on vacation tomorrow and wanted the touch of a professional. Brian’s $30 work is as competitive with any other $50 cut I’ve paid for at other places. Will he offer you a discounted price? Maybe not, but you’re guaranteed honesty and integrity from him. The next time I have someone else besides myself cut my hair, it will be Brian. I have moved on from my 15+ cuts in the past that I received at Grand River Barber Co., for good

Anastasia 444: husband came home looking rough. beard trim looks great, his hair is awful. neckline so high up, and is parallel with his earlobes and his hairline is so unnaturally squared out. blending is nonexistent on this fade. looks like it was just shaved around the top of his head blindly. i may not be a barber, and i love my husband, but i’m cringing for him. this isn’t the first time we’ve had an issue with the neckline being too high, but a first for the lack of blending. maybe we’ll have better luck at a Great Clips

chapomon: This place is a cozy feel with the barbershop décor. I love the haircut and the trimming down of my beard to a goatee was excellent. My only real complaint about my first time experience there is that the barber who performed my groom seemed rather distant and disinterested in being engaged with. He was swift and efficient at his job but it felt more about get it over with than any convenience on my part. Given that it costed $52 dollars for the experience on top of having to make an appointment, I was expecting a much more mellow and relaxed experience to really get pampered, especially if I'm booking an hour session. My whole cut only took like 20 minutes.I feel like I could have gotten a better experience at a better rate with the same level of grooming elsewhere. This was my first time that I've gone to an actual barber in over 20 years (only because I was cutting my own hair or was having my daughter cut it). Alex cut my hair and trimmed my beard that day. Michael Carter: This was my first time at this barbershop. While I understand and appreciate the “old school-ness” of it, there was hair ALL over the floor and no effort in cleaning it up, you just had to walk in it. Mary cut my hair and she constantly asked me whether I thought masks worked or if the COVID vaccines work. It made awkward conversation. It wasn’t until I walked out that I saw she buzzed off a good 2” of my beard below my sideburn on one side (almost down to the skin) and now it looks awkward so I have to shave the rest off to match. The two gentlemen working made misogynistic comments to Mary about her MSU shirt and how she needed to get white sneakers and white pom poms to match. The comments were rude and unnecessary. The last issue I had was that they only take cash (no card, Venmo, etc) so although they were kind and still did the haircut, I did have to leave and return later with cash since I didn’t have any on me. Just a little inconvenient. I truly wish my experience had been better considering all the great 5-star reviews posted here, but I walked away disappointed and won’t be returning.

Joshua Robinson: I have been very particular about how my hair is cut and all I can say is I never have an issue when Sky cuts and styles my hair. She is great at her job and is very easy to talk to. Sky is dedicated in making sure you get the haircut you desire. It is because of her work ethic, knowledge, friendliness and how well she is at her job that keeps me coming back to the second chair from the door. The shop also has products for my hair and they also go above a regular haircut with a straight razor to the nape of the neck.
