If you have a bug / pest problem - stop looking for anyone else and contact them right away!For more information, read below:--------------------------------------I initially contacted Ben because I had a yellowjacket problem - where they decided to make a home above my porch. I went with Stewart Pest Solutions because I was desperate to get rid of them ASAP. I wasn't sure what bug place would be best, so I took a chance on them. Ben was very communicative about his availability and showed up right on time. He went straight to work carefully disassembling the paneling. While working he said he was taking a "scorched earth" approach to killing them to make absolutely sure they would all die. He said he could have used some basic chemicals to do the job, but he chose those chemicals to make absolutely sure they would all be gone. I mention this because it shows how much he cares about the job, and making sure it gets done right the first time. (There were little to no bees by the next day as they flew in/out)After he was finished we started walking around my property to see if there were any other problems. He actually found ANOTHER yellow jacket nest on the 2nd story and he was able to take care of that as well. (It was tucked away in a corner I wouldn't have thought to look, and apparently I'm blind).While walking the property he talked about ways to help block bugs / critters from entering the house (such as trimming back trees), and you could tell he was very friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about his job.He also mentioned that a lot of his customers have him come out once a quarter to spray around the house. I told him that "I use the home defense stuff you get from the big box stores" and he politely told me that the stuff works.....kind of.....but not really. From what he's told me that stuff only works for about a month, and doesn't do that great of a job. I'll be honest and say I was a little reluctant to have him spray around the house at first (wasn't planning on spending more money), but I'm very glad he did - especially since my son had recently been bit by a spider. About a month later I was thinking to myself ".....ya know what, I haven't noticed anywhere NEAR as many spiders as before. As a matter of fact I haven't seen many bugs at all" (I work from home in a basement). It was then that I realized that the stuff was working as advertised. We used to have the usual amount of bugs that make their way into the house: spiders, ants, earwigs, etc. Now if we see a spider in the house it's a rarity. "Ack there's a spider how did that get in?" instead of "Oh boy another spider".So that leads us up to today. I have Ben come out once a quarter and spray around the house. While he's out we look over the property to see if there's any new bugs, or places to block critters from getting in. I actually have seen no signs of mice since this company started doing mouse control for me. Danny said he saw barely a nibble on just one of the bait stations, and that could have been from quite a while ago. As usual, Danny was a great communicator, arrived right when he said he would, and was all done in a relatively short time. I have been very happy with this company.Danny and his assistant, Kevin, are professional and knowledgeable about mouse and pest control. They put mouse bait stations around the house, plus I requested a perimeter pest control spray. They also suggested adding rodent spray foam to fill a small opening on porch, and to add a flange to a door on the porch. They have come back twice since the initial visit, and are good about texting me to give me a heads up about their arrival time. They came out and placed poison stations inside but they didn't even do an inspection of the inside or outside. They should have put stations on the outside too. We ended up calling another company who was way more thorough and placed stations on the outside as well.I know to rid of mice can be a lengthy process their service should cover multiple trips out, instead it only covers the initial trip and 1 follow up. For them to come out again, we would have to pay another 200 something dollars, which is ridiculous for them just to check on things and maybe put down more stations.I would not recommend for rodent control. I've seen a few stink bugs and boxelders inside, but when we had a couple of nice days, I started seeing wasps flying around the eaves in multiple places. That's when I looked online and found McDonnell Pest Control. They were able to come out within a couple days and sprayed the exterior to prevent the bugs I saw inside. Then they treated to eliminate the wasps. Before he could finish, it started raining so he couldn't complete the job that day. I got a call the next morning to schedule the tech to come out that afternoon to complete the job. They didn't charge me until the job was done. The tech was very friendly and knowledgeable, on- time and explained what he did. I found their prices to be very reasonable also. Danny and Kevin assessed the yellow jacket nest under my garden shed and determined it was quite large.
