Heath Lowry: My wife and I had the seafood gumbo and shrimp po boy, respectively. The food was flavorful and the staff was attentive. We have been meaning to try it for some time and we will be returning again.
Courtney Fung: This is my favorite place to get Pho in the Lansing area. The pho is usually filling on its own, but I can't help myself and get the begneits donuts for dessert too. Staff is always super friendly.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Kou M Yang: Great food and great staff! Will definitely visit again when I'm in the area.
Chris For Christ: Updating, but leaving my original impression:Called to order lunch, and the service was very different this time around, very short and unfriendly. Also, the prices on the menu have nearly doubled. The fish po boy which states $9 is now about $15. When I mentioned it the staff member chuckled and said "I wouldn't go by that". I get price increases but that's obscene. Gonna find a different lunch spot now.Loved it. I never would have dreamed there'd be a Vietnamese/New Orleans fusion restaurant in Michigan. Absolutely worth the visit. My ONLY complaint is that the chicken and noodle bowl was a little slight. Not a lot of chicken, and not heavy on flavor. But I'll certainly be going back soon.Vegetarian options: You'll find a good and varied vegetarian selection, at least with the Vietnamese dishesParking: It's in a strip with other businesses, so as long as there's no big events you'll be fine.Wheelchair accessibility: Other than the slight curb outside, I didn't see any steps into the restaurant.
Brandi Lamé Sureda: Excellent food and service. Definitely coming back.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Beignets with Raspberry Sauce, Beignet, Pho Nola Pho DAC Biet …More

Tabitha Evans: First time trying. The food was incredible and fresh. Service was quick and our waitress was amazing. We will be returning. If you have never tried before you will be left speechless from stuffing your face.
kenji steakster: Been here multiple times thinking my previous experience was a fluke, but alas.. this place is a miss. They never ever have the bourbon dip, just take it off the menu at this point. Don't have the wings. Pork Bahn mi is legit atleast, but this is a very very small silver lining to the glaring issues in this restaurant. For example, the server who barely serves. She dropped off the food reaching over my empty water glass, and turned so fast I couldnt ask for a refill. Never asked how any of the food was. She just sits in the corner on her phone with the other staff. Had to flag her down to pay... Just be more attentive. I usually tip very well, but this server absolutely didn't care what so ever. I work hard for my money, not giving it to someone who doesn't work hard for theirs.
Megan Pham: I’m visiting from Los Angeles, and was happy to find this place! I’m Vietnamese and grew up eating my grandma’s pho. Got a bowl of pho here and it had full-bodied flavor and was authentic. Also had the gumbo which had a lot of flavor. Both were nicely sized portions.
Cindy Pham: Super unprofessional. Yrsa had no idea how to help me but called me back and forth 3x about my order being wrong the night prior. Ordered a pho nola and got the wrong order. She kept making excuses of why I got the wrong order (ran out of tendon but nobody told me at any point), the pho should have had brisket (basically I’m lying?), or that the manager was out of town, only trying to offer me 25% off my next order during the 3 phone calls. I just wanted what I paid for but I got to apparently spend more money to do that. Would not recommend. Staff needs to be properly trained for customer service instead of pushing blame or acting like there’s nothing they can do.
Kim H: The Pho is the best!
B Gz: Good food. Service went down hill a little.

EnVie: what do users think?
Linda Halgunseth: Delicious food and cocktails, above and beyond service, and the atmosphere is beautiful. Highly recommend!!
Adrienne Adams: I had the pickle burger on a gluten-free bun and fries. The burger was well cooked and flavorful. The fries were expertly seasoned. The restaurant interior was beautiful decorated and the sever was friendly, attentive, and knowledge.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Trevor Benoit: A must-visit bistro in Downtown Lansing for foodies and cocktail lovers alike. The seasonal menu always offers a variety of delectable dishes that are beautifully crafted with fresh ingredients. The food always pairs well with their amazing artisan cocktails or something from their expertly curated wine list. Whether you're in the mood for a classic martini or something more adventurous, their mixologists have got you covered. The atmosphere is perfect and the art is superb, and the service is always on point. This is the perfect spot for a romantic date or a night out with friends. Overall, EnVie is a true gem that shouldn't be missed!

kalah royer: Visited here for the first time recently as an anniversary dinner. Everything was delicious! I was very happy with the portion sizes for the price. My husband had the crab pasta which was fabulous. The ricotta and goat cheese dip was a great starter, and my whitefish dish was super flavorful. Ended with the peanut butter chocolate cake. Not a bad bite to be had! The vibe was very modern and clean, overall a great night and we will hopefully be back!
Rioux. C: The service, drinks, and food were spectacular. 10/10 would recommend & visit again, without hesitation!
E P: Website states this is a French bistro, where is the French inspiration in the decor or the French food? Food is expensive. A smash burger should not cost $18.00. The restaurant/customers have a pretentious vibe, this restaurant seems more fitting for Okemos than downtown. Drinks are well made. Two sandwiches and 2 drinks shouldn’t be almost $90. Overall this was a very basic and disappointing meal. If you are looking for an upscale experience go to bridge st. Social.
Lori Zoglio: Katie (our hostess) was super friendly and very knowledgeable, all while being busy with reservations and such. Travis (our bartender) was also attentive and knowledgeable. Their recommendations were spot on, and the food was excellent!! I recommend this place to all! We will be back!
kenji steakster: What a delicious experience! Im disappointed I didn't go sooner. The place is small, but worth it! Our server Lindsay was so nice, attentive, and great with her recommendations. The pork belly with blue cheese polenta. The blue cheese was not overwhelming what so ever. And I don't like blue cheese. Definitely a must visit if you want to impress someone! And ask for Lindsay!!
Robert Byrnes: Great downtown restaurant, so glad we gave it a try. We will definitely be back. Very busy, even on Tuesday night.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Batter Up Bistro: what do users think?
Beth: They don’t maintain/take care of the rain garden they supposedly “sponsor” right outside their own establishment! It seems like they would want to keep Lansing looking nice, rather than contributing a place for people to dump their takeaway containers!
Google User: My god lower your prices and you will have more customers. $20 for a chicken sandwich is wayyyyyy to much. You can still make a profit by selling sandwiches for $8 which is still high but reasonable.
S. Horesi: We stumbled upon Batter Up Bistro after a google search looking for a new restaurant for dinner and WOW, this place is amazing! From the moment we walked in, we knew we found a hidden gem. The decor is beautiful and comfortable (check out the gorgeous sink in the bathroom). Our meal was excellent - beautiful presentation and delicious. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner/chef Cari and her husband Jerry. Their love story is inspiring and their restaurant reflects their love and devotion. We can't wait to go back! They serve breakfast/brunch/lunch/dinner - not many post-Covid restaurants offer that. Do yourself a favor and support this incredible place - your senses will be so satisfied you did!
Trevor Benoit: Batter Up Bistro is a hidden gem of a restaurant that serves up some of the most delicious food in town. From their signature brunch to their mouth-watering chicken salad and wonderful pasties, everything on the menu is prepared with the utmost care and attention to detail. The cozy ambiance and friendly staff only add to the experience. I highly recommend giving Batter Up Bistro a try!
Malcolm Price: The food was cooked skillfully but to be honest a bit too salty. The atmosphere was homey, like a pub with motley tables, that you could choose to sit at. The menu is simple and separate between day parts. The service was good and attentive. It felt like a special place.Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Alex Young: Bed Head BLT was delicious.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Breakfast blt, blt Breakfast Sandwiches …More
Dr. Chris Sovey (HealthyConsumer): All around excellent. Cari created a highly enjoyable experience. Service was prompt and food was exceptional. I had the sweet potato gnocchi, while my dad had the beef tenderloin. Highly recommended on all accounts.
Wyatt Steel: Severice sucked, food was great bit service sucked
Liam Steel: Service sucked. We didnt have silverware till 10 to 15 minutes after we got food.
Beth Ronning: Great service. Awesome food.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Kitty Rothwell: I have been waiting for Batter Up Bistro to open after Covid. They are open now and I'm so happy they did. I met some friends for lunch; it was the first time they had been there. We all ended up with the chicken salad sandwich and we all loved it. Tracie was able to have the blue cheese swapped out for feta. The staff was very accommodating. I had the French onion soup with half a sandwich. The half looked like a whole sandwich and we all had leftovers to take home. I grabbed a slice of the zesty lemon 🍋 cake and a slice of blueberry cheesecake to take home. Both are delicious.I highly recommend Batter Up Bistro. They now serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner and serve alcohol. I will definitely return!Vegetarian options: They have a veggie sandwich that is yummy. For dinner they have a couple vegetarian appetizers and butternut squash ravioli entree.Parking: There were lots of spaces to park on a Thursday at noon.
Joola Oyeleye: Service was spectacular! Our waiter was very attentive and responsive. Our meals were out super fast!Food: 3/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
LeeAnn Miller: We had the most delicious meal we have ever had. Wonderful, kind service. Nice music playing. All in all a wonderful time. This is my new favorite place.
Tom Beachnau: 1st time little on the pricey side chicken sandwich large and tasty potatoe soup to die for . Waitress good until i ask for additional napkins she brought me over 3 bar napkins haha ? other than that I would return for the soup for sure seems like a very limited menu
Emily Trudgeon: Did not feel welcomed felt everyone was self centered and didn't get checked on while eating so see if I was doing okay. Two people especially were very fake in person I felt deeply. Very over priced for the amount of food that is made for the meals.
Rebecca Sabin: Smoked drink, atmosphere, and service was outstanding!! Highly recommend.
Karen Barrow: Sun shines through the front windows, Tony Bennett's voice, smooth and low wraps the room. Young server approaches and coffee appears. An immediate sense of understated sophistication allows your eye to catch details of comfortable ease. An invitation to settle in. My first visit here for lunch a fews days ago insured my second visit for breakfast late this morning. The other day was French Onion soup, a recipe I'd like to get hands on! Savory, a depth of flavor I've not found elsewhere yet. This followed by superb chicken salad, cranberries and bits of candied pecans add just a slight sweetness to this savory delight, all served on a bread almost more perfect than the chicken salad, makes it worth more than the price you'll pay. And willingly, pay many times in the future! The sommelier filled my request for a mimosa (minus the orange juice). Yay!Well done Chef, Proprietor Cari Jodloski!Come to this place. Again and again.
Tanya Caswell: Had a wonderful dinner....our waitress was Amber and she make a great recommendation for dinner and Chris the bartender was fabulous with drink ideas and information on wine
Sarah Yonkman: Delic food. Melts in your mouth. Fast service
Angela Lauer: Amazing service, atmosphere was warm and friendly. Their tenderloin was delicious, great flavor, melts in your mouth. I highly recommend this place to dine at.

Hyerin Seo: Nice atmosphere and mostly friendly staff, but sometimes they are terribly slow. It took exactly 25 min just to get an americano without any add-ins!Service: 1/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Erick Sizemore: I would not recommend going to this location. Always super slow and staff is kinda of rude. 7pm waited 20 minutes to a Mango Dragon Fruit Refresher with extra ice and blended. Nothing special and they still made it wrong. I dread coming to this location.
Robert Lawrence: Nice atmosphere and goodish service. The workers are great. It is constantly out of stock. I'm not sure if this is a location issue or a Starbucks issue. But I shouldn't be able to order Starbucks brand flavors and whatnot online, and it constantly be "out of stock" at the Starbucks....... it makes no sense and is kind of annoyingFood: 3/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More

Brooke Forbes: Idk if they got a new store manager. I see her often at the window the first time I saw her she was snippy because they didn’t have a product I wanted. So I ordered ahead of time so because she had to do a refund it was my fault the time for speed of service was my fault. Then I go again and they aren’t open at their posted hours. Everything was closed, ahead ordering, drive thru, lobby, an hour after when they were suppose to open, mind you there was 6 employee cars in the parking lot! Why have posted hours if you don’t use them.
Island Ewert: Good atmosphere, drive thru is always hit or miss as it is a happening spot. Service is always delightful.
Athena DeNio: This is my favorite location in the Lansing area. It’s usually busy but the service is quick and friendly. It’s a happy, cozy atmosphere. Love!

L K: I have been here at least 4 times, and most of the time the experience has been ok. I had one great experience in the early morning hours when I got an awesome coffee, was served by a cheerful and conversational barista, and the wait wasn't abnormally long. Once in the afternoon, I went inside to order and I had to wait more than 30 minutes even though they were not busy. Meanwhile, the barista guy was just scrolling on his phone instead of making drinks. Some positive things I appreciate are that they have board games available and they also put out bags of grounds you can take for your garden. Overall, this Starbucks has a nice atmosphere but if you want the best experience, come in the early morning when the good baristas seem to be in. (Also, be sure to ask the "coffee masters" [black apron employees] what their favorite drink is, they have really good suggestions!)Parking: The parking is horrendous! There is very little space, and trying to exit onto the main road is tricky.Dietary restrictions: They have many nondairy options.
Lansing Rehabilitation: Not sure if I caught the two young ladies as well as the manager on a bad day, but lets just say the lack of interest in their job was evident. Sad thing was I got the wrong drink, when I questioned the young lady whom made it she shook her head, and continued on w/ the next order.
Sarah Grossbauer: I don't typically sit in coffee shops, so I don't really know if I should comment on the atmosphere. But if you twisted my arm, I'd say it seems like a comfortable place.Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
Matthew Harrell: Food: 3/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 3/5More
Ben Manns: Decent coffee, but not worth the price personally. Anyways, they usually do a good job at this location, but be prepared to wait 15 minutes. The line gets long and service gets a little slow at times.

Black Cat Bistro: what do users think?
Lew Dotterer: Sunday brunch. Not a lot of options but good choices. I got the breakfast burrito. I would have liked salsa with this. Not an option. Had a good flavor. I wanted it a little spicier.Omelettes were huge. No toast. Guess people don't need/want toast. French toast had a great flavor. Chocolate pancake was huge!Walking into the restaurant, there were smells that were not creating a positive experience. We would come back.

Angela Christine: Went her for brunch menu. It was totally different.Check menu first
Brad Neideck: Went for my son's bday. Let's just say I recommend you avoid this place. Took forever to get the food and then when it did arrive it was tasteless, spaghetti was over-cooked, vegetables were cool, chicken was pink (returned it and they discounted it 50% since my guest hesitantly ate around the chicken, what?), and salmon was just in the edge of being done. The place wasn't even busy as we were there during spring break. I liked that our waitress was doing shots behind the bar. I'm pretty sure the chef/cook was too. And then the 3 front house staff (2 wait staff and manager) went over near the front door where the customers couldn't see them, were there a few minutes, and then all popped out at the same time-- what was that?? Buyer beware. I'm pretty sure there's many better options in EL.
Suzette Wasielewski: No sandwiches after 4pm, dinner after 4p only and it's expensive for the quality. Food was cold. Steak was over cooked and dry. Presentation not appealing. Not a fan of garlic and I believe all the hot veggie sides had minced garlic. Wouldn't visit again given the $20+ entrees and quality. Interior of restaurant very cheaply done. Could use a coat of paint! Service was good. Attentive waiter. No way to individualize the check so one person had to pay the entire $300+ check and then receive venmo from the others.Parking: Parking ramp directly across the street.

Simon Alam: Nothing special here
Bjoern Hamberger: Small but very diverse menu, with all protein including vegetarian options. Zippy, attentive service, all in a modern and clean design. Portions were again too big to allow for dessert, but we had some of the shareables before. Good beers on tap, yay! Planning to come back. This place is just hidden between student pubs and could see more traffic. Yet, it was busy, which is an excellent sign. Great value for the quality. No changes for the visit today. Yay!
Sarah Vandenboss: Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5More
Brit K: Was super excited to try this place out, as a client highly recommended it. They were out of a lot of items, including rice which I thought was notably weird. We ordered the mushroom bruschetta as I love mushrooms! It was not good at all, I didn’t want to swallow the first bite. Whatever they put on the top tasted like it was fresh out of a can. My husband ate it because he was starving. I got the spinach salad and added chicken. The chicken tasted rubbery like they heated it in a microwave from something pre made. I ended up replacing it with steak and the salad was decent. Husband got the steak with mashed potatoes. He’s a picky steak eater, gave it a 4/10.Didn’t have any cocktails, maybe that saves this place. I wouldn’t come here for dinner again unfortunately.
