John Beres: I've had some water seeping into locations inside the home all inline with the chimney stack. I had multiple masons, multiple roofers all come out providing their best guess. From tuckpointing a few areas, redoing the flashing, to bringing in a scissor lift for $2k or rebuilding the entire stack. Jesse from A-1 was the only actual person to go on my roof... He instantly found the issue (fairly trivial) and told me who I'd need to contact. The professionalism and no BS approach Jessica and Jesse provide was enough to ensure I go to them for any/all future brick & mortar work. Thank-you again!
Kyle and Sarah Schian: Highly recommend A-1 Chimney & Masonry Repair for all your fireplace/wood stove maintenance! We have a wood stove in our log cabin that was in major need of a sweeping and a fine ash was even starting to escape out of the flue somehow. A-1 came out just to provide a quote, but it was so badly clogged, that they knocked out the job same day. It's tough coming across reliable contractors nowadays, and I am very happy with the results and quick turnaround. Will definitely be coming back to them for annual sweepings from here on out. Thanks again!!
Ian: They are extremely unreliable. I had to reach out the them multiple times to get stuff setup. They scheduled 2 times to come and work and didn't show up either time. Nore did they notify me things were canceled.
dean hartley: Had a few scheduling issues but all's well that ends well. On October 6th, Jessie and his helper were quick to get things started to repair my chimney. Their efficiency was well appreciated. From start to finish they were professional. Thank you for a job well done!

Scott Scotson: Initially there was a scheduling issue which was due to a typo, then another job took longer than expected... but everything got done and there were no surprises. Nothing is going to always go as planned and you just roll with it. The important thing is the job gets done and A1 did a great job.
principalpony: Glad to finally get our brick repair done. Called 2 others, but one never did the estimate and the other scheduled, then rescheduled, then never showed up or called. We did have to do a reschedule with Jesse, but he showed and got the work done with no problems. Jesse checked all of our brick work to see if we had any other problems and found a second crack. Both are done now and look great. Very friendly and personable and gets the job done!

Jesse discovered an unknown issue with one chimney and advised her immediately and included that repair in the job. Finished in 1 day. Would highly recommend A-1 Chimney & Masonry!!
R Soliz: Called in for estimate on chimney repair, no one ever came as promised. Called to see why, no response and no consideration that you confirm date and time, I took time off from work just to wait for someone who never showed, and can’t even call ahead or at least call to reschedule.
John Dillinger: Will ask for part payment when he starts then will do a few things then will tell you he has an emergency or something else to go do then won’t see him for a few days or a week or so type of an excuse then he might pull the same trick again after he came back and started on a few more things also will try to re-quote you and say there are some more things going on when there isn’t I wouldn’t call back
Libby Corbett: Right now my review is one star. I called to confirm my appointment for repair today with no response. I was told they would be here around 10 and by 11 I called again with no response again. Then when I finally did reach someone, they were absolutely clueless about my scheduled repair. The individual said they would have to call a supervisor to get in contact with me and still no response. Took the day off and am just super frustrated with their non-response

Steve Hines: James and his crew did an outstanding job on our detached garage. He first assisted our builder with the block wall foundation. He later came back and did a full brick veneer that included a number of extras to perfectly match our existing house - quioned corners, decorative details around windows and vents, etc.At every stage, James kept us well updated and performed all the work as agreed and with excellent quality.
carol lynne Hansen: I called and left a message two weeks ago to see if someone could come out and give me an estimate to fix my porch. No one returned my call. I called this past Monday and made an appointment with James to come out on Tuesday at 3:00. I waited two hours, no phone call or text, nothing. I called yesterday and left a message about no one showing up and received a text from James saying he would come today at 4:00. He was a no show with no calls or text again. At 5:00 I left a phone text telling him I was no longer needed his services. I understanding it’s a busy time of year but this is just down right disrespectful...
Lewis Hanft: Well I called and discussed the project with James, he told me how unlike the other comapines he was a professional who would look at the job for me and get me an idea of price asap. Well days came and went. Little communication that I initiated in between and then followed by much of the same. Sent over several messages to which no reply came. I guess it's hard to find a Mason who will actually communicate or keep their word around here, ill keep calling around.
Tim Lydon: Their price to repair my crumbling chimney was the lowest bid I got, and they did a great job. Very professional, highly recommended.

Andrew Ostema: This place drags their men through the dirt and all there equipment is ancient garbage. Zero stars!
Deltadigs: I called three times requesting someone to call me back because I had a possible job but I needed an estimate first. No return calls were ever given. No attempt to notify me about making an appointment later in the week or month. Totally upset with their lack of customer response. To run a business and not care about the customers request gives me an idea of the type of care I would be given if they were to actually get the job.
