Cynthia Gonzáles: Dean Motor Coach bus 992 May 10, 11,12 2017 was the worst bus driver. We drove in circles like none of the drivers knew where where we were supposed to go. We passed our hotel 3 times, 3 times we drove in circles. It only got worse from there. For those 2 days he was ALWAYS LATE OR NEVER SHOWED UP! We stood in the rain outside for an hour soaking wet with a group of 8th graders on their class trip in Washington D.C. (The rest of our group on bus 1 and 2) we able to go to the scheduled destination. The following day we just NEVER GOT PICKED UP from a scheduled event. So our kids on bus 3 had to walk to their next destination (while bus 1 and 2) rode to our next destination. Did I mention it was RAINING FOR THE SECOND DAY? The driver NEVER says hello or has even apologized to any of us. The kids on bus 3 had to cut seeing something short or eliminate all together due to the the time it took to walk because the driver wasn't there. I hope these kids advocate to their parents and parents reach out to your school. These families deserves some money back for what we paid for. We sure did not get what we paid for by using this Dean's Motor Coach company. Don't use this company or request this driver Nate.
Peter Dederich: Didn't actually take a tour. Pulled into motel to unload and bus pulled up behind us blocking our way out. When unloaded, asked bus driver if he could pull ahead about 10 feet to let us out. He refused simply stating that he has a group to pick up and that he had given us a minute to unload before he pulled up.

Jeremy Sweet: Apparently Dean Transportation cannot provide the services Lansing Public School and therefore we pay for. Constantly not arriving to pick up or take home my child with no notice, which is a step down from the less than 2 hour notice I was getting before. They claim this is the school's fault but the school was able to contact us to pick up our child when no one arrive to pick her up. I was told hopefully next year this will be fixed. Difficult to plan for things we don't know are happening and it's not fair for the 7 year old who's bus just doesn't show more than twice a week, 4 times so far this week, and it's not even Friday yet.
Linda browers: Dean Transportation is a great place to work. The staff,drivers, from the front office to the back of the house are warm and caring. Their precious passengers couldn't be in safer hands. The training you receive there is the best and second to none.
Crystal: Terrible transportation company.!!! This morning my son stood outside for an entire hour before they sent an automated phone call saying the bus driver was running 20 mins late.! Let’s try an hour. Then the substitute drivers are rude to the kids, a lot goes on that shouldn’t I believe.! If you apply for a job transporting children, make sure you’re actually going to like your job. Dean transportation has a lot of work to do.
Ricardo Paredes Cañedo: Terrible experience riding with them. I was transported by Dean from Garden City Hospital and it was the worst. The vehicle was an older Caravan with over 300,000 miles. It was on the verge of breaking down. The driver was struggling to get the vehicle started. From what I could see the temp gauge was edging near the hot side. The engine ran very poorly and the vehicle squeaked, rattled and shook violently over bumps. The A/C barely worked as well. I did not feel safe be transported in this vehicle. It's terrible that they would transport people in unsafe conditions. Shame on Dean for putting people in run down unsafe vehicles.

My sons wheelchair has been broken 5 times by this bus driver we've complained a hundred times about yet nobody will do anything! Now I have x-rays and a cast on my hand from this same driver who's screamed and had his fingers in my face three times now!

DEAN Transportation picks the kids up for school then text or automated call saying there is no bus to bring them back home. My baby has waited 30 min for a bus that never came and no call was give I had to call. Recently being in a car accident and having no vehicle my kids have missed several days of school and all we get is a we regret to inform u but a PUBLIC school bus is not coming.

Amelia Terrill: Would give zero starts if possible. I’ve only spoke to one person who wasn’t completely abrasive and rude. My child is left without transportation from school even though she’s rode the bus every single year. This is causing me to have to leave half way through my work shift EVERY day due to a system error that nobody felt the need to notify parents of knowing it was and still is an issue. I’m losing a ton of work hours and therefore money. I did the form on time and when prompted so why am I getting the run around for an error that was NOT mine. Very disappointed and frustrated in the service, communication and how unimportant this seems to be to Dean as a whole. If I had ANY other option I would do that instead of dean.

Not to mention appalling how careless & unconcerned the management is about serious issues like bus drivers verbally abusing and literally driving passed children under 10 years old on multiple occasions making it to where they miss school. They need to be a garbage truck company instead the way they pick trash for hire.

Briana Brewer: I am absolutely appalled right now after getting off the phone with Dean Transportation. So today my daughter had a very scary incident happen to her; she was walking home from our apartment office building which is about a 6 min walk. And she walked past a car that was trying to get her to come in the car. She was terrified and started screaming and ran the rest of the way home, locked the house door and called me. Her drop off is at about 3:40-3:45 so she usually gets how at about 3:48-3:53ish. I am usually home before 4:30, so my kid has to take the bus after school. So the way my complex is set up there two entrances from one street that both lead out to the exited street. The one street leads to the front office the second street, drives right past my street and onto the exited street. Literally the same exact distance and everything. Mind you my daughter is the ONLY student that is picked up and dropped off by this bus route. So when I finally talked with the router and told him what happened, he said there was literally nothing her could do help us and when I said “not even when it is concerning a child’s safety” he said “our only responsibility is getting the kids to school and to the designated bus stop after school and that it” which to an extent, I understand, however being that my daughter is the only kid on that bus route in our complex, your telling me you couldn’t make an exception to simply turn down the next entrance, to ensure my child’s safety by walking a shorter distant home, that absolutely DOES NOT affect the drivers route? I know SEVERAL other parents who have reached out to Dean and allowed the bus to drive a little closer to the child’s home, why couldn’t they do this for us? This whole thing is scary and beyond stressful and absolutely DISGUSTING on Dean Transportations end? What am I supposed to do, if I have to work?? Thanks for the cooperation! Not!

Alex Myers: This is a disgusting company. They've been leeching off the community for upwards of 70 years. School bussing should be a PUBLIC service, where every cent spent is recorded in a transparency report that is free to the public so we know where our tax money is going. A public service where we can vote people in and out, or vote for board members who can do so. Nothing involving schooling should be run by a for profit corporation. Every day our daughter is getting home around 5:20. Her school lets out at 3:50. They are so poorly staffed, so poorly managed and so incompetent, I refuse to believe that their control over our entire school district is the result of ANYTHING but lobbying local legislature and straight up corruption. This is what happens when you let corporations take over public services. All of that tax money, piped directly into some money grubbing CEO's pocket while the entirety of the district has high schoolers riding the CATA city buses, including my student, who is supposed to have individualized transportation per his IEP. This company is literally taking our money and FAILING OUR CHILDREN, then plastering their website with how great they are and how many awards they win. I can't express with words how bafflingly incompetent this companys services are.

Charlie Regent: The building is easy to find. It's clean the process was quick.
Leonard Burdek III: Bus has broken down two out of four trips I've taken with them, one causing me to lose a full day of vacation! They rebooked me on another bus and covered the cost of a motel but still, it ruined my trip.
Tommaso Randazzo: Rode with indian trails from East Lansing to Chicago. Exactly what i expected from a bus plus more! Free wifi on board (a little slow but what do you expect?), an outlet per seat, seat belts if you feel uncomfortable without one, and the nicest drivers. Highly recommend. The only downside was an annoying layover in Grand Rapids, but nothing to fuss about.
