John Bethell: I would give more stars if possible. I was advised to consult with SBDC to start my new business. Best advice I ever got! I attended a couple of their webinars (writing a business plan and marketing) and then made a consulting appointment. My advisor was Darryl Horton. He did an excellent job polishing up my business plan and providing the projections that the funding agencies need to provide startup funding. We sent the proposal over to a couple of financial institutions and true to his word they were very cooperative and soon my business, Stoic Industrial Coatings, LLC was launched! I couldn't have done it without Darryl and the resources of SBDC. If you have a dream, I advise you to contact the SBDC and follow their guidance.

Susan M: Aggressive membership canvassers who call over and over again. We have been members for years. I told her to send the membership form in the mail and we would pay as we normally do. She insisted on speaking to my husband, the principal, although I am also an officer. He rarely comes in to the office but she persisted by calling every day, sometimes multiple times per day, because she wanted an opportunity to ask for more $$$. After two weeks of truly annoying phone calls where she asked intrusive questions in an abrasive manner, I finally asked her to stop calling and remove us from her list. I feel like I've been abused by a telemarketer. She has wasted my time and my staff's time for two weeks. Don't call us again Michelle-ever.
Sonny Davis: Scam, first out of the mouth is a lie about the state not being able to pass a gas tax, they just passed one a couple years ago. don't waste your hard earned money or time, they say they are lookin gout for the small businesses but its sad that the small businesses in the state are not only plagued by the government with shutdown after shutdown but they have to be wary of scams like this as well.
Nancy Marr: NFIB Michigan is an excellent advocacy group for small businesses in our state. State Directors Charlie and Amanda monitor and champion legislation that protects small business interests so we can focus on growing our businesses. NFIB's motto is each business gets a vote in determining positions on issues. Join NFIB and your small business voice will be heard.
Holly Ziemba: I don't appreciate someone telling me. "I guess we will just let your business neighbors do the hard work for you." Because I didn't want to sign up for a membership. I appreciated the offer, but not after that comment. I get what your fighting for but no need for being rude when someone says no thank you.
