Jesus Saves: They don't e-file, everything requires paper or hand delivery. Took out my tax due a day early from checking account, even though I requested the next day on my tax form.

Dustin Johnson: I mean no one likes to pay taxes but they were more than understanding and the mistake they were willing to waive my late fee due to the misunderstanding that we had. The auditor that I had was more than happy to work with me on it.

Nakita m: Fairly friendly staff, calculated my past due taxes wrong and had to wait months for the 300 they owed me back and wouldnt answer my emails about it even though they said itd be 2 weeks. Now they've been sending past due letters to an address we've never even lived at (for a separate matter) and are threatening jail time even though they never delivered documentation to any address even lived at. Understaffed or not you cant arrest people who never got notice something was wrong.

Ray Terwilliger: Horrible treatment of Lansing taxpayers.. My wife made payment arrangements was on time with her payments for over a year until battling breast cancer. During chemo treatment she requested and was granted a break from her monthly payment for 2 months. 2 weeks after her agreed upon missed payment date she was threatened with a warrant for her arrest! We are currently looking to purchase a home and will NO way buy in Lansing... The Treasury department ought to be ashamed of themselves. Tyrants...

Joshua Metzer: Been given the run around on unpaid taxes for over 8 years now. No record of payments, I have all the records. No idea where charges come from. Makes up excuses that don't make any sense. Never will I live or work in the city of Lansing again.

Julie Keeler: Can’t even get a call back from these people, they send me a notice of need for more info for my taxes and then don’t even state what specific documents are accepted, and don’t answer their phones for me to ask. It’s lansing though, shouldn’t be surprised at the incompetence

Taylor Michalek: It has not been a good experience dealing with this place. They originally set up a payment plan for my husband’s 2013 taxes not being taken from his checks. He paid off the balance, got stopped by a cop & was informed he had a $2,000 warrant for tax evasion! So he calls and is told his 2013 taxes were indeed paid off..but he has a warrant for 2014’s taxes now! 2014 was never mentioned either on the phone talking to staff about his balance, payments, etc. and the only thing reflected in what was sent in the mail was 2013 taxes. They claimed they sent information in the mail for 2014, but nothing else was delivered or else it would have been paid. Of course he was just going to pay to have the warrant removed, that’s when he was told that they would only remove it if he paid the balance in full..no payment option now for a debt they failed to notify him about. So he agreed to pay in full, then they said it he was paying over the phone with a card, they charge an extra 3%. So he had to risk his freedom to drive to Lansing (with a warrant) to hand-deliver them money.Our government should take what they are owed, nothing extra. And if they put out a warrant against you (especially when they weirdly couldn’t get any documentation to our house) you should be given an opportunity to pay over the phone, without risking your freedom, at no extra cost! Absolutely ridiculous.
