They carry a beautifully curated selection of natural materials, many I had only seen online. It’s so nice to see a store focus on Indy sewing and embroidery patterns, quality fabrics and excellent customer service. Hands down my favorite place to visit in Lansing.

Laura Antonius: Seams is a wonderful store where it’s easy to spend a long time browsing. They have a great selection of high quality fabrics, embroidery supplies, sewing patterns for all ability levels, and some notions. It’s a small store so it can get crowded when there’s more than a few people. They offer classes periodically and the one that I took was really great - yes it’s a little pricey but you get hands on personal instruction from experienced teachers so definitely worth it.The service at Seams has been great every time I’ve been in. Staff is pleasant and helpful without being overbearing, they’re happy to let you browse away. When you do have questions you’ll find out that they are all extremely knowledgeable about their products and about sewing and textiles in general. 10/10 great place, will be back many more times.

Moeystar 232: Please don't go to Joann's, Michael's or Hobby Lobby for fashion fabrics. Support a local business and go here instead! Although their selection is a tad small, they carry beautiful, sustainable fabrics, notions, and patterns, all at a fair price. You're greeted INCREDIBLE customer service, and welcomed as a part of the local sewing community they're working to bolster. I absolutely love the fabric I purchased today and can't wait to go back!

The shop is well curated, and run by extremely knowledgeable and helpful staff. The owner is a true pillar of the community and gives back in too many ways to even count. We are truly lucky to have this store in our community!

This store has expert (but kindly) sewists on staff, a surprisingly broad collection of fabrics (especially for garment sewing), and great extras like embroidery kits, iron-on patches, indie patterns, and notions. They do have some higher-end, harder-to-find garment fabrics (like Merchant and Mills), but lots of affordable workhorses as well, for all kinds of projects. They also have "eco-conscious" options like organic cotton thread and estate-sale fabrics, and great remnants. Despite being a boutique in a high-rent area, they are not at all snobby, and are no more expensive than the big sewing chain store in the nearby strip mall. Queer-friendly. Shares some space with the equally-great yarn shop next door.

My order arrived a day early and in great shape. The fabric on both shirts was soft with nice bright coloring, and bright print.I ordered 2 style shirts, with the same design. Was contacted almost immediately by my rep to let me know they could refund a portion of my cost due to the same design being on both shirts. Was super awesome to get an unexpected, and unsolicited refund!If you're putting in a multiple product order, I recommend a call to their customer service to handle over the phone to avoid this issue up front - their online ordering system only allows you to purchase 1 product at a time.

Jami Opalek: Worst place ever, way over priced, service is even worse. I have a pfaff that's only 2 months old and they wouldn't honor my warranty because I didn't purchase it there. I'm sorry cs but I'm not driving to California to have my machine serviced. It clearly states in the warranty that if your over 50 miles from place of purchase to go to the nearest certified pfaff repair place. All it takes is a simple phone call from cs to have my warranty transferred but they would not do that. It's all about the money with them. 🤬

Jenny Crabill: This is an amazing quilting shop with many top brands of sewing machines and parts, bolts and bolts of beautiful fabrics, notions, threads and patterns galore, and too many inspirational sample items on display to count!I stumbled upon this gem about 3 months ago and just made the 1.5 hour trek back again - it's worth the drive! The gal who helped me even remembered me from the 1st trip! Bonus, they're actually open on Sundays which is rare for a quilt shop. A must-visit for quilters in the area.

The Good Teacher: Love their denim, but….the staff stalks you. I am Black and already sensitive to this. I do not want to be approached more than once. Greet me and then let me shop in peace. And if I don’t ask you to start me a fitting room, CHILL! I just feel like that’s extra, IMO. Lastly, desk associate 6834174 (per receipt) was very rude. She helped me when I came in and then I needed to go try something on. When I came back to her, she told me to go to the end of the line and acted like she didn’t know who I was. With a rude tone said “well we have a line now so” and rolled her eyes. She has a ugly green streak through her hair and was sharing she went to college in FL with another guest. Anyways, when I worked in customer service I never did this. If I’m already helping someone and they come back, I assist them when I’m free next. She had NO ONE at her register and sent me to the end of line for an even exchange. One lady saw this and tried to help me on the side and then her iPad wouldn’t boot. To add insult to injury , the woman behind me in line ended up getting serviced before me. When I pointed this out the lady apologized, but still, walk over there and tell her to help me first , especially since you came and pulled me out of line. They could have just swapped the jeans and let me enjoy my day really. I recommend shopping online. I do not recommend Black women shopping here. You will not be treated with the dignity you deserve. You will be stalked, cut - but not allowed to cut, and forgotten about the moment you step away from an existing transaction. Do better Loft.

I love that each season the pieces are coordinated and can be built on one another. You also don't have to worry about things being see through or too low cut like you do with other stores. A note to other greater Lansing A list member the slim manager with the glasses does not care if you spend the amount of money to become a A list member. I asked to have my coupon reapplied (the same day) after I bought pants that were see through. She told me she was the "manager" and it is against company policy to reapply coupons. These were earned coupons from purchases.On top of that she was providing lost prevention customer service.Then I went to make a return, and she was overly hovering over the wonderful customer service person who is helping me make my return, as if I was going to try again to get a coupon around reapplied.I encourage all A- List customers to stay out of that store because it's not really the place for you.I hope it was worth aliening a customer who spends money that can assist in the stores daily/monthly/yearly goal.I feel undervalued, singled out and penalized. So, all my purchases will be made online and all returns made to the store.

I can't Express myself enough do not go to that location again
