Tim Sprangel: I had to pay my copay twice. I paid immediately after my appointment and then a month later was contacted about a missing payment. Not sure if the staff took my $20 or are just inept; not sure which is worse.

Britney Weber: I did a lot of research before coming to this dermatologist and trusted the reviews. In Nov 22' I seen Anna for some dry skin issues and for a growing spot on my forehead. I was probably in the waiting room for longer than the entire appointment.For both issues I was having the only thing she did was refer me out to different doctors. To which the first referral appointment I went to was the worst experience I've ever had with a doctor (literally got to my car and cried because the doctor made me feel so terrible and provided no help). The first referral appointment was so terrible I cancelled the second referral because I no longer trusted the opinion I was given.When I got my bill in Dec 22', I called the office and told them about my visit. The office explained I could get a doctor's deferral slip (or something along those lines? I don't know the terminology) to eliminate my bill, since Anna only referred me out and on top of that I had an awful experience with her referral.It is now Feb 23' and I have heard nothing back, except a recent email saying that I'm going to get sent to collections if I don't pay! So incredibly frustrating. I have went out of my way to call them multiple times for a status update on the bill and I am met with no answers to then get this email that says I'm going to be sent to collections for a medical bill the office said I would not be responsible for paying.Disappointment is an understatement. I have left multiple voicemails, and have tried to call on multiple days and still met with nothing.

elise granger: Disappointing. I went into my appointment with serious concerns about my skin and was prescribed something that caused a reaction. Upon checking out there was a lot of confusion as to how much payment was due, which left me not feeling confident about my visit. When they recommended a follow up visit from my reaction I was told by billing that it would be free of charge and since I had paid for an office visit just a couple days prior it would not be an issue. Instead, I was charged another office visit, prescribed another product I was uncomfortable with and ultimately felt unheard and ignored after voicing my concerns. Pretty disappointed. I would not recommend this office to those who are looking for more natural and compassionate answers to skin concerns.

Irene Meyer: When I took my grandson to Mid Michigan Dermatology, Mallory Murphy said I had a mark on my cheek that looked suspicious and asked me could she look at it.Mallory said I needed to have a biopsy and offered to do it right then and there. The results came back as positive for melanoma.I am still in awe that Mallory and the staff at Mid Michigan Dermatology were so concerned and accommodating.

LS MAIL: Horrible! Staff not that helpful or friendly when I was transferred to them. I have a skin problem goin that really needs immediate attention and cannot wait. I called because it is a Dermatology issue that I have to have treated Immediately. The office staff basically says oh well! Go to urgent care. Really!!!! Seriously! I said I had done that previously. Didn't matter! I am and established patient and that's how I am treated. Not good!

He didn't even come within 6 feet of me to "examine" my face rash, spent all of 30 seconds in the room with me, and dismissed my concerns without even letting me finish explaining my symptoms. I specifically asked if the cream he prescribed could be used by my eyes. He said yes. When I got the cream it said in large letters, "Do Not Use Near Eyes." I'll be requesting another doctor.

Grace Haley: Dr. Xu was dismissive of my concerns and examined the affected area for a whole 2 seconds. Was forgetful of any prior interactions and my reported symptoms. Details of the procedure were not communicated clearly. Will not be returning.

Daniel: The clinic itself appeared hectic and poorly managed. Dr. Xu provided abysmal care on my first visit. He seemed like he was falling asleep the entire time, examined me for all of 30 seconds, and dismissed my concerns out of hand. There was also a language barrier, and I had to understand Dr. Xu through context clues.If I were a member of this practice I would be ashamed of myself. This is doctor preforms the "why bother" method of medicine.

Richard Zubrick: Drove from Charlotte to East Lansing in the dark in the rain looking for this office for 45 minutes. Never found it. No sign or street number. Total waste of my time. I'll take my business elsewhere.

Victoria Steffy: Truly confused about the negative reviews for this practice. I switched from another very popular dermatologist office to Messenger Dermatology. I have now seen Dr Jeffrey Messenger twice. Both appointments I have made I was able to get in within the same week that I called. The phone staff is extremely courteous and helpful with scheduling appointments. Dr Jeffrey Messenger is always on time and never rushes my appointment. He listens to my concerns and treats them right there in the office without needing to book a follow-up appointment for treatment. He has a great personality and perfect bedside manner. His nurses are also very easy to speak to and kind during my visits. I have a crazy busy work schedule and I am never left waiting at my appointments and feel I am in and out in an extremely timely manner, treated properly and never rushed. Great office, I am so glad I switched!

S Van Horn: Showed up for my 3:40 pm appointment on time, heard the guy in front of my check in for a 4:00 pm appointment and they took him back to be seen by doctor before me. Why have a scheduled appointment time if they are not going to abide by it. Front desk offered no reasonable explanation. Very frustrating!

Lisa Bruun: I have several biopsies with other dermatologists over the years, but I never had such a painful experience. The doctor barely spoke English. I could not understand a word he said. The numbing process was sadistic and cruel. No matter the outcome from the biopsies, I will never step foot in this office again.

Catherine Gray: I called them back regarding my daughter's NP appointment that was to be set up and before we could set it the receptionist asked if we knew that she was up to date on vaccines. She's 14 so I'm sure she is or hardly has any but I'm also step mom and there's 7 of them. Honestly I can't say I completely know my first biological child is fully up to date I have so much going on I forgot but believe she is. I definitely know my newest one I had is up to date. But she had the audacity to say "I'm mom and I don't know if she's up to date?" In such a rude manor, and then she said "well maybe dad will know"No me or my husband don't and nither does her bio mom or her step dad.So please explain to me as the patients mother why I was being talked to rudely like my parenting is being judged. I don't like your receptionist at all if being rude to people for not knowing something is how they act.

Patrick Day: I had an appointment for my daughter scheduled for 6 weeks. Only to find out today they won't see her due to vaccination status. I'm sorry but I'm not forcing her to get a vaccine that clearly is uneffective just so she can she a dermatologist. We will go elsewhere. I also believe this to be discrimination.

Phyllis Selleck: If you have an appointment, plan on waiting AT LEAST an hour, even if you have the first appointment if the day! No respect for patient's time.

Michele Bashore: Both my husband and I have had treatments with Dr Messenger and his staff. I don't blame them for turning down people who elect Not to have COVID-19 vaccination's. If just one of their staff members contract COVID-19 it would cost them hundreds of thousands of dollars in lost revenue to close their office for the mandatory 14 day quarantine of staff and sterile cleaning of their office.

Stephanie Crisp: I called with a referral to make an appointment.  The receptionist took my information and set up an appointment. And then I said wait I've got a question. Do you require new patients, including referrals, to have a covid vaccination to be seen? She said yes we do. OK, so you're gonna let me drive all the way there, after taking off work, and gas is expensive, before you turn me away? You can't tell somebody that's setting up an appointment that that is a requirement? Are you kidding me? This sounds illegal! How is this ok? The only reason I knew to ask this was looking at google reviews before I called!!! Completely ridiculous. Avoid!

Xiaofei Yue: My daughter saw Dr. Michelle Gallagher for almost a year since weeks old. The doctor is always patient and friendly. I can see her love to kids every time she used different ways and small toys to calm down the baby. I called this practice when I couldn't find prescribed medicine in any pharmacy due to supply chain interruption last year. I got immediate response from the office and was told they would help to make the medicine if I could not find it. All my experiences here are positive.

Mary Carter: I sent an explanation in a previous text when asked to review my visit with Adam. Your office required my husband and I to see Adam first before I could get an appt with the Dr. So now we will be charged for three appointments. Adam answered one question for me and that was it. Spent less than 5 minutes with me. I did appreciate his professionalism. Now, I was expecting as I called it a skin test/check, maybe it's also referred to as a body scan with Dr VanAcker. I don't know, but that's not what I received. She did check my other problem but basically and repeatedly told me to go to an ob/Gyn. She was running behind. Talked fast and was in a hurry. Felt there was no time to allow me to ask questions. Very disappointing for a first time visit.

Cyndee Beach: The acceptable COVID-19 temp is no lower than 97 and no higher than 100.4. Google it. I waited 7 weeks for an appt and I got there early and set in my car for 15 min to kill time with the heat blasting away in my car. Your body temp raises after sitting in a heated car.. Google it.. My temp was 99.7 and I was not allowed my appt. I told the gal I had been sitting in my car. I think the least she could have done is let me sit for 10 min and re-check my temp.

When I needed a doctor to look at a problem, my wife, who worked in the nursing department at Sparrow Hospital, told me that I had to go to the new guy in town. She had heard many very good comments about Dr. Rinek and so off I went to see him. The 1st visit convinced me that if I need a dermatologist, in the future, and I did many many times, Dr. Rinek was the one. He is very personable, explains what he is doing and make the procedures less traumatic. T Chamberlin: I like Dr. Mitchell Rinek, he comes in, greets you, listens, diagnosis takes care of the issue in one day and sends you on your way. He takes care of the issues that day, like it you need a certain kind of mole removed, he removes the area, tests, treats. so there is not a lot of costs to the patient, insurance company or added paperwork to his office , not like some drs. who keep you coming back without addressing the issue you went in with. . Nothing but respect. I wish all the drs. were like Dr. Rinek. MD.
