Trisha Spinner: Today started off pretty rough, our Regional Director spilled hot chocolate down himself. Soaked his suit coat, shirt and pants thoroughly. He was planning on staying in the area, he resides in the Kalamazoo area, and luckily had a spare suit to wear. We called the Maurer’s cleaners on Saginaw Highway in Lansing to see if they could clean his suit for me explaining the hot chocolate all over the suit. We ran the suit to their location and requested a rush job, thinking it was still wet and they would be able to clean it for us. We got the call 2 hours later to tell me the suit was ready. I went to pick up the suit and brought it back to the office, I honestly didn’t look at it. I was impressed on how quickly they got the job done. The price was $15. Much to my dismay, when we looked at the suit, the shirt is still completely stained, the jacket has a huge stain on it and we didn’t even look at the slacks. I called the shop to tell them they did a horrible job and I wanted his money back. She said she would have to see it, so I made my 3rd trip to Lansing to have them look at it. They refused to give me back my money. They said they would reclean it. I assure you it was not cleaned to begin with. I think they pressed it and sent it on its way. The money isn’t the point. We told them of the stains on the suit and they never mentioned “they don’t guarantee their work” or that because it was a rush job, it may not have gotten completely clean. Now his $800 suit and $100 shirt may be ruined completely. Rest assured, he will be sending them a bill to replace his items if his dependable dry cleaner cannot get the stains out. I wanted to share my experience with everyone to avoid them making the same mistake as I did. This was my very first experience with a dry cleaner, and honestly I am NOT impressed. I highly recommend you find another dry cleaner if you are looking in the Lansing area. They will not be getting my or my directors’ business ever again!

She called different times and they said they had to send it out because of a alcohol stain was on it. No, one ever called her to update her that it was finally done. So we are not sure... Why no response to inspect the wedding dress prior to boxing it? Hoping when one of my granddaughters want to use it it's ok. The price was reasonable but as a business they did not communicate at all. We are understanding to a point with covid these last year's and staffing. It doesn't change the untimely results.

Xen Gen: The Maurer Family has been meeting and exceeding the cleaning expectations of our family for four decades now. They have not once failed to clean, press, remove a stain, or mend our clothing with less than exemplary service and quality work. While I do not use their laundry services I have friends that do, and they especially love the pick up and drop off service offered by Maurer's. Prices are very reasonable. I read some negative reviews and wanted to comment on the "bad odor" mentioned in one review. Dry cleaning involves chemicals...that "smell". There is no other way to "dry" clean clothes. My clothing has never left Maurer's smelling of chemicals. Please support this long time family owned LOCAL business!

Jocelyn Bagley: If I could give no stars that would be my rating.Maurer’s Sanitary Dry cleaners in Frandor is THE WORST! Anne the owner, first when I picked up 2 coats the pea coat wasn’t cleaned. Next, after I got it back the second time she sewed my pea coat pocket shut putting a button back on. (An amateur mistake but that showed me they don’t check their work). When checking the button repair i noticed there were brush marks on the coat. Anne said they would work on it. they had it for a MONTH!! No call, no contact, no effort. I stopped in every Friday from Christmas till 2 weeks ago when she handed me a paper from an internet search that said it could be my coat’s age?!? The offer for ruining my coat was dry cleaning credit plus Anne told me she looked up how much business I have brought them and it wasn’t significant enough to warrant more effort on their part. Today, all I asked for was the $20 I paid them to ruin the coat and she wouldn’t even refund that! UNBELIEVABLE! This is the best recourse I have. Please share with friends. It would have been easy to earn my business and I would have been writing a different review. NEVER have I been treated like that.

Hailey Hentschel: I took my wool coat to be dry cleaned by a local laundromat (Zoom on Lake Lansing), and later found out that they outsource this service to Maurer's.When I picked my coat up, it smelled overwhelmingly musty (like PERC and stale cigarettes) and immediately triggered a headache. Which is to say, it's much worse than when I dropped it off. I am told that either the coat was not dried properly -- thus the chemicals weren't able to fully evaporate before coming back to me -- or that the solution used to clean the coat was itself not clean. I was also looking forward to having the pet hair removed, but found that it was essentially just turned to lint and then not removed from the coat.I wouldn't recommend you take your treasured items here, unfortunately.

Alyssa Durand: I’ve been going to point laundromats for years, I easily spend well over $100 in doing laundry there a week, I have never been told to “take my laundry and go fold it elsewhere” because they wanted to close the store on their terms. Excuse me? I was there a solid 45 minutes before last wash and last I knew I was allowed to fold the clothes that I just washed and dried at the establishment that I’m paying to use. Who ever closes the store on Thursday nights is rude as hell and to sit there and TURN ALL THE LIGHTS OFF BECAUSE THEY WANT TO KICK ME AND THE OTHER 3 people in the Laundromat out because they wanted to mop and leave. This was a horrible experience and I’m doubting I’ll ever go back to this location over this rudeness.

Previous seamstresses we have used have misplaced our clothes, sewed crooked seams, ironed only one out of 2 pant hems, etc. Le is always organized, professional, efficient and pleasant!Her husband maintains a lovely yard with beautiful flowers. It is always a pleasure to go to her shop at her house.

She was twice as fast and HALF as expensive as any competitors, so I figured it was worth a shot to go to her. From that point forward, I frequented her for all clothing alterations throughout my time living in Lansing. 8 years later, I still find myself going to Le for alterations, even when she's 45 minutes away. Anthony Challender: I checked online For dry cleaners open around me it was posted online that this place was open till 7 PM I showed up at 6 PM knocked for five minutes and called twice just to go straight to voicemail. Nobody is here yet they are listed online to be open till 7pm on a Saturday. Don’t waste your time here. I’m never coming back and would highly suggest to anybody to not waste your time on this joke of a business.

I only had $87 in cash and quarters and I emptied my wallet because they only take cash and the owner says I really emptied you out today! Who does that! Very shady business practices going on here! Jeremy S: Brought a brand new dress in for alterations and they destroyed it! Their repairs caused it to be ripped, sewn unevenly, and and they put a hole in it. There is no way to repair the damage. I now have a brand new dress that my daughter can not wear! They did apologize and reimburse me the money I paid for alterations plus $20 which is not even close to the cost of the dress. Not a professional job at. Beware!!
