Sundance Riding Stables: what do users think?
Quentin: I was able to feed the horses
Craig Johnson: Great place to go ride
Matthew Gillett: I visited Sundance Riding Stables in Grand Ledge, Michigan, and I must say that it was an incredible experience. As someone who loves horses but has limited riding experience, I was thrilled to find a stable that catered to riders of all levels. The staff at Sundance Riding Stables were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and they made me feel comfortable and safe throughout my ride. The horses were well-trained and well-cared for, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The trail ride itself was beautiful, taking us through wooded areas, open fields, and along the Grand River. The scenery was breathtaking, and it was amazing to be able to experience it from horseback. What I loved most about Sundance Riding Stables was the variety of experiences they offer. They have everything from trail rides to pony rides for younger children, making it a great place for families. They also offer horseback riding lessons for those looking to improve their skills.Overall, I highly recommend Sundance Riding Stables to anyone looking for a fun and unique outdoor experience. The staff, horses, and scenery are all top-notch, and it's a great way to connect with nature and these magnificent animals. I can't wait to return and explore more of what this wonderful stable has to offer.
cael menken: I went to horse camp here I bonded with the horses and had lots of fun!
Chris M: Can't wait to go back!
Lisa LAD: Bridles literally on backwards rendering the reins a joke. Never placed anyone's feet properly in stirrups making it dangersous for the people that didn't wear heels of any sort. Horse I had had rain rot directly underneath the cinch. More problematic, I had to dismount to help a rider, after I had asked the lead person on two different occasions to help this woman. Great place but needs an experience horse person handling these rides. The Equine law does NOT absolve anyplace from being liablefor gross negligence. What I saw here that day. A shame because the foundation is there for things to be perfect for all!
Michelle Annis: Love going out there to see George roaming around his pen..
Julia Szybowicz: A fabulous time, especially with Shelby as wrangler/trail guide!!!🤩PSThank you for making sure to fix Achille's reins, too!!!
Thomas Wilber: This place was great had fun for me and my fiance's first time horse back riding!
Nathan Wells: Can't wait to come back! The staff are accommodating. Started raining when we got there and they still let us ride, since we had driven over and hour to get there. Thank you all!
Mo Tbr: Well trained staff and horses. Great family fun experience.
John Dusek: This was a great experience. The staff was very friendly and professional. The ride was through woods and open meadow. Kid and adult friendly and accommodating to all skill levels. Will definitely return.
Alyssa Slocombe: This was our first time riding horses, they had a petting zoo, they were patient with my kids. As soon as they got off the horses they said when can we do that again. Really fun time for the whole family 🙂
Rebecca George: Very frustrating experience to take 7 girls without being able to make a reservation and get there and have to wait another hour! And to be charged more than was quoted to me on the phone. And the ride was only 40 minutes because it took so long to saddle up thirteen people. The previous ride only had 6 people so not sure why we couldn’t have been included with that ride. Not worth the money or time.
Emma George: We have ridden here a couple times with large groups, so we called ahead, but they wouldn't let us reserve a spot. I even showed up early but they still wouldn't accept that a large group was coming. The time we wanted to ride filled up because they only take 10 at a time, so we ended up waiting 2.5 hours for a ride. Our group, and other people I talked to while waiting, were coming from 3 different directions and live 30-40 minutes away, so even if there are riding spots when we leave home, it can easily be full once we arrive. They over-filled our riding spot so by the time we all got on horses, it was only a 30 minute ride for the same price. They have lots of people waiting outside, even parties of 1-2, because there's just no way to know if you can ride at your desired time. They really should do reservation-only so that horses and guides aren't overworked, and people can enjoy their full ride in a timely manner.
Cassie Snider: This was our second time attending. Our first time was absolutely fantastic! Not a single complaint! How ever this time was much busier and I know they are under staffed and have newer staff who are still learning but our “guide” was rude and ignored our complaints. I brought my kid who was riding for her first time ever. I repeatedly let that be known. The horse behind me on the ride kept biting the horse I was riding and I repeatedly tried to get Kaitlyn to address it and help the girl behind me understand how to keep her horse at a distance. Kaitlyn said “oh no that’s not happening” like what do you mean? We continued telling her she continued flirting with my partner and not helping. I guided my horse over to the other side of the trail to stop the biting she yelled at me when I then said again “the horse behind him is bitting at him” she said “oh not Louie no way” referring to the horse biting said he wouldn’t do that. But he was. She then told my kid to let me go ahead of her to which I said I wasn’t comfortable as my kid is not experienced and I didn’t want her horse reacting poorly to the nipping. She still would not listen. She made our experience unnerving. I hope she gets retrained. She was also incredibly rude and talked down to me repeatedly while focusing very hard on her conversation with my partner and texting on her phone the entire ride.To say it was uncomfortable is an understatement. It was borderline dangerous.
Halmurad Turghun: Fantastic.
Emily Fell: We enjoyed riding through the woods, the horses were good, and Morgan was a great guide.
Kip Armstrong: Kids had a great time riding the trails at Sundance and Bonita was a great guide. They can't wait to go back. See you next time.
Mike Tanner: Had a blast, the trail guides were helpful and friendly.
Kim Harris: Awesome place. Great time.
