Candlewood Suites East Lansing, an IHG Hotel: what do users think?
작가호철: Near at MSU golf club. But beds are so small no light break fast.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 4/5Hotel highlights Great value …More
Jessica Schulte: A little out of the way but the rooms were nice. Perfect for long term stays with kitchenettes. Beds were new, no dips. Clean and nice furniture. Got a free upgrade.Rooms: Dishwasher and fridge available in suites. Had a whole pantry available. Great for long stays. Out of the way so pretty safe
mel brooks: Great Wi-Fi. The hotel is clean. Great staff. Carlos the evening manager was great . He’s friendly and very patient. I took Uber to my destinations, and the rates were reasonable. The hotel is on the grounds of a golf course.A hospital is in walking distance if medical care is needed. Lots of places to eat are close by.Nearby activities: GolfingSafety: Safe. Quiet neighborhoodFood & drinks: Many restaurants and bars near by via driving or Uber.
Clifton Copenhaver: The bathroom was the only negative experience. The tub had spackling on it(?), which meant my bath was very unpleasant. Secondly, the bathroom light had to stay off because it had very bad random strobing effectsRooms: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 4/5Hotel highlights Quiet …More
Jim Larue: I found myself in the Lansing area, needing a room, but without a reservation anyplace. Originally targeting a budget place like a Red Roof Inn, I learned a couple of popular shows were in town, and lots of the usual lodging was booked. That's when I found the Candlewood. The staff was very friendly. The room's features reminded me if a Hilton Garden Inn or Marriott Courtyard than a Red Roof room. My room had a kitchenette, so meals could be prepared if I had planned ahead. This would be a great place to stay for a week or a long weekend. There were some basics for sale in a lobby area, such as prepackaged cereal, milk, microwave popcorn, etc., but far better would be to bring groceries from home or hit a local grocery store. The bed was comforatable. Everything was super clean. I'd stay here again.Rooms: Very clean, spacious, well fitted, comfortableSafety: This is across from a newer hospital in a somewhar rural setting. It appeared to be an area low in crime.
Joanna Carrillo: I have been here a couple times and each time the bathrooms were not as clean as I would like to see. With hairs in the bathtub shoe prints on floor, stains on wall etc.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Doug Milewski: Needed a place to stay after we arrived at our original hotel only to find the power was out throughout Kalamazoo and we needed to find another place to stay. This hotel a little out of our way but every hotel in the area was booked solid. Nice staff (a little overwhelmed with all the last-minute bookings), clean/spacious room, and very quiet. Everything I'm looking for in a hotel!
Max Lamee: Friendly professional staff and nice clean room. Couldn't have asked for more.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Jackie Tracey: I booked a room a couple days ago and needed to adjust my reservation. It took less than a minute. I am so impressed with how easy they made this process for me!Service: 5/5 …More
WillnMandey Sauer: The room is clean and the bed is comfortable. They lose a star for having no breakfast, a star for the tub being so cracked I was afraid to use it, and a star for not having any kind of business center. They got one back because the young girl at the front desk was very friendly.I would also love to know why there's a dvd/vcr player combo in the room. Do people bring a lot of VHS tapes with them? Lmao!
Stephanie Wendt: Conveniently comes with everything you need and is in a good location. Friendly staff. Clean, although could use a good dusting. Shower/Tub diverter was broken, so could not take a bath. But at least the shower worked. 4/5 StarsRooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Amy Rohrbach: Needed a room at 1am. They were super nice and made it happen for us. Always clean and nicely appointed. We love Candlewood.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury, Quiet, Great value …More
Ed C: A long way from anywhere. Otherwise, okayRooms: 4/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 1/5 …More
Duane Edmonds: The rooms are nice and clean and the whole motel is kept clean and has a nice staff.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Poetic Oddities: My girlfriend and I have recently been displaced due to flooding and mold that was growing in our ceiling unbeknownst to us in our apartment. After much haggling, our apartment complex finally agreed to get us a hotel room for the night since our entire apartment smelled of mold. Our apartment complex was going to pay for this room until we found out that we can’t check in if you’re under 21. My girlfriend and I are both 19. After a long confusing day, I called this hotel (the one my apartment sent us to) and explained our situation. The first woman I talked to was very nice and asked for us to just wait while she transferred the line, however, the second person I spoke to was very rude and told us under no circumstances were we allowed into the hotel without “adult” supervision.I understand that rules are rules. I’m not upset that they were unable to accommodate us, but the way we were spoken to was absolutely unacceptable. Especially since we were just looking for a bit of guidance.

Keith Sparrow: The room was in a state of bad disrepair with stains on the walls in the bathroom, dust and hair in the corners, barely any water pressure and not enough linens for the beds. Residence Inn by Marriott East Lansing: what do users think?
Kimmy K: The room was nice. I had a 1 bedroom with small kitchen and living room. However, it smelled a bit like perfume which made me ill. The freezer on the refrigerator didn't have an ice maker and it was a long haul to the ice machine. I asked for extra pillows in my room and they weren't there when I checked in. The hotel is near part of MSU, but far from many things. Not many restaurants nearby. Had to drive about 5 miles to anything.
Kristi Dickinson: Fantastic! Nice big rooms
Lisa Shubel: Beautiful rooms. Great breakfast. Perfect location!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet, Kid-friendly …More
Katrina Davis -Johnson (Johnson): I stayed here for an extended Military assignment and the hotel is great, the rooms were nice and updated, amenities and grounds. One of the main reasons I stayed were because my kids liked the basketball hoop & I liked the kitchenette and gym. However, for some reason they don’t allow my 13 year old to play by himself. I was told a minor cannot be anywhere in the hotel without an accompanying adult!!! I’ve stayed at hundreds of different hotels, including Residence In all over the United States and I’ve NEVER had an establishment tell me this. Not Once! So, in order for him to enjoy the amenities, after a long days work (sometimes 16-24 hours at a time) I would have to sit there with him. I really don’t want to say this was racial profiling but when I saw other children waking around without an adult…. I felt I was single out. Great hotel but guidelines need to be consistent and universal. I thought it was kid friendly but I guess not.
Jebraun Ardister: Saturday March 25th was the worse experience I’ve had at this hotel. I booked a two bedroom suit a week prior for my son’s birthday. I Informed the front desk attendant my intent for booking the room. After we checked and our guest started to arrive we received a call stating that we can not have more than 6 guest swimming (something we weren’t informed about prior to booking or at check-in) It seemed like we were being watched on cameras or assumed that every person of color that walked in was with our group. I proceeded to walk to the front desk for clarification. While speaking with the front desk attendant I informed them that the people who planned to swim were my son, his 4 school friends and myself and us 6 are the ones that will be staying the night in hotel. Fast forward to us swimming a few of the front desk attendants came into the pool area and asked one group “how many kids belong to them?” Never came to me and asked me any questions but once again assumed that everyone else was with me. She then called our room and told my wife that we had too many people in the pool. I spoke with the lady and identified who was swimming she then gave me a time limited to wrap up the birthday party and that she will come to the room and do a head count. As she arrived to our room, we wrapped up the birthday party and people were heading out, she quickly told us we had 5 mins to leave because it was too many people in the room. As we were leaving the police was called on us (which scared our son) I felt like our group/guest were profiled, harassed and treated unfairly. Never will I attend this hotel again
Courtney Shantelle: Very rude seem very racist I would not recommend if your are of color I would never go back
paige Murchison: Worst experience I’ve ever encountered!!! I recently attempted to stay at the residence inn in east Lansing the weekend of 3/25/23. I’ve stayed at this location probably over a dozen times throughout the years. I’ve attended birthday parties, business group events, holiday parties, and personal stays there and they were all pleasant which is why I booked there over the weekend. I made reservations weeks prior to my stay, I called them to let them know my intentions for staying and the only concern was to make sure I have my ID to validate my discount. Upon arriving, I was given a homemade paper full of rules, I was asked to sign. After informing the lady Taylor (I believe, they refused to give me their names and they didn’t have on name tags) I am there to have my son swim party she then tells me I cannot after I already was approved to do so prior to me booking and paying. During the little time I was there, I was being micromanaged, watched on camera, assumed all the black people that were at the hotel there were together. I spoke with another black parent that was a guest and she was experiencing the same thing. There was also another child’s birthday party being held by white ppl, my husband asked them if they were having issues and they said no. And there were more than 6 people with them as well. To sum up my experience, we were ask to leave and they gave us 5 mins. The Asian lady with the glasses at the front desk then proceeded to call the cops on us because it took longer than 5 mins to pack and leave. After seeing the cops approach us and asked us to leave with there hand resting on their gun, when we were already off the elevator with heading out with all our belongings, my son then became scared and started to cry, asking me if we were going to jail and are they going to shoot us. They refused a refund and had zero remorse for ruining a 6 year old birthday party. I also told them, we were just there two weeks ago for another birthday party and it was no issue. Maybe because my friend who booked her biracial daughters party was a white lady. I have never been more humiliated, embarrassed, unwelcomed, and sad my sons party was ruined. I wouldn't recommend anyone BLACK to stay here. My guest and I never threaten anyone there but to have the police called to a 6 year old party was so out of line. Marriott will never get another dime from me and my "guest" said the same and they'll tell their family and friends the same.
Satoria MoonGoddess: Extremely clean, great staff, super friendly. Free Breakfast bar had vegan options. The room was just like a 2 bedroom apartment and I received a military discount. I can't wait to go back with my family for a weekend getaway. I've traveled the world and this was one of the best stays I've had anywhere!!! Kudos to the staff.Food & drinks: Excellent breakfast buffet. I'm plant based and there were many options for me.Noteworthy details: The staff was extremely nice. and accommodating
작가호철: Wonderful hotel!!!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Antonio M: Stayed here while my home was being renovated in town. Very friendly staff and decent accommodations!
Rhonda Olenzek: The staff was so friendly and helpful. The rooms need some updating (trim falling off light in bedroom, door to oven kept getting stuck open, no hooks in master bath, sat on couch and slid to middle, etc.), but beds were comfortable and everything was clean.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 4/5Hotel highlights Quiet …More
Kenneth Roberts: Let me begin with this, I am a Marriott employee, and this place is spectacular! The rooms are spacious, and the employees are phenomenal. The amenities are a plus too! They’ll shop for you complimentary on your first list for groceries. This place knows hospitality!
Mary Garcia: Staff so helpful and rooms are awesome!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Jo Dunavant: Friendly, clean, roomy and affordable. This place is wonderfulRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More

Michael Maine: Hotel was clean. Room was worn, wall paper coming off wall in spots and marks on furniture in room. Breakfast bar was below par. You have have to microwave your pre made sandwiches. They were extra chewy.Rooms: 2/5|Service: 2/5|Location: 2/5 …More

Residence Inn by Marriott Lansing West: what do users think?
K Gracie: Not a bad hotel. Our family of six for well into the 2 bedroom suite. We have 3 televisions, a stove, oven and full size fridge. On top of that, they offer a free continental breakfast. The only downside was that on each room, one bedside lamp didn't work. Everything else was satisfactory. Would stay here again.
ldwalton75: Had to stay in this hotel after having to leave my home in the middle of the night. The staff was very helpful. They saw I was distraught and made sure I felt safe and at ease with checking in. This hotel is dog friendly as my 4th child (yorkie) had to come with us.My only issue was the pool was never open and the breakfast wasn't all that great. The staff, however; was amazing!!!
Lisa Boban: It's a good place to stay when you're in the West Lansing area. Good check in experience (best bag of treats I've ever gotten for my status!). Nice room. Pretty good breakfast. I left something in my room and used the chat feature in the app to request they set the item aside for me, which worked beautifully!Noteworthy details: Lots of power outlets!
April Sharkey: Rooms were perfect for my family of 4. My entire extended family stayed and everyone was pleased. Ms. Irene that handles breakfast in the morning was absolutely amazing and so was the food. She was so sweet to my young kids, we could use more wonderful people like her in this world. To her manager she needs a big RAISE! Also that was the best breakfast we’ve ever had in a hotel. We will definitely be back!!!
Katie Woodhams: The only reason I rated 4/5 was because the pool was closed for our trip and beyond. The staff at the front desk made our trip so special by taking an interest in our family and our reason for travel. The room was clean and spacious. I love that the hotel was pet friendly. We will definitely return!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet, Kid-friendly …More
Alisha (Alisha): I had a wonderful time staying at the residence inn. Every staff member was so friendly and accommodating. I liked being greeted and welcomed back. I felt very welcomed here and checking out was a breeze. The rooms are very spacious and well designed. The heating kicks in quick and warms up the place very fast. The breakfast is very good with slight changes in variety each day. I especially loved the omelets, meat choices, bagels and fruit. I've stayed at 4 and 5 star hotels that were less spacious with very bland breakfast options. I will stay here again when I come back. The TV is very easy to use. I appreciate having the option of signing into my netflix and YouTube account from the TV as well.
Sheryl: Needs updatedRooms: 3/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great value …More
Samantha Watson: I am very impressed with the 2 beautiful ladies with welcoming smiles and a friendly greeting as soon as I walked in. They were happy to help with several of my questions. The room is very spacious and clean. I'm looking forward to the rest of the week here.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet …More
The Rarest Pepe: Our stay here was absolutely awesome. Every staff member was helpful and cordial. I was welcomed by Mario at the front desk and treated to a stellar customer service experience. He was professional and expedient all while being kind and attentive. When we had breakfast in the morning, it was delicious and served by Santana. Who was an amazing employee and went out of his way to make my five kids and my breakfast an awesome and smooth experience. Easiest 5 stars ever. Kudos to everyone there and thank you!
Keith Badgley: Gross. When we checked in, they warned us that a bat was flying around the halls. Rooms were not nice. We were just happy to leave.
Kelli Williams: Nice, clean, and just like home!
Taj Zaman (Dowagiac1990): Been holed up here for Christmas most of the last ten years while visiting in-laws. Ever time I notice improvements to the lobby and rooms. Hopefully the worn out carpet in 205 is next to be replaced. Still haven't figured out the mystery door hiding the elevator.
JaysReviews82: Really nice room and front desk is very friendly.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet, Great value …More
Eric Driskell: I had a good stay the only problem was my two key cards didn't work for the room and I was staying for two nights breakfast is good and the breakfast attendant did a good job bring it out food thank you
Stanley Jelinek: Nice clean rooms. Helpful staff. Close to shopping and restaurants.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great value …More
JJ McPhee: Let me first confirm the hotel is indeed temporarily closed until at least fall due to a water main break and renovations. Like others writing reviews I experienced a similar surprise to show up with no room availability. Marriott Loyalty “guaranteed” the room and ensured me (by more than one agent) that they were open. Frustrating.Silver lining, we met Brandon at Fairfield next door (same management company) who helped us out and made things much better.I blame Marriott Corporate for not recognizing the hotel is down for renovations, very unlike them. These bad reviews should not reflect poorly on the management company as they are the only one who stood up and made things right. I look forward to visiting the newly renovated Residence Inn soon. Thank you Brandon!!!Josh
Joshua Caudill: CLOSED! By far the worst experience I've ever had with a Marriott family hotel. I almost went full nuclear Karen. We booked this hotel 6 months in advance while planning my daughter's graduation open house. Needed the kitchen to cook for the party. The day before our check-in, I get a notice on my Bonvoy app to check-in. We definitely needed the room, so I checked in.On the day of our check-in, we pull into the parking lot. It seemed odd that no vehicles were in the lot, save one construction truck. We walk up to the main door and notice a sign stating all packages need to be sent to the Fairfield Inn next door. On the opposite window is a notice that the building was not safe for humans. NOT SAFE FOR HUMANS. Seriously?!?I call the front desk to see what's going on. Of course there is no answer or any message explaining the situation. We drive over to the Fairfield Inn to see if they know what's going on. The front desk clerk proceeds to tell us that there was a flood back in late January. The hotel has been shut down since then and probably won't open until September. This is July. Remember, I booked this 6 months in advance and even checked in the day before our arrival.I didn't receive any type of notification from Marriott about this closure. Not a phone call, email, letter, carrier pigeon, or app notification. I call the corporate line. The person I spoke to had absolutely no clue this location was closed. "What do you mean it's closed?" All they could do was help book another hotel for us in the area and cancel our reservation so we don't get charged the fee for late cancellation. They were kind enough to waive the fee for late cancellation on a hotel that is basically condemned. Thanks . . . .I'm now stressed out of my mind. We're 600 miles from home without a hotel. We should have had a hotel because we booked 6 months in advance. I'm now dealing with the "manager" (Karen Level 1) who has no power to do anything expect rebook us somewhere else. Pretty sure I can do that on my own. I have the app. Who doesn't notify their customers when a location has been shutdown? Marriott apparently. Who doesn't give customer service managers the power to make the situation right? Again, apparently Marriott. We asked if they could book us in the hotel next door, the Fairfield Inn. According to the corporate "manager", that hotel is completely booked. My wife, see that I'm at a Karen Level 3, heading into nuclear territory, decides to check with the front desk. Turns out they do have rooms!Corporate Marriott is absolutely worthless. They have no clue what is going on with their hotels. They couldn't offer any kind of discount for our inconvenience. They did offer me a whopping 10k in Bonvoy points, which won't even get you one room for a single night. I think that's about 2 bottles of water from their store. This could have been a huge customer service win for them.I've been a Marriott Rewards/Bonvoy member since 2011. I have their credit card. I’ve been Gold Status for the last 2 years and Silver for over 5. To be treated like this is mind blowing. What’s the point of a loyalty program if Marriott can’t step up and fix a huge mistake like this? What's worse is I have reservations for this location for this Christmas. Booked in June. Again, 6 months in advance at a hotel that is definitely condemned. Why on earth would their system allow me to book it?!? Oh, the hotel will be operational again by September. Right . . . . like I'm going to believe that. Nothing like getting stranded without a hotel during Christmas. Hotels are easy to come by during the holiday season . . . . . .If you like being stressed to the point that becoming an alcoholic Karen sounds fun, you might want to check this place out. If cirrhosis and delirium tremens aren't your thing, I'd look elsewhere. So disappointed in Marriott. There's a brand new Hilton across the street. Maybe it's time to check out their loyalty program. Do you know if they'll accept Marriot Bonvoy points? Asking for a friend.

Wes Strait: Room # 138….Friendly, helpful staff. Loved the room, larger fridge, real dinner plates with silverware and a pairing knife. An actual dishwasher, Two burner glass stove top.Full size microwave, and a ice maker in the fridge. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning worked great! We didn’t get a chance to use the pool but it looked nice. Highly recommended these accommodations.

Kaylee Erlewein: This was the best hotel experience I have ever had! Especially with a family of 6. It was the most affordable and easy option. This will be our go-to hotel for every trip we take anywhere! The night we stayed they even had a taco dinner that was incredible and complimentary! Having a separate bedroom and bathroom for the kids with a living space in between is ideal! This is a well-planned hotel. The staff was wonderful and the breakfast superb! Thank you for creating this space for families!
KEVIN HAMBRICK: Would definitely recommend it

The gentleman that checked us in was so sweet and kind,Food & drinks: First hotel that I have stayed at that has pop at breakfast, which my family loved. And of course o.j. and apple juice too. They serve for breakfast: fruit, scrambled eggs, toast, muffins, omelets,, oatmeal, and cold cereal, buiscuts and gravy on somdays, they also had boiled eggs, yogurt with toppings, turkey sausage somedays and bacon the other days, also friedpotatoes, etc..Doordash delivers to this hotel. If you do not know what doordash is, it's a company that you put food/store orders through Doordash at different restaurants, stores, Etc. The hotel staff can explain to you how you go about doing doordash. My kids loved the 6 foot deep pool. Which the pool room is clean and warm. No bathroom in the pool room, but there is a bathroom on the same floor.I would highly recommend this hotel.

Cody Marshall: Place was nice, clean, quiet. Rooms were cozy and clean. Only complaint was the breakfast, at least, the eggs, french toast sticks weren't very good. But other than that, it was a great place to stay.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great view, Quiet, Kid-friendly, Great value …More
Mike: Overall a decent hotel. Super friendly and personable front desk. My only complaint is the floors and ceilings are paper thin. I guess that’s just the way they build hotels now.
Robert R. Chapin: Service was excellent. Could not have asked for better service. Luggage cart had flat tires making it next to impossible to use to get our things to the third floor. Dishwasher was full of dirty dishes in the room amd cleaning was so/so. After cleaning the room and the dishes myself I am very happy with our suite. Great layout with lots of space. I would just say Housekeeping needs a little more training. Would still recommend this place.

Andrea Walker: Customer service was excellent. Food was great as well. Limited selection at 24 hr store...only complaint is the bathroom. Not cleaned too well. HomeTowne Studios East Lansing - Okemos: what do users think?
Barbara Steele: The staff is absolutely fabulous. The rooms are clean and well decorated. The small kitchen with a nice sized fig, sink, and small cooktop makes a game changing difference. The price is excellent! I've played twice as much for far less!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 4/5Hotel highlights Great value …More
ken kasko: I have been staying here on and off for several months for work Rooms are clean, the staff is awesome. If you are going to stay in Okemos for an extended stay you should stay here. Do not freak out they lights in the bathroom are motion sensing and fan stays on all the time.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great value …More
Jun Nogami: I didn't realize that this is an extended stay venue. It was a bit strange not to have carpeting in the unit. The alarm clock in my room was trashed. Overall, there was a sense that the venue was a bit run down. Also I didn't see a way to turn off the bathroom fan, which was annoying.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 4/5 …More
James Taylor: Great location friendly staffRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More

arthur brown: This was the biggest shocker of any hotel I've stayed at .... Rooms were way nicer than expected.. The bed was extremely comfortable.. Super easy hookup for my game ect... For $70 I couldn't believe it... I will definitely be returning.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Victoria Butler: We had a great stay at HomeTowne. We stayed in an ADA room and my partner had his first shower in a very long time. He was in there for over an hour and the water never lost temperature. The room size and layout allowed me to easily move him around in a wheelchair and hoyer lift. The staff were all really great. We dealt mostly with Ryan who was wonderful during our stay, but every staff member we saw were kind and personable.
Emily Hinks: If it wasn't for someone else booking this hotel, I would have never agreed to stay in such a dump of a place. The hotel has nice rooms and looks great! I'll give them that. Red Roof, anything you always expect things to be dirty and they were! The hallways/ stairway looked like no one knew how to vacuum them. The entire building smelled like weed. We had to move rooms, because of it. We drove 9 hours, so after we ate, I wanted to take a shower. I noticed hair was on the floor, but the worst part was the hair on wash rag...... cobwebs on the floor by the HVAC unit. The second room was an improvement. My only complaint was the floor. My socks picked up a ton of dirt. There was a sign put up about being under construction. Please don't mind our dust. However, there wasn't any construction, and that's a poor, lazy excuse for a dirty hotel.Maybe some ventilation, new cleaning staff and cookware, cups, coffee pot, and silverware. If you have the equipment to cook, have everything else!!!Rooms: DirtySafety: Good lighting, apparently lots of stabbings
Fahimeh Hosseini: Nice hotel with fridge and stove and rooms with high ceilings renovated and clean
meranda white: They pick and choose who does and does not have to pay a deposit, I suspect based on skin color because as long as it was just me, no deposit was required but as soon as they saw my boyfriend, they then required a $50 deposit, literally the next evening. When I asked about the policy, I was put on the Do Not Rent to list apparently yet they cannot explain why nor give me anything to show that I am on the list. The front desk manager Josh was adamant that he didn’t have to have a reason.
Donna Davis: The desk staff was very friendly but no room cleaning the entire week. Needed towel change and had to go to the desk.Overall room clean when we walked in and great mini kitchenRooms: 4/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Michael Gonzalez: Did not have the anemities that was advertised on the booking site (pool, free breakfast, snack area, hot tub) the room was ok but the bathroom fan was loud and always running with no way to turn them off. Hallways was very dirty as was the stairways and their was paint chips and also missing wall trims along the stair hallways. Look like the hotel was not kept up considering that it's a long stay hotel, no cleaning or vacuuming in the hallways. Would not recommend it. Would not give us our refund because they stated that it's not their fault of what 3rd Party advertised. So we called the site who made our booking and made sure we got our money back.
samiya barber: Had to immediately check out. BED BUGS in first room. They switched me to another room, BED BUGS EVEYWHERE AGAIN. DO NOT RECOMMEND.Rooms: 1/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 3/5 …More
Brian Kiger: Looks like changing owners. They will have many improvements to make. Good stay for the price.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Karen Clugston: Do not like the additional pet fee expense. No hair dryer in the room.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 5/5 …More

Red Roof Inn Lansing West - MSU: what do users think?
Alex LaBlanc: The room smelled like a wet dog. It was room 111. Upon checking in, they either double booked my original room of 131 or it was a communication error between the staff. I'm curious if that room smelled any better since we never got to go inside. Only once they key card failed to let me enter my room. It was not that big of a deal since all it took was a new card, which was pretty quick. I just wanted to let you know that if a free breakfast is part of the reason you book a place, they DO NOT have free breakfast. Every day they will tell you "unfortunately we didn't make any today, but there is some nutrigrain bars and coffee if you like." Although it was a little annoying that free breakfast was not available since I was under the impression that it was and the pictures on their website were misleading, the staff was friendly and I didn't have any other issues. (Considering I was only there to sleep and shower)Nearby activities: There is shopping next to Red Roof Inn within walking distance. It's about a 10-minute stroll to a huge grocery store. I didn't buy much, but it seemed like fresh quality product that they had there.Walkability: There is a Burger King and a grocery store nearby within walking distance. Didn't do too much walking around the area, but it seemed like if you wanted to go for a walk, you may do so.
Jeremy Hurt: It was fine. Nothing horrible happened, but nothing exceptional came from the stay. Pretty much what you'd expect from a "doors on the outside place.Walkability: Tons of food options within walking distance
D.Brandon Campbell: The first room, the back of the bed had fallen off the wall, lamp on the floor. Smelled like smoke.2nd room smelled like a dog, had ants and was dirty. Stains on the bed.3rd room they gave us after the first 2 were terrible, smelled like old feet, had stains on the bed, dirt on the floor, water wouldn't drain in the bathroom, tub dirty. After all that, having driven 4 hours from Chicago to stay here, we just wanted a refund and to be on our way. But the manager Jennifer Long, refused to give us a refund and I wasn't even upset until she said, "I'm trying to work with you!" Ma'am it's been THREE ROOMS!!!!She then claimed the 2nd room WAS clean! And said, "your clean may not match our clean." Ma'am what? Clean is clean!I then said, "let's go upstairs and view the room together. And if it's clean, we'll stay." She then tells me I'm threatening to her and she's afraid to go upstairs and view the room together.Terrible customer service, unclean and unfriendly manager and we will NEVER stay there again! We understand staff can be low, stressed but that doesn't mean we have to accept subpar standards. This was ridiculous. And THEY REFUSED TO REFUND US!
Yaya G: This hotel works with the Eaton County Police Department and gives them the information of all guest. In the late night early morning hours you will hear banging on the door of people they found with arrest warrants. Red roof is working with big brother and less safe than tik tok. 0 starts highly recommend NEVER staying at any Red Roof.
Regina Owan: I travel a lot and this time, I need convenient and affordable place to stay. Red Roof Inn had made it happened for me!Feel like home;I enjoyed all the stuff from the front disk for she has knowledge of the area and she will give you map and direction, to where you can go for food and groceries you may need. And with her lovely welcome smile; along with the cleaner stuff they were always willing to make sure I have what I needed for my stay and willing to keep the room clean. I was even help to have my car clean from snow.Friendly, fast, easy, convenient, affordable and peaceful! Thanks you!ReginaThanks for all your kindness!
Christina Lake: This was a last minute check in due to weather. Although we were happy to be safe off the highway with the snow storm, the room was awful! The room stunk like wet dog even spraying freezer throughout the room. We were also charged double the price shown online! There is NO continental breakfast either which is shown online as having. The lady at the front counter actually laughed at my husband when he asked. Needless to say, we will NOT be back here again. We will brave the roads instead of staying here again.
Billy CrysTals: One main switch runs a whole roomRooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 1/5Hotel highlights Great value …More
Clarence Henderson: Was so great i loved it thank youRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Katherine Raymond: Room is nice but room was located in back I heard all night was a noise from the factory behind itRooms: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Naomi Amanita: This was under the sheets after I pulled the sheets off because of soemthing crusty on them. The yellow stuff on the mattress...also crusty YUCK. The maids need to step it up or they need some help because I've seen gross stuff at this location before but nothing to this extent. It's not hard to wash off a mattress or sheets for that matter and it shouldn't be hard to check your employees work and maybe have higher standards for them .
Tracy Wells: Food & drinks: So many restaurants around this locationRooms: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet, Great value …More
LaTricia Davis: The rooms are so nice now! I remember the old place and boy have they improved!! We needed a night out and this place was great. Quiet, right off the highway, and the open shower was hot and refreshing!Rooms: They don't have a tub but the open shower is nice. It was quiet and very relaxing.Nearby activities: It's a quick drive to movies, mall, shopping, the riding stables, and the highway to get everywhere is a block away.Food & drinks: If you can't find something to eat withing a couple mins drive then you can't be hungry. From McDonald's to Dennys to tangy crab. From kroger to Walmart to horrocks. It's close to this place!!
Henry Marsh: Rooms: Not kept very wellHotel highlights Great value …More
Bruce Ellison: I mean it's the Red Roof. You just hope for cleanliness and no security issues. They some what delivered on that part.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 3/5Hotel highlights Great value …More

Red Roof Inn Lansing East – MSU: what do users think?
Tammy Hardiman: Price was not bad. Location was very convenient. Rooms were not the best. Needed remodel and deep clean. 2nd floor walkway underneath had exposed rebar and broken cement that could pose a risk to ground floor guests. We requested no housekeeping just access to fresh towels each day. We wanted to give housekeeping a break.A staff member acted as though we had intentions of taking them and made us return dirty towels each day before we could get new ones.Lastly we kept getting locked out of our room and had to have key card reset several times over the course of our stay.Overall not a terrible experience but would not choose this location again.
Lucas Dainen: Nice and quiet, accommodating for the furries. Very pleased
Gabbi: This hotel was extremely disgusting. I am only able to give one star if I was able to give no stars and leave a review I would! Not only did they not provide any hot plates for the microwave which is the only thing we have to warm up food!!!! THEY ALSO HAD ROACHES !!! I repeat they had roaches!!!! I’m itching now writing this review after I stumped in the office and demanded a refund which they gave over so easily because they knew!!!! When I address the lady in the front desk and ask have this been a pass problem she says “ “oh not in that room” …. Wouldn’t you think if they had them in one room they have them in ALL!!!!! I’m telling you guys I only spent three hours in the room in a mama roach gave birth to 38 babies in my bag!!! Luckily, I caught it the same night, I would’ve went home with roaches. How disappointing lost out on a good bag!!! Please don’t book here or you will be the next victim of this disaster!!!! Or sleep with one eye open!!!!
Aileen Huard: We stayed at the lansing Michigan location and it was awful. No towels and toilet paper and was refused towels and toilet paper at the desk had to go buy our own. Ice covered stairs my mom fell down the stairs slipping on the ice and the office staff could care less. No remote for the TV. Snow blew in at the seem of the door the shower temp was reversed the microwave handle was broke
Joann Thomson: Nice clean rooms. To many people living thereRooms: 4/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 3/5Hotel highlights Great value …More

Tianna Krummel: This place does not look like their photos! It's awful and ran down! DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!Rooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 1/5 …More
ROBRET MATHY JR: Was not happy staying here at all. It was totally disgusting in all ways. Bathroom was so not clean and very nasty. Urine stains on toilet and floor. Toilet was still unflushed with urine in it. Bathroom door had a hole in it. Shower floor had hair all over it and not cleaned. Empty shampoo bottle on shower floor behind broken shower chair. None of the room had been dusted in a long time. The floor was not moped recently with dirty shoe prints. Carpet was not vacumed and food crumbs all over.Very dirty refrigerator. Bedding looked clean but was 100% sure. It was close to where we had to be next morning but I'll never stay there again.
Elizabeth Compton: They need new beds bad the mattresses are awfulRooms: 1/5|Service: 2/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Mary Birdsall: Parking lot could use a make over. Location is center no matter which way your heading! Closest fast food is a Taco Bell. Rooms are decent just a really small bathroom.Rooms: 4/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Stan Myaskovskiy: I have stayed here multiple times. First stays were a fine. Decent rooms no major complaints it’s what you expect. My last stay was a complete disaster. I came to the hotel with a booked stay for 1/2-1/3.I arrived after a 6 hour drive Early 3:55~ AM exhausted and with only 3 hrs to sleep because I had to wake up early for my cats cancer appointment which was at 7:30am.Rather than give me my room, they refused and kept me awake resolving the issue until 5am with no compassion for my situation.I was quickly informed that due to some ridiculous policy they have that they —CANCELLED my room (they could have called me to make sure I’m still coming but did not) and they would only give me a room if they could charge me a second time FOR THE SAME ROOM I ALREADY PAID IN FULL FOR.I showed them in writing that rooms are non refundable and they insisted i just needed to talk to the manager for my refund. As I came in at 4am, I had no choice but to pay a second time for the exact same room. So I was fully double charged. They are now all useless by telling me only their manager “Josh” can refund me, but I call every day, emailed Josh, and don’t think this person exists because he is never there, he doesn’t reply to my emails. And every day they tell me “he will be in tomorrow” but he hasn’t been in once.I’m now out $140 for a one night stay and can’t seem to get anyone to care about giving me a resolution. They are happy to take my money, and not happy to even attempt to return in.Had to tell them that if I don’t hear back I’m going to fully file a dispute for both payments with my credit card company.I stayed for 3 hours from 5am-7:30 and then left home. This isn’t how you treat someone with a sick and dying animal who travels 6 hrs for treatment at MSU.If I get a resolution that is responsible I’ll edit my review but at this current time I’m deeply disappointed and frustrated.
Heather Lane: Our room was nasty my husband was on call cause of the storm an we chose this place cause we've never had a problem. Our room had a musty smell microwave had something nasty floor was never vacuum an we wasn't comfortable saying something to the front deskRooms: 2/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 3/5 …More
Peg Dafforn-Rader: Really nice and clean and dog friendly. Coffee in the morning with great creamer!
