Jay Earl: Where to even begin. I was charged with some serious allegations which if found guilty, the mandatory minimum would have been 25 years. I started with a court appointed lawyer who I felt wasn’t representing me the best way possible. So a month before trial, we hired John English of the Kroznek firm. John was extremely professional and took the case on and quickly caught up to speed, filing more motions and objections in one month than my court appointed had in 6 months. Most of the objections to the motions that he filed weren’t sustained, or, if we had one to actually go through it was denied at a later date. But, John English never gave up hope. He never told me anything he didn’t believe nor did he tell me anything just because he thought I wanted to hear it. Through a grueling 4 day trial, and jury deliberations for 3-4 hours, the verdict came back. NOT GUILTY ON ALL CHARGES. On a previous meeting with John, I had a black and pink striped tie. He told me that was a cool tie, and I told him if we won it was his. So after the verdict was in, the tie came off. I wasn’t even out of the court room yet. If you’re facing a tough case, do not lose hope. It’s people like John at the Kronzek Firm that will fight against all odds for your freedom. When I came home after the verdict my youngest daughter was in tears and said, “Yay! She made life hell, and it proves her client was horrible as she withdrew from being his lawyer before the case ended up at a trial she and her client caused. Do better!

Audra Lux: TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE FROM DAY 1!!!! I was in the middle of a do-it-yourself divorce and on the last day my husband decided to hire a lawyer. On that day, my sister and I scoured google for great lawyers in the Lansing area. The reviews for Wood & Associates were stellar. That was NOT my experience. My initial consultation with Joe was great. He was kind and straight to the point about my case. He assigned me to Brigette. It took several days for her to contact me. Our initial talk went well but she said she needed to speak with my husband's lawyer to confirm exactly what was going on and she'd get back with me. Days later she emailed me a very blunt summarization of information, not backed up with any explanation. I was confused about why she said one thing on our initial call then after speaking to husband's lawyer totally changed her tune. I asked for an explanation, but none was given. I tried to call to speak with her and even said I would only need two minutes of her time, but she was out on vacation as of the end of that day and she didn't call me back. So, she was asking me to agree to pay money for an appraisal on my home that I didn't think was needed based on her original call with me. Again, no explanation as to why she now agrees with his lawyer. I fumed the entire long weekend and set up a face-to-face meeting with her. Face to face she was a very nice lady but kept interrupting me while I was explaining things. I felt very rushed and not heard. This lack of communication continued through the entire process. The worst is when my husband and I asked to go back to the original divorce agreement with nothing being contested, Brigette generated the new Judgement of Divorce and there were so many mistakes and spelling/grammatical errors that I had to ask to get corrected, like nobody even used spell check! These people get paid $350/hour and I had to correct spelling and grammar and legal verbiage! Even though I spelled out specifically what needed to be corrected and where on the JOD, it took one of the paralegals to CALL me to go over it all to make sure it was actually corrected (because I emailed Brigette several times for corrections and she'd correct one or two things but not the rest). Very unprofessional! Very condescending! My entire retainer and more was used for the simplest work possible ($4,500 total). I would NEVER recommend this company and will NEVER use them again. This was the worst experience I've ever had with an attorney. (I will end on a good note...the ONLY good note about my experience: The online portal that they have for billing and communication is amazing and makes it very efficient.)

Tiffany Marie: My son’s dad hired Erica as his attorney. After we went in front of the judge she said she would prepare the paperwork and proceeded to not file for FIVE MONTHS. My attorney had to prepare the paperwork she was supposed to do and threaten her with court hearing to get her to comply. Over six months later, we are finally wrapping up what should have been done in a few weeks. All this after we had to get our court date pushed back multiple times so she could go on vacation. This woman unnecessarily put a strain on my life for months because I couldn’t get much needed paperwork. Highly recommend going elsewhere if you want things done in a timely manner.ETA: the response is an absolute joke. When we went in front of the judge and agreed upon the custody agreement, the judge asked which counsel was going to prepare the agreement and erica spoke up right away and said she would. She then was to lazy to follow through, so mine had to step up and do it. She then couldn’t be bothered to review the one my attorney completed until threatened with a court date. If you look through other reviews on both Google and yelp the not completing necessary paperwork seems to be an ongoing issue. Maybe get that figured out before you draft a joke of a response.
