royaldiadem1: On my way home 5:20-5:45pm today I traveled on Saginaw Hwy/Oakland west toward Delta Township. A Pro Soil Truck drove extremely fast, weaving in and out of traffic from Capitol Avenue to Waverly Road. He drove as if he was intoxicated and/or high. He placed others in danger and as well as himself as he exceeded 25-30 over the speed limit 35. Your driver weaved in front of cars narrowly missing 25+ cars. He appeared to enjoy himself. This is not a good representation of Pro Soil.

Casey Staelens: The locking mechanism portion of our gate was installed incorrectly. Company has refused to correct this mistake that an employee made (it is NOT a “style” or “personal preference” problem ). When you pay a company over $5,000 to install a fence you expect things to be done right. Had Pro Soil been willing to take 20 minutes to fix this problem this review would be positive. However, the company got paid and now they do *NOT* stand by their product & installation.I would also like to add that I was charged for a permit for my fence. Pro-Soil failed to pull a permit until the township stepped in.

Toni Crane: Consumers hired this company after replacing the lines like they did in surrounding areas. They did a horrible job of seeding our grass. Did not rake it out. It's all clumpy and just a horrible job! Also, they did not do the bare spot beside our house at the meter. Just plain dirt....no seed or straw. There was grass in that same area prior to Consumers. Consumers should have done a much better job selecting their companies. I live on Risdale Ave 2900 block. We don't have a perfect yard but should have left it much better than they did. And apparently I'm not the only one that feels that don't do a good job regarding soil and such after Consumers. How can you do a bad soil job with SOIL being in your company name????????

Stephanie Benbow: This company was an absolute nightmare to work with. They won our bid by promising to meet a deadline that they ended up not meeting by over 2.5 months. They destroyed our sprinkler system that we had marked for them, left medal rods laying in our yard that were hit by our lawn mower, repeatedly didn’t have the right parts, killed our grass by leaving parts in our yard and then wouldn’t show up for another week to work on the fence, broke our neighbors fence. The list goes on and on. Not to mention they did not put our fence together correctly or use the right parts so my fence blew down and my dogs almost escaped. We asked them to fix our fence using the correct parts and we were told that they would not do it. If you want something done right please DO NOT use this company. They are more expensive than any other fence company, lie to win your business and then do not stand by their work. Very disappointed.

mason benbow: Worst contractor I have ever worked with. Won the bid by promising to have a fence done in 2 months that took 4 months to complete, 3 months to even start. Asked multiple times to ensure timing was still possible given supply shortages and was ensured 1.5-2 months. Repeatedly rescheduled or was missing something. Flagged sprinkler system and still hit the lines 4 times and cemented a junction box. Tools were left in the yard that were hit with a lawn mower. None of the post holes were backfilled. Damaged my neighbors fence setting an adjacent post. Planks and weather strips were never adjusted at the end and just left with gaps everywhere, unprofessional. Rails on gate section have no added support and fall apart even in the mildest wind which have caused my dogs to almost get out on multiple occasions. Whenever confronted with an issue it was met with excuses and no professional service or concession to make it right. Due to COVID we have been waiting for our fence and took the advice of the ladies in the office and waited for the red cedar. The crew showed up on time, showed us how to make the install better, set the verticals and came back on time a few days latter and crafted the red cedar into a work of art. I walked the fence line, no nails, no labels no trash just a straight beautiful fence, but the placement of that cedar, the sun and the shadows makes it our art project. And I'm really getting sick of it.If we need a fence replaced or a tree removed, we better know 18 months ahead of time because that's how long it takes to find one of these companies that will both respond and come out to do the work .When researching fencing companies, this one seemed the most promising, due to reviews, quality and the fact that they didn't use their social media to promote far-right propaganda. But what's the point if they ghost me every time? They're more likely to respond to me (male) spouse, which is concerning.

Nicole Currie: I held off on this review for a long time, giving the company time to fix their mistakes. Unfortunately they did not. So here goes.Clery Fence Co. didn’t start the job for our privacy fence until the 11th week after we signed a contract and gave them half of the total cost as a down payment, and before signing they told us they’d start in 4-6 weeks. I get that materials are harder to come by right now but there was absolutely zero communication from them. I had to call multiple times a day for weeks trying to even get anyone to answer the phone, for a while we thought they’d just taken our money and had no intention of doing the work. I only got through to the receptionist one time and she was very rude, acted like my frustrations were an inconvenience to her day. Maybe they were, but there’s an easy fix to that- communicate with the people you’re taking money from! When I finally talked to her after the job was finished, 15 weeks after the contract was signed, I told her I wanted to talk to the owner of the company about how they would compensate us for this terrible communication/late work. She said his name is Brian Clery and that he’s been in business for 32 years and he’s no “fly by night” so he’d call me right away. Haven' heard back from them since. Horrible company I wouldn't spend a dollar with them. The driver of the truck had a cast on both arms, probably shouldn't have been driving. That could've been a kid he hit!

Ayla Wray: The way Phil spoke to us was absolutely disgusting and completely uncalled for. We had something unexpected come up for us financially and needed to cancel the job. According to his timeline, we still had another 4-6 weeks before we would be able to have our privacy fence installed. We understood that material had already been ordered and were told there would be a 10% restocking fee for said material. My husband questioned this fee because we were initially told that we would be refunded no problem (by Phil’s business partner). My husband emailed Phil questioning the fee after being told there wouldn’t be one, and never got a response. My husband then decided to call Phil and Phil was immediately combative when he answered the phone. Long story short, after being sworn at several times, Phil hung up the phone on my husband after telling him to “go to hell”. During the phone call, Phil also threatened to keep our entire deposit if we didn’t just accept the fact there was going to be a restocking fee. All we wanted was an explanation on why we were originally told something different. We never raised our voices or got argumentative. Phil was immediately irate and irritated that we were questioning him.We were referred to his business by family and we will NEVER be doing business with them and neither will our family from here on out. I do not recommend this company for the simple fact that the owner is incredibly unprofessional and flat out rude.

Raymond Thibeault: The workers were great. Friendly, hard-working. Didn't let bad weather stop them. The ultimate results are great, but there was a problem. Spartan constructs fencing "following the lay of the land", meaning some sections were several inches higher or lower than others. When I saw this I protested, and they kindly redid the fence so it was even, which was a lot more work for them. I don't remember every being told about the "lay of the land" method when I arranged for the job. Maybe I was told but didn't quite catch on, my hearing isn't as good as it used to be, even with hearing aids. I'm not sure. But be sure you are okay with having an uneven fence before you sign on. I also wasn't told it was a two day procedure, which makes sense, but I know I was not told that.

Worse, I had the owner out twice to carefully understand the shape and spacing of pickets I requested. The owner has a hard time listening or remembering what had been requested. The fence is wrong and he refuses to fix it without an additional 450 dollars. This is at most a 50 ft long, 4 foot high wooden picket fence. It cost me 1500 already! He was rude and hateful on the phone. I recommend getting a different company to install a fence.

Team Manager: Mike did great job surveying the property with us and discussing options before starting the job. He explained all aspects of what he was going to do as our property is not just a nice square lot. Our dog was trained on a radius signal fence but Mike still took the time to make sure the dog was comfortable before he left. All aspects of the installation were professional and look great. If I remove the flags you cannot even tell he was here.

I had an estimate within 2 days and in today's rising costs I found the estimate to be reasonable. Though they are booked months out for jobs, they managed to get my job squeezed in (it wasn't a large job but was extremely important to me as it contained my dogs) within 3 weeks. The fence looks great. My dog still runs into it but this fence is not going anywheres. They did a great job and I would recommend them. Josh Roberds: We had Ludwick Fence come out to our property to put up a vinyl fence, automatic doors, and a separate inner dog fence barrier. Though the overall goal was accomplished we are beginning to see signs that indicate poor execution specificly on our automatic doors. The gate is the central part of the entire system and could barely hold up against the wind. This was all done during the spring/summer of 2020. So, to be experiencing such major issues this early concerns me (This project was far from cheap). We reached out to Ludwick to address this issue and they don't think the poor installation is cause. Im posting the pictures so someone else can be the judge. They were competitive on price compared to the other local quotes we got. Im not the professional here but I sure as heck know this could of been a much better install. Not the right bolts to begin with.Update: Ludwick eventually came around and got back to us with a solution. They had come out to our property and installed the proper hardware to address the issue we were having above.
