Mary Skelton: I need to find some bricks to repair my home. Someone drove into my house and damaged the corner bricks.I was referred to Young brothers to find the bricks I needed . My home is 70 years old so I knew it might be a challenge.What a wonderful place they have a whole lot more than bricks. I was successful in finding a book that would match my home. Needless to say I was very happy. The prices were fair, no gougingI also needed to order a new Keystone for my fireplace.Eric was instrumental in having the vendor they work with get my order done so quickly. He called me early Saturday morning to let me know my order was ready.It was a week early!!!!! This allowed me to could come and pick it up.Now I’ll have the Keystone when my Mason comes to do the rest of the work. That simple , courteous and thoughtful phone call has saved me the several hundred dollars for an extra trip and charge from my Mason who would’ve had to come back again just to do the Keystone.It’s one of life’s simple pleasure to work with somebody who is excellent at what they do, who cares about their product and the people they’re working with.What a wonderfully human experience to work with the staff at Young Brothers in Lansing.Please make time to you walk through their store, they have amazing items that will bring you joy!Thanks for taking the time to read this review.

First I was sent to someone over to the front desk where there was an employee that was too busy on the computer so I decided to pet the store cat until another associate named Ralph came over and talked to my wife and I. Was eventually asked to seek someplace that can look and inspect the gas fire place because, there wasn’t much more they could do at that point. Isn’t this fireplace/masonry place suppose be the experts in helping to find the best solution? My business will be going elsewhere.

Shawn DeMay: I love this place. Friendly, helpful staff. This is the only place I buy pellets for my smoker. They also have a great selection of rubs and sauces for your next cook. A ton of accessories as well.
Jonathan Bartosiewicz: Super friendly staff and owner. The Lakeside team helped me with gathering all the parts for my woodstove install and even overnight shipped me a part they didn't have in stock. I would definitely recommend working with this company and will do business with them again.

We had a Jotul wood stove installed by Brian and his team.From our initial visit to the showroom my wife and I were impressed with the service, knowledge and all around friendliness that was offered to us. Sometimes when you visit a specialty store like this and you don’t know much about the product you can be taken advantage of. I felt the exact opposite at Lakeside. Brian took the time to explain everything we needed to know about heating with a wood stove. Then walked us through our options, scheduled a visit to our house, and provided a thorough written estimate/ quote.The install crew did not leave a trace of dust or debris in our living room. The put drop cloths on everything and protected anything of concern.Clearly I am an extremely satisfied customer of the product and services that Lakeside Fire offers. I will be recommending them to anyone who listens and I hope you do to.

Enough cannot be said about Ray and the high quality service that he and his staff provides.When you purchase a high end grill you expect everything to work perfectly. Life has taught me that is not the case. About 18 months ago, I purchased a Memphis Grill (best grill I have ever owned and likely will ever own). It is well worth the money. I swear the food turns out with better quality than the restaurants.After about 18 months, the grill stopped working. At first I thought it was a fuse that was blown. Not being a technical person, when I called them on a Saturday, none the less, they helped me find where the fuse was at and replace the fuse. After that didn't fix the problem, I knew it was something more involved.Ray first thing on Monday morning called Memphis because they were not sure what was causing the grill to short circuit and blow the fuse. Ray immediately set up a time with me to come Saturday almost 200 miles away to service the Grill he sold me and stood behind it. Through Memphis, they replaced the Igniter, circuit board, and augur motor.If I would have purchased this grill online / through someone other than Ray, I would have been standing on my wits end to try and fix it. I am just so thankful that I chose him to buy my grill through. If I ever purchase another Grill, I know where I will be going - Lakeside Fire & Grill.

Chris Ebaugh: We have no technician help with installing a blower and help with the pilot keeps going out. They referred us to a technician. We have been going back and forth via text since Dec 10th . Still do not have date or time to come and service the gas insert and add a blower. This us very poor customer service and would have been nice to have with this last storm.

Someone was sick and they were behind but they wouldn’t forget me.…They forgot me - I called again in August - took them awhile to find my job. Scheduled for 8/25.8/25 No show.I Called them again — they rescheduled for 8/30When they got here and went up to the chimney, they had the wrong size and couldn’t do the job. Instead, he drilled a couple new holes in the damper in the fireplace to let more air out. they did the best they could but not what my contract was for.Said accounting would call me and send me an adjustment to the amount I had paid them.No one called.10/20. I went out to MacDowells. Explained the whole situation again… but they couldn’t do anything as the owner wasn’t there. So… No answer as the owner wasn’t in and they would have him call me.Now it is Nov 16, 2022. Still no call or remittance from them.

Robin Chadwick: Went to Tractor Supply for baby chicks. Gentleman was very informative polite and friendly guiding my buying. Got 4 beautiful chicks (2 Australorp’s and 2 Welsummers): they are healthy, growing like crazy and cute as heck. Very pleased with the help and service.

On Sunday there was a down pour and are pump outside that keeps are backdoor from flooding got clogged and before i knew it I was in a lot of water and needed to buy a backup pump like yesterday. So I flew over to the Grand River TSC and got a pump.....I was very rude to the cashier mainly because I was completely soaked after laying in the rain trying to get are pump unclogged and I didn't want to wait on the customer in front of me but the young gentleman at the cash register was super nice and remained calm like a perfect gentleman. Next time I'm not in a hurry I'm tipping this guy he was the best cashier you could have and TSC you should give that guy a raise.

Than i had to go waste more of my time going to another store. Wasted half a day of time because their tool was junk and they wouldn't replace it.

Bethany Horton: Menards has everything I need for projects so I have shopped there for years. Lately staff have become less helpful or pleasant. Yesterday one was actually rude on a return and nothing was out of order. I have only visited this Menards so cant speak for other stores and I rarely ask for assistance but if I do Id like to be treated pleasantly.
John Kinsora: After I spent 10 minutes looking for an item to no avail I decided to find an employee for some assistance. I came across a group of four employees having a rather inappropriate conversation and politely asked if they could point me in the right direction. Three of them we’re clueless but the fourth who was as pleasant as a rattlesnake simply pointed down an isle saying go that way it should be by the end then turned and continued with their conversation. I was a slightly annoyed by the lack of customer service but it was the last item I needed so I went to checkout. I purchased around $600 worth of building supplies and as I was leaving the store asset protection stopped me and accused me of stealing a $12 dollar pair of reading glasses I’d been using to read labels since I had forgotten mine. I understand this is their job and as a former police officer I’ve handled plenty of calls for retail theft and if he had conducted himself properly it wouldn’t have been an issue. But instead he decided to be rude, arrogant and condescending letting his little plastic asset protection id inflate his ego. After a brief argument that continued even after I made it obviously clear I hadn’t taken anything he finally realized it was time to shut his mouth and walk away, I was so annoyed by the overall experience I nearly returned everything and wish I had.

Will Simon: It is my unfortunate duty to report that the warranties offered by this establishment are a clear and blatant case of deceptive marketing. Regrettably, the product I purchased was found to be defective due to a manufacturing issue, rendering it inoperable. Despite having purchased a warranty, the establishment in question refused to honor their commitment and provide the necessary recourse, citing the unavailability of the product in question.This grossly unfair treatment was not a one-off occurrence, as a subsequent purchase of a chainsaw also proved to be similarly problematic. In this instance, the chainsaw failed to start even after an employee's intervention, yet the establishment was once again reluctant to provide the promised refund. It was only through persistent and arduous negotiation that I was able to secure the due compensation for both incidents.It is deeply concerning that the establishment's business practices have led to such distressing outcomes, which can only be described as a form of daylight robbery. However, as a tenacious and determined individual, I remained resolute in my pursuit of justice, and was able to reclaim what was rightfully mine.
