William Selleck: Although considered a quaint view of history, I found this tower lacking. Most of the hardware was stripped off years ago making sand, water, and coal nearly unavailable at this location for my locomotive tenders. Phone calls for complaints were laughed off as I was told I was about 70 years too late. Fine, I'll steam up to the other one on the north side of town on the Michigan Central. Perhaps the Pere Marquette tower nearby will be open.
