Moose Creek Sports: what do users think?
Travis Conti-Michigan Realtor: We have had several firearms shipped to Moose Creek! They have a great, knowledgeable, friendly crew of people! I highly recommend them!
Jeremy B: 👎
Jordan Grossman: Garbage service. Rude. No inventory.
Ken Spurbeck: I had 2 pistols sent to Moose creek. I have never had my paperwork processed so fast, did the paperwork in and out. I will be using them again.
Mark Ziegler: Great people to work with and the process was the smoothest when compared to my past ffl transfers. I won't go anywhere else, these guys are the most affordable and the best in Lansing
Aaron Hollingsworth: My perfurred place to shop better prices than most great ffl dealer fees if you like to shop online
Ron Shafer: Found and purchased a 9mm and a 12 gauge pump shotgun for home defense for 360.00 for both !!
Todd Lebedin (Sickwell): I have had a couple guns I bought online transferred here now. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the transfer rate is pretty low compared to other FFL.
Jessica Stockenauer: Went in today and was treated great. got a nice gun for a good deal and was overall happy with the experience thanks moose creek keep up the good work!! Making improvements!
Omar Karim: dont go here, firearms are serious business and these people do not conduct themselves seriously. Rather they are very unprofessional and will not only give you a headache but their lack of professionalism will definitely lead to illegal activity. AVOID
Jessica Lynne: Went to purchase a gun and staff was very rude from the start. They let me pay for my gun and waited for me to get finished with paper work to be told they wouldnt sell me a gun since i work at a marijuana facility.. Got everything corrected and went through with the sale and at that point they decide to tell me they cant release my gun to me due to THEM not checking my id until after everything was done and AFTER my ffl went through EVERY step was done wrong on their behalf... VERY UNPROFFESIONAL
michael kelly: Had a great buying experience. Staff was very helpful and patient with my wife who bought her first gun today. Thank you for the time and help.
david barron: Found staff very helpful selection is not the biggest but if you check online prices for the same guns they carry you will find their prices are very competitive went for one gun ended up with two
Robert Clark: Horrible place
Andrew Drust: Used to use these guys to process transfers since they charged the lowest transfer rates in the area. As a gun shop, they're nothing special, a small selection and average to high prices. Their store policy of having the FFL where the firearm is coming from contact them first has proved a little inconvenient at times and has led to miscommunications that puts me as the buyer in an awkward middle position, especially when store policies conflict. But because it was cheap and convenient, I was okay putting up with it for a time.I had a sketchy experience a couple months ago when I had a complete AR lower shipped to them. I got it home to discover that the bolt catch was broken. This happens when it is rattled repeatedly, either from shipping, or letting the hammer repeatedly fall and strike the lower. Since they didn't give me the box that it was supposed to come in, I had no way of knowing whether it was in fact damaged during shipping or if they were playing around with the trigger in the back. Since I was swapping the bolt catch out anyway, I decided to give all parties involved the benefit of the doubt and not raise the issue. But my latest interaction with them has put to rest any will to deal with them again. I recently sold a firearm over GunBroker and was trying to have it shipped to an FFL. I reached out to them before it sold and asked them how much it would be to ship a firearm to another FFL through them. They replied "$25". Fine, reasonable. I took the firearm there once it sold, but the clerk acted in an extremely rude manner and gave me a runaround. He said he couldn't ship it that day, but he would start the paperwork, then he didn't have time to do the paperwork, then he wouldn't ship it until Monday, then he called someone over to start the paperwork, but then he didn't want to handle it that day, back and forth. Also, they neglected to tell me before, that $25 to "ship" was actually just their charge to handle the paperwork and that I would still have to pay for shipping, which they neglected to tell me before. He ended our interaction by telling me it would be simpler for me to drive it to the receiving FFL in Ohio myself. Since it's apparently not worth their time or money for me to do business there, then I will no longer waste my time or money there. It's well worth the extra charge to go through another dealer who isn't going to play games with me or play around with the stuff that I get in.
Lee Charles: I ordered a shotgun through them, the process was smooth and their FFL fee was reasonable.I also got some used tools from the store side, got a good price and they made sure everything I bought was in working order.
Jack Harb: Will not be going here. I called with some simple questions and the man that answered the phone was incredibly curt to the point of being rude.Hey, you want business? Don't treat people that have questions like the are dirt. Simple. Remember, you exist because of us, not the other way around.
Joshua Haneline: Shouldn't advertise as an archery shop. Only thing they have for archery is 10 year old bows hanging from the ceiling. Gun selection seems small, but alright for such a small place. If your looking for archery stuff don't bother coming.

Range 517: what do users think?
Keith R: Very welcoming, knowledgeable, and polite staff. Obviously it's a short 25yd range but it's well maintained and clean. Really enjoyed myself and prices are reasonable.
Angelina Rivera: Went a couple of months ago after the mass shooting to reaffirm a positive relationship to guns and gunfire. Was met with an incredibly condescending man who only spoke to my partner, ridiculed my rifle choice (scoffing with a laugh, asking “you really want to shoot *that?*” because I didn’t want a higher-powered rifle— the rifle I chose is similar to one my family owns at home) and gave us a “date night” target to shoot instead of a normal target (because women wouldn’t know how to shoot at something if it wasn’t labeled shopping, amiright fellas?). All around a humiliating experience, I wish I got the name of the man who helped us so I could tell the staff how patronizing he was.
Justin Garcia: Membership is pretty good.
Dominic Fuller: Me personally, I don't like being bothered by sales people so I like the fact I can come in, look for what I need and leave without being harassed, but I feel with customers less experienced and or comfort with firearms , this could turn away customers. For me, it's all about it's location here on the west side it' s worth paying a little extra here than driving elsewhere like Mason or to Rose Lake. Ammo and firearms pricing is a little steep but nothing drastic.
Hisham Shehata: Strictest range ever!Very toxic environment. Was yelled at by the store employee nick for having my shotgun leaning while pointed at an angle towards the range and having "too many firearms"He was extremely aggressive over rules that are allowed by almost every other range. It's honestly not a fun experience at all, I'd recommend shooting on public land or somewhere else
John Doe: good
Michael Kehrig: Went to the range with a couple of my buddies and rented two rifles. Employees were friendly and gave us great insight and information. Highly recommend.
Ted Gates: First time client. Friendly staff. Very clean. Competently price.
Caleb Smith: Nice range, decent ammo prices, lots to choose from
Tyler Warner: Most overpriced stuff I've seen what a joke
Stephen Cook: Just bought a used gun from them. It was an nice FN15 with a red dot. Asked if they had the tool to help me sight the weapon in. Once they realize that the sight was broken they replaced it. No questions asked I will be going here from now on. Great service and and Honest people. Weapons are expensive no matter were you go but good honest people are hard to fined.
Marcus Faubus: Great knowledgeable staff, awesome selection, always clean ! I've made probably ten purchases there and doesn't look like I'll go anywhere else for the foreseeable future!
S J Miller: Visited to chk out new gun range and firearm store. Was especially curious due to many neg reviews. The sales area is large and clean. Restrooms were clean. Firearms and ammo supplies are modest; but reasonably adequate. Especially in the current climate of extreme demand for products. I was greeted rite away. And was offered help as I looked around. The range is 25 yrds. Was told rifles can be used. Not very busy in a mid-afternoon. There were a few shooters at $20/hr. Chkd some prices. Saw some Colt AR15 rifles at abt $1,000. Saw some Hornady 9mm critical duty self-defense ammo for abt $43. So abt $2 plus per round. I haven't bought any sd ammo for abt 2 yrs. Buy on sale and stock up. I think sd 9mm ammo is normally abt $1.25 to 1.50. Chkd online with several of my suppliers. Many were sold out. I found 1 supplier of Hornady critical duty for abt $1.40/round plus shipping. I normally buy practice 9mm for abt $.20/round. I can't find any. But have stocked up before pandemic. I bought an American made hunting rifle recently from Idaho. I could not find it anywhere else. I paid abt 20% more than pricing from earlier in the yr. The rifle had been reasonably available b4 pandemic. Nat'l demand has caused shortages of ammo and firearms. Ppl are concerned for their safety. Self-defense ammo is probably impossible to find in Seattle, Portland, and Milwaukee.UpDate Sept 1, 2020. Shooting range fee is $20/half hr; $30/hrUpDate Aug 8, 2021. Dropped in looking for rifle hunting & practice ammo. There was a fairly good selection in these times of shortage. Want to get correct hunting ammo for fall season. Doesn't look like prices or availability will improve soon. They had some pistol self-defense & practice ammo. I don't need it. The rifle cartridges I wanted weren't in stock.Update Jan '23. Went for shooting range. The pricing was prorated after the 1st half hr. Which helps. The range wrkr was pleasant and helpful. There are two sections. Only one was open. Not busy on a wkday. The target hangars are fairly wide cardboard. Don't really wrk well with a standard target of maybe 11" by 14". Take some tape. There are wall and floor distance markers out to 10 yds. After that, you have to guess. The shooting booths are narrow. Workable, but narrow. The whole place was clean; including the restrooms. Fairly good ammo selection. Prices still high. Was able to shoot rapidly. It's okay if you're under control.
Neil Baker: Bought a scar 17 for nearly $4000 after tax after getting it home I noticed it was covered in rust. This store has a great selection but maybe if a rifle is on the wall for 6 months with everyone coming in and manhandling it. Put some oil on it and wipe her down, I called them to notify them about it and they act as if it’s not a big deal.
B Gz: A good friend recommended I shop here due to the customer service, range etc. I did not receive the same experience he described. Spent 15 - 20 min walking back & forth (store is not big) and was NEVER even acknowledged. Took my money elsewhere. Disappointing!
Chris Cusack: I did my once in a lifetime Gun purchase through them. I could not have asked for better service or pricing. Professional all the way.
Jeffrey Baker: Shane was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Will go back.
Steve: Usually a top-notch range but I would STRONGLY advise you to NOT have a FFL transfer done here. Here’s why…1. Unable to find a cost on their website or other FFL sites/links. It’s $65.2. Received FedEx notification that it had been delivered. So, I drove 20 minutes to the place. The box is just leaning against a wall and the two employees are just joking and smoking. I was told “our system crashed” and “we just got it earlier today.” Told me to come back. I was obviously upset but just bit my lip and said “Ok, thank you.” Only after I talked to them did they bother to move it to a locked room just down the main thoroughfare.3. Came back, filled out paperwork, and without so much of a “sorry for the inconvenience from yesterday” or similar, was subsequently charged the outrageous $65. Too late at this point (probably why they don’t advertise this fee.)I had used the range somewhat often but no more. The DNR range at Rose Lake is FREE and you have more options. Also, there are cheaper FFL fees at other nearby gun shops.
Brandon Mann: I called and asked if they buy a certain model of a handgun and they said they do. Just to drive out there so they can say that model doesn’t have resale value. Way to waste peoples time
Charles Nellis: Helpful and friendly
Damien Pham: Austin did a great job with instruction, knew all the answers to my questions.

Not Just Guns: what do users think?
Liam McKeown: The best gun shop in the greater Lansing area by far! One thing that makes this place stands out is the sheer knowledge of their staff on firearms and shooting. If you want to get into shooting or if you are far into it like me, definitely come to Not Just Guns, you won’t be disappointed.
Chris Camp: Let me start by saying that I have bought many guns at auction from not just guns and had no problems. But the last time has been a nightmare. I won a desert eagle 50ae at there december auction of last year, and was called the next day by duke to tell me that someone had made a mistake and that they didn't have the gun. But they would order me one and as soon as it comes in they would call me. Fast forward to March and no calls from them ever, only me calling to bother them and see if they have anything remotely close as long as it is 50 ae caliber. The answer is always no even though they sold one in the march auction. Then in May i see they have one listed in stock but was told that its a more expensive gun and that they could not sell me that one at the auction price. I think you should have to make it right for the customer when you make a mistake like that. Anyways i will not be doing anymore business with not just guns.
Brandon Bernheisel: I have been in this store a bunch of times buying ammo, knives, all kinds of accessories and every experience has been amazing! The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, attentive and just easy to talk to! They give advice without pushing things on you and truly try to find the best product for you! Because of all these experiences while looking for a new gun for my wife we went in and true to form, the experience was fantastic! Thank you for providing a great atmosphere and another great purchasing experience! Customers for life!
Jim Carter: The most knowledgeable sales staff in the industry and competitive pricing on consignment items. Their willingness to take the time to make sure I get the right product for the right application ,means a lot to me. They keep it real ,and I can appreciate that.
Ron Darling: Great guys. Very helpful and willing to spend as much time as you need for individual service. The people that work there are enthusiastic and Knowledgeable and willing to take the time to educate you as to what your best options are. Not the cheapest place but you get what you pay for.
Mike Michalak: One of the best stores I've ever been toThe customer service is excellent, the selection is great, and the staff are friendly, eager to help, and knowledgeableOn top of that, the items I looked at and bought were really competitively pricedHighly recommend this place
Jeremy Milam: Very friendly and knowledgeable staff! I’ve been shopping here for many years, and they are hands-down, my favorite gun store… My wife doesn’t necessarily feel the same way, because my wallet is usually a bit lighter when I come out of there, but these guys are the best in the business!
Brock Lorenz: First time to this shop and I was impressed. The selection, the prices, and the staff all outstanding. I’ll be back for sure. My new favorite gun shop.
Jeff Johnston: went in to get some ammo, they had 30 carbine that total firearms said you can't get, and just to top it off today I went to get some 303 brit rounds and again they take the cake total firearms has Remington 303 20round case for 70$ and not just guns has the same exact thing for 53$. now when your dealing with bidenflation it don't take a mathematical genius to figure out where I'm going to spend my money.
Ryan Tgiros: I buy not just guns here, but accessories as well.
Shari Sprouse: Excellent customer service. This is the second gun I have purchased from them. I'm a very satisfied customer. Dave and John were great to work with. They kept me informed about my order and both of them let me know when it came in. I highly recommend this place.
Mike Barnes: They wouldn't sell me a gun for what they had it advertised on there website. So much for being the good guys in the gun business. What a joke!
Randy Glasgow: Thanks ryan for ordering my spare clip, getting it right and calling me personally to let me know it was in.above and beyond
Jesse King: Walked into this store as a newbie shooter who had attempted to do his own research as much as possible. Stan went above and beyond to show and explain basics from behind the counter and use those fundamentals as reasons why the firearm I was set on was not the most practical choice for me and my situation. His other employees and friends hanging around the shop also chimed in and really made me feel welcomed even though I was just getting started and not 100% sure what I was looking for. This place has just about any firearm you could possible hope to hold/handle in person stocked up, so he pulled several of his recommendations for me out and let me take my time feeling them out. I walked out with my first-ever gun purchase feeling like he definitely corrected me in the right direction, and understanding why.Prices on every weapon were also cheaper than any other seller online or in the area (or directly in-line competitive), and I never felt pushed to buy anything on the spot. You can tell the people working here are passionate, and just want to help you find the thing that suits you best, even if you’re not really sure yourself.Would recommend this shop to anyone and plan to make some more stops myself sometime in the future. If Stan and crew sees this, thanks again for your time, helpful tips and impromtu training session 🤣 I’ll make sure to stop in and buy some more ammo once I get my CPL :)Edit: Stopped in a few days later for their Black Friday sale and ended up running into Stan again, who remembered me. After some more unprompted tutorials of holster selection, optics and light attachment options, I purchased a Holosun optic and Streamlight flashlight attachment. Both of these were priced significantly lower in store than any other online or local retailer I could find.Consistently good customer service, knowledge, experience-based suggestions, and the most competitive and/or lowest prices around. No complaints, will definitely be back again.
Matthew Brennan: Just had yet another great experience at Not Just Guns! Mike and his team take great care of me every time I come in the shop. I enjoy hanging out and chatting with all the guys. Its alway fun to think up the next new gun to hit my collection. Great little shop with giant inventory.
Officer Paw Patrol: Awesome staff that’s always friendly and courteous. Even when the store is swamped with people, their staff is attentive and gives you whatever attention you need. Great selection of guns for being a smaller store (physical size wise). Prices are always reasonable and they always have a good selection of ammunition. I’m not a “knife guy”, but they have a good selection of tactical/duty knives as well. I use them mainly for FFL transfers and it’s always a smooth process with reasonable transfer fees.always recommend NJG when someone needs a gun store. Shop local.
Logan Davis: Easily the best gun store between lansing and Jackson. Most likely also the best in Michigan. Best prices on ammunition by far! Staff know what they're doing and offer great advice on pretty much anything you could ask them gun/ammo related. Owner is a great guy aswell couldn't ask for a better gun store in my area. Exclusively buy ammunition, magazines, and optics here. Brought alot of friends and family there and will continue to do so because I've never had a negative experience inside of this store and neither has anyone I have introduced to the store. Highly recommend.
Jacob Johnson: They have this employee up there I don't know his name, but he has short brown hair glasses he is about 5'11" has a bowl cut he's about 35ish and is extremely rude and sarcastic. Every time I call or go in if I have to deal with him it's a unpleasant experience. My wife came in with me one day and the first thing she said when we got to the truck was wow that guy was really rude. Ok prices not great, terrible service. if you get this guy just leave.
Jacob Chmiel: Best pricing. Guys who answer the phone are confident and nice.
Chad Lyke: Best ammo prices around on most things. Guns are marked up a bit compared to other stores in the area. A few employees are down to earth everyday gun people, some of them go off on tangents over things that should be left up to lawyers to advise on but that’s your normal gun shop. Mike is very helpful!
Roccodog: Great store. If you want above and beyond service this is your store. These guys know there guns inside and out.
