RISE Recovery Community: what do users think?
Aubrey: I was a member in 2017 and became staff until 2019 when I relapsed. The only substantial clean time I've ever had was when i was a part of this community. After about a 3yr relapse I was fortunate to be welcomed back as a member in October 2022. I continue to work on my anger issues, codependency and trauma that keeps me sick and takes me back out. My current goal is to get my job back at RISE so that I can help fellow addicts and give back to the community that keeps me sober. I believe that everything happens for a reason, and if it's meant to be it will be. RISE has always allowed me to be exactly who I am. I am forever grateful.
Savannah Gosselin: LOTS OF STEALING WITHIN THE HOUSES , AND NOTHING IS DONE ABOUT IT . I picked up my things recently and over 50% of my things are gone, AGAIN! The only staff member that is reliable & get things done is Mike Dunn . If you got there , he is a very supportive person to talk too . I, myself will never step foot their again due to the thievery . My daughters presents for her birthday were stolen along with my laptop and a whole bunch of things , but there's "nothing" they can do *
Dan Slater: I was a member for 14 months. It's a healing center, not just a place to learn how to live without drugs although it did help me learn how to live a life worth living and so much more. I was broken when I got to Rise, I was on the brink of suicide and I had just lost my father. I was in psychosis for a few months after I was here. Corey Warren is a true hero for so many things and I love that man for what he has created and he couldn't have done it without his mom Jacque, she is so awesome! If you know anyone who needs healing from the wrath of addiction, send them to Rise and tell them love sent you. The staff are all hero's, and I will always be indebted to Rise for everything they have helped me accomplish. I work at Rise now and I have never loved life the way I do now. Thank you RRC! ❤️
B Williams: Great staff very helpful.Megan, Fred,Nate, and Adam are awesome.
Alec Dutton: Rise is a community based on recovery. They help to establish routine and offer a peer support system that has helped many to build a healthy foundation in their lives. Rise is for those who are seeking sobriety, as well as re-entry back into the community. Daily meetings, Helpful resources, and good staff!
Alisha Mendoza: The recovery community not in rise is only welcome for meetings. The only class provided is a life skills on Tuesday. I am grateful to be in the program. But i do feel like the website should present the correct facts.
Kayla Williams: Even though on their website it says that RISE is open 24/7 for people in recovery and that the clubhouse is a place for them to hangout it's a lie. Unless you are a member or graduate their visiting hours are a half hour before and after meetings. You'd be more welcomed and safer going to either the alano east or west club.
Jeffrey Oliver: Best place and support for recovery in lansing!
Kathy Tetzlaff: 2nd grade school yard b.s. .
Donna Bishop: ....had a bad experience. A fellow relapsed, bad, and those in charge HANDED HIM his CAR KEYS when evicting him. Fellow got into three (THREE) accidents with his vehicle shortly after. Fortunately, by the Grace of God, no one was injured. Eviction is understandable. But giving an actively drugged up person keys to a vehicle?
Kevin Spinner: A place of comfort while in recovery
Nathan Popa: Rise is a good place if you think you can have a perfect wonderful life after.. Adam a PRC is Happy there but he's is Corys Boy
Michael D. Picciano: I don't hate the place. I feel this is a tool for people to use in recovery. I have seen that this facility doesn't prepare the addict for life after the program. There is a higher mortality rate than in similar programs. It is more like a frat house than a recovery house.
Christopher Gray: Rise provides transitional housing for people in early recovery. Although they cater more to the 'younger crowd', people of all ages can take advantage of their services. Although you have more freedoms than a traditional halfway-house, they run a relatively strict program, which is necessary for those truly seeking long-term recovery. Meetings are offered here on a regular basis. Rise taught me that there are fun things to do in recovery; it doesn't need to be boring. If you are looking for a stable lifestyle and are serious about recovery, then this is the place to go.
laura hayes: My son attended this program after being an active user for 10 years. This was the program he needed. They taught him so many things here. It was the first time I had watched my son having FUN! It is important to have a large support of different people in recovery and they have this here. I would recommend this program to anyone who wants the tools to be sober.
Painless Nate: There is no better program in Michigan for help with transitioning from drug addict to sober productive member of society period.
Joshua Corts: Without RISE and the people there, I would not be the man that I am today!! I am so grateful for the opportunities that RISE has given me... I am Forever Blessed!!
