I dont really like school but when i started in the 8th grade and ended in the 9th i actually loved going to school, everyday i was just so happy and ready to go to school. i currently go to Everett high school and i would give anything to be a big red again. Sadie Smith: The school itself is not bad it's the people. Lazy unmotivated staff, uneducated students, and little to no help with school work or tutoring sessions. I would never suggest this school unless you want your child to learn how to go to prison. The only hope you get out of this place is if you surpass the others and test out early.
Tristian Lynn Spear: Worst school ever in my opinion. I had so many problems and I would report them and they would continues to happen. I was threatened by students and when I told a principal or someone they wouldnt do anything about it. The security guards are aweful! I was walking down the hall and there were three security cards around and there was a guy and girl making out during class in the hallway. The security guards acted like friends to the students rather then someone who was there to protect them, the school, or even protect other people from them. I Don't recommend this school to anyone what's so ever! They said they would keep the 7-8th graders seperated form the rest of he students but they put the lower grades all the way on the top floor where we had to go past all the other levels of older students to get to the lunch room? How is that seperating them from the others? Another thing that is stupid is kids would go by cussing and the adults wouldn't say anything. Some of the teachers cussed also. Not a good example.

Kasandra Stadel: It's not clean at all, dress codes are bias, foods almost always cold and you occasionally find an insect in them, most of the vending machines have pop with aspartame(cancer properties) in them, the substitutes get in fights with the students, at least four windows are broken every school year from a student punching or kicking them, and Some of the teachers like to fail students because of ridiculous reasons,but hey most of the teachers are good.

Manar: i am a East Lansing High School student and honestly the work there is just too much. two students already committed suicide in one year. The high school would be so much better if there was easier tests and less work. we are trying to make the best out of our childhood's before we become adults, but the high school is stopping that from happening.

Michael Guizar: I dont understand how expel the boys for standing up against something wrong is okay. Especially as a catholic institution. jico448: The curriculum is intense and for above average students, a good place to get a good looking resume. The only and biggest downside is the environment. The people that go there breed bad behavior and habits such as drinking and drugs.
Ross Porter: Our oldest child is a student at Lansing Catholic and we will be sending our second child there next year. We have found the faculty and staff to be caring, hard-working and very helpful. Despite our kids being home-schooled through the eighth grade, my son has been welcomed and readily accepted by teachers and students alike. The school maintains a strong Catholic identity but is accommodating to non-Catholic students as well. We find the curriculum to be rigorous and challenging and a good preparation for students intending to pursue a college education. Overall, my son has had a great experience at Lansing Catholic and we believe we are getting an excellent return on our investment in his education.

Destany Gryka: As a student who had to transfer to Lansing from Allendale due to homelessness, Waverly High School was the worst choice I could’ve ever made. I’m unsure if it’s because of how big the student body is but the faculty couldn’t care less about the students. I’ve had nothing but issues with Waverly. They’ve made up random transcript information with such low scores (gpa was below a 2.8 even though it’s actually never been below a 3.0) and no SAT score that I still had to pay for and risked me not getting accepted into college. Due to more personal issues relating to homelessness I again moved but I finished early in February and they refused to work with me and send my cap and gown. So I had to take a 2 hour trip to Lansing with them stating they had no tickets to then me finding out 3 days later they did have tickets that were REQUIRED for family to be able to attend the graduation. There is no family or sense of community at Waverly High School and any student who has any sort of struggle mentally, physically, anything, I recommend going to any other school that would actually care for their well being.

Parent..sorry that I don't sound professional enough to be a parent 😑.. then she called me back to see if it was really me and try to say my daughter called her absent in..
Holly Aseltine: I love wav schools!! Whoever that lady is that deals with attendance at the high school and answers the phone is a total jerk when you call... Shes very rude and not friendly AT ALL, has a terrible attitude anytime I've spoken to her.. Unacceptable!!

Mark Ganser: Substitute teacher,I substituted for Mrs. Ried, and was very least at first. I took a two day assignment and had no idea this was a school for the mentally handicapped. Immediately when I walked into the building, I was welcomed with a very friendly staff who was very willing to accommodate me and provide me with anything I needed. During my two day stint, I really enjoyed working there. It had its challenges, however, what job doesn't?! I felt that this assignment was challenging and rewarding. For me personally, I felt this was a berthed experience than a typical day in a Lansing school.Overall, my experience was great and I would go back in a heartbeat. Great staff who work together. I rate the experience as a five star because of the warm friendly, accommodating atmosphere
