Red Wagon Thrift: Toured the residence today. Met with the medical director. The gardens and grounds are tranquil and beautiful.

Reg Smith: Stoneleigh Residence is an excellent place for a loved one going through an end of life experience. All of the staff provided a very caring attitude while providing for my mother. The residence is very comfortable and provides a very homey environment. I would strongly recommend Stoneleigh Residence and would not change anything.

Volunteer shifts were well organized, staff was courteous and accessible and there was plenty of nourishment provided throughout the day. Way to get it right the first time.

Kathy Smith: We just recently lost our Mom Alice. She spent the last almost 2 months here at Stoneleigh, I couldn’t recommend a more kind and loving place to help finish your loved ones life. They made Mom feel like she was the most important person in the world. ❤️ She was for us ! Mom looked so much better than she had in years. ..because she was HAPPY. Mom loved the back in the woods feel. All the wildlife that visits all the patients and visitors love it.

Evan Suits: Hospice of Lansing Stoneleigh took wonderful care of my father throughout his final days. The building is accessible, the surround is quiet and peaceful and the staff is both competent and attentive. I consider us very lucky to have had such a facility available when we most needed it.
Jessica Simon: I cannot give a review based on receiving services but I can say that they treat employees horribly. I did not work for this company but someone close to me did and this person was let go for NO REASON. After allowing this employee vacation time and giving words of praise, they fired her upon her return from vacation and could only give a blanket reason for her firing. Really dirty thing to do Hospice of Lansing.

Kristyn Carter: If I could give a million stars, I'd still be clicking. The entire staff here is absolutely phenomenal. A doctor that will actually take time when it isn't scheduled to come and talk with concerned family and patient. Therapists and social workers who explain things and guide you through the hospice process. Nurses and techs who gently care for not only the patient, but the family members as well. Our mother passed after a week of being in Hospice house, after being hospitalized in multiple hospitals for 5 months and she had the best care that she ever had. They gave us a glimpse of the "mom" we hadn't seen. We are from 3 hours south of Sparrow and I would rather make the commute than utilize care around here.
Erin Conley: My 97 year old grandmother passed here over the weekend and my family could not be more thankful for the care provided. She was so incredibly peaceful and comfortable, they bathed her every day, and for us, as we’ve never had a hospice experience before, the staff was so helpful in explaining every single step of the process. After a few stressful days in the hospital, words can’t explain how much better our experience with hospice was. I will never forget the quality of care these angels provided my grandmother in her last week of life.
Jadion Range: DO NOT send your love one here! Take them home where they can spend their last days with some dignity. From walking and talking to dead in less than 24. Sedated around the clock from within hours of arrival and hadn't needed sedation at the hospital prior. Take them home...this is the most dark, depressing, dated place with staff who only wants to see them "comfortable" (sedated). I am also a Sparrow employee so that should speak volumes.

Elizabeth Fernandes: It's a truly beautiful place, with an amazing aura. The Sisters are sweet and welcoming. There are three aspects to the House, the museum, her room and her tomb. The museum will actually give you chills, it's preserved beautifully, and really captures the essence of what Mother Theresa's ethereal spirit was and will always be. The tomb is very well decorated, and the area is well embellished with paintings. The room of Mother Theresa is perfectly kept and really makes you feel her presence.A must visit in Kolkata!!

Not a one size fits all type of care. The care provided is tailored specific to the patient's needs. Truly a wonderful program that cares about you and your family.

The nurses and staff knew that she loved McDonalds burgers and Sweet Tea, they would bring her that on every visit. They made her feel special and loved. Great team!
Daniel Bargy: Things have certainly changed since 2016 when we had this company for my Dad. Chaplain was right in his home timely to visit and give Dad the level of comfort he needed. I realize COVID may have some bearing on things in early 2021 but Mom came home in mid January 2021 with an expected stay of 24-48 hours. Seemed there was more focus on sending a financial representative out to get paperwork signed than sending a Chaplain to care for our needs. Mom passed in less than a day without ever a Chaplain visit or contact with us. It left a bad impression with my sister and me. Unfortunate things went this way since my 2016 favorable impression of Compassus is no longer favorable. More focus needs to be placed on spiritual needs of the patient and family. Contacting weeks after to see how things are going does absolutely no good. I have rated a two star only because obtaining necessary medical equipment and scheduling the transfer was timely. Even in a COVID era a visit could have been made. Neither Mom nor her family members had COVID and were tested negative.

K R: We hired Compassus for hospice care for my mother that is in residence in a memory care unit. It was made clear to Compassus verbally, and in writing, that all medication needed to be approved by her DPOA before administration. Mom was having some respiratory distress. The RN on duty prescribed an opioid. It is unclear why as the drug is not used to treat respiratory issues and can actually cause more issues. The aide at the memory care noted to the Compassus RN that opioids were contraindicated. The RN prescribed it anyway. Mom was basically unresponsive for the entire following day. Unfortunately it was the day of her (probably last) family Christmas as well as her 91st birthday. Compassus stole that day from our family via sheer ineptitude.

Brad Stamper: Angela and her team were great. Very helpful to me in a stressful situation. I do not hesitate to sound off on the medical community when I feel they deserve it, and Angela’s team was so good I thought it only right to highlight one of the most positive aspects of my mothers illness and recovery. Dripping with answers, knowledge, and expertise. Angela is a great leader and it clearly shows in how her team performs. No one else will be called upon to care for my mother if she needs it. tammy shepherd: Recently signed my mom on hospice with McLarenNot happy at all with the care. I had to call the nurse on a Friday afternoon. She basically told me because it was 4pm and she works until 5pm, my momwould have to wait until Monday. Needless to say, I ended up calling after hours. It took almost 15 minutes for someone to answer the phone. Then they said the nurse would call back . She did. An hour later. And again, was NO HELP.So far, the only bright spots have been her aides t by at come give her a shower.Unless something changes quickly. I will probably be switching to someone else.

Jackie Barry: It's easy to think that you'd want your loved one to spend their last days at home and to die there vs in a hospital or facility. It can be daunting to consider what that really means in terms of the care you need to provide. When we realized that my Dad's next step was hospice, it was easy for us to decide to take him home. Fortunately, Elara Caring was recommended to us for in home hospice care assistance. Within 24 hours, his home was equipped and we had him settled in a hospital bed at home. I honestly don't know how we would have made it through the process without the support of the Elara nurses and aides - each of them was highly professional, knowledgeable, kind - not only to my Dad but to our family as well, and caring. A 5 star rating is inadequate to describe the quality of our experience.

Heather S: Unfortunately we had to use hospice service with my dad... But fortunately we used elara hospice. They made a bad situation tolerable. I am a nurse, so my expectation of hospice was pretty low. We had nurse Jean come to our house.. and he was great. We called him the death whisperer.. he really took time and explained everything that was going on.. he stayed to the very end. Im very greatfull he was our nurse in one of the hardest times of my life.

Fire Cat: This hospice is horrible. Some of the nurses are great, unfortunately it is ran by completely ineptitude. A new nurse makes a claim about a client and it is never even investigated just taken for fact and patient dropped. Never even showed up (i.e. wrong house) saying someone verbally assulted them. The RX company is filled with morons who have handful of broken medicine and throw them in a bottle and ship it off regardless of condition. And get me started on the fact that the RX. Aren't signed for. Just abandoned on your porch and you're the one at fault for anything being missing, regardless of the fact that they don't knock just throw the package on your porch even though they are controlled substances that normally have to show Id for and sign for at the pharmacy. This company should be ashamed of the way they stressed and treated my Patient. Will NEVER recommend them again!
