Fine- I ask him to come by for an estimate and he tries to schedule it for the next week. I ask for the estimate today and he then he tries to provide one over the phone. I refused the service. Local small business or not, terrible time management and customer service. FWIW- Check out Molly Maids and Merry Maids. Their estimates came within $3 of each other on 3200 Sq ft.

S M: I had a move out cleaning done. While they did a great job cleaning up general mess (wiping counters, mopping floors), but they refused to clean anything you might deem as gross. We had some yuck in the sink that was just left there by them and a spot on the floor that was from a picture that had fallen off the fridge and gotten wet and left a brown spot from colors running. I was told that the staff would be at my house between 10:30-11:30. They got there at roughly 11:45 and were both (2 staff members) very friendly, especially the gentleman. I left them to do thier job and they were there till about 3 PM. I figured with that much time and two people, that the place would be sparkling. I wouldn't say that they did a terrible job but I wouldn't say it was excellent either. They really did an awesome job cleaning my hardwood floors and the bathrooms. However, I paid $100 additional to have my fridge cleaned and they 100% didn't clean the freezer or even wipe it down what so ever. I also noted that non of the cupboards in kitchen or restroom were wiped out. I don't know if that is something they DONT do but I don't see why they couldn't just take a cloth and at least get the darn crumbs out for me?? I want to also add for potential customers, is that they won't clean your walls, windows (interior and exterior) or anything high up like a ceiling fan. The place smelled very clean and I felt good allowing my family to move in but I won't be recommending this company to friends or family due to lack of detail and the $100 surcharge for an incomplete service.

Bill Parke: Molly Maids review week of May 9th 2022First, - job performance,I wish to state that on May 9th, we had 3 individuals arrive at our home at 10:00AM and worked until 12:00 noon.  They did a terrific job running the vacuum and dusting our entire house.  A really great job as there was a lot of woodwork and they were a respectful group.Secondly, pricing.- During the week of May 6th, I called Molly Maids of Lansing to request services.  I spoke with a representative named Vanessa.  I requested information on their rates for housekeeping to be done on the 9th of May.  After initial discussion, I noted that I was looking at 2 hours work and was advised that the company could supply 2 workers for $200 with a $40. coupon reduction, so it would seem that 2 workers - 2 hours would cost $240. - 40, or $200. total.  I do have to admit that at the time of the quote, the lady advised that she believed they could complete the job in under 2 hours and I thought she stated that would be around an hour and 40 minutes.   On the morning of May 9th, I again spoke with Vanessa and she said had an additional person that she could supply who wanted to work for $60.and would still include the $40.discount and I agreed to that inclusion, since she expected the workers to finish "early".The 3 party group had a "Lead" who upon arrival advised that they were not expecting to work 2 hours, but for only 1 hour and 20 minutes and that any additional time would cost a little more.  As it was, I agreed to have them work the full 2 hours.When I recieved the charge on my credit account, I was a bit surprised to find that it had rissen to $324 and so I again called "Vanessa".  Her response was that she was not quoting 2 hours work, even though I had said that would be needed, she was quoting only 1hr 20 min. with the reduced $40 coupon.  The breakdown for the bill for 2 hrs work with 3 people, would be  $360. - 40 = $320. and $4 for using a credit card for a total of (Surprise) $324. Anyway, this works out to be $120. per individual per hour before the coupon. When I stated I was a bit surprised by the amount, "Vanessa" stated that she had given me the coupon, but would speak with her leadership and get back with me.  Unfortunately we had no further communication and the rate remained at $160. dollars per hour for the services.AdviceBe sure to obtain the actual time period being provided and the total hourly rate that will be charged before committing to the service, to eliminate surprises and actual time to be received, to reduce confusion and surprise..William ParkeService:Standard cleaning

The appointment time came and went, with no calls, no explanations, no apologies as to why they were late. An hour later I get a call saying they are 20 minutes away. When they arrive, the maids were nice enough, they finish the first floor and ask for me to inspect it to make sure I’m happy. The first thing I see in an air vent cover that has been bent in half, neither one of them tells me about this, so I’m already a little miffed. It’s an easy fix, and so I continue with the rest of the house. In doing so I find hair inside of my shower that they just cleaned, and closets that don’t look like they’ve been touched, so I ask them to go over them again. I’m met with annoyance, but they go over them again. All the while, they are making a racket unmatched on my wooden floors, banging and dropping things as they go. They finish downstairs, but have “run out of time” so they don’t wait for my inspection to make sure I’m satisfied, and they leave. I go around and inspect the downstairs, and the bathroom is horrendous. Not only is the back of the toilet untouched, but the very visibly un-cleaned sides have been left out as well. The vanity was clearly opened and left untouched. I called and left a message requesting that they come back to finish, and I’ve gotten zero response from the company. The clean was fine, however, they went HUNDREDS of dollars over their initial estimate. They noted that others had complained about that particular crew and yet took weeks to follow up with me ( I had to call them several times) and in the end, only offered me a very small discount. They do not explain that their top estimate number is just a ball park and that it can escalate quite a bit (they charged me 500 dollars for a one bedroom house) and it was upsetting to feel that I had no opportunity to consent to that. I suspect because we were the last clean of the day, the crew just ran out the clock so they could charge as many hours as possible, but that's just a guess. Adding this to the stress of moving felt really unnecessary and avoidable. If the problem was with estimating, get better at it. Explain that it could be double the original estimate. If it was with a dishonest crew, take responsibility. Jessica Bouvier: Do not hire this company. I hired them for a deep cleaning of my kitchen for my business on a thursday. They sent two girls to do the job. They were were for almost 2 hours and only cleaned the oven and the microwave. I asked for a deep cleaning of the kitchen. When I scheduled the cleaning, I asked what it entailed. The lady I spoke with said they would clean the windows, all small appliances, the countertops, cupboard doors, scrub and mop the floor and base board. The two ladies that came to do the job didnt even wash the countertops. There was coffee on the counter from when I poured my coffee that morning, still. The floors were not scrubbed. Less than half of the cupboards were wiped down and obviously needed a cleaning. This was a very light cleaning, nothing close to a deep clean.I even called the next morning to complain that the job was not done. I even sent them pictures. The lady that I was speaking too even agreed the job was not done correctly. They said they could come out that day(friday). I told her that I couldnt have them come out that day (friday) because I literally use my kitchen for my business. I had a huge wedding order and multiple other orders to be completed for the next day. That was the end of the emails. She never emailed me back an offer to come out a different day or anthing. Then she told me the best they could do was a 15% off discount for the cleaning. I am furious. They want $150 for cleaning my oven and microwave! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE service. Do not hire this company! If I could add pictures, I would!This was my first time hiring a cleaning company. I wanted a deep clean and then a regular weekly cleaning and they did such a horrible job. How can a cleaning company only clean 1/4 of a kitchen and then expect a customer to pay for the service. This is not what i hired them for. I would have paid for it, if it was done correctly or even close to finished. Even if they would have said something along the lines of "this job is bigger than we anticipated" OR something! But not a word. The cleaning lady asked me if the oven looked good, which is does. But then when it was time for them to leave, they just packed up and said bye. Sharlissa Moore: In summary, this company has issues with inconsistent cleaning quality, inattention to home security, and problems with billing and management. The most egregious issue was that they often failed to lock my front door behind them-- whether someone was home or not. I hired them to clean my house twice per month. I think this company would be fine for a one time or two time cleaning for a house that is dirty, but I would strongly recommend against hiring them for regular maintenance cleaning, given my experience. The company cost me more time and energy than it saved me. Overall, some things would be done very well that I didn't list as a priority, whereas my top priorities (such as vacuuming rugs) were sometimes not done at all or were done poorly. At first, the cleanings were done pretty well, but then the quality started to slip until one day I came home to a house that was not cleaned at all-- the toilets still had a ring around them, the sinks were still dirty, the floors still had lint and dust, and the stove and countertops still had crumbs. They also turned up my thermostat (even though someone was home and they were only there for one hour), didn't turn the thermostat back down before leaving, and didn't lock the door. I asked someone to call me to discuss, giving the times when I was available, and I received a call back and a voicemail during a time I explicitly said I would not be available. In compensation, the manager did not apologize or take responsibility for the door being unlocked and offered me only a small discount (around 15 to 20%) off my next cleaning (for a cleaning I had to redo myself.) Then I just received an email with the invoice again without any follow up about whether their proposed resolution addressed the problems. They made an effort to improve, and the next few cleanings were good, but then problems reemerged. Additionally, they charge for using a credit card, but then expect payment to arrive the day that they sent the invoice. Even though I sent a check the day I received the invoice on every occasion but one, on multiple occasions they charged my credit card when I had confirmed by email that the check was in the mail. I also received a bill for a check that they had received two weeks earlier, and I didn't receive a response when I emailed to say that the bank confirmed it arrived but it had not been deposited. They also left barkeepers friend smeared all over my sinks, stoves, fridge, and dishwasher until I asked them to stop using it-- they scratched my dishwasher by using barkeepers friend against the grain of the stainless steel, contrary to the explicit directions on the bottle. (I didn't even complain about the damaged dishwasher...I kept trying to give them the benefit of the doubt.) I finally emailed to cancel the service (about four months in) after one of their staff members walked in street shoes all over the clean hardwood before leaving, leaving footprints everywhere. And they had left our front door unlocked again. I didn't receive a response or apology. I had to call to follow up to get my house keys back. One of the managers was willing to deliver them, which I appreciated, but at the end of the day, we paid to rekey our home due to our lack of trust in this company.

Rachael Lund: We have been using St. Pete's Maids for about 1.5 years for biweekly house cleaning. In general, the cleaners do a wonderful job with the cleaning. They are very dependable and professional.We generally have a fairly tidy house and make sure on cleaning day there are no dishes out etc... , so there is not much "picking up" or putting away things--they can usually get started just into cleaning. I can't speak to whether or not they would pick up bunches of toys/mess.We have had a couple of other cleaning services, but have been happiest with St. Pete's. Very rarely do they have to reschedule, but are communicative about any change--rescheduling, or arriving early.One thing to think about--other cleaning services we have used had us pay for a number of hours --for St. Pete's you pay for the job--sometimes they send one cleaner and it takes a couple of hours, sometimes they send 2 or 3, and it gets done quickly.Service:Standard cleaning

Dorinda Carter Andrews: Very disappointed with our experience with Hannah's company. She came recommended. The lack of professionalism was appalling. They were consistently late (sometimes 90 minutes) and would not call to provide forewarning of tardiness. The lack of apology on several occasions further underscored the lack of professionalism. The cleaning was decent/mediocre. While the team was responsive to our feedback, we felt like we could have done a better job ourselves on some occasions. The professionalism was awful. We ended up having to fire Hannah and her team after only a few months of service. What angered me even more was that there was no apology for the 90-minute tardiness and attempt to reschedule our appointment on another day the last time. That was the straw that broke the camel's back. It seemed like she didn't care that we were unhappy with the lack of professionalism.

Angela Baranski: I know that everyone else has given A to Zen five star-ratings. However, my experience has been much different. My husband and I have used this service for several months and it has been very disappointing. I'm not going to list everything that wasn't up to par, but a few things in particular: they didn't move the shoes in the closet to vacuum, the beside nightstands were not clean and still had something sticky on them, and the rims inside the toilet. bowl are still dirty. I think what bothered me the most is that right after they were here to clean, I came home to scrub and scrape off a sticky spot on the toilet bowl for five minutes. I would not recommend.
