Windsor Township State Game Area: what do users think?
Mark Dunlap: It sucked, I have tried this place several times and haven't seen anything
Ian Mckay: It's a pleasant spot to wander the woods, be sure to check the hunting seasons or wear orange. I went here to hammock with my girlfriend, and we ran into a few friendly squirrel hunters.
Joseph Fountain: Just walked through it quickly, lots of fields and some hardwood and swamp, several deer stands, but it's a bit hard to get to and parking is pretty shabby

Matthew Gillett: During my recent visit to Rose Lake, I had a wonderful hiking experience. The trails were well-maintained, and people were respectful of space, which made hiking there a pleasant experience. The scenery was lovely, and even in winter, it was a great place to walk trails. Although there wasn't a ton of terrain, I still enjoyed my hike. I am looking forward to visiting in the spring, as it looks like there will be plenty of wildflowers to see.I have also been going birding at Rose Lake quite often, and it's a great spot for bird watchers. I have seen many different species of birds, even in the winter months. The park is a beautiful and serene place that is perfect for nature lovers.Overall, I highly recommend Rose Lake to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing hiking experience. The park is not only great for hiking and bird watching, but it's also an excellent place for a date night with a loved one.

Robert Ehrlich: Beautiful wildlife area with excellent shooting range with professional staff.
Pao Yang: Many trails to walk and ride bike on. The trails are not perfectly groomed but that's ok because this is the woods and should be like that. Enjoy the outdoors! Plenty of deer and turkeys if you know where to look. A few things to take note this year (2022), ticks have been out of control. Do not wander in thick vegetation or semi tall grass. Check yourself and your pets after visiting.
Amy Beaulac: Educational and fun
Sylvia Lin: Started with the tailhead near the Trailhead, RM52+8W. The trail has lots of birds and they were still active by time we left at 1PM. We have been to many trails around the area and this is the trail we saw more birds than any other parks. Lots of mushroom and plenty of signs of eatable mushroom has been harvest along the trail.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No Price for adult entry Free …More

Austin Karlzen: Went on the 4th of July for the first time this year since the Corona virus shut everything down while it warmed up. With only 3 lanes open for the pistol range we three crowded our one bay, loaded and coaching each other. One of the range masters saw my wife having issues with her technique and me not being one to know terribly much better he offered notes and assistance and within an hour we were shooting tighter groups, feeling more confident with our pistols. Over all we had an amazing experience as we always do and we loved the assistance we received. The range is always well kept together, well organized and the every 15 minutes target checks are great.

Nomad Anglers - ORVIS: what do users think?
Christian Wright: They must want all the overpriced gear they sold you to get confiscated by the DNR they apparently can't be bothered to sell fishing licenses.
Alek Roehl: Quality fly fishing gear, well-stocked fly selection for various fisheries in Michigan, plenty of fly tying materials, and pleasant conversations with great people behind the counter of the shop. Close proximity to Michigan State University's campus in East Lansing. Highly recommend stopping in.
Freedom Yard Drains: Stopped by on Saturday 12/17 at 1pm. The sign on the door said store hours 10-2. Store was closed. I drove a long way to spend money.
Dan Dombos: We went through a rough patch on a recent order that didn't go as planned. I may or may not get what I tried to order, but they reached out and made amends. I'm probably shopping in person from now on, but that's better for them anyway.Four stars for a well-stocked local fly shop in mid and west Michigan.
Austin Karlzen: Good selection for a smaller shop, okay prices, good shop to go to for information on local streams/rivers. I've been going here for about a year and half and even bought a fairly expensive (to me) 8 weight rod and reel last year for pike/larger flies. Until today I haven't had a reason to complain. I walked in later today(2/15/22) and the guy seemed very informed on early year tactics and I told him I'm in the market for an inexpensive 11/12 weight rod and reel. He pulls out a 7/8 orvis reel and tries to tell me it's basically an 11 weight reel and I realize the drag systems may not scale up based on weight for some brands/applications/etc but I knew what I was in the market for for a reel. It upset me a bit to think he could try and sell me on a new reel that may or may not be able to hold all the line and backing I will need for my setup AND the drag I may need when the fish tries running off(MUSKY). They had a decent offer on an Echo Husky 11 weight rod and I was glad that it was an option for me but a bit out of my price range for a little bit.
William Rundle: Small store. Rarely open reliably. Most of the time I show up they're closed. Hours contradict whatever is posted anywhere online. Decent selection of materials when they can keep stock. Service is outstanding, but again, it's difficult to know when the shop is open.Edit. Hours are updated and my review went from 3 to 5 since it is now easier to plan trips while the business is open.
Brian K: Hours are terrible!!!
Anthony Loiselle: Great place, Brian is the best! Very knowledgeable, great products, and he is willing to go out of his way for the customer, support your local fly guy!
Richard Narrington: Excellent fly shop!!
Patrick Perrin: Great customer service! I purchased a new fly rod, and when I went to use it for the first time one of the sections was cracked. I contacted Nomad and explained the situation. They were able to replace the rod that same day, no questions asked. I was literally in and out of the store in about 2 minutes. Love it when a business stands behind their products! Highly recommended!
Ryan del Gaudio: I’m a beginner fly fisherman, went to nomad anglers in Lansing, even with the preventions covid-19 has brought, Brian was able to set me up and give me advice to help me get out on the water. Highly recommend.
Jon Arend: Love going in here. Staff are friendly and helpful. Great selection to choose from.
jay everett belous: Best service and most knowledgeable crew
Rich Augsburger: One stop shopping. Great selections and average pricing.
Lance Beasley: I'm new to fly tying. The staff at Nomad Anglers is always happy to be there and have been very helpful in getting materials and giving advice on trying flys. Honestly, I don't think I've ever had as good an experience as a customer anywhere else - no matter what I was buying.
Tim Schofield: Great shop. Clean, organized and friendly staff 🙂
Paul Glass: Folks at Nomad run a great shop. They were out of stock on an item so I sent an email asking when they'd get more in. An hour later I had an email asking me what I wanted and a week later another email saying they had what I was looking for and were holding it for me. When my package arrived it had a handwritten note directly to me.Amazon is great for light bulbs and diapers, Nomad is better for fishing stuff. They're email newsletter doesn't even suck. What more could you even ask for.
battleship Strachan: Great knowledge
Kent Dow: Excellent!!
Game Of Inches TV: Went in for a pair of waders for a hunt and the guys were extremely helpful.
Douglas Edwards: Pure fishing

Sportsman's Warehouse: what do users think?
Theodore S. Ransaw: The guy behind the counter came out and spent a good deal of time answering questions and sharing things I didn't know. Few sales people have product knowledge like that anymore.
Jayson Chapman: Has become my go to place for all things outdoors ! The selection is good, and the prices pretty decent overall . Knowledgeable and friendly customer service
Evan Murphy: Creepy gun culture and still seems to be going out of business. Always have issues with computers at checkout but say it just happened. No fishing stock at all. Go elsewhere.
Jeremy B: Lots of selection on guns. One time I went in to get deer tags and machine was down after 30 minutes of trying had to go somewhere else.
Mitch Adam: A good sporting goods store. They have a good supply of gear for waterfowl hunting, wich is really nice for me. They have I nice size gun counter with a fairly large supply of hand guns and long guns. It's also convenient to have 5.11 tactical gear in the store as well. The camping and hiking gear section is well laid out and stocked as well. The pricing on apparel is pretty high though. Can't say much about the fishing or bow hunting departments as I've never been through them. They seem to be as well stocked and supplied as the rest of the store though.
Joe Ladd: Not bad product lines but the telephone automated service does not work at all. It breaks up, never forwards your call or simply hangs up. If I lived next store it wouldn't be a problem but i am a half hour away. I hope they fix this soon.
Thomas Goodson: Great place for all your outdoor needs and a good selection
Robert Clarke: Had what I needed at fair price
Juston Marshall: I got really great service.
Rafael Buckles: The staff was very kind and were able to fully refund my purchase. I actually ended up buying a better gun for a similar price.
Cody Darnell: Customer service is poor. had to call multipleTimes after being sat on hold for 13 mins both times and the gentleman that did answer was just rude! Will definitely take my business else where
B Gz: As a 1st time customer it was a pleasant surprise. Lots of choices and competitive pricing. Customer service was very good and everyone I encountered was helpful.
Mark Stanley: Great place to shop.
littlefeild jake: Prices are decent
Dan Gambill: Very knowledgeable and helpful firearms staff on my latest purchase.
Colton Schmaltz: Ordered a shotgun online for pickup and it turned out that the picture they had posted to the website was Incorrect. The staff was very kind and were able to fully refund my purchase. I actually ended up buying a better gun for a similar price. 10/10 staff 5/10 website
geemanjeff: Bought a Master built smoker. Great service and great price.
Clayton: Helpful staff
C T (MnkyDlffy): I enjoy as a regular customer browsing and shopping this sportsman warehouse but today changed that.I recently experience being followed by a employee pasting back and forth glaring his eyes my way pretending to look and touch stuff like he's working being a physiognomy maybe because of my skin color or ethinc treated as if i was a thief attempting to steal something.I was just checking out different products and reading descriptions to make sure I was going to buy the right thing. I don't mean to assume anything but I would prefer any employee to just come my way and ask if i needed any help.
Rjelmiles: Helpful and friendly staff. Large selection on a variety of outdoor sporting goods.
Brandon Elbers: Lots of variety, fair prices, helpful staff

Dansville State Game Area: what do users think?
Besca USA: This review would be 5 stars, however the entire area is constantly piled high with garbage. There are several groups of people that think their trash just magically disappears. I love bringing our dogs here, but I am always on the lookout for broken glass.
Americana Gothic: This place isnt bad...As a hunter, I love the fact we are getting lots of people using our State Game Areas, they are here for the publics use. Its important whether or not your a kayaker, trailer, fisherman, hunter, jogger, birdwatcher, dog walker, or whoever is using our lands to be an embassador to the land before we lose it. Anyone walking a dog in a State Game Area should remember, the area is there primarily for hunting and was put there by legislation through hunters and outdoorsmen. So you should be thanking them instead of being rude and making blanket statements in bad judgement. Everytime a dog walker walks under my stand, way away from any trail, I smile and ask how your day has been, while They mostly act like I shouldnt be there. Its mainly there for hunting and put there by hunters basically. So be nice to everyone who is there. I dont blame you for ruining my hunt on STATE HUNTING PROPERTY when your just there durring hunting season walking your dog. Its not YOUR land and your lucky hunters are nice.
Chris Smith: Great place to walk your dog horrible hunters
Kong Yang: There are over 5,000 Acres of state land open to the public. The person below who stated about not being able to park at the range obviously doesn’t know anything. There is a small parking lot on the southern end of the crop field off Barnes Rd, in between Kelly Rd and Meridian Rd that allows you access to the state land surrounding the gun range when it closes. Do not enter the range area as it is off limits after the range closes. The gun range is only open 9-5pm Fri-Sat.
Jeanette Bostrom-Eastham: Beautiful place. There is a shooting range there. I went with the intention of bird watching. The entry gate was closed. There is space near and at the entrance you could park. But they are posted no parking. A nearby resident was kind enough to let me park on his property. I was there on a Monday and the range is open on weekends. Very disappointing that I couldn't access the area without bothering a kind neighbor.

Moose Creek Sports: what do users think?
Travis Conti-Michigan Realtor: We have had several firearms shipped to Moose Creek! They have a great, knowledgeable, friendly crew of people! I highly recommend them!
Jeremy B: 👎
Jordan Grossman: Garbage service. Rude. No inventory.
Ken Spurbeck: I had 2 pistols sent to Moose creek. I have never had my paperwork processed so fast, did the paperwork in and out. I will be using them again.
Mark Ziegler: Great people to work with and the process was the smoothest when compared to my past ffl transfers. I won't go anywhere else, these guys are the most affordable and the best in Lansing
Aaron Hollingsworth: My perfurred place to shop better prices than most great ffl dealer fees if you like to shop online
Ron Shafer: Found and purchased a 9mm and a 12 gauge pump shotgun for home defense for 360.00 for both !!
Todd Lebedin (Sickwell): I have had a couple guns I bought online transferred here now. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the transfer rate is pretty low compared to other FFL.
Jessica Stockenauer: Went in today and was treated great. got a nice gun for a good deal and was overall happy with the experience thanks moose creek keep up the good work!! Making improvements!
Omar Karim: dont go here, firearms are serious business and these people do not conduct themselves seriously. Rather they are very unprofessional and will not only give you a headache but their lack of professionalism will definitely lead to illegal activity. AVOID
Jessica Lynne: Went to purchase a gun and staff was very rude from the start. They let me pay for my gun and waited for me to get finished with paper work to be told they wouldnt sell me a gun since i work at a marijuana facility.. Got everything corrected and went through with the sale and at that point they decide to tell me they cant release my gun to me due to THEM not checking my id until after everything was done and AFTER my ffl went through EVERY step was done wrong on their behalf... VERY UNPROFFESIONAL
michael kelly: Had a great buying experience. Staff was very helpful and patient with my wife who bought her first gun today. Thank you for the time and help.
david barron: Found staff very helpful selection is not the biggest but if you check online prices for the same guns they carry you will find their prices are very competitive went for one gun ended up with two
Robert Clark: Horrible place
Andrew Drust: Used to use these guys to process transfers since they charged the lowest transfer rates in the area. As a gun shop, they're nothing special, a small selection and average to high prices. Their store policy of having the FFL where the firearm is coming from contact them first has proved a little inconvenient at times and has led to miscommunications that puts me as the buyer in an awkward middle position, especially when store policies conflict. But because it was cheap and convenient, I was okay putting up with it for a time.I had a sketchy experience a couple months ago when I had a complete AR lower shipped to them. I got it home to discover that the bolt catch was broken. This happens when it is rattled repeatedly, either from shipping, or letting the hammer repeatedly fall and strike the lower. Since they didn't give me the box that it was supposed to come in, I had no way of knowing whether it was in fact damaged during shipping or if they were playing around with the trigger in the back. Since I was swapping the bolt catch out anyway, I decided to give all parties involved the benefit of the doubt and not raise the issue. But my latest interaction with them has put to rest any will to deal with them again. I recently sold a firearm over GunBroker and was trying to have it shipped to an FFL. I reached out to them before it sold and asked them how much it would be to ship a firearm to another FFL through them. They replied "$25". Fine, reasonable. I took the firearm there once it sold, but the clerk acted in an extremely rude manner and gave me a runaround. He said he couldn't ship it that day, but he would start the paperwork, then he didn't have time to do the paperwork, then he wouldn't ship it until Monday, then he called someone over to start the paperwork, but then he didn't want to handle it that day, back and forth. Also, they neglected to tell me before, that $25 to "ship" was actually just their charge to handle the paperwork and that I would still have to pay for shipping, which they neglected to tell me before. He ended our interaction by telling me it would be simpler for me to drive it to the receiving FFL in Ohio myself. Since it's apparently not worth their time or money for me to do business there, then I will no longer waste my time or money there. It's well worth the extra charge to go through another dealer who isn't going to play games with me or play around with the stuff that I get in.
Lee Charles: I ordered a shotgun through them, the process was smooth and their FFL fee was reasonable.I also got some used tools from the store side, got a good price and they made sure everything I bought was in working order.
Jack Harb: Will not be going here. I called with some simple questions and the man that answered the phone was incredibly curt to the point of being rude.Hey, you want business? Don't treat people that have questions like the are dirt. Simple. Remember, you exist because of us, not the other way around.
Joshua Haneline: Shouldn't advertise as an archery shop. Only thing they have for archery is 10 year old bows hanging from the ceiling. Gun selection seems small, but alright for such a small place. If your looking for archery stuff don't bother coming.
