Sparrow Wound & Hyperbaric Clinic: what do users think?
Marilee Goldsberry: Huge disappointment…brought my husband because he has an elbow injury that is not healing after three months…to me, wound care implies that they will care for the wound…three people looked at it and then recommended we see our primary care doctor…actually, our primary care doctor is who sent us to the wound care center in the first place….totally unprofessional and incompetent…one star is more than they deserve.
Tammy Burns: The most incompetent health care facility I have ever been to. Medical items that were needed for wound care still weren't there weeks into the program. I finally asked for the script and got the items myself. The nurse I had gave me misinformation regarding what the doctor had told me and thought it was her job to chastise me in everything I was doing. If you've ever dealt with office politics and encountered the conniving person who always tried to make herself look good to the boss while making everyone else look bad.. she was it, only this is a health care facility. No room for kindergarten games. The doctor seemed scattered and easily lead around by the personnel. After months of being there and my wound not healing, I went to a podiatrist who had an innovative technique that started me on the road to healing. Foremost Podiatry if you are wondering.
lea pierce: The staff is just great. Very helpful and competent.
Cindy Selden: Waiting in empty waiting room for 30 plus minutes while no one doing anything but talking

Multi-Specialty Clinic - McLaren Greater Lansing: what do users think?
Grace Wardin: Getting in touch with the office staff is extremely difficult. It takes close to 20 minutes to get in touch with anyone in the scheduling department each time I call, and when they finally pick up they usually put me back on hold right away. Karen handles the referrals and takes a very long time to process them. I have never had to wait over a month for a referral before like I have with this clinic. Dr. Baukus is a good doctor, but I will be switching PCP's because of the terrible office staff and outdated office policies that make it impossible for people with mobility issues to go to in-person appointments. Even if I have to wait another month or two to get into a new PCP, I'm certain it will still be quicker than waiting for Karen to process my referrals. This is also the only office I've encountered where a patient signature cannot be done on paperwork that is sent in the mail instead on only in the office. Ridiculous and extremely frustrating.
Adam Peek: On top of having a built-in hospital, there are far too many reasons for choosing the McClaren Multi Specialty Clinic than I can list here. For starters, Dr. George is the mold from which all new doctor's should be cast. His humble professionalism, clear consistent communication, and gentle bedside manner is rare even among seasoned physicians. I can only assume his colleagues are all high achievers. The medical assistant could easily pass for a doctor. She's detail oriented, profoundly patient, and brimming with compassion. In fact, the entire staff clearly love what they do, especially the receptionist. She was exceedingly polite, reminiscent of being seated at a fine dining restaurant. I left dizzy with gratification feeling like I just stepped off an episode of Star Trek.Update: I had little reason to stay upon learning of an opening at another private facility a few months later. Although I still have no complaints worth mentioning, I began to feel more like a number than a person at the Multi-Specialty Clinic. I remain grateful for their speedy intake and highly efficient mode of operation (excuse the pun).
Suz T: Very disorganized and management needs to step in. I was told about my concerns and questions that “they don’t know what’s going”. Such an unprofessional thing to say and no one knows how to do their job there. Unprofessional.
Kanisha Burnett: I use to work there. My last day was Dec 28th,2022. Management and workers are terrible. They backstab you in the back, very unorganized.
Alesha Valdez: I went in with seriously issues and the doctor was a freaking joke did not check me out at all and told me to stop eating Meat eggs and cheese and I would be cured. If I wanted an alternative doctor I would have went to one. Very unprofessional and very upset. Still very sick with no hope of a REAL answer
Kaitlyn Gaddis Thompson: The headline: residents are not held to any standard of care for their patients. The story: I sought care at the McLaren Multi-Specialty Clinic after a knee injury. The resident I saw suggested I "give it time" to heal and come back if it didn't. I asked to see a different student doctor because I didn't feel he had heard my concerns or cared very much about determining the cause of my pain. After several messages with the office staff and promises that I would hear from an office manager, I returned to the same resident. At this point, I had been in pain and out of my normal routine for SIX MONTHS and had already sought out physical therapy on my own. He prescribed a gel and ordered an x-ray, though I urged him not to because I wasn't experiencing bone pain and felt certain the x-ray would return normal results. After waiting a week and hearing nothing, I checked the patient portal to see that - as I anticipated - the x-ray was normal. There was no communication from the resident I'd seen or the office to let me know this. I asked for a message from the resident about what would be next in the course of diagnosis and treatment. Again, two weeks went by. I called the office again. The woman who answered the phone told me my x-ray was normal and I'd need to come see the doctor. I, clearly frustrated at a lack of care or concern, got audibly frustrated by the systems in place and, in fashion with this entire journey with this clinic, instead of caring or trying to ease my frustration, she got rude with me and hung up the phone. Now I'm in a bind. I could start this ENTIRE process over with another practitioner who actually cares or continue to be underserved. It's ridiculous.FOLLOW UP:I did speak with the office manager, but while on my way to New Orleans for the summer. Though she wanted to move the process along, she was unable to do much. She's the one person in this entire experience who hasn't caused me frustration. The resident called 2 months after my initial call/x-ray saying that he had been on vacation and giving me information I already had: that my x-ray results were normal. Before he could hang up abruptly, *I* had to ask *HIM* what would be next in diagnosing and/or treating this knee pain.He said that we we would treat it symptomatically.Within one week of being home in New Orleans for the summer, my doctor ordered an MRI based on my description of pain/injury in a MESSAGE - intentionally saving me the office visit co-pay, time, and energy. The MRI revealed actual damage to my knee joint that would only have continued to worsen had I remained in this clinic's care.Someone should deeply consider whether people's health and wellness should be entrusted to this resident doctor. And the Multi-Specialty Clinic should rethink its standards of care.
Sharon Krzys: These people lied straight to my face I signed their drug contract for controlled substances as I've had to do for years as we who have to take these things in order to have quality of life are required. They give 30 day supply and if you don't have meds in your system on day 34 they yank it away and the doctor never calls you again. No doctor or meds after 8 weeks and no return calls! Not care more like don't care
Shemeckia Conner: The worse service ever from the ladies behind the desk. If you call for an appt they will put you on hold and never answer the call. I waited 45 minutes on hold before I disconnected the call. The office also will cancel your appt if the doctor is out the office then reschedule you and don't let you know the new date and time. The staff lie when you call to speak to a manager. It's sicking I will not be going back.
Janie Hernandez: As I was trying to find myself a Doctor to really help n treat me for many years..I found Multi specialty clinic the best clinic to go to.the Doctor's understand n listen as well as treat n refer you I am so Bless to have Dr McCartney as my Doctor n the team of Multi specialty clinic..they are the best ..Thank to all the professionals Team..atte. sanjuanita.H
Constance Glass: They literally never answer the phone! I’ve been trying to make an appointment for a couple weeks now. They literally had me waiting for almost an hour for a answer, and then I finally just hung up! I definitely have to find a new doctors office. Very unprofessional.
Traci Whitney: Great communication. They listen to your concerns and are very thorough with their assessment.
Sosha Knapp: Friendly, personal service. Happy patient.
Fatma Alhatimi: The convenience of having a hospital that holds all your ER records and a clinic attached to it made it extremely attractive. However, do be prepared for the doctors to treat you different from those that recieve private insurance if you are on state insurance and vice versa. The waiting time even if you are pregnant and having a bleed does not differ, other patients are placed in first and are seen first regardless of your state of emergency. The medical assistant and front desk staff fully aware of how the doctors are continue to apologise and tell you that the doctor will come back in minutes. Whilst I was having an emergency bleed while pregnant I was informed that the doctor will be with me. I waited for more than 1hr and 45mins. I take peeks outside the room to see the doctor entering other rooms and seeing patients that have just arrived. It was a devastating and upsetting time for me. Finally she arrived, only spending few minutes with me and stating she is having a busy day and has more patients to see!! This again happened more times than I recall. It is a no brainer I changed the OBGYN clinic, I am not going to jeopardise the health of my baby and myself by seeing incompetent doctors who lack empathy and compassion to practice medicine in a fair and just ways. If anything medicine is not a dollar sign... it is a human gift.Giving credit where it is due, the front desk staff are friendly and prompt, they are extremely helpful and do try to go out of their way to held. I was concerned and worried when the doctor lacked empathy and compassion and booked me a week appointment for a US when I was worried about a miscarriage and the front desk staff helped by offering an alternative and getting me a faster appointment.
Shari Sproat: My doctor is always concered about my issues and suggests things if she dont feel right of me taking a certain medication etc.
Jackie Bennett: I should've read the reviews before I put myself in such a horrible position. Like most patients who were abandoned & neglected by this morgue generator - I only gave them one star because I had to. I wouldn't necessarily say it's distain toward the "residents," specifically. In fact, I thought my last one was alright until suddenly on the day my meds were due to be filled -they cut me off (Norco) in March 2019 after several debunked excuses. Regardless of the blatant evidence that they had mixed me up with someone else - they still refused to see me again after 5 years without a single issue or incident over anything whatsoever.I just finally got around to doing a little investigating & it would appear that either they saw me for free, for 5 years (yeah right) or, they billed someone else's insurance company. Hmm, could it be the person who's chart got merged or swapped with mine? Sounds plausible to me. I already called to have them investigated. Hey, McLaren MultiSpecialty Clinic- here's a suggestion for you - ya might wanna get on the back end of patient care. Like Preparing The Dead for Funerals (after they're already dead). You don't have to cause deaths, okay? In the event you do cause deaths or serious harm as you did with me - you should apologize before someone like myself pursues answers, seeks Justice & has your horrid facility investigated. Or not. Psssst B"Boss" (You're prolly headed for the hot tub). Oops I meant hot water. Same Same. Take Motrin or Tylenol for that pain -aight Be'a
Kat Courtland: The students are nice but the main Dr's are horribly mean
Bigg Rick: Very un professional don't care about their patients give you the runaround had to go to MRI three times had to come back make appointment twice and still have to seek medical treatment from another physician had patient advocate involved would not request anybody to go to this place for medical care
C. Sharp: I was treated for a surgical wound that would not heal. Dr Granke and everyone on staff at the Wound Care Clinic was wonderful: friendly, compassionate, communicative, and professional. I couldn't have had a better experience. Thanks to everyone there who helped me heal and keep my spirits up!
Bex Irish: Absolute worst care I have ever received from a doctor's office!!! The wait is at minimum an hour, the doctor wasn't even in the building that day, they NEVER return phone calls and I was unable to refill a vitally important medication because of it. I'm pregnant and contacting every other doctor and specialist I have to try to get help with medications and refills. You can't get them on the phone...phone prompts don't work. The lady at the front desk hangs up instead of transferring EVERY SINGLE TIME and the line for the clinic hangs up after less than a minute each time you hold for a receptionist.I literally wouldn't send a rotting corpse to this place. Garbage service, inexperienced staff, horribly rude, and overall worthless. Save yourself time and hassle and go anywhere but here!!
David Jr: I like it here I see some people have bad experiences but the two doctors I have had so far are such sweethearts and they don’t sugar coat anything . Which i think being a doctor they should just straight up tell you this is what is wrong this is what you have to do. My previous doctor was more passive which caused me to be on pain killers for 6 years before they finally did surgery .
Hailey Hickey: Left in an exam room waiting over an hour to be seen by the physician.
