Jacob Curtiss: I do not often write reviews but this company deserves it. My repair was very minimal but the spring broke. I called Crawford Door and they had a technician out within an hour. Logan did a great job and was very knowledgable about the repair. He did not try to upsell me or "bs" repair as I have been done before. Straight to the point repair while in an out in no time. I was recommended this company by another trades person and spoke very highly of this company. I echo his recommendation and those are in need of service. Thanks again for the quick response and getting me out of a pinch.
Trevor Huff: Referred by a neighbor they took great care of, what I found compared to others is they had medium delivery times and were medium priced, the "top dog" quotes came in very high for immediate service, the low baller came in shockingly low but with extremely long wait times. My single garage door was "special order" due to being 3 inches shorter than 7' tall. Abe came out alone and arrived early as expected, tore out my entire old system and replaced it with new, he was in and out in less than 4 hours! Also explained preventative maintenance very well and was personable/professional. You'll want Crawford Door Co at your home if you're looking for honest, humble service!
Christopher Pierce: Call for a price on four sections for an 8 x 8 garage door. $1,600 just for the. 4 sections! Mind you you can buy an 8 x 8 with the tracks hardware and everything else to assemble it for less than $1,200 …. Serious price gouging going on! Called three weeks ago for a soda Springs they wanted to charge me over $400 I found them elsewhere for $110….. do not do business with these crooks! Run away as fast as you can!!

Katie Heeder: I called this door company to get an estimate for garage door repair. The lady was very kind and scheduled me an appointment. However, I was never told there was a $90 service fee to do this. When the appointment time came, the worker looked at the door and told us that the cost would be about the price of a new door. He then shared about the service fee after he had already looked at the door, so we had to pay the $90. When I called to share my displeasure with not being told about the price, I left a voicemail. They later called my mom, telling her that, “Everybody knows about the service fee” and went on to say some very unkind things. As a seventeen year old, I did not know there was a service fee. I am so displeased with this company, and we will never return nor recommend it to anyone.
William J Harrison: Center tension bracket ripped out of the wall and did what looked to this untrained eye to be significant damage to the mechanism as the springs spun everything around. Called Crawford and the lady initially said she could have someone there by tomorrow morning; when I lamented we were stuck with the door closed, she put me on hold briefly, came back on and said the technician would be there in a couple hours. Abe showed up at the appointed time, was courteous and professional, quickly assessed the damage as no more than the standard service call's worth and had it fixed and functional in less than an hour. Highly recommended!!

I asked why and was told that it is wood, old and the weight at the edge will eventually cause it to not work anymore. He couldn’t tell me how long before that happened. I asked him about the rollers and if he could replace the one I saw that was bent. Btw, I’m not a professional garage door fixer! He said he didn’t have any rollers on his truck. That was when I told him I would call another company to fix my door. After he left I called Affordable Door . They came out this afternoon and straightened the track and replaced 2 rollers. I won’t call Crawford ever again.
Tom Campbell: I had a garage door spring break yet again. I was calling around and ended up talking to Dennis at Crawford Door. He explained my options and gave me a price. It was a “no pressure” conversation. He came out later that day, on schedule, and fixed it in a jiffy. While doing the job he realized the original springs installed by others a long time ago, and replaced by me several times, were a bit small for the size and weight of my door. He upgraded me to the proper sized springs while still sticking to the original price he quoted me. I am a happy customer. Thanks Dennis!

Sarah Flynn: We just had someone in our home for 4 hours who we thought was a plumber, PLEASE READ !!! Just had the weirdest and worst experience in my home while dealing with a contracted worker associated with Lowe’s. We requested a toilet installation through Lowe’s and was sent an employer named Michael Beesley. At the beginning Michael was doing a good job. Getting his job done without a hitch or being in anyones way. However, as the job came to a close Michael’s behavior and work became concerning; so concerning that everyone in the house became on edge and anxious with his presence. Michael stated that he had broken something on the toilet towards the end of the installation, and that it was not his problem, the inside main water valve hence shutting our water off. Even though he was a plumber, or claimed to be, he went on to say that he could not fix that for us and we had to call a plumber and pay for additional services. He proudly followed that up by saying. “Don’t even bother calling Lowe’s, corporate doesn’t want to hear from you,” not only that but when asked if he was licensed and insured he stated “I don’t even have to be.” To make matters worse, Michael continued to brag about how much money he makes as a ‘contractor’ without even having the proper schooling behind it. I am horrified with his behavior and the fact we had this man in our home. To top it off, Michael Beesley left the location without offering a refund for his botched work, or even offering other companies we could call to fix what he had done. All I am saying is never trust Lowe’s or their contractors. I will be telling everyone I know and posting on all social media platforms about how scary this situation was.

Jason: Came in for about $600 worth of supplies. Left with 2 boxes of nails and a pencil. Was told the wrong places for things twice. Lumber missing signs, not going to guess. Epic fail, would have just left but I need the nails.Edit: Tried again to buy lumber, needed a board cut and an employee walked up and asked if I needed help. I started explaining and his phone beeped, ge grabbed it while I was talking and ignored me. After a moment he started walking away, looked over his shoulder and said, I need to help another customer and left. I have never been so disrespected in my life. Least if he called me N*gger first I would know he acknowledged me. I hope everyone in this store loses their job and die in squalor.

The item didn’t quite fit in the back of my SUV and we were trying to think of different ways to make it work. They figured it out and had a great attitude and were very friendly and helpful throughout the whole process. I really hope to encounter them again on my future trips to the store.

David Bartkowiak: Great outdoor center for plants. Our store has expanded the lumber area and lawn and garden, they definitely have almost anything you could need for repairs or home improvement.

Bethany Horton: Menards has everything I need for projects so I have shopped there for years. Lately staff have become less helpful or pleasant. Yesterday one was actually rude on a return and nothing was out of order. I have only visited this Menards so cant speak for other stores and I rarely ask for assistance but if I do Id like to be treated pleasantly.
John Kinsora: After I spent 10 minutes looking for an item to no avail I decided to find an employee for some assistance. I came across a group of four employees having a rather inappropriate conversation and politely asked if they could point me in the right direction. Three of them we’re clueless but the fourth who was as pleasant as a rattlesnake simply pointed down an isle saying go that way it should be by the end then turned and continued with their conversation. I was a slightly annoyed by the lack of customer service but it was the last item I needed so I went to checkout. I purchased around $600 worth of building supplies and as I was leaving the store asset protection stopped me and accused me of stealing a $12 dollar pair of reading glasses I’d been using to read labels since I had forgotten mine. I understand this is their job and as a former police officer I’ve handled plenty of calls for retail theft and if he had conducted himself properly it wouldn’t have been an issue. But instead he decided to be rude, arrogant and condescending letting his little plastic asset protection id inflate his ego. After a brief argument that continued even after I made it obviously clear I hadn’t taken anything he finally realized it was time to shut his mouth and walk away, I was so annoyed by the overall experience I nearly returned everything and wish I had.

Regrettably, the product I purchased was found to be defective due to a manufacturing issue, rendering it inoperable. Despite having purchased a warranty, the establishment in question refused to honor their commitment and provide the necessary recourse, citing the unavailability of the product in question.This grossly unfair treatment was not a one-off occurrence, as a subsequent purchase of a chainsaw also proved to be similarly problematic. In this instance, the chainsaw failed to start even after an employee's intervention, yet the establishment was once again reluctant to provide the promised refund. It was only through persistent and arduous negotiation that I was able to secure the due compensation for both incidents.It is deeply concerning that the establishment's business practices have led to such distressing outcomes, which can only be described as a form of daylight robbery. However, as a tenacious and determined individual, I remained resolute in my pursuit of justice, and was able to reclaim what was rightfully mine.

He was very helpful and knowledgeable about the Scott’s brand that you carry.We discussed germination rates and the use of straw versus the grass mat to hold and protect the seed.I also inquired about the availability of some metal stakes to hold down a very large, heavy-duty tarp that I am using to cover up a section of our garden to keep weeds from growing. I am downsizing the garden and will be planting grass there eventually. Brandon was able to tell me what kind of stakes he had (plastic and metal) and where they were located.I thanked him for his courteous assistance and advice. I also asked to speak to his supervisor (Brendan) to express my appreciation for Brandon’s helpfulness, but he was not in at the time I called (9:00 p.m. ).

Joana Lampe: I rented a tiller for a garden project online. Since it's a small project, we rented it for the day of. We had friends ready to help shovel and rake the compost and everything was set up. I got a reminder email for my rental and everything. Once we got there, we were told that staff "had been worried about this rental" because all the tillers were still winterized and we shouldn't have been able to even place that order. The only reason I'm giving two stars instead of one is because the poor high school or college kid was getting slammed without accessible supervisor support around lunch time, but he stayed polite and apologized profusely. Not his fault, but you'd think 1) that they'd update their website, and 2) once they notice there is a problem with a reservation made 4 days in advance, that they'd reach out. This way, I had to rent from AC&E in Lansing (which I should have done in the first place, they were amazing) and do the project without the help of friends. Very unfortunate. Not impressed, Home Depot.
