Darold's Small Engine: what do users think?

Carol Mann: They did a spring check and gave me two free tires they had for my mower and sharpened the blades. It was a very reasonable tht Lawn Boy mower is about 35 yes old and I've been owner. This business is great. I highly recommend them.
Anne Stump: Took my mower in for a tune up, they called and advised I needed a carburetor.Picked up within a couple of days, great work, great price and I am a happy camper!
Deltadigs: Dependable, honest, and quick service. What else could you ask for?

C & K Small Engine Repair: what do users think?
Jennifer Cunningham: This place is a joke. 4 phone numbers and I only spoke to a person one time. Drove all the way out of town and they don't have an office or anything... No signs to indicate they do repairs.Looks like a landscape company to me...
Harris Jason: Thank you, C&K! I’d give y’all a 6 if I could. Thank you, Kathy and all the folks who finally got my little 25 year old lawn tractor mowing like a new one. After it was delivered to me the first time, the deck failed. I personally visited C&K, way out in the country, and chatted with Kathy, the friendly owner, who said she’d have their driver pick it up. They replaced a broken belt at no charge, and delivered Toro to me again (thanks Duane!)Barbara Wheeler
Roger Wey: The C&K was closed !
Emmy Dillenbeck: They moved but Google doesn't know. Super people. They can fix anything and have parts so you can diy. I'll never go anywhere else. New address is: 7845 E Vermontville Hwy Dimondale, MI 48821.2 Miles West of canalBig white hiring signs in front yard
Ron Cruiz: Very friendly and knowledgeable.
Adam Faught: This place is the most dishonest company I have ever dealt with. Company charged me core fee up front and never worked on my equipment. Kevin then challenged me to a fight because I wanted my money back.
Star Villarreal: Getting parts
Martin Jay: Great place to get parts, great counter service, especially love the parts yard at garage sale prices on used parts!
Terry Baldwin: The mechanic( if that is what he thinks he is ) is a joke, Wouldn't actually listen to me... Sold me a part, Wrong part, Lesson learned..Not going back...
Damen Kurzer: DO NOT TAKE A MACHINE HERE EXPECTING TO GET IT BACK, working or not! Took my Stihl chainsaw in to repair, after months of not hearing from them, I called, but was told they had no record of it. Went to the shop so they could scan the work order, they couldn't find my chainsaw and their record was false. Was told the owner would call for restitution, he never did. Went to the shop again, the attendant got the owner on the phone who asked "why did you take so long to check on your property?" and offered no resolution. I still have no chainsaw or the $40 bench fee! How is this thieving company still in business?!
Kevin Leonard: Broke the pull on my Cub Cadet Leaf Chipper Vacuum. Was quoted weeks everywhere else. When I dropped off he said he was short staffed and could take a week or more. It was ready by the afternoon. I picked up and it looked like a new machine - cleaned up, tuned up with a new pull cord. Great work - fast and reasonably priced.
Kevin Thompson: Brought my chainsaw in over a month a go for oil motor replacement and bar replacement. Been over a month and still not fixed!!! Not happy!!! If i could give zero stars i would.
Emo Nae: Two years ago did fine job - must have lost main mechanic - 1st, lost my mower ( never did find it) gave me a look-alike but it refuses to be dependable - have returned it twice and cannot find out problem - they did offer a replacement mower but before the mechanic and I finished talking -- he hung up ?? I never called back
Duane Brown: Chain saw repair. This company is listed on the Poulan website as an authorized service repair location for warranty repairs on Poulan products. My chain saw was under warranty so I took it there to replace a broken vibration spring. They had the saw for 59 business day and never did make the repair. I called periodically over the 59 business days and was told it was being worked on but every spring they were sent was the wrong on. On the day I picked up the saw, I questioned the front desk person as to why it was so difficult getting the correct spring from the manufacturer, that's when I learned that they are authorized for repair by Lowes and Menards and not the manufacturer. Plus, the saw was returned to me in a partially disassembled condition; that's not how it was when I initially dropped it off. I asked to speak to the owner that day and was told he was not there but would be in the next day and she would have him call me. He never called! That doesn't surprise me given how the place is run and the very poor or non-existent workmanship I saw relative to my saw. I would not recommend doing business with this entity.
Diana Contreras: Won’t be going back. Service was fast, but weren’t willing to take another look at carburetor when contacted about problem after it was installed. Was told to Google/YouTube it for information by young lady who answered phone! Darold’s Small Engine is definitely worth the drive.
Kim Lambright: Had my tractor put a muffler on it charged 140.00 and it fell off with in five passes in the lawn and now they have had it two week from the time I was told they would have someone look at it and it's still sitting in the back yard not even looked at yet. Would not send a rat to them.
Laura Knaggs: Very good repair shop with competitive prices. Repaired my mower, and it's like brand new!!!
Amol Patil: I will never go to this folks back again, the lady at the counter clearly told me she will take $40 for labor and cable for my snowblower. But then later she told me for same thing will be $100 for same work the cost went up. This is just to put one cable ??????????
Paul Neuhaus: I would never take anything them again. My story would take me forever to explain, but trust me. Find someone else!! P.S. the only reason there rating is as good as is it is, because most of the 5 stars are from the employees.
Ms Kelley: Service was awesome today. Part was readily available. Learned Mark is no longer there (yipee). The business is making positive changes.Thank you for your service guys.
Steve Rogers: You get what you get

Contractors Repair: what do users think?
Ron Squires: Very knowledgeable and friendly staff.
keith holden: Good place to take your mowers and trimmers for repair. and buy new
William Parker: Friendly people great service very nogitabal also prices compare to the big box stores
charles Syrjamaki: I have not been asked for my opinion regarding Contractors Repair but I can't say enough about my 20 years that I have done business there . They are very professional, but also very honest and such great people. Glen- the owner- has gone above and beyond what anyone else would do . One time he came out to my pole barn ( I live 2 miles away) . My tractor would not start- over the winter, mice had eaten the wires . Glen fixed it and didn't even charge me . Glen is the best !!!!!!!! With gratitude, Chuck Syrjamaki
Jackie Wheeler: I am updating a post I made a few years ago. We needed a tractor looked at at the last minute and they got us right in so we could sell it at an auction that was scheduled in less than a month out. We had it in plenty of time to list it and was in working order for the day of the sale. We were very happy with the work done. THANK YOU AGAIN!!!!! Took our Cub Cadet in back in January for a "spring tune up" Nothing was really wrong with it just needed a good clean up and going over. Got it back about March and never got the lawn mowed without the belts coming off. Hauled it back and they said it would take a week to look at it. 9 weeks later after several calls they said come get it. The first trip was 500.00 and this one was 90.00 for a belt. We have dealt with them for years and know they are slow to get things repaired and I understand that but this was just insane. When our zero turn was hauled back for the second time I would have thought it would be put right at the top of the list. We didn't wait for the season to start to get this running for the year we did it when the snow was flying. We have used them for years and bought Cubs for over 20 years. Not any more there are several other places to go and we might have to wait but not ever like this again.I really like doing business with local small companies until they don't step up and make it right.
Amanda Johnson: I can’t believe how helpful Glen and his staff are. Even though we’ve moved, we still make the drive to Contractors Repair. My husband and I have been going here for years and always get the help we need. We’d be lost without them.
Justine Bell: Great people, great service. I'm happy I found them.
David Kloeckner: Great service
Brian Hudson: They've serviced my zero turn, snow blower & portable generator. Very reasonable & they were done when they said they'd be done.
Les Hayden: Friendly staff. Very helpful.
Mike Schenk: Friendly and helpful
Alex Katona: I cannot thank Contractors Repair enough for helping me with my new cub cadet. The oil filter was ungodly tight from the manufacturer and I tried everything to try and get it off. Luckily one of their technicians Glen came out to my garage and worked his magic! I cannot recommend them enough. I look forward to future business with Contractors Repair.
Steven Bauer: Did repair fast and right
Kip Armstrong: Great experience at Contractors Repair. Knowledgeable staff and timely turnaround!
David Ray: Didn't realize this place was so close! My Father, Father in Law and I have been buying online from them for years! Had a great experience buying directly from them. Very friendly and fast. This is my new dealer!
Kevin “The Salmon Slayer” Hopkins: Nice place
Leonard Tolliver: Bought new blades for z- force 98.00. Could have gotten the from amazon for 48.00 $ I’m for small business but that’s ridiculous never go back
don worden: Horrible service. I visited the store on May 4th, and ordered 2 parts for my Cub Cadet. The kid took my name and number and said they'd call when my parts came in. After not hearing from them,I went back June 2nd and they had no clue who I was. Never ordered my parts. I'll never go back
George Hamel: Good service and honest place
Ronald Costigan: Very good service
Doug Kassa: Excellent place to do business with .

Bob's Small Engine Repair: what do users think?
Adam Nolen: Bobs small engine repair was fantastic with tuning up my John Deere tractor. They made pick up and drop off easy. Full tuneup included oil change, blade sharpening, cleaned my deck, checked belts, and they even installed a new battery. Ask for Brandon and you won’t be disappointed. I plan to have all my small engine work done there in the future.
Gail Trimble: Bob's team did a great job on our eXmark lawn tractor. Fast service and very fair price. Highly recommended! 5 stars.
Jennifer McCrumb: So happy with the service from Bobs small engine repair. They picked up my riding mower Tuesday and are finished with the spring maintenance and dropping it off today (Thursday). Communication and turn around time was amazing. Highly recommend!!
audra mather: Fast service, friendly staff, and great price. They picked up my broken snow blower, had it fixed the same day and delivered it the next morning. Will definitely use them again.
Marshall Cornett: Needed mower maintenance and initially had a rough first impression due to a bad interaction with an employee however due to the outstanding customer service of the owner Shaun and excellent communication of the business Manager Brandon it really changed my experience to a positive one. Not only did they make it right their prices were very fair as well. Thank you for taking care of my issue. I'd definitely recommend these guys to others and I'll be a returning customer down the road if I have future maintenance needs.
Megan Ries: Our push mower was having issues. We took it to Bob’s Small Engine Repair. In one day, it was returned to us and works beautifully! Very reasonably priced. Thank you!
Jeremy Webb: Amazing customer service. Brandon was bar one. Will be back!
Pauli Walnuts: Fast turnaround and very fair prices. I will use them again.
stefan farrell: Very fast very professional . Great job
Steve Cos: Great business, fair prices and friendly service! Picked up my lawn tractor on a Wednesday and they returned it the next day. Tune up, oil change and other general maintenance. Great price! Will definitely use their service again! Thanks to Brandon for all his help.
Earl Schmidt: All the oil leaked out of our riding mower after it was used. Problem waited until it was in the garage. We have used Bob's services a few times over the years. They found the problem. It was a small bolt in the side of the crank case that had loosed!! They FOUND it!!! When finished cleaned mower. Looks like new.Don't get no better than that!!
Steven Wahl: I posted a question on our neighborhood chat forum, “looking for a reputable, knowledgeable, and affordable small engine repair shop to replace an engine for my zero degree turn mower.” Within hours I received a dozen of recommendations for Bob’s Small Engine Repair out of DeWitt. Everyone spoke very highly of their quality of work and affordability.Bob’s Small Engine Repair quoted me a fair price and kept me up-to-date throughout the entire process. They ordered and installed the engine to the exact specs. The staff was very professional with friendly customer service. My overall experience was stress-free, affordable, and had a quick turn around. Now I’m back mowing my lawn like nothing ever happened. I will use and recommend their services to anyone. Thanks again, Bob’s Small Engine Repair!
SuperNinjaJuggalo Durfee: Great guys. Really attentive to the service and repairs they provide. Would highly recommend.
Tom Anderson: Picked my tractor up yesterday, had it back to me today. Excellent customer service and very fair pricing. For sure will be doing business with them again.
ann face: Lost my keys to my riding tractor and called Bob's. He had a replacement key and wouldn't let me pay for it.He does great work and is a real standup guy. I recommend his place of business .
Merry Donn Gastambide: I've had issues with my John Deere mower all Spring and Summer. Took it into Bob's Small Engine Repair and he had it running (actually purring) within an hour! Love the new owner. He knows what he is doing!!!
Marylou Manor: Bob's picked up mower very promptly and delivered within 24hrs to my home. The rew how to fix myselfpair is rediculous. A 5 year old could do the a better job. I have rerepaired Bobs repair. The small coax line melted breaking it, causing the wiring to melt, causing the mower not run properly. Bob's fix, just wrap electrical tape around that area, so the tape can melt and reexpose the electrical wires. Really!!! WHY NOT REPLACE THAT SECTION OF COAX, because they didn't have any. I drove to Bob's to purchase some, they only had a much larger diameter. They told me I could go to automotive store to purchase. So I did. The only good thing out of this, is I know who they are now, so I won't call them again and I now know how to fix!!! THANK'S BOB'S for nothing and taking my money!!!!
Mike Walls: Very poor communication and service or should I say “Lack of communication & service”. My mower was picked up on last Friday and I was told they would pick it up in the morning and take a look at it on Friday afternoon. On Monday I was told, “we will get to it later today or tomorrow and call you.” No call. Tuesday I was told, “We are real busy now. I have 15 mowers ahead of yours. I will get to it today and call you.” No call. Today I am told, Look we are real busy and I will not have time to look at your mower so I will just drop it back off.”The delivery driver dropped it off and said he is sorry. Sorry, sorry, sorry. I told him they are a sorry excuse for a small business. You are only as good as your word. Do not take in a job and say you will go ahead and look at it and nothing at all a week later. Sorry Bob’s Small Engine Repair!
John M.: Really excellent small engine place. Highly recommend. Reasonable prices and very knowledgeable.
Adam Colf: I've been calling everyday for over a week. Not once has someone answered the phone. Not indicative of a quality business.
Ronald Overton: Snowblower wouldn't start. Called and they said they'd pick it up today. Did, fixed it and had it back late afternoon. Great service and great price.

Eddy Jones: Brian returned my call promptly, picked up my riding lawn mower, did the repairs, and returned it all within 24 hours! Top notch.

Diane Hurley: Excellent Service and Repair! My lawn mower is 100%!! Thank you very much, Brian! Lawn mower picked up at home, fixed & tuned up, oil change.....purring like a kitten! Thanks
matt allen: Just had some work done on my John Deer riding mower and as always had super prompt great service. Tom said he really enjoys working on mowers and it shows.
John Simpkins: Top-Notch! Professionals!!! Great Prices!
732975: Always been happy with the work they have done on our garden tractors. Recommended.
Mike Bree: I brought in a leaf blower that would not stay running and lost power 2 minutes after starting. When I got it back they lectured me on being to gentle with it and that I should not let it warm up before running at full speed. The work they performed was to change the gas (which was new). When I got home it ran the same; very poorly. I brought it back. They called a couple of weeks later and said it was fixed. I got it home and it runs the same. I was charge $45 dollars and I got a few ounce of gas in a leaf blower that doesn't run. I went on YouTube and after changing the spark plug, air filter and gas filter it runs great. You can decide to pay $45 for 2 ounces of gas and no repair or take your equipment elsewhere. This place use to be the goto equipment repair shop but NO MORE. IT'S WORTHLESS NOW.
Dane Cooke: Friendly and fast service.
Karen Reid: Excellent customer service, which is so rare nowadays. Great prices and very honest.
Chris Petersburg: LOVE!!! This place. Best work in town. Highly recommended - Made my JD 345 run like new.

Brents Mobile Small Engine Repair: what do users think?
Tim Kylman: Competent, knowledgeable, patient with all my questions. Chainsaw was running perfect. I will be taking my small engine repairs to his shop.
Listo Logistics: Thanks to Brents took my Husqvarna in for repair thought it would take a week same day service outstanding! I'll be sending all my small engine repairs!
Joanne Dutcher: I had my John Deere lawn mower serviced in 2021 to get ready for spring. When it came back to me the paint was missing off the deck, the blades came off of a gater and were not mulching blades. The spindle was broke. I was unable to mow all summer because it would not cut evenly and I didn't want it to break further. I have taken it to a John Deere dealer this year 2022 and the damaged was confirmed. My advice would be to take before and after pictures before leaving with this business.
Jon Vandecar: Got an "estimate" to repair generator of $75 to clean carb and install in line fuel filter. Showed up and turned into $200. FYI I told them the model of generator and work needed before I brought it in. If your doing the math that is 260% over the estimate. Waste of a trip and heavy lifting.
Sam McClure: Dropped off my stihl chainsaw to have the oiler replaced! Within 14 days my saw was back to work as if it was brand new! Excellent work Excellent communication and what I feel is a very fair price! Will continue to do business with them as long as I have equipment that needs to be fixed!
Matt Short: Very knowledgeable and great rate! Highly recommended!!
Mikey Allen: This guy is friendly and honest. Hard to find that nowadays. I recommend 100%
Denise Morrow: I took my grandfathers old riding mower there for repair. It is sentimental to me. Not only was it repaired it was spotless when returned. MUCH better condition than I ever imagined. Literally made me cry! I love these guys!
Steven Ellinger: Brent helped me repair my Toro Riding tractor this summer after a drive belt broke. I had him do the repairs on site at my house and my appointment was scheduled 2 weeks out. The on-site repair is more convenient on my end, but he mentioned the pick-up / drop-off repair being faster in turn-around time, especially in the peak summer months when plenty of lawn care engines come in. Price was very nice and much better than what the local Tru-Value quoted! Paid with cash, not sure if CC's was accepted. Great value and I will be using him again in the future.
Angie Kemter: The guys are very rude and they gripe about everything. One of them always has a drink in his hand and holding a cigarette in the other not doing anything. And the other guy is very rude and isn't respectful at all. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!
Jacob: I have to give a one-star because a zero-star is not an option.. horrible customer service.. a 10-day estimated turn around was almost 7 weeks.. told me my impeller was bad then two weeks later said there was nothing wrong with it..2 WEEKS!!!!! He never looked at it just guessed!!!! Lost the key to the ignition and lock.. he did replace both.. the icing on the cake was when he told me to stop whining after not hearing a progress on the boat for a few weeks..I obviously we'll never give him my business again nor refer him to anybody..
Deanna Wickham: Great, fast, friendly service at a reasonable price!!
Tom Jr Murray: Brent keeps my equipment running all year long. His prices are very reasonable.
