Helping Hands Christian Learning Center: what do users think?
Jacquelyn Grunn: We absolutely love Helping Hands! My oldest daughter attended from 3 months to almost 2 years old. The only reason we switched daycares was because we moved too far away from it and we were so sad to leave. The caregivers are loving and amazing and the director is the best! They truly care about your child and it feels like a family there. I cannot recommend this childcare center enough!
Slocum Family: We love HHCLC. The teachers and director genuinely love and care about all of the babies. Our daughter has dealt with allergies and they have been so supportive, accommodating and careful as we navigate it. I feel so safe and comforted being able to send my daughter here. She has also learned leaps and bounds here.
Shannon Baragar: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,Value
Louis Young: My Grandson was injured by this facility due to the negligence of workers here, after being rushed to the hospital and a very large bill that the insurance did not cover this facility refused to pay any portion of the bill. I am a Social worker in Florida and would suggest that this facility be investigated. Shame on this facility for not taking the responsibility for their own negligence.
Ronnie Rampage: My children have learned so much am very well looking care of while there the best day care
LaQuesha Childs: Very loving towards the children but the staff need more experience eps. in Ms. Kristin's class. She is a lead teacher who does not act like it. No weekly schedule put up because she actually told me she had to get more training from the director. They can only deal with cookie cutter white acting children and for this center to have been open for so long they should have experience to deal with all types of children - period .Helping Hands is not what it use to be based on the lack of experience of their staff. They are not as professional as they appear to be esp. the director ... It was a very disappointing experience I had with them!
michelle grandberry: Wonderful staff and care😍

DRM International Learning Center: what do users think?
Ester Mahdi: NEVER take the phlebotomy class unless you want to spend 2 thousand dollars for someone to sit there and show you videos- explain nothing and read from a screen. learned more about the instructors life other than phlebotomy. overprices for the lowest quality of education possible.
Mia DuBois: Please please do not fall for this scam school. They have zero resources and always claim that they will “help you find a job” or “brush up on your phlebotomy skills”, but do NOT believe them. Most of their students receive government assistance to attend the school— only some of us pay out of pocket with our hard-earned money and we’re out-numbered by far. The reason they’re still operating as a school is because the government-assisted tuition students have no incentive to report the school for theft or a waste-of-time education. Micaela is the biggest talker. I’m pretty sure she is running the fraudulent business.Edit July 2021: I periodically visit this review that I left and still can't believe I wasted $2000 on this fake school. I wonder where the money really went.
Jessica Garfield: Very professional place
Nikelle Redwood: well i passed my cna for state. paid out of pocket for cna. thanks guys
Jr Gauna: Amazing office so greatful for being there...
Sarah Heinritz: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueGot my CNA been using it for 2 years now. Best thing I ever did for myself.
Paige Girdley: Let me start by saying, if you are considering giving DRM International Learning Center your hard-earned money, please, I beg of you, think again. If you do not read any more of this review, just know that you will regret going into business with this company, as they are exceptionally disorganized and unbelievably inconsiderate to the extent that they will ignore your phone and email correspondence, send you invalid checks, and eventually need to be taken to court. Allow me to elaborate and in doing so share with you my experience with DRM ILC, extending over the past 7-8 months. I am a recent college graduate, with medical-related aspirations. In the spring of this year, I sought opportunities for medical training in the Lansing area to complete over the summer, with hopes of obtaining a relevant certification to use in my gap year. Having worked two jobs throughout undergraduate to cover living expenses and save for post-grad endeavors, I did not take spending money lightly, and hoped that I might find an affordable course option. Hence, my going into business with DRM ILC. At first glance, they seemed a decent company with a great mission. I happily paid them their very reasonable course fee, in full, in March 2019, in order to reserve a spot in their May 2019 phlebotomy training program. No issues. As time progressed, however, I found a new employment opportunity, which seemed all the more fitting of my future goals. So, on May 2, 2019, I requested a refund from DRM ILC. And that, my friends, is where my seven-month-long rollercoaster began. Over that time course, I had numerous weekly phone and email conversations with multiple members of the DRM staff. I was at first told that my refund, as stated in the refund policy, would be available within 30 days, later told it would be available in 90 days, and eventually a time frame was altogether discarded. Staff were consistently clueless as to the status of the refund, and blame was always handed off between them. I was made to feel at multiple times throughout this process that I was annoying and worthless and that, worse yet, I would never see my $1500 again. Finally, however, on September 27, 2019, just five months after I requested my refund, I received a check in the mail from DRM. I took the business check to my local credit union with absolutely no problems. Until, some days later, I was told that the check issued by DRM ILC had, in fact, returned for insufficient funds. I immediately told DRM ILC accounting staff, who promised that this was a fluke and I would be issued a new check in no-time. Just one month later, I received a second check from DRM ILC. Again hopeful to finally see my money, I took the check to a local bank and, what do you know, the second check returned invalid. Better yet, when I tried to contact DRM ILC staff regarding this issue, I received no response. At that point, I had had enough. In November 2019, I took DRM ILC to small claims court, and (shocker) I won. The company was given a 30 day deadline, and on the final day of the 30 days, finally overnighted to me my $1500 refund (plus court fees) in the form of a cashiers check and money order. It took seven months and a court order to finally get my hard-earned money back from this disaster of a company. I can only imagine the experience I may have had if I had actually gone through with the phlebotomy course. Would the class have even taken place? Would I have learned all of the proper skills? Would I have gotten a valid certification or a placement for my clinical training? Honestly? Probably not. And, even if I had, I would likely have had to fight the staff and disastrous organization the whole way. Not what I would have wanted for my gap year, and I hope not what you want for your future - no matter your situation. You worked hard for the money you intend to pay DRM ILC. Please, please reconsider.
Karen Sprague: Waste of time and money DO NOT GO THERE
Antanica Lyons: My experience was terrific. I completed my medical assistant program in 6 weeks. The teachers were wonderful and was always supportive. They helped you if you didn’t understand and made sure before you completed the course they you understood. Even when my course was complete they still help me with finding a job or if I need anything. I recommend this to be your first choice if you have to choose a medical assistant program.
Janice Owens: The school has a great combination of hands on and classwork. The instructors are very knowledgeable and deeply care about there students. You will have the support of the entire staff. This school has changed my life for the better and I am forever greatful.
Arykah Martinez: Classes were great ALL the staff were super friendly and instructors took the time to actually help you when needed. Definitely would recommend this place for CNA or anything in that matter.
Abby Gerics: DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY OR YOUR TIME. Long story extremely short (have been dealing with them for months), Phlebotomy Externships were supposed to be provided to “eligible students” after taking the class. After passing the course with over 100% they were UNABLE to secure me with any externship for the entire summer (I started the course early June), claiming they “lost connections with the hospitals” which I discovered is all bs after talking to different training facilities. The class is EXTREMELY over priced, they do not even include the price to take the CPT National Phlebotomy Exam (which most schools do), instead months later they emailed former students offering to take the exam on their site for almost 150 DOLLARS more than most facilities. The instructor was horrible (I could have honestly learned more on my own), and I could go on forever. I felt completely taken advantage of after everything, and this is still not settled btw.
Scott Schlagel: I took the CNA course last Winter and was very unsatisfied with the course and the organization's administration. The course is grossly overpriced for the quality of education you receive. The curriculum does not prepare you with the skills for the clinical portion of the CNA State exam either. The administration is not responsive nor helpful with paperwork and are not interested in helping you. They are extremely disorganized and continually say they will do things and never follow through. Please look at other options of courses before choosing DRM.
L G: Very knowledgeable instructors. Instructors make sure you understand & apply the skills correctly. The staff is friendly & pleasant. They've overcome language barriers & difficult learning disabilites. I overall enjoyed the CNA plus program which includes medication aide, hospice & palliative care, Alzheimer's & dementia, nursing assistant, & phlebotomy. Thanks DRM for everything.
SiMar Directories: DRM in Lansing Mi is a wonderful school to attend for an education in the healthcare field, including CNA and Phlebotomy classes. Professional, helpful staff. Knowledgeable instructors. Classes taught in a friendly, low stress environment. Highly recommend!

Morgan's Early Learning Center: what do users think?
Adam Green: Noticed upon touring that there was very little diversity within this daycare. Based on director comments, seems she likes it that way. Won’t be going back.
Amanda Kappler: This place is great. My daughter never wants to leave and wants to go home with her teachers for sleepovers!! Staffing is a headache for everyone. It’s clean, organized and best of all my daughter learns something new every day. Everyone is courteous and they just love children. They have been flexible and accommodating throughout quarantine. I travel past many other centers on my way each day, so my kids can attend Morgan’s.
Daniel Richardson: Very unreliable. My kids would be sent home with “temperatures” but when checking them at home would have no temperature at all. My kids would be sent home weekly because of staffing issues to the point where we were told our kids couldn’t come in on certain days because it was “their turn.” Don’t send your children here if you want a stable environment you can send your kids to EVERY WEEKDAY! Disrespectful director with dishonest practices who makes her own rules and still doesn’t follow them.
Angel Baby: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueExcellent communication when it comes to the children!

Sylvan Learning of Lansing/East Lansing: what do users think?
Alyssa Niemi: Sylvan worked with me for one summer and with a lot of time and hard work I got from an 8th grade level to a 12th. In my high school English classes I was lucky if I got a C but after working with sylvan I get 4.0 in college English classes with little to no help. The staff are absolutely amazing and kind. They helped me not only with my school but also my anxiety and stress when it comes to my schoolwork. I can never thank them enough for their kindness and support throughout this journey. Worth every second and dollar I spent there.
Linda Arens: Got us in quickly. My child looks forward to her weekly appointment.
Karen Watson: My son was a bit behind a few years ago so we were going to sign him up with Sylvan and then Covid hit and we put everything on hold which caused him to get even further behind. He's now been attending Sylvan for less than a year but the progress he's made in that short amount of time is amazing! The staff is great too. They always respond to emails and text messages promptly and resolve any scheduling conflicts that may arise in our families busy schedule.
Kera W: My son is a tough cookie to Crack. He's highly intelligent but twice as stubborn. Everyone with Sylvan has been so patient and kind in figuring out new ways to get him to show what he knows. I'm forever grateful for all they've done.
Serena Harris: This place changed my life. I started out in 1st grade and couldn't read like most students could. They taught me to read and now I can read very well. I took a break, but came back in 8th grade for math help. They aren't just good for catching up, but for getting ahead too. Im now a 9th grader who just completed precalculus with A/A- and it's 100 percent because of them. Thanks Sylvans!
Ryan Motley: Critical:Quality,ValueWe used the SAT prep boot camp and it was not as advertised. Little structure, no accountability. We were told homework assignments would be given between sessions and that didn't happen at all. It was basically paying for self guided lessons that you can get for free on Khan Academy website.
Emily Rowland: My son has gotten behind in math over the last few years. With each new session he has with Sylvan, he's having 'Aha' moments as he gains understanding of the processes he missed during the school year. We see his attitude about the approaching school year get more and more positive. He no longer has a sense of dread about his math lessons.
candy bradsher: Positive:Communication
Mr. D: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,ValueI run a non-profit organization that focus on academic upward mobility for the student-athletes. I enrolled one of my students into the Sylvan program of Lansing. After speaking with Mindy, I felt that she had a sensitivity for and understands his academic needs. looking forward to seeing good results!
Janice Milligan: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueWonderful experience. My son has developed an amazing relationship with his instructor who just has helped him achieve positive academic results. I highly recommend.
Brooke Phelps: I highly recommend Sylvan's for extended learning! The teachers and staff are obviously very experienced and great! They really take the time to know each student and find ways to relate to them to make the learning experience fun!
Stephanie Rakowski: My son had a hard time with reading and writing and was behind a grade level, even after getting help from his school. We started Sylvan and he is almost at grade level and his confidence has increased. He loves going to Sylvan. It is the best decision we have made so far for his future.
Kimberly Anne Dowker: My daughter is enjoying her sessions at Sylvan. She is more confident when it comes to writing, I already see a difference in her approach to writing and improvement in her assignments.
Billy Ryan: My daughter started there around 1st grade she is now in 8th grade and on the honor roll for the first time Sylvan learning center and their director Mindi has helped Michelle so much she loves going there every week
Kerry Dunkley: Sylvan has been amazing!! Math has been such a struggle for my son who has Autism, especially common core😫. I would try to help him understand his homework and we would both just end up angry, frustrated or in tears. Sylan has been a God sent!! They're all so wonderful with him. His grades have improved and he actually has fun and looks forward to going, especially when he gets to work with his "favorite teachers". The staff goes above and beyond to help out both the child and the parent😁. I would highly recommended giving Sylvan a try!
nick hannon: very helpful when it comes to homework and they helped me raise my grades! definitely recommended
Jennifer Scott: I have 2 sons who attend and they have made such great progress. I would totally recommend anyone use them they have great teachers and they are so patient. One of my sons suffered a TBI (traumatic brain injury) and he can be difficult at times and they are so good with him.
Lauren Flannery: My son looks forward to going to his study sessions- they have a great “reward system” that keeps kids interested and wanting to do more!
steph becker: I’ve gone to Sylvan for 3 years and ever since then i’ve been confident in learning and school. They’re incredibly nice and if you’re having trouble understanding anything i highly recommend checking it out👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Dorothy Lake-Munk: The staff is great! We have been at both locations and everyone is friendly and helpful. They were able to get my son back to grade level for ELA is a shorter period of time than I had expected. They made learning enjoyable. We will use them in the future.
