Geyer Auction Service: what do users think?
Susan Eaton: Great place to visit and get away for a while. We attend the consignment auction on Sundays (every two weeks) and have gone to the hay and animal auction (every Saturday). There are also online sales that I have bought items from. Feed prices are good, and there's a small section of horse products and equipment in the store.
Amanda Heinrich: Staff is always super nice and personable. It was great to be able to pick up some fresh eggs while we were there too.
Paul Joyce: Consignment auction is a scam. They sell clocks with missing parts. And it’s not disclosed in the auction description. Beware.
Charlotte Hadley: Animals sell at 11am every Saturday, hay/wood/straw sells at 9am I believe (we only come for the animals). It’s a pretty decent place. I’ve had good luck buying animals from here. I just wish the staff were more welcoming and polite. Luckily you don’t have to deal with them very much.
Carolyn M: Friendly people.
Roy Osterhout: Good place to get rid of quality items you don't want
cathy Graves: Great auction
Sam Schulte: Extremely rude. As other reviees said, it's like they sniff out new people and favor old timers.I tried bringing some equipment as a consignor and after explaining what I had, I was told to "keep my junk at home and sell it on my lawn". Which is hilarious because I've been to the auctions, and they sell similar stuff all the time (for top dollar) and it's roached out junk. Also, don't waste your time with the auction. The good high dollar items fly by and the hammer drops before you even know what going on. However, they WILL go piece by piece on low value items (garage sale junk), holding the bidding open FOREVER hoping to get $3. I've even seen them sell an eitre outdoor furniture piece by piece! They need to learn how to bundle smaller items together to keep things moving. They also need a 2nd auctioneer working the lots from the other end. If you're waiting for something at the very end, good luck, because you'll easily be there waiting until 3 or 4 in the afternoon to get there.Terrible place of business, terrible service, terrible people.
Dls chnell: Great deals and healthy animals..doing great Geyers.
Mary Idunno: Long drive, 6 hours round trip and didn't get what we went for...yet.
E P: I just moved out this way and was told this was the place to find some firewood along with small animals for auction. I showed up Saturday morning and tried to figure out how everything worked... I looked for signs on the wall and see if there was a schedule on the auctions or even how to register. I politely asked one of the girls that worked there if I could just ask her a quick question and she never even looked up but said "ask the guy over there" without pointing or anything... Like what is that?I looked around for a sec or two and could not figure out who she was trying to tell me to talk to. Luckily another gentleman there had overheard the question and pointed me to the person that she was referencing. The guy she referred me to was the auctioneer who was just sitting on a stool not doing anything so I figured he would know. Once again I politely asked him if he could explain to me how this worked. Instead I just got short answers from him that really didn't make much sense as to how I register or anything. The guy was beyond rude. I guess they can sniff out new people in this place and just keep you out of the loop when they want.Glad they're good at welcoming new people to the neighborhood.
Billy Juckett: I love that owner guy he is true and a little stern very successful and determined fosho
Lee Tickner: Great service and low prices!
Kari P: We frequent auctions around the state and when we attended this auction we were very disappointed with the service. The auctioneer was very rude to his staff and to us upon receiving our animals as there was a mistake made by auction staff. Someone in this man's position should not have demonstrated the behavior he did. His behavior and language were poor enough for my kids to make remarks about it. We will not recommend or return.
terese b: Great prices and great fun. You gotta check this out!
Jeffrey Stanton: Best people to be around exlent service
GrayBeard Castle: Great people
Brett Newsom: Great staff with helpful service! Shop local and support our community!
Jan smyth: Auctioner needs to slow down and say the selling price before he says sold. He goes too fast for people that are bidding to know weather they are in the lead or need to keep bobbing.
Jessica Modert: This is the place to get your feed from. They are very knowledgeable and will take the time to help you get the correct feed for your animals.I recently had a conversation with the owner about chickens and feed. I had told him I hate that I'm paying for feed that I end up shoveling off the floor. He asked well why do you use laying mash? I didn't have a real answer beside that that's the feed that I have used for "millions of years" ever since I got my first chicken back in the 90s. He educated me on crumble and pellets. The selling point was that I wouldn't be wasting money on feed any more. He's right! I have been using the crumble feed for months now and when we clean the pens there isn't ANY feed on the ground!!!Thanks Steve for helping me save money.
Mickey Martin: Great place to get animal products. Hay auction is great. I wish people would wear masks or if they don't want to keep socially distance.
