Fidlers on the Grand Restaurant: what do users think?
D S: Edit: Prayers for this family. I hope they're able to recover and reopen. They will have the entire cities support. But if they don't it would be understandable and still glad to have experienced them.
Luis Velasquez: One of the best places for breakfast!! Mark is an awesome guy. Makes you feel welcomed.
Barbara Neilly: I’m especially sensitive to the bitter taste of expired/old baking powder- no worries here, the biscuits were clearly fresh and made homemade with fresh ingredients. Delightful!
Thomas Castellanos: The homemade flavor shines through! The sausage was tender, tasted fresh, and was spiced just right.
Adam Brooks: My favorite restaurant in the world. Everything is made with passion and love
David Benden: The food was good and the service was good.Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More

Walt Reynolds: Every time I have gone to Fiddler on the Grand not only is the food amazing, but the owners are great. They greet us and come around wanting to make sure everything is good. This is so nice getting unique entrees, great cinnamon buns, and truly great service. I only with they could clone themselves and open more places.
Joel Daigneault: Great place to go try their cinnamon roll for sureFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Classic Cinnamon Roll …More
Nancy Lansing: First visit in years. Fab owners, a fork above many options in the city. Flavorable twist on breakfast options. Quality. Fresh. Fast. Teaching youngsters about service/waitstaff, bonus. Too noisy with music blaring, but that's part of the experience. Dine and get on with your day quickly as patrons are VERY polite to those waiting to be seated. Will return.Parking: City needs to step up and fix sewer, drainage. It's always been a issue there, that corner has standing water for years.
Brian Goulet: Small, hole in the wall dinner. The people who work there are super friendly and love what they do. Lots of fun and great to support a local mom and pops restaurant.Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Natalie Sandborn: Finally made it into Fiddler on the Grand and it absolutely exceeded my expectations! I’ve driven by 100s of times and the parking lot is always packed, and for good reason! Outstanding atmosphere, super friendly staff, DELICIOUS food! The sausage gravy and biscuits were dynamite…and I’m picky about my SGB!! And the homemade cinnamon roll with cream cheese frosting was out-of-this-world!! Absolutely cannot wait to go back!!
Brooklyn Rhodes: As soon as we walked in it was fairly packed and we were a party of four so we weren’t too hopeful on how soon we’d be seated and eating BUT I can’t even tell you how comforting, welcoming and loving this place is!! The lovely man at the front was telling us to make ourselves at home and to get comfy, he gave us our drink cups, we got our drinks, and waited for not even 3 minutes and we’re immediately taken to the table. We were given the AMAZING cinnamon roll we ordered almost right away after sitting down. We also found some cards to play with while we waited a total of FIVE MINUTES and it was amazinggg! I really recommend this place!Vegetarian options: Salads and thingsKid-friendliness: Very appropriate, happy communityDietary restrictions: Vegan, vegetarian

Awesome atmosphere and employees. Can’t say enough.Definitely my favorite spot for breakfast!! AND…. I don’t have favorites. Also got a cinnamon roll. Yum!!!!

Elizabeth Mestelle: 10 Stars if 10 were an option. We parked right outside on a beautiful day! The hostess seated us immediately in a sunny spacious dining room with lots of room between tables. Our waitress Keisha was very attentive without being pushy. The huge menu offered a choice of breakfast, lunch, dinner, and small plates. The hardest part was selecting what we wanted. My guest was very pleased with her choice of a cup of asparagus bisque and the Kickin' Pastrami sandwich. I chose the Wet Breakfast Burrito! The rosemary sausage gravy generously served over the delicious burrito of eggs, bacon, hash browns, peppers, and onions was beyond superb! To top it off, my friend's birthday entitled her to a fabulous complementary dessert. She chose the bread pudding soaked in a caramel syrup and topped with real whipped cream. Wise Keisha brought it with two spoons so we could share! We love Soup Spoon Cafe!Vegetarian options: So many options! And they all are delicious.Kid-friendliness: A nice restaurant to teach kids how to enjoy good food in a wonderful atmosphere without being stuffyParking: Michigan Avenue has parallel parking. Michael Simmons: Hey Doug! No, I don’t really know you, but our waitperson was Ginger and she told me you own People’s Kitchen. Thought I’d personalize this review! Just had breakfast with my beautiful partner and we agree this was an excellent meal! We had the pancakes and Still Ain’t Broke. Eggs made perfectly and that lemon butter on the cakes was amazing. Sausage was also very tasty.Oh, and the coffee was the best! And, and Ginger was very friendly and provided all the answers we needed in making our selections and she kept the coffee flowing. Thanks!
N M: This was an experience. A very artsy relaxed feeling upon entering. I loved how happy and friendly the staff was. My whole family was in love with each dish. I recommend everything as we pretty much ordered one of each thing on the brunch menu. My family wants to come back to try the dinner.

Hailey: Great and friendly staff. We had to wait about 10 mins for a table of 4 on a Saturday morning, but they did estimate about 30 mins. They do not have gluten-free bread or batter. I wasn't a fan of the breakfast potatoes, they reminded me of a Thanksgiving meal, lol. But my friends like them. Overall, cool place!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
RG Harden: Attended the wine dinner and they did a great job pairing the entry with each wine. Also go to PC for dinner and have never been disappointed.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Etta Abrahams: The most wonderful expansion of the East side of Lansing for me has been The People’s Kitchen. It’s atmosphere has a lovely grittiness about it and one feels entirely at home in whatever one chooses to wear—dress, denim or drag. But most important are the food, wine and service. Whether for brunch, lunch or dinner, in small or larger groups, every morsel I’ve eaten and sip I’ve imbibed has been transportative. The servers are prompt, knowledgeable and attentive. The chef changes the menu seasonall it seems. Yes, prices are up there, but the experience is worth it. Not fit for a glutton but for those who appreciate reasonably sized portions of finely prepared foods.Be sure to try one of their special wine tasting or beer tasting dinners!Parking: Lots of parking behind and across the street.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp to restaurant.
Justin Kirkpatrick: Hands down the best restaurant in the area. Haven’t had a bad dish ever, and I often bring out of town guests for dinner. Cocktails are always inventive and fresh. Highly highly recommend.
Mandy Dittmer: Some of the best food in Lansing! Love their pancakes and chicken sandwiches among other things…just an excellent establishment that you must try!
Kyle Parkllan: The food tasted great, and the service and atmosphere was very cool. I would recommend looking at the menu beforehand, as the prices and entrees have changed (understandable) since the last time we visited. Two separate parties were seated next to us and left after looking at the menu claiming they couldn't addord it. The server was so kind and did provide some local recommendations which I'm sure helped what was likely an uncomfortable feeling. We ordered two entrees, no drinks, apps or desert and it was $87 before tip. Unfortunately the portion sizes left us hungry.I'm not saying there's anything wrong with what they charge, but the dinner service seemed to target the high end/specialty dining experience.
