Dykema Gossett PLLC: what do users think?
Ricardo Garcia: Rude, unprofessional vultures. They tend to grab up corporate contracts and do whatever they can to bill the highest amount of hours even looking into leads that aren't in the best interest of the party they're defending.

State of Michigan - Office of the Great Seal: what do users think?
Lagina Washington: I sent my documents back in March 2022 it is now March 2023 and I have still not received my commission certificate. I paid and did everything required through the county and sent over my documentation a year ago. My paperwork was processed showing my status active but I have no documentation at all which is holding me up from receiving my notary stamp. This office is terrible I have called many times leaving many voicemails with no returned call. I’m not sure what to do!!
Chelsey Pinto: Our first appointment 12/5/22 was reasonable, had a little bit of a wait but the security guard and gentlemen who helped us was perfunctory. We were missing some things and I wish we had been given better instructions on what we needed to complete the process for some documents (we had many to apostille). He suggested we mail in the remaining documents but the reviews here didn't give me the warmest feelings about that. 3 stars. So repeat visit 12/12/22! The same security guard (Lou) was there and he remembered me and was just as kind and helpful as last time! We worked with a different person today Ms. Jessica and she was AMAZING. We still didn't quite have what we needed so she gave us clear instructions and forms and directed us to the appropriate place with directions and even called ahead with Lou's help to complete our appointment and documents. I'm stunned and grateful for her kindness and thoroughness. 5 stars! Thank you very much!
Synethia Williams: I sent in my application and like everyone else has stated you leave voicemail and numerous emails and still no answer
emily wilke: Totally at a loss here, I applied to become a notary in June and still have not heard anything back and like the other review say there no way to actually contact the office to receive a response. I don't know if they received my applications, if there are problems, or if I am being denied...... If anyone figures out how to get a response from this office please post here.
A A: I work with all state governments in the USA and Michigan is, without a doubt, far and away, the most incompetent, unresponsive, unorganized state I have had the displeasure of dealing with.
Dinosaur Fan: These guys are professional tax dollar wasters. Despicable behavior from this lazy get nothing done office. Don't expect any help from them.
Logan Brubaker: I sent in my application to become a notary on 6/30. I just got an email today (11/1) that my application has been processed. I called many times, sent many emails and even faxed the office to speed things along. I never got any responses.
Youseff Harajli: Absolute worst. Never answer phone calls, emails or faxes. They tell you on the phone to leave a VM and what information to include in the voicemail. Then they tell you in the same message after that, you can’t leave a VM.
Aaron Miller: Went there in person for an apostille. Great interaction with the staff. Building security guards are A+
Michael LeVan: Worst experience ever with the State of Michigan. 4 months since my Notary renewal application. No response. Have tried to call 4 times and cannot get through or leave a message. Time to vote out the Secy of State
William Adams: I sent in the information to renew my notary in Sept 2021, received a letter stating that some info was missing in Nov., that information we fixed and returned days later and as of this day, I've not received any documents regarding my Notary Commission. I know COVID has caused some delays in most things, but this is ridiculous. Today is January 5, 2022 and I'm still waiting. The check was cashed in Sept. 2021...what do we need to do to get help..
Stef Blanco: Bogus number with a voicemail. No ever answers and have not returned my call. They should be reported to the Fox 2 Hall of Shame. If anyone is reading this, I need guidance on the next step to take to becoming a notary/signing agent.I’ve registered on SOS website but there are no links that prompt me to complete the actual application process. When I clicked eServices link, all I had to do was enter my credentials to verify my identity. It never led me to continue with the application. This place isn’t even worthy of 1 star! Thumbs downs 👎🏽
Liza Levina: Horrible. Like talking to a stone.
Joshua McAlpine: I was a little apprehensive with all these bad reviews - especially with COVID. It was a little hard to navigate everything - but I thought everyone was really nice.
Bri Black: I sent my approved notary public application over 8 weeks ago now, and have still not received my commission in the mail or email. I tried calling but nobody answered, and the voicemail is completely full, so I couldn’t even leave a message.
Business: Can't seem to get a hold of anyone. Office the Great Seal voicemail is always full or nobody ever answers.
Chris Keels: All the way around poor service from a PUBLIC SERVICE AGENCY. But we keep paying their salaries.
Tanja Starke: I have got my Apostille from Ohio for 10 documents one month ago and I am still waiting on Michigan for only one birth certificate. It has been over 2 months.
Jesika Alexandria: The fact that this company has lost 2 sets of documents has shown me how incompetent they are.PROS: - Cheap...$1/documentCONS:  - Improvement needed in customer service- Almost never answer the phone- Organization is needed in terms of processing mail- in documentsI initially sent documents in October of 2020. I called & left many voice mails. I finally got a call back 2 weeks after my initial call. I was now speaking to a woman named Sue in November regarding my 1st set of documents. I gave her all the information she needed, my name, money order number, etc. She said there was no record of anything, my name wasn't in their database & nor was the money order number. I was so mad because for months. I was thinking the post office lost my documents.I sent another set of documents in December, THIS time I got USPS priority mail & it includes 1-3 business day shipping along with tracking. I got priority mail going to Lansing & also when they return my documents. I 1st called about my 2nd set of documents on January 21st but this was during the presidential inauguration. I was surprised to speak with someone but I did. He told me that both sets of my documents were already mailed out. I knew that wasn't true because the tracking number hadn't revealed anything. The man told me to send an email so they could look further into the matter. When I got off the phone with him, I called my local USPS. I spoke with a man that told me it wasn't possible for them to send anything if the tracking number doesn't show locations. I asked him if it was possible that it got mailed but the scan barcode got missed somehow. He said no. When they sort through the mail, everything gets scanned, you see the label on it.I called the apostille office January 25th 2021. I spoke with the same woman named Sue again. She told me my documents were incorrect & that's why my documents were rejected. I asked what that means. Sue explained "They were not acceptable documents." I tried to ask one more time. I asked her ' You don't take original documents?' I could hear her raising her voice & getting angry. "The documents have to have a letter that states this document is authentic." I asked her "It needs to have a notary, because my Michigan Criminal background check came notarized already...so I need to have a notary for a document that is already notarized? " Sue's response was "We've done all that we can to help you. You need to send the documents again." I explained that sending the documents again would require them to use the envelope that I sent them. Sue says the documents were returned back to their office when they mailed the items. I told her none of that is showing on the tracking. Sue informed me that something was wrong with the tracking.I got off the phone with her knowing I would not be using this company ever again. She didn't apologize. There was no compassion for my lost documents, none that I noticed.OVERALL:  I'm surprised this organization is still in business running inefficiently as it does. If I lost 2 sets of documents in 3 months, I can't imagine what others have lost for any extended period of time. I did determine that the post office never lost my documents. Great Seal had them the entire time. When I called in November there was no record of them receiving the documents (I didn't have tracking on the 1st set) but when I called in January of 2021 I was told both sets has already been mailed. I believe they still have my 2nd set of documents because my tracking number doesn't show any locations. I would NOT recommend this place. Its one of those things where you get what you pay for. I would highly recommend paying more money for better service, less confusion & complications.
A. Lovisa G.: As long as you follow all of the directions (and there are a lot of directions), you will have a positive experience. Thank you. Sorry I got upset.
Rila: Nothing else can be used to describe their terrible service. Called multiple times, every time they have different standard to check the documents. After one whole month I finally received the rejected documents for missing date. But the date is clearly written in multiple locations, so I really doubt the staff's profession in handling document and whether the office in fact has any SOP. Such a waste to our taxpayer money.

The Gallagher Law Firm, PLC: what do users think?
Steve Kowalski: Attorney Gallagher is an outstanding lawyer offering great advice and help for his clients. His integrity shines through every conversation. He is indeed a super lawyer!
Marthà Rhynard: Pat Gallagher was a godsend for us.He represented us in a very difficult and trying legal family matter. Not only was his legal expertise exceptional, he was a calm, reassuring voice and presence. He is a wonderful attorney and person.Peter Brown is also very competent.I would highly recommend this law firm
SA Case: I worked with Shane Hilyard on a family law matter and was extremely happy with his work. He provided helpful communications and common sense throughout my case. This is the third attorney that I've worked with over the past 6 years and Shane's customer service was above and beyond what I previously experienced. If I have need of an attorney for future work, Shane will be my first call.
Jenna Tupper: Shane Hilyard is the absolute best hands down, he’s professional, honest, has integrity. I couldn’t ask for a better man to be in my corner Threw out the long family court process. I would never use a different attorney other than him. Shane has been by my side threw out this whole process so far, their are not enough Words to Express how greatly I appreciate him.
Jason VanSickle: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValuePeter Brown is the best in the area! He is responsive, very knowledgeable and really cares for his clients.
Jason Garvey: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,ResponsivenessShane Hilyard was thorough and prepared every step of the way. My aim was to protect my daughter and Shane took that to heart. His knowledge of family law and his ability to apply it while maintaining a human touch got my family the result it needed. I would recommend him to anyone that is looking for fair and honest legal service.
Dillon Moore: Would not recommend this firm for any legal assistance especially a probate. This firm will waste alot of time and money as they will overcharge for work not being performed. They have been p.r for an estate for almost four years never sent accounts statements to anyone involved. Put 3 used boards over doors on houses and charged $1400 do to so. Wood wasn't even new. You can barley get pat or Craig on the phone or to respond to emails. So unprofessional.
Kim Landstra: My family needed quick legal guidance and contacted Pat Gallagher. He responded promptly and we were extremely impressed with his probate law knowledge and his clear and candid advice. Pat made a difficult process much easier to understand and I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of a professional and experienced lawyer.
Bev Pomeroy: Pat Gallagher answered all of my questions regarding the formation of an LLC with a phone call. He told me what could possibly happen regarding my mortgage and insurance and what questions to ask each institution. To my amazement he did not want payment for the time spent on the phone with me. This kind of customer service and honesty is not easy to find. I highly recommend the Gallagher Law Firm.
Don Mexicotte: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueShane Hilyard was amazing. He was always on top of his game. He was engaging and receptive to ideas...but always seemed to either be already on the same page or have an even better plan. Don't accept Busch League lawyers...these are who Shane crushes in court. Thank you for your hard work and diligence.
Mary Mexicotte: Shane Hilyard is amazing. He genuinely cared about me and my case while being the smartest and most prepared person in the room every time. The office staff was always friendly, helpful and responsive as well. I will not use anyone else for my future legal needs.
Abigail Van Wagnen Trufant: For those represented by Attorney Shane Hilyard, you will not be disappointed. His fervor for justice is matched only by his sophisticated understanding of the law. It’s a bonus that he handles his cases and clients with wit, commitment, clear communication, thorough research and inexhaustible enthusiasm. I, for one, have benefitted considerably from his approach and expertise. Highly recommend.
Carla Oconnell: Mr. Gallagher was extremely helpful, professional and thorough!!He is one the best attorneys I have ever dealt with. You are in good hands with his firm!
Kerry Wright: Worked with Pat yrs ago. All was well. Just spoke with him again in regards to a real estate transaction. He was very upfront, answered all my questions, seems very knowlegable & capable. I am hiring and will follow up with future reviews.
Melody Pfingsten: They give you a quote for the job. They state it will not be above a certain price unless contested. It was not contested. They charged almost 50 percent more. You had to work very hard to get them to communicate. They use both lawyers on the cases I believe it is so they can charge for each one reviewing the case. Please find someone else that is more upfront and honest.
Michelle Rankin: Mr. Gallagher responses back to me VERY quickly! Answered all my questions and gave me straight forward answers. He did not just tell me what he thought I wanted to hear. He was honest and very knowledgeable of the laws! He took some time with me and explained his answers and why. I would highly recommend him!
Matthew Oliver: We selected Pat because of the reviews. The firm gave us the run around from the start. They promised to reach back to us regarding our issue multiple times, but didn’t. Don’t waste your time with this law firm or any law firm in Lansing. I guess honestly doesn’t exist at this law firm. If you don’t want take the case just tell us.
B B: I contacted this firm, because of google reviews that they were very responsive. That was not my experience at all.I called on 8/27/19, looking to set up a consultation appointment. Annelise took all of the information from me and wrote it up in an email. She explained that Mr. Gallagher had been off the previous week and was catching up, but if I had not heard by Thurs to call and check in. I did so with new additional information. She added that to the original email and explained he had not yet reviewed anything and was still catching up. At that point, I asked if he would just not respond if there was a conflict or if he didn't think he could help. She was very adamant that he would not just leave me hanging. On 9/6/19, I still had not heard anything so I responded to the emails checking in again. As of 9/9/19 I have not received any type of response.
Alicia Ingram: Fast and courteous response to just a simple question!
Brian Hudson: Very capable & professional. Pat & his team care about you & they get results.
