Lansing Pediatric Associates PC: what do users think?
Angelica Cardenas: I started bringing my daughter here once she was born. The front staff is friendly. Our pediatrician Dr. Lewandowski was amazing with our little girl. I’ve never had any issues with the office. After 5 months, we’ll be relocating to another state and leave the practice.
Sarah Sweeter: We have received excellent care from Dr. Chapin, Dr. Loznak, and Dr. Amendt. However, the phone wait times for the medical advice line and when giving the office a call back are INCREDIBLY long. On average, I've waited anywhere from 20-45 minutes to speak with someone. Hoping that they can tackle this problem.
Seth Jacobson: This practice treated us poorly over the course of two years, so we've changed to another practice. My child's pediatrician was Dr. Loznak, but we saw her less than half of the appointments. Even well-child appointments scheduled in advance seemed to be with a random doctor/nurse/physician's aide. The most significant issue is that one cannot reach the practice via phone. Hold times are typically over half an hour and often much longer. A simple follow-up question about care might take many hours to get an answer. They have little to no respect for our time. This is true for appointments too with some far-scheduled-in-advance well-child appointments taking over an hour to see the doctor. They also wouldn't let us toss diapers out--on two occasions the nurses made us take dirty diapers with us, just super weird for a pediatrician's office. On top of all this, their billing department is sloppy and rude.
Alex Dethloff: The doctors are great, and the nurse helpline is filled with amazing people that are knowledgeable and eager to help!
Emily Brininstool: If you enjoy waiting on the phone to speak with an actual person for 10+ minutes (10 minutes would be a fast answer for this place) and waiting in the patient rooms for 30+ minutes to see the doctor, then this office is for you! It's difficult to get in for same day sick appointments and we usually end up at urgent care instead. Anytime I voice concerns about my children, I never really get answers or much of a response to them. However, my final straw to pull my children happened today. My youngest has a December birthday - we ran into this problem last year as well. Apparently children who aren't babies or sick are not left with much of an option to get a wellness check for their birth month (as most of December is reserved for infants & sick kids). I was tired of them scheduling my child's wellness exams for a month+ after his birthday.
Alice Price: I have been taking my kids there for 16 years and they are amazing! I have a 16 year old 3 year old and 2 month old. Our doctor is doctor is Sarah Loznac and she is great! Sarah is very personable, and patient, she takes her time and makes sure any and all of our questions are answered. I highly recommend Lansing pediatrics!
Michael Van Erdewyk: My family used to go here but the staff treated them horrible and were abusive. I would never recommend anyone to go here. It was there worst experience ever.
Alicia Westdorp: Not impressed at all the receptionist was very rude and nasty. Also when I did finally get to talk to a nurse very very rude.
Kyle VanErdewyk: I take felonies very seriously... additionally it looks like they even alter reviews and have no idea who their patients are and are masking who is and isn't their clients. I'm intrigued by their lack of "ethics". Anyone with a 5-star review is "okay", anyone with a 1-star is not....Replace all the support staff. Every single one of them are bullies, they lie, don't make proper notes about things you say, contest what you say later to the point where you have to record and say "told you so". Disgustingly rude, and tried triple billing me for a "consultation" on a comment the doctor made and billed the same subject with 3 different codes. A 30-60 second comment does not constitute a full blown consultation when it was just a "hey by the way" kind of thing.I urge everyone to take the time to read your bills and see if anything is being fraudulently charged. In the insurance industry you'd get 20 years in prison for pulling a fast one on someone like that. Ever since COVID this place lost any form of integrity apparently.Contact LARA and your state medical board to help resolve these issues. If you don't report, nothing will get done.
Shawn Van Erdewyk: Terrible service, not professional
Devon Ciara Evans: Former patient. The staff is amazing! Definitely recommend
Jaylyn Henry: I used to be a patient here, I had been going here until I turned 18! The staff here is amazing. They always greeted me at the door with a smile and were just overall super friendly! It was always clean and i used to love love looking at all the fish, the manager was also so kind enough to let me feed them, definitely a memory I will keep with me forever. Great job Lansing Peds!
Jody N: Such a great and caring office from the doctors to the support staff! Highly recommend!
Nick Bendel: The worst experience I’ve ever had in my life, incredibly rude and unprofessional. Easily the most embarrassing establishment I’ve ever wasted my time with. Anywhere else is better.
Olivia St Germain: So grateful for the care that I have received over the years. Best practice around.
Kate McDowell: Great practice! I take all three of my kids there. The nurse line was a huge help when I was a first time mom.
Jamie Talbot: You can never get your child in for an appointment. Takes 20min to get someone to answer the phone and they hang up on you. Ask to send medical records so we can get a new doctor and they say it's $20 fee. I don't recommend this place at all!
Jennifer H: Every time I call I’m on hold for at least 20+ minutes before I can schedule. And it’s very hard to get in to see my child’s doctor. After 13 years we’ll have to look for a different pediatrician.
LaQuesha Childs: My child has been seen by Dr. Josh for several years and we adore him! However, the support staff and a few of the nurses are horrible. Carol to be exact is the rudest person that I have ever came in contact with and because their staff scheduled a shorter appointment time with Dr. Josh (their mistake) Carol was a total prune about trying to correct the mistake. As you can read from other reviews it’s most likely the wait time on phones, admin staff or something else which most likely have little to do with the amazing doctors at this establishment. The doctors have to know their admin staff have attitudes at times and their phones system lack! The question is do they care enough to do anything about it… Two stars for Carol (I mean Karen) of Lansing Peds. for being so u professional which takes away from everything good my child ever experienced at this facility… what a shame‼️‼️
William Raphael: You cannot get in the office to speak to them; can’t get them on the phone in a timely manner; can’t get them to send referral requests (it took 10 months); can’t get them to issue athletic forms; they operate like an isolated silo in the Lansing healthcare system. Their solution to my problem was to terminate the client patient relationship, bill me to get our medical records, and not apologize or correct their mistakes. Before all this I was a client for 15 years with 4 children but apparently the new staff such as Dr Klein and the nurse and assistant didn’t like me pointing out their deficiencies. Customer service and bedside manner are definitely NOT their strengths.
The Real Momchelle: Office manager is rude lacks empathy. After being a patient for 13 years, I was upset about a $93 co-pay for a teleconference visit where their equipment did not function and I could not hear the doctor. I told her that I would take my business elsewhere and she said that is just fine. No apologies, no sympathy, no more business from me.

Pediatric Care Of Lansing, PC: what do users think?
Nevaeh Stombaugh: After my official 21 years of being a patient there, I’ve never experienced a better Drs Office. Dr.Hemming has been unbelievably a saving grace. By far the best. A huge appreciation to everyone who works there! Your child would be in undoubtably great hands here! Love this their team so much!
Leah Panagopoulos: My children have been patients for years and this practice has gone down hill quite a bit. My daughter started showing signs of ADHD in the Fall of 2021. We made an appointment in the Winter of 2022. The doctor immediately wanted to put her on medication after I stated I did not want to go that route yet. He didn't listen. He then scheduled her evaluation from another facility. We waited weeks and found out he never sent over the referral. He finally did and still never heard from the facility. We asked if a referral could be sent to a different facility and no one from this office responded back. We finally just found our own doctor for the ADHD evaluation. Then recently, my son suffered a concussion. When I called to make an appointment for it, they told me we owed $92 and wouldn't see him. I had no idea and they stated "we sent a letter in October". The sent us off to collections for $92!!! Said we had to call that company, pay the bill and call back to make our son's appointment. So tacky, classless and in my opinion, against their medical oath. Money hungry doctors at their best. In the past, any small balance that was owed, I always paid at their annual visits if I didn't know we had a balance. They got their $92 and we will never go there again.
Sonny Park: Good as always
Xiaofei Yue: My daughter has been seeing doctor there for over a year. All the doctors we see here are patient and knowledgeable. They spent time to answer questions and educate the parents. The nurses here are experienced and friendly and knows well on how to deal with infants and toddlers. This is the practice that parents can rely on.
Katelyn Baumgras: I always make sure to request Dr. Kidwell when making appointments for my daughter. She is always very friendly, answers all my questions and never makes me feel rushed. I had an appointment with my daughter today for a routine check up and at first she was crying saying she didn’t want to go because it was scary and by the end of the appointment she didn’t want to leave and then told me in the car she couldn’t wait to go back!
Emily Hendricks: Wonderful doctors, nurses, and staff. I am impressed with how helpful and considerate everyone is as well as how well they care for their patients.
Brendan Watson: Had nothing but great care from the medical staff at Pediatric Care of Lansing. Have met multiple doctors and nurses and we've been very comfortable with all of them. Couldn't be happier.
Sabrina Boxer: I have been going to this doctor as long as I remember. I’m a college student and was told that I could be seen until I got my own insurance. The receptionist was rude and stated “yeah…no one told you that.” Even if the information I was told was incorrect, she had no right telling me what someone said to me. I’m frustrated that there was no notice that I had aged out or even a heads up the appointment before my birthday. The receptionist informed me they don’t make referrals (or even recommend) other physicians in the area, making me feel abandoned; especially after seeing the same doctor for years. I am extremely disappointed in the unprofessionalism and poor customer service.
Andrew Hutchinson: I'll keep this short and sweet. My daughter was denied formula or the help to find her the formula that doesn't give her a rash. We explained this to the receptionist and explained we moved here Oct 10th. We were told since she not a patient AKA"not making them money" that they couldn't help.... not even recommend a store or another office. Just a shame this is the world we live in.
Python Development: I could give lower than 1 star, if I could. We stopped by to simply visit one of the pediatrics for our baby, and they simply turned us down and refused to accept our baby. There was only one person with her kid on the waiting area, a pretty empty place. That itself is an indication of the quality of the service you get here.
Mollie Asiedu: I’ve always had a great experience here with my toddler and infant. The staff get in you in fast if there’s an urgent matter and the nurses are very friendly. Always had a pleasant experience with the doctors as well.
Chelsea Koenigsknecht: I feel very grateful that we have found this clinic for our son. The staff is very attentive. Dr. Hemming and Dr. Lipsitz are caring, understanding, patient and take the time to answer all of my questions. Not only that, they take the time to interact and laugh with my son. I cannot recommend this clinic enough. They are what every child and parent deserves to have.
Chavon Hoover: Great pediatric office! I have been able to make emergency appointments day of. All other scheduled appointments are made around my busy schedule. Kind reception service over the phone. The pediatricians are wonderful. So caring and gentle! My husband and I feel so lucky.
jessica deyoung-foster: Doctor Cori Hemming is wonderful and energetic and listens to all my questions and makes time to answer them! Cierra the nurse is always wonderful! All the staff here is wonderful very welcoming and makes sure your children are taken care of..
Calarie Idhe: I am currently looking for a new doctors office due to the rude receptionists and little to no urgency when children are sick. If you do choose this office Dr. Yian is the best!
Kelly Johnson: We love this office. The doctors are excellent and they’ve always gotten us in on the same when needed. I highly recommend them!
Adora Easterbrook: The doctors were great for years. Then suddenly they get a new person in billing and 1 child had 1 newborn visit that their medical biller stated was being denied by insurance. The hospital was paid by insurance. We had to bill ourselves in order to get resolution. The biller told us it was not her job to bill the insurance and we were responsible. We agreed that we were ultimately responsible but the agreement stated that the office would bill insurance first. She harrassed us for over 6 months at every visit for all 6 children and in writing stating that it was denied. She also refused to return phone calls or to sit down with us to discuss it in a 3 way call with the insurance company. She never even billed them, which explains why she refused those attempts. Now we cannot stay with our pediatricians because we refuse to be harrassed by her and staff about issues they create for themselves. The doctors are great but you have to deal with billing and she is rude and lazy. Oh, we have amazing Blue Cross Blue Shield in case that is thought to be the issue. It was not. It was also the only issue in 5 years with 6 children.
Robby Ratan: Our children have been patients here since 2012. Routine check ups and shots etc. have all gone fine. We've enjoyed all the doctors who have seen our kids (Yian, Lipsitz and Hemming). They have all been attentive, friendly and informative. However, the real impetus for me to write this review has been the medical support staff in the office. They are exceptional! This became apparent when we recently had some special needs that required additional paperwork and information from the staff. They've been extremely responsive, helpful and positive throughout this process. They always have a great attitude even when I'm asking for more of their time and effort. This shout out is for them! ...but everyone at the office is great too. I highly recommend it overall.
Deardra Grace: Love this office and it's staff. I worked in the medical field for 15 years and I'm a hard critic. All the Dr's are great. Never wait long and usually get in the same day.
Gina CLARK: We love this office. All physicians at this practice is wonderful. All three of my children have been patients right up to adulthood. I’ve been with Dr. Yian since 1996 ❤️
Zachary Moring: I love this pediatricians office! I called at 5:30 pm on a Friday and they got us in right away. They go above and beyond here too. The Doctors here are great and really get to know your child.

Capital Area Pediatrics: what do users think?
Catherine Schwartz: Dr. Saddishkumar has treated us like family for years.
Eric Var: Dr. Arti Shah at Capital Area Pediatrics has seen our daughter for 3.5 years(whole life), and just recently when our daughter got sick with Covid and had to miss a couple of appointments they decided to kick us out of their office, and stated that it was Dr. Shah who made the call. Every appointment that she was going to miss we had called in to notify them, and even though most of the time their “reschedule appointment” line never picks up we still leave voicemails, not only do they never call back and it is I who has to call them back the next day, but they will count that as a missed appointment. It is scary that one doctor, who is just a provider at an office gets to decide who will get care and who will not. It is completely unfair, unprofessional, and when dealing with babies I would go as far to say it is inhumane!
Melissa Vachon: I take my two children here and love it. The doctor really takes her time at our appointments and the team responds quickly when I call or send a message through the health portal.
Katie Hughes: We have had a great experience here. The wait time is great and there is always someone on-call to answer questions. The only downside has been that it has taken a couple appointments to get things diagnosed for my little guy but once they figured it out they have been very attentive.
TwoPeasInAPod PetCare: This place should be ashamed of itself profiting off of masks that they demand to be used. A .50 cent mask for $3! This place is profiting more off masks than services provided. You are a medical center and should provide a free throw away mask not charging $3 for it. Get priorities straightened out. How is it even legal to fair w masks than profit off of them?
Cory Hill: We have enjoyed bringing our first born here and plan to continue! The office is cute and the staff is friendly, patient, they listen/share concern, and are very knowledgeable. Dr. Sadhishkumar has been wonderful! She has listened to all my concerns big and small and provides helpful suggestions to support my daughter’s growth. I really appreciate the care given to her and the help provided to me!
Madalina Hill: If you want your kids to be treated by a caring pediatrician, do not waste your time with Dr. Hart at capital area pediatrics because you will be very disappointed. My kids had been under her care for 5 years and this last year something changed in her. I don’t know if it was the pandemic or personal issues, or she just got sick of us, but she started to treat us the same way many others have complained about her.She is rude, condescending, talks down to you like you’re wasting her time, and has no personal bedside manners whatsoever. I’ve never met anyone working with children with such a cold heart. We asked her to release a medication form to my sons school so they could give him Motrin if and when he got a fever, since he has a history of febrile seizures. This is something she had done for us in the past. Something so simple turned into a huge deal for Dr. Hart. She first tried to send us to his neurologist, then when we couldn’t find a time that worked with both our schedules to do a telehealth appointment she messaged me on the portal saying “I’ll just message you on here so you don’t have to inconvenience your schedule”. I asked her why this was such a hassle for her and wondered if she still wanted to be my kids pediatrician. To which she replied “your discharge from the practice will be forthcoming”. When we went to the owner to mediate the situation they told us it was up to Dr. Hart to keep us in the practice. My son and daughter were both sick and they told us they could no longer cere for them. Capital area pediatrics gave this woman the power to kick us out for NOTHING. I have never in my life met someone so cold hearted, to kick my kids to the curb over a disagreement. Shame on Dr. Hart and shame on capital area peds for accepting this unprofessional, unacceptable behavior to happen. This would never be allowed in any other health care setting. It’s clear capital area peds DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR KIDS WELLBEING. My kids deserve better. I would recommend Great Lakes Pediatrics or Pediatric Care of Lansing, which both have way better reviews.
Jennifer Himebaugh: We are so thankful to have an incredibly talented pediatrician in Dr. Sadhishkumar. She is patient and reassuring, and always spends a lot of time with us to make sure all our concerns are taken care of. We credit Dr. Sadhishkumar with diagnosing my daughter's celiac disease early on. She instinctively knew the right testing she needed when another practice failed to find a solution. Celiac disease is very often misdiagnosed. Because of her expertise we were able to get my daughter's body healed and on the right path for a healthy life. We were devastated when she moved practices, so it was not even a question that we would follow her to CAP. The staff at CAP has always been friendly and helpful.
Rachel Beach: Dr. Poomathi Sadhishkumar is a phenomenal pediatrician! She has been my children’s pediatrician since we moved to the area in 2012. She is very friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and takes her time answering your questions/concerns during an appointment. She is never dismissive or acts as if your questions/concerns are unnecessary. When addressing a health issue/concern, she has recommended a natural approach, such as diet changes before writing a prescription, which I find amazing. She will not pressure you to make an immediate decision that you are uncomfortable with. Instead, she will provide you with informational brochures or refer you to certain reputable websites to read into the topic further so you can make a well-informed decision. When her office receives reports that my children have been to an urgent care or ER, on many occasions she has personally called to see how my children were doing. Love this about her! I can honestly say that she truly cares about her patients and their well-being.When we found out last year that she was moving to Capital Area Pediatrics, there was no question about it, we were going to transfer our children there as well! She has been the best physician my children have ever had. Any medical office would be lucky to have her on their team.Thank you Dr. Sadhishkumar for always being supportive and there for my children 3
singireddy venkataramana reddy: I would recommend capital area pediatrics and Dr.Sadishkumar. She has been seeing my 18 months old since the week he is born and she is friendly and understanding and explains every detail on what to and what not to. She even follows up to check on the baby if we had any concerns.
Swathi Chitrapu: The doctor we see is Dr. Shah, who is good .But They make you wait forever. When you have booked an appointment for a particular time , why don’t you see the patient during that time, then why take the pain of booking appointments? The appointment time would be 3 pm , we would arrive 10 mins early asking permission from work , they make you wait outside for 30 mins and when you go in , the nurse does all the talking and makes us wait inside for another 30 mins for the doc to come see us . Finally the doctor comes and talks for less than a minute. Please don’t book appointments when you can’t see us in that slot , I mean I understand you have other patients to see but change our slot don’t make us wait . It’s not easy .
Shawntell Trigenis: Dr. Sadhish Kumar has been our children's pediatrician since they were very young and we have stayed with her all these years, even after her move to Capital Area Pediatrics, as a result of her compassionate and thorough care. My husband is also a physician so he is very particular about our children's pediatric care and he is very happy with Dr. Sadhish Kumar. Upon our first visit to her at Capital Area Pediatrics, we found the staff to be very professional, helpful, and friendly, making the transition as patients there completely seamless.
Supriya Rathinasabapathy: Dr.Sadhishkumar Poomathi is primary care for both my kids for 4+ years. We are very satisfied with her as our kid's pediatrician. She diagonalizes health issues correctly and knowledgeable. Very friendly. Patiently gathers information for diagnosis. Proactively gives suggestions. Follows up through office on how kids are doing while kids are sick/recovering. Very satisfied with her. My daughter had weight issues when she was an infant. The pediatrician then for my daughter scared us with her assessment on my daughter's weight issue and her suggestions were practically very tough. As a parent, this was the toughest time in my life. We changed to Dr.Sadhishkumar at this time. Dr.Sadhishkumar gave good suggestions and morally supported us at this time. Did not scare us with her diagnosis about the weight issues. My daughter is still lean but healthy. I recommend Dr.Sadhishkumar as a pediatrician.
Sai Shakti: Dr. Sadhishkumar is very caring, friendly, patient and most importantly listens and understands parent’s problems. She has been PC for my son since he was a week old. I would definitely recommend her to others who are looking for a good primary care doctor for their child.
Jay Krefman: We are very happy with Dr. Sadhishkumar. She is responsive, caring, and comprehensive with our two sons.
Sri Subhaasini: Dr. Sadhishkumar is really the best doctor . She treats my daughter from day 7 . She address all the concerns politely and patiently. After a visit she calls back to check if her patient is doing good . Also she does Telehealth. I would strongly recommend her
K B: After almost 12 years as patients with two children since birth, we have been dismissed as patients from Capital Area Pediatrics. I received a call from an unpolished office person indicating since I haven’t brought my daughter in for a well child check in almost 4 years that we were in violation of their office policy. This is the first time in four years I have been told this and since my daughter was not due for any immunizations, I would not take her in and unnecessarily expose her to anything (covid, etc.). Also, even though we hadn’t been in specifically for well child checks, we have been there for other appointments.During the call, the office person indicated, rudely, that it is the doctor’s discretion to dismiss us as patients and feeling helpless, I requested that Dr. Hart call me. Not surprisingly, I did not receive a call from Dr. Hart, but a week later, I received two unsigned letters indicating my son and daughter were no longer patients and it would cost $29/each for their medical records to be transferred. After receiving the letters, my husband left two voicemails a week apart for the office manager that went unreturned. It’s unfortunate because we like and really trust Dr. Hart and Kay, but there is an issue with how this office is treating their patients.
Krystal Carpenter: Five doctors have left this practice in 4 years!! My daughter is 4 and she’s had a new doctor every time we go in there! They promise they are staying then bam out of the blue no note nothing just oh here’s a new one! My daughter had surgery without having a primary pediatrician because they were in between doctors. The only doctor there that sent a heartfelt letter explaining why he was leaving was Dr. Koon. We loved him! I wish he didn’t go out of state because we would have followed him! Also when leaving this office for one that has primary doctors that don’t leave, Capital Area Peds CHARGES YOU $29 for they to transfer your electronic records to the new office!!!!
Sarah Carlson: We used to love Capital Area Peds. But they discharged us after 10 years because I used foul language on the phone with the front desk lady, But who wouldn’t when...A Peds office goes through 4 doctors in less than 2 years. And when they finally find the one that promises your kids she’s not going anywhere she books it. And the office doesn’t tell you.But it’s wrong of me to be completely upset for my children and stand up for them.So they get booted.. and I’m left trying to find a new Peds office at the end of the year during a PANDEMIC 😷 in the middle of switching insurance, with a child that needs controlled meds...Thanks CAPI will say I do LOVE KAY the NP 🤟🏼❤️and Dr. Koon was amazing but I am very disappointed in the office as a whole!
Chad Waldron: Dr. Adams is the absolute best! We did not start with her but we are with her now and she is such a great match for our family. The staff of this practice is also super supportive, kind, and helpful. Highly recommend as first time parents.
Linda Kasdorf: Just got off the phone with capital pediatrics. They will no longer see my children because we refuse to see Dr. Shaw. 18 years ago she almost killed my oldest child. From Rotavirus. We took her in there for four days straight Dr. Mary Mora was not in but Dr. Shaw saw her. Once Dr. Mora was back she took a potassium blood draw it was dangerously low. My baby was in the hospital for almost 2 weeks and she wouldn’t wake up, thank God she finally did. So recently my son gets swimmers ear every time he swims, she diagnosed it as inner ear infection gave him anabiotic’s which didn’t work we took him to 98 point6 he got ear drops and it was better within 24 hours. Dr. Shaw doesn’t know what she’s doing and she’s putting babies at risk. We miss Dr Mora terribly. If you do see Dr. Shaw watch your babies closely.Thank you for your time.

Great Lakes Pediatric Associates: what do users think?
J Hicks: Dr Reynolds is the only pediatrician I would recommend, if you want to be respected for your right to choose what is in your child’s best interest. She is patient, knowledgeable and understanding. She is worth the wait in our opinion. Dr H is also great, and the P.A.
Tara Dean: Very poor customer service!! Their MAs hang up on you talk over you and don’t listen to what the parents have to say regarding their children. The receptionist staff is very unhelpful and rude as well. When you go wait for Dr. Reynolds, you wait hours on end. Then always leave with no medication or thing be resolved. Would not call in another medication for my daughter who was just seen last week wanted her to suffer all weekend. Apparently Dr.Reynolds owns the building and that’s her policy! All they want is your money that’s why they have you come back multiple times.FIND A DIFFERENT PLACE!
Daniel Sanchez: The Doctors are really great. But sometimes the people you deal with on the phone are rude and have no personality what's so ever.
Miriam Dean: Great doctors for my child. Very understanding of the medical decisions we make. The staff is kind and helpful.Never had to wait long for an appointment.
Kathryn Beerman: I will never suggest this office to anyone. The doctor once told me that there was no comparable formula to enfamil sensitive, and tried to suggest I put my children who are intolerant to full lactose on gentlease. She also calls my daughter “he” multiple times every appointment, and all though I can understand because she has a gender neutral name, but a doctor looks at information before they come into the room and whether a child is male or female should be something they know when they’re stepping into the room. I wouldn’t even be upset if it was an isolated incident, but every time? Come on. Do better. There are endless pediatricians for your children to go to… DO NOT GO HERE.
Jakob: The wait is completely insane. Expect to wait over an hour before seeing a doctor walking in the room. It can be so frustrating. For that point alone I don’t recommend.
Rebecca Batten: The staff and doctor have been nothing but friendly and attentive/thorough with my kids! We have been seeing doctor H (idk how to spell his last name lol) for almost a year since moving to the area.
Your Royal Majesty: I love the Drs. The wait is absolutely ludicrous, but that isn't the worst thing in the world. But the physicians assistant was awful. She was disrespectful every time we've had to see her. She will never attend to make child again. She completely misdiagnosed my child twice. Even when I voiced my concerns. When he should have had antibiotics, she gave him allergy meds. He was sick for over a month! She didn't even use a stethoscope or thermometer on him. Then no one would return any of my phone calls. I called repeatedly. Nothing.I am happy they stopped doing in house billing. Those people were liars and the absolute worst. But that's neither here nor there at this point. The front desk is MUCH better since it seems they cleaned house. But really, the 3 star is for the PA and the no phone calls. Don't see the the assistants if you don't have too. They are clearly unmanaged and not trained.
Ari Hall: Got insulted told me that I only wanted to get my child tested for autism for money got treated like complete trash by doctor still very unhappy individual will not be coming back
Em Brabant: I’ve always had a great experience with office staff and the doctors ! Usually can get me in same day if I have concerns with one of my boys
Monique Love: Every unprofessional don’t bring ur children here!
Amyrah Mohammed: Son had his 4 month appointment i called and said i was running late and that i would make my 15 min mark and they told me not to come then sent me a letter like they were concerend about his health smh if they were concerned they should have told me to make it there
Jacob: We just started taking our baby here just a couple months ago and are more than happy with the care they have shown us. It means a lot to us to have a doctor and office we can rely on and trust. Our 2 month old had a Covid scare and they even called us back on they’re day off not to mention it was a the day after the new year holiday. Thanks!
Karissa Siegrist: The care we receive from Dr Leslie Reynolds is great! And I appreciate that she respects our choice as parents to do selective vaccinations. However, I am continually frustrated with the running of the office. My daughter has never been seen in under an hour (even for simple weight check), my calls routinely go unanswered (we are asked to call before entering office and I will listen to the menu 3 times and then the call will hang up, this happens ALMOST every time I call), and there was even an occasion where my appointment was changed and only a voicemail was left, which I did not hear and when I showed up after taking work off I was forced to r/s because I was "late" by 10 minutes. I want to leave a 5 star review based on the care of doctor but do not feel like I can considering my dissatisfaction with everything else.
Marissa Aydelotte: My son was diagnosed with hand mouth and foot the doctor made me feel confident that my son was OK to return to school, and provided me a note stating it was okay for him to go to school. Then I am advised today that he is still highly contagious and it’s up to the school to determine whether he’s able to return or not. I guess I’m not understanding why a pediatricians office would recommend I am able to send my son to school if he is still contagious with a highly contagious disease. Then I was called by the medical assistant who was rude and snarky and gave me false information about my child stating I sent them to school sick when they didn’t even develop symptoms until Sunday evening. Very unprofessional
Stephanie Robertson: Horrible Horrible staff!!! On call Dr's don't even call back and the schedules are all messed up by who ever set them up. I wouldn't recommend this doctor's office to a single soul, needs to be inspected by the state and shut down!! Bad part is my son is only a month old and I've had nothing but issues!!!
Melanie Tenniswood: I waited an hour and a half with my two year old. Need I say more? I’m a pretty patient person but that is so unfair to do that to patients— particularly a toddler.
Brea “PeacefulMomof4” notdisclosed: Dr Leslie Reynolds is a blessing! She respects our right to delay/selective vaccination. She offers alternative ideas regarding treatments, supports our peaceful/attachment parenting style and has never once tried to sway our decision to keep all of our children intact. She truly cares about each and every one of my 6 children. We couldn't ask for a better pediatrician for them. We have been loyal patients for over 20 years.
Monica Conklin-Clark: Dont waste your time. Find another office! While the doctors are very thorough the office staff leaves much to be desired. I have been turned away from appointments twice.First time we had insurance issues and they would not see my 10 month old who had a fever of 103. We took him to Lansing Urgent Care who billed my insurance with no problem.Second time, my daughter had a med recheck appointment and also needed to be cleared to go back to school from illness. I called and asked them to see her for both items a week before the appointment. Darcy seemed confused at how the doctor can see a patient for two issues. I called again to see if the appointment could be accepted and was told that it is absolutely not possible even after I suggested they move the appointment to later in the week and schedule it longer to make sure there is enough time.I am sure they thought I was rude, I am just amazed and frustrated at there poor office management and policy. I will be filing a complaint with insurance company about the $$ grab they have going on.
Jamie Morrison: Thank you Dr. Reynolds for always listening to my concerns. I feel like you take them seriously and truly listen. You take past history into account for current issues, taking a whole body approach. I trust my children in your care as we work together for my children's health.
jeff annibal: Doctor does not care one bit about your child will row through the motions day in and day out just to get though the day I suggest you find another place to go

MSU Health Care Pediatrics | West Side: what do users think?
Alaiyah Morris: Been coming here for years. We love Dr Boote. However the admin staff at this office is atrocious. The receptionist Kim is a problem. She asked me if I knew how to spell 'Kim' I made a complaint to the office manager Megan and was discharged from the practice. She told me Kim has worked there for 15 years and no one has ever complained.Megan was argumentative and spoke over me every time I talked to her.The nursing staff sent the wrong prescription after my child was hospitalized and when I called back to speak to a nurse, Kim told me they were too short staffed for me to speak to anyone.I requested my children's records to find another provider and was told they don't give out records. I was discharged after I went to get the records in person, as it is illegal to hold records from a patient.I've called higher ups and no one has yet to return my call. I've left several messages. The 3 stars I left are strictly for Dr Boote's service. I hate they have that wonderful woman working w incompetent front office staff.
Sadie Neil: No matter when I call they’re always fully booked. The front staff is very rude and inconsiderate when it comes to urgency. I myself work in healthcare and know that people need be seen the same day sometimes. I feel that I have to bring my daughter to urgent care more than I can get her in to see her doctor.
Sarah Wright: The staff always makes our family feel as though we matter.
Alyssa Pung: I am HIGHLY disappointed in this pediatric office…For many reasons but I’ll touch on those after I tell you about my last experience with them. Yesterday they decided to give my child a vaccine that he was too old to start, that I did NOT want him having and did not inform me about before administering it. I asked the nurse before she came back with the vaccines what he was going to be getting that day. All she told me was the same stuff as last time. As I was super unsatisfied with that answer I just went with it because it is nothing new in that office I get zero answers to my questions. Then next thing I know she is putting something in his mouth…. That he did NOT have last time. Rightfully so I am heated about it. They put more toxins in my child that I did NOT want and that were administered for absolutely no reason because there is no study showing that starting the vaccine this late will even work.As a first time Mom they explain absolutely nothing to me. I have not once had a nurse tell me their name when they come in the room. Most of the staff are rude, not friendly or willing to answer questions you have. All I received was apologies from my last visit but that doesn’t change the fact they messed up. If the nurse would have took 2 seconds to have a conversation with me about the vaccines he was getting we could have corrected this error before it happened. They have lost me as a client for good. If you are looking for a pediatrician I advise you to look else where! I hope my review helps another mother with choosing a good office and it prevents this from happening to someone else.
Erin: Great staff, love Dr. Greenburg!
Monique Hosier: Great doctors but they have way too many patients and it is very hard to get scheduled. And they are accepting new patients when they can’t even handle the load that they have.
Kyeluhh D: Not very pleased with my visit today. This is a doctors office for KIDS and some of the people that work here are not very kid friendly. We came for my daughter’s shots and the nurse came in the room and was very cold and straight forward. My daughter was confused and nervous and it all happened so fast with very little communication other than her little vaccine speech she has to say before hand. And then slapped some bandaids on and said have a good day. This process took less than 60 seconds. She could of spent another 60 seconds making us feel comfortable and preparing my 5 year old for the multiple shots. We didn’t get a smile. How are you doing. What’s your name? What’s your daughters name? Didn’t explain the vaccines or nothing. Just shouting all these names at me like I know what they are for. Iv never had this experience at other pediatrics office. Just disappointed. I expected so much more from MSU peds. At minimum be kind and friendly to the child.
Nate Dykstra: Our daughter needed a new patient appointment before she starts school this fall. We made this appointment more than 6 months in advance. She had covid exposure, so we tried to reschedule, but now they won't give us an appointment until December. Now she may not be able to start at her new school.
Heaven Boyd: I liked this place until they repeatedly did not ask me consent to touch my sons genitalia. It made me extremely uncomfortable. Every single time I went there they called him a girl, multiple nurses, even the drs. How can you have my sons chart on a laptop infront of you and still call him a girl multiple times! Also I did not like how they put his race as white when he is Pacific Islander/black. I remember filling out his sheets and putting Pacific Islander on there. All the doctors here just seemed to want their money and did not take their time in any appointments to make sure they were being thorough or accurate with information and just wanted to move onto the next patient.
Michelle Atkins: We love MSU Westside. The docs are knowledgeable, the nurses are great, the staff respond quickly to messages online and they have good appointment availability—they can get us in for same day appointments when our kiddo is sick. I recommend them to anyone looking for a pediatrician.
Hanna Smith: Extremely upset with how we have been treated by this practice in the last 3 months. Our son is 3 months old, in that time we have been disregarded with our concerns completely. Our son was having issues keeping his formula down, we had a doctor tell us that he was not concerned with that until our son starts associating pain with eating until the point where he stops taking the bottle. Who says that? This is our child. We gave them another chance and called because our son is now congested and has a cough and been having a hard time breathing. We were told even if his covid tests comes back negative they will not see him and he just has to get over it himself. Im sorry but I thought you were a doctors office that treats sickness? Completely upset with the lack of empathy and emotion towards my son and his care. We will be going elsewhere.
michaella davis: I was pleased with how quickly we could be seen, but the very first comment that was made when the physician entered the room was “we didn’t think you were going to make it!” My appointment was at 2:00pm, we arrived at 2:01pm. I wasn’t aware we needed to arrive 15 min early for our visit. It snowed that day so my reply was “because of the snow?” because I genuinely didn’t know we were “late”. She proceeded to explain that for newborn visits we needed to be there early for the paperwork. Understandable, but they should put that in one or all of the text reminders they send our. Her comment made me very uncomfortable considering this was our first visit here. All communication I had via text said nothing about arriving early, or I would have. She later asked if anyone smoked in the home, after I stated no, she replied with “neither of you?” as if she didn’t believe me. Felt judgmental especially after being told we were late unintentionally. Even after I said no smoking in the home, she still proceeded to tell us the risks of second hand smoke. Everyone from the front desk, nurse and physician were extremely dry and seemed as if they were ready for the day to be over. Very sterile behavior. Not warm and fuzzy like you would expect from a pediatricians office. After getting the baby dressed we walked out of the room, not one person looked up to say “have a nice day” or “thank you for coming in”. Not welcoming, at all.
Aubree Rogers: I have been giving this for the past three years but had our final straw today. From the very beginning, we had to push a certain doctor to take us serious about a possible dairy allergy. We were brushed off and told that as first time parents we think everything is wrong- I know that can be true. It wasn't until weeks after, when the doctor was able to witness what we had been saying for WEEKS were we taken seriously and they did move quickly to assistance. Throughout the three years, a few times the word close to overweight was thrown around for a baby, even when she was 8 months old. Just today, the word obese was mentioned IN FRONT of our 3 year old daughter. She is a picky, healthy eater. And now I have to discuss with my THREE YEAR OLD CHILD what the word obese means and why the doctor called her that. This has been my last straw with a specific doctor and will be actively looking elsewhere.
Bobby Perry 4: This practice does not care about your children! Their only concern is money!! 👎
Etosha Abdul Hameed: The providers are very kind and available to make sure the correct care is received. They treat me and my children with respect and are very unsunderstand.
Michoacana suarez: Hello, I want to express that today, December 9, 2019 I had a very unpleasant experience I had to go to a consultation at 6 in the afternoon, with my little daughter I must mention I do not speak English reason why I felt the pediatrician expressed racism towards us as well as disgust and bad disgust for having to attend to us cause it was very uncomfortable even when I left I could not help crying for the obvious treatment that I felt in this person my question is when you do not feel love to that mouth because you do not look for another if it is so annoying to have that dealing with sick people and from different countries because not only not exercising this profession is disappointing all this situation. This is not unique because we are treated with disgust and difference😢😥
Brad Treanor: Find another place, don't waste your time here. Your just another number...did finally get a front office person who doesnt make you feel like you interrupted her day though...so that's why they get one star.
Annie Goodrich: Once you get past the front desk this office is great . Doctors are awesome !!Front desk lady is just plain awful !!! I understand they are always busy but you do not have to treat clients the way she does.
Danielle Hill: We have been taking our kids to MSU pediatrics for 5 years. We started out at the Okemos office and switched to Westside when our doctor moved. We love the westside office and all the doctors there. The wait times are extremely reasonable, and they are often able to see us same day for urgent issues. You do have to plan months ahead for annual checkups - so don't procrastinate.
Hannahlee Hawker: Always running very behind despite having patients arrive 15 minutes early to every appointment. Male doctor told my happy healthy 6 year old daughter shes overweight and needs to diet. Staff not very friendly. Very difficult to get an appointment. Would not recommend.
Kassandra Jo: I have been taking my kids here since my oldest was born 10 years ago. We LOVE Dr. Root and Dr. Boote! They are great doctors. I have never had a problem with getting a same day if needed, as long as you call as soon as they open, and if I have questions I leave a message and the nurses and/or doctor always call back to go through the situation. The doctors are amazing, the nurses are great and the front desk staff is good.

MSU Health Care Pediatrics | DeWitt: what do users think?
Jaclyn Hooks: I’m very disappointed in this pediatrician office. We have been coming here for two and a half years for my son and we recently had a daughter who has had a couple appointments here. Our daughter (one month old) started feeling sick over the weekend. She was vomiting, had a stuffy nose, and was extremely fussy. We didn’t know what was causing it. I called the office first thing Monday morning and was on hold for 30 minutes. I asked the receptionist if she could be seen that same day. I was told that there were no openings and she would have to wait to be seen on Wednesday. After describing her symptoms to the receptionist, she told me that the nurse would call me back and they would see what they could do. After 2 hours, my husband decided to drive her over to the office. He spoke with the nurse and she said the doctors were booked and she couldn’t be seen. She didn’t come around the desk or even look at her. Later that same day, we learned that she had a milk allergy. We will not be coming back to this pediatrician office after this experience.
Bonnie Brown: It is next to impossible to get a sick appointment because MSU Peds are so overbooked. When you do get in, the doctor is rude and uncaring.
Marie Assaf: terrible doctor. Body shaming an 11 year old and calling her obese? Telling her you could fix her? If you love your child DO not go here!!
Elise Murphy: Doctor was incredibly rude, unprofessional. Horrible bedside manner. Told my 11 year old daughter that she was obese-there are much kinder ways to discuss weight with an 11 year old girl that doesn’t contribute to body image issues later on in life. Jesus Christ.
Nate Dykstra: MSU Peds does not treat you and your little one like a priority. They are constantly overbooked; getting seen for an ear infection took 2 weeks, and we had to go to the location across town. Getting in at our preferred location would've taken 6 weeks. That said, most of the doctors we've worked are pretty good. It would be nice if we could have some consistency, though. It's a different doc every time, even when booking months in advance.
Rheyn Williams: We have had positive experiences with all the doctors and staff in this practice, but it's extremely frustrating to have to go through their answering service in order to schedule an appointment. Recently and more than once, I've sat on hold for 20+ minutes and left a message, just to never receive a call back. Make subsequent appointments when you're in the office if at all possible (the only reason I didn't in this instance was that they did not have the schedule available yet when I was there.)
Amanda Odem: I drive 45 minutes from my home to bring my sons here!! All the doctors are so competent and caring! Dr. Christensen is truly a godsend! Thank you all so much for providing such great service and compassion!
Peter Myers: Our 16-yr-old twins have been patients with MSU Ped's for sixteen years. Dr. Greenberg was our favorite throughout their early years, helping us through asthma and issues pertaining to prematurity. He could always make us smile. The nursing staff have, at times, felt like favored aunts. There are several wonderful women who have taken care of us at not just the Dewitt location but also the offices on Saginaw and in Okemos. There are very few con's when it comes to MSU Ped's - these are more helpful tips than complaints. Make sure you schedule your yearly wellness exams WAY far in advance if you can. Those appointments seem few and far between, and you'll end up waiting months past when you prefer. Also, keep an eye on your prescriptions. Your refills will run out before your next appointment, and they take several days to call in a prescription order.
momma bear: Worst pediatrics EVER wouldn't let my husband into the appointment even though I can't lift my son's car seat due to my weight restrictions but I seen four or five other mother's with their husbands or boyfriends come into the office and had their visit while my husband was told he wasn't allowed to come in. Then I heard one of the ladies behind the desk tell a lady over the phone that if she had a c-scetion then the father could come in but if not then he couldn't. But yet I had a c-section and they wouldn't let me. Front desk ladies are completey RUDE asking me personally questions that don't pertain to my son. Doctors are rude and too nosy and then hinted around that they felt I was neglating my child like what the heck. like i said will NEVER GO BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!
Maureen Monahan: I have had my child seen here for 11 years. All of the staff has been outstanding, professional and concerned. My child has received excellent medical care from this team. I would never take her anywhere else!
Brooke: My twin boys usually see Dr. Benbow. She is always kind a professional. She never makes the appointment feel rushed and answers our (many) new-parent questions. Also, I believe one of the doctors in the practice saved my son’s life. Unfortunately, I cannot remember who I spoke with. On Memorial Day, 2020, my 12-day-old seemed lethargic and his temp was a bit low. She advised we go to the ED. He ended up being admitted to the PICU for five days for meningitis. I will be forever grateful for this doctor.
Savannah Anderson: I love love love them! My poor baby wasn’t feeling good and I was nervous so they told me same day to bring him in ASAP. Even though he was just teething they still made me and my baby a priority. That meant so much to me that they treated the situation urgently and seemed to care so much. Thank you! ❤️
Klik Here: We have been using MSU Ped Dewitt office since 2013. The doctors have been quite nice and provided care that helped our kids through many illnesses and health needs. I have two significant concerns and one important compliment:-The scheduling of a prompt visit when a child is sick is not an option here. You will be scheduled to see a doctor the next day or possibly several days later. It didn't used to be this bad when we first started coming here. This is unacceptable for a pediatrics office. Now that our kids are older we have resorted to using urgent care offices.-As long as we've been coming here, one of the front desk staff attendants has been rude. I'm not talking about the common "business attitude" type rude, I mean that she is frequently in a state of irritated. I avoid her. She is callous and willfully unhelpful. I believe everyone that works here knows this, how could they not. I spend a few hours a year in this waiting room and random phone calls every other month conversing with her. Maybe she has personal reasons for her attitude, if that's the case then I can accept it. Not everyone has the ability to come to work happy, that's okay, I just feel the combination of long wait times and the rude attitude is too much to accept here. I am very sorry for this harsh critical review, I don't like to point someone out like this but it seems after 6 years this should have been resolved. New parents researching offices deserve to know.+Just to be fair, the other front desk staff person is awesome! She is fast to help in any way she can. Frankly, she deserves a huge pay raise. Truly.I value her help more than the doctors. She has never been anything but pleasant, sweet, and happy to help. Thank you kind lady, you are a treasure. You are the reason we continue to stay with MSU Pediatric Dewitt.p.s. Your initial robot message when calling in is WAY TOO LONG! Please reduce it to a shorter message.
Traci Good: So i have never been to this office! I take my kids to Okemos office because the doctors and nurses are amazing. So i am writing this review because...last year my daughter needed her calcium checked because she was diagnosed with Williams Syndrome. I was new to ger diagnoses. It was an over due thing. Her regular doctors office was booked so that day they asked if i would go to Dewitt office. Never been in Dewitt i said yes I’ll gps it. GPS had me in circles. So getting lost i call to let them know i have no idea where i am. The receptionist said no worries. So finally i get there. About 10 minutes late and the lady says you’re late. Yes i know i talked to you. No it must of been someone else and she is not here so I can’t say you talked to her. So she goes and asks the doctor. I could hear them talking and he says “no she is late i am not seeing her”. Turned me away. Great thank you! I would never recommend this place! I called 15 minutes before my appointment because i had no idea where i was. I understand timing, but it was rude and i have never experienced this in my life.
Amber Beatty: I love the two doctors we see there: Roote and Christensen however, I am not fond of any of the others the other ones they make it seem like they are too busy for you and don't care to hear your thoughts or opinions, definitely have the "doctor" mentality. And whoever the older lady is who answers the phones and checks you in is the rudest most unpleasant person ever. I work in a dental office so I know how front desk staff should treat patients and she is horrible, always snappy, cutting you off and seems like she can't be bothered, at one appointment I went to schedule my sons next visit and was told she was too busy right now so I would need to call her back later, completely unprofessional. Also, when I went to reschedule an appointment I got pushed basically five months out. That's poor business practice especially since when you get there you have a horrendous wait before you even see anyone. Don't get me wrong I know how scheduling goes, but five months is a little in excess maybe they should look at extending hours or adding more doctors. This is why whenever my kids are sick I always have to end up taking them to the urgent care instead of their primary because of the scheduling issues. If they could figure out scheduling issues and train the front desk lady a little more I wouldn't mind giving a better review but right now the two doctors we see are the only good things about this place.
Justine Friedman: They answer the phones promptly, however, they aren't able to make appointments in any amount of decent time frame. They are great if they are able to schedule you. I don't recommend them at this time.
Tyler B: Pursuing other options due to consistently poor scheduling and friendliness/service (non-care related).
Audrey Thelen: We have had great luck with the doctors at Dewitt MSU Peds office for both of our children. However, there have been numerous times we have had to wait more then 30 mins. It is very difficult to wait long periods of time with a toddler and a newborn. It also takes away from our limited amount of family time we have all together on week nights. On 1-3-18, my husband was there with both children waiting for an appt for a half hour before he was told it would be another 30-45 minutes just to get out of the waiting room. I would at least appreciate a phone call before we leave the house, so we can reschedule. Or at the very least let us know when we get there that the doctors are running behind. I understand that things happen, but this is all too frequent. We are giving the office one more chance, before moving on to another.
Danielle Strouse: I really like the doctors at this office and have no issues once I'm there but the fact that on more than one occasion they have had NO appointments to see my sick child that same day is absolutely ridiculous. I'm told to call back later and hope that they unfreeze the schedule for the next day, which is completely useless.
Vaughn T.: Our own doctor there is quite competent. Our first appointment went very well. I can only give them two stars because I have had difficulty reaching the front desk. When I reached the front desk the first available appointment was four plus days out. When my child eventually got there, she DIDN'T get to see her own doctor. Some intern or another who hadn't even bothered to read her file saw her and nearly left my wife in tears because he was so rude. I am exploring other options. The point of establishing a child with a pediatrician is to build relationship, so the doctor gets to know the patient and can see them when they're sick. I haven't found that to be true there.
David Waligora: They have been great to and for our infant son. I'm glad that we chose them. Dr. Christensen is very professional and good with our child.
