kim sollid: Dr. Colony did my breast reduction last month (Nov 2022) and to say I'm happy with it would be an understatement. I had my consult in March & right from the very beginning he made me feel very comfortable and answered all my questions. I never felt uneasy about the procedure. When I was in the hospital for surgery I was pretty anxious, however as soon as he came in and started marking me up I felt complete ease. He explained to me exactly what would be happening. My post-op experience has also been nothing short of incredible. I'm so happy I chose Dr. Colony!

Now as a teenager, a pesky stitch kept protruding out and becoming infected time and time again. My primary referred us to UofM Pediatric Plastic Surgery who wanted to sedate her and do an invasive and risky surgery to remove the stitch. I consulted Dr. Colony for a second opinion. Upon our consult visit, he grabbed tweezers and removed the stitch on the spot! He then refused to charge me a cent. I left with happy tears. That was three years ago and we have not had any issues since. He is a true gentleman with an honest heart.

Jay Aldrich: I just had a revision done for gyno on the right pec, and Dr. Colony is the best. He didn't charge me for the revision, and the whole experience was delightful. Everyone on his staff was very helpful, cheerful, and informative. When I woke up after the surgery, his wonderful nurse fed me Gatorade flavored ice, pushed me to my car where my ride was waiting, and made sure I put my seat belt on. Also the anesthesiologist was awesome. Him and I were laughing and talking about running the iron man and being active, and next thing I knew I was sleeping. I woke up in very little pain from the surgery. I would highly recommend him.

Gracie Calaway: I moved to Michigan almost a year ago and have had Botox injections twice, both of them with poor results, so I was looking for a more reputable plastic surgeon in my area. I had my first experience about 3 weeks ago with dr colony. He gave me a syringe of Botox injections. He told me to let him know after a couple of weeks if the injections were working. Unfortunately they were not. He had me come in yesterday to discuss options. He told me that after time you can build up a resistance to the proteins in Botox and it will stop being effective, so he thought to try xeomin. He gave me the injections (quickly) and when I went out to pay, he waived the charges and said that in a couple weeks if I don’t get the reaction I want, to come back and he will try dysport. The fact that the Botox did not work was not his fault, apparently my body just didn’t react the way it should, so it was unnecessary for him to cover $350. I used product so I should’ve at least paid something. I was impressed by that. His staff is very helpful and Dr. Colony himself is as well. He is the first doctor I’ve been to that has done something generous like that. I would recommend him to anyone, more for the fact that he is knowledgeable and experienced. Thank you Dr. Colony

Obviously, he doesn't want my business, so I am looking elsewhere after wasting over a year of my time.

All surgeries when well and, I have been recovering quickly than I expected.Dr. Hintzman explained the entire process clearly and, I felt he really cared about my health and, the success of the surgery.The entire staff was excellent. Friendly and, helpful.I would recommend Dr Hintzman and his staff to anyone who needs carpal tunnel or cubital tunnel surgery.

Lora Bruder: If you expect and want a doctor to follow CDC guidelines this is NOT your man. My appointment with Dr Hintzman this morning was extremely disappointing. To begin with upon arriving I found out he schedules two people at a time for the same time every 15 minute increments. There is NO temperature check. He has magazines on the table in his waiting room. No easy social distancing in the very small waiting room. There is NO SANITIZING in the exam room between patients. When I asked about this he said “probably not” and proceeded to take out a Lysol spray and started to spray the exam chair. The smell of Lysol is horrendous. I told him to stop because I’m allergic to fragrances. At that juncture he suggested that his office probably wasn’t a good fit for me. I agreed and left. Any doctor that doesn’t follow CDC guild lines for Covid 19 needs to close down or change! He is putting the public and any patient who enters his office in danger. I gave him a 1 because his office staff member I dealt with was very kind. HOWEVER, they put two people in the exam rooms who had came into the office after me. That was an issue I had to deal with before seeing the doctor and experiencing our dialogue about sanitizing the exam chair. Terrible. Just a very experience. The staff and doc did wear a mask.

Amy Mishler: Dr. Hintzman was very professional. I get basal cell cancer spots frequently. I had many sunburns as a child. He twice excised skin from my forehead 4 years apart from the same area preforming a skin flap surgery the 1st time and during the 2nd surgery had the help of a pathologist on site to reduce size and ensure that all of the tumor was removed. Great personality. Excision site looks really great for what my forehead has had done. Basal cell loves my skin.

Ashley West: He did my carpal tunnel surgery, I’m very satisfied with the outcome of the surgery, his office is very clean, not along wait time to see him, his staff is friendly, and helpful. I really like that Dr. Hintman gets right to the point. FYI his office is on the bottom floor. Take the elevator down one level. The building doesn’t specify that very well.

Brittani Bivins-Staley: This was the most disrespectful doctor! He was cold when he walked in and it got worse from there. He took 2 minutes to look at my chest and automatically said I didn't qualify then walked out. I had to go and request his presence back in my room so I could have a conversation with him about why he would feel this way because be never asked me why my doctor would refer me or even wanted to listen to what my symptoms are that brought me to this place. It is as if he doesn't want to work to help clients who may not be the stereotypical type to come in for this procedure because they aren't the size he would like to perform services. He would like to be able to file for insurance and be automatically approved rather than go through a process of actually doing real research with a client and providing adequate documentation for a procedure.There was one receptionist there that was very nice though but his female nurse I'm guessing was also very cold like he was so birds-of-a-feather.
