Pam's Preschool Program: what do users think?
Pamela-Seger Harrell: My granbabies went and are going here it is the best
ANGEL DIVINE: The absolute WORST place to send your child!!!!! If you love your child, this is not the place! The education part is phenomenal.. 😒😒😒😔😔😔😔😔 I only gave it 1 stars bc I had too! They get NO stars for me! Some of the teachers are GREAT! The director.............. smh
Rachel McGill: My children went here for two years with no problems. I receive assistance from the state of Michigan. The state choose not to pay the center for two weeks out of July and I was working with the state to try and get the payment to the center. I went as far as starting to request a hearing for the matter. The owner Pam felt that their time frame was to long and demanded a payment for those two weeks or I would have to pull my children. She accepts the DHS payments she should except their time frame on getting this handled. I processed to walk away from her and she continued to discuss my case with a random stranger. I brought to her attention that what she was doing was wrong and she threw my children out that moment for her wrong doing. The teachers are wonderful but the way she runs her business is awful! Id advise that if you get any assistance from the state of Michigan watch out because she made me and my children feel less than normal because so.

St. Gerard Preschool and Childcare: what do users think?
Rebecca O'Connell: Positive:Communication,QualityEverything you would ever want for your preschooler can be found here! Love the all day and aftercare options for working parents. My 4 year old started reading on her own after having all the building blocks put in place at St. Gerard Preschool.
Lauren Mayoral: St. Gerard Preschool was a great fit for our children! They had wonderful preschool years filled with academic, spiritual, and emotional growth. We were very impressed with the preschool staff and it is evident that they are dedicated, knowledgeable, and passionate about early childhood education; working hard to create a warm and welcoming environment to its students and their families. We are so happy to be part of the St. Gerard family!
Katie Wenstrom: I have been so impressed with St. Gerard Preschool! The teachers and staff are professional, friendly, and truly seem to enjoy their jobs and my daughter is excited to get up and go to school every day. They’ve been great at communicating, especially during the ever-changing pandemic challenges, and have made sure that parents know what’s going on and have the tools needed for continuing learning at home when in-person learning isn’t possible. They also do an excellent job of balancing both academic and religious teaching, and instilling a sense of independence and responsibility in the kids.
Becky C: St. Gerard's Preschool staff has done a phenomenal job at keeping the parents informed and the students safe while learning in-person during the pandemic. We appreciate their dedication to providing a high quality, faithfilled preschool experience amidst the changing regulations. We have been extremely pleased with Mrs. Hyzer's ability to relate to the kids and teach our Catholic faith in the classroom!

Educational Child Care Center: what do users think?
Hope Baker: This daycare is so professional and is very understanding about everything. I feel very safe leaving my child here. They use such great approaches to help kids and the teachers are so professional and understanding as well. My son has such a blast here and loves it.
Erin Buitendorp: I recommend EC3 wholeheartedly, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. They have been the utmost professional and proactive in their response and communication. They adhere to the strictest safety and sanitation protocols and it shows. Since returning our child, he has thrived in Toddlerland and I am grateful for the tutelage his teachers provide him and us! The quality curriculum is evident and appreciated. The teachers are treated as valued educators and this makes a noticeable difference. I know each day our child is receiving excellent care which eases our minds as we work from home to provide for our family.

AppleTree Early Care and Preschool-East Lansing: what do users think?
Brooke: The outstanding staff at Appletree took excellent care of my twins for a year and a half. Our twins truly felt at home there. Highly recommend.
Jessica Flowers: I would like to recognize the Appletree staff for the dedication and hard work they’ve put in over the past year during this pandemic. As someone who has experience working in childcare for several years, I can’t even imagine the added stress of being an early childhood care provider right now. Our daughter has been at Appletree for over a year and we’ve been happy with our choice to send her there. All of her teachers have been so kind and embrace her big emotions. She has been in three classrooms so far and we’ve had great experiences from infant through toddler. When we toured local daycares, we were underwhelmed by other centers and we were becoming discouraged as we continued our search until we toured Appletree. We chose Appletree because it is clean and welcoming, has a wide variety of toys/activities/learning centers in each classroom that promote independent, parallel and interactive play, and they offer several enrichment options as well. They have live classroom cameras and an app the updates in real time which weren’t even available in some of the other centers we toured. Everyday we are acknowledged by several staff members at drop off and pick up, even staff members that don’t directly work with my child know who she is and greet her by name. I know several reviews on here have complained about staff turnover, but staff turnover in daycares has always been high, even when I worked in the industry back in the early 2010s. Being a daycare teacher is a demanding job and not everyone is a good fit for it, or not a good fit at that particular center, or people use daycares to gain experience and then find another job in education. It’s easy for people to judge from the outside, but when you have a true understanding and appreciation for childcare, you know just how much care and attention goes into being a provider for young children. If you are looking for a reliable, enriching childcare option, I encourage you to check out Appletree.

Mary Manuel: Our daughter attended Appletree for almost two years. We were pretty happy the first year or so. When she moved to the toddler room, she was not happy and she was sick CONSTANTLY. We were happy to get her started in a real preschool. She really blossomed when she left.
Laura Osminski: I cannot even begin to explain how wonderful Appletree is! We are in our 6th week there with our infant and I am continually floored by the superior experience we have. Every single person that we have encountered, from teachers to front staff to the program director has been outstanding. Being a new Mom I have had a bazillion questions and they are ALWAYS patient with me. They were a wonderful help with the transition to daycare and I know my son is in the best of hands. His teachers in his room are top notch and I feel safe and secure every single day that I drop him off. They are diligent with their reports, they offer tips if needed, and treat my son as if he was their own. The amount of stimulation that my son receives at 11 weeks old is fabulous. They sing, read books, and do tummy time. We are even learning a few words in sign language to use with him. I just cannot say enough positive and pleasant things about Appletree. I am forever grateful to have been referred to them and I cannot wait to see what is to come for my son.
Tara Jock: Absolutely love Appletree! My oldest son has been enrolled for 3 years, my youngest son for just over a year. The staff is wonderful, very caring and nurturing. The classrooms are always clean, and they have lots of fun activities for the kids. There are many fun family events they host as well. I could NOT pick a better place for my children to go. They have learned so much and I know they are in great hands. No better feeling for a parent than that!
L Polanco: The room my son was in had constant staff turnover. Most days I didn't have a clue of who would be taking care of my child. This is a pure day care center with minimal emphasis on learning. Kids are just roaming in circles for the majority of the time with the occasional book reading, music, etc. The rooms my son has been at were run down, dirty and depressing. The food was terrible. If you are looking for a "learning center" I'd go elsewhere. If you need convenience and the ability to drop a kid with no worries about time, etc. and you don't care much about what she/he does or who takes care of her, then this is your place.
Travis Haney: Appletree is a second home for our family. All four of our children attend this school, so we have exposure to many different aspects of the center. From Infants all the way up to Kindergarten-prep, the staff/administrators are wonderful. Their curriculum is age-appropriate, and the extra programs are excellent. In addition to their normal pre-school activities, my children have learned sign language as infants, hear live music regularly, explore outside daily, and have yoga and soccer classes weekly. I can't imagine sending my family anywhere else.
Andrea Ruehle: My husband and I were seeking daycare services when we had some friends recommend Appletree Christian Learning Center. From initially speaking with the staff to ultimately enrolling our child, we were impressed beyond belief. The experienced staff, specially designed curriculum and the willingness of the center to work with both the children and their parents to ensure a fantastic experience has made us never regret our decision to enroll. Our daughter has several special needs and the staff has always made her feel welcome and treated her like any ‘normal’ child. They continually go above and beyond to ensure her safety and continue to help her grow and develop alongside the other children in the classroom. They have even gone so far as to schedule special meetings, after hours, and bring in experts to help meet the needs of our daughter all while keeping the integrity of the center, the curriculum and safety of the other children as top priorities. The most rewarding part for us as parents is our daughter absolutely loves going to Appletree; so much so that she never runs past the front desk without getting hugs and kisses from the staff. She loves all her teachers, past and present and even requests her teachers by name when she is not there. She loves all the activities, especially music and reading time, and we love the structure it provides. We definitely feel because of the curriculum and structure Appletree provides, our daughter will be more prepared to enter kindergarten with the tools needed in a school setting.Appletree also has many special events for mothers, fathers and families. One of my favorites is the Christmas program they put on each year. The Children practice special songs and perform them in front of all the parents. It is truly adorable! Many other events keep things lively and interactive at the center all year long.Based on our experiences with Appletree, we will continue to recommend them to anyone seeking child care services.
mattimus: Thoroughly disgusted and disappointed. Much like another reviewer here, we had heard good things about the center. The problem appears to be the business practices of the Director and/or management. We did get some information out of them over the phone. We provided them with everything we were looking for. The age of our boys, when we needed to start, etc. Set up a tour. It wasn't until midway through the tour, oh yeah...forgot to mention. We don't have room for your kids. Ummm...so why are you wasting my time? Well we might have room later, you can go on the waiting list? Or we could maybe start one of your boys, but not both. We coudl put that one on the waiting list? Really?? If you're full...say you're full at the onset. Be respectful of someone's time. If they don't respect you when they're trying to lure you in, then what's the experience really going to be like once you're there? Oh well, guess it's really not our loss then. Next time...just be honest. You claim to be a Christian center, well act like it.
J K: I was given a good recommendation by a friend to check out this daycare. They do not give rates over the phone. As someone that has a demanding schedule, I would rather not waste time checking out a daycare if it's not within my budget. Seems like a silly rule? They couldn't possibly be charging parents different rates for the same services. I think this daycare should leave that sales tactic to car dealerships, perhaps, and not waste a busy parent's time.

Scribbles & Giggles Child Care Center: what do users think?
Hope Baker: Absolutely a terrible place to send your kids. My 3 year old said the teacher was being mean. They kicked him out after 2 weeks. He has never had a problem ever. They have no idea when teachers test positive for covid. They don't care about anything besides a check. DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE!!
Trinya McAfee: Don't bring your kids here because the daughter who works up front will be rude to you for no reason.
Robyn Baker: Horrible staff, have zero education in child development, understaffed. Will not work with you when problems occur and will hide behind a screen instead of fixing problems. Refuses face to face meetings to try and help. Do not take your kids here
Tiffany Hasbany: Very rude! Have been on waiting list for over a year called them several times every time was told something different. My spot on the waiting list has been given away several times and when I say something about it they tell me we’ll go somewhere else!
Iliana Zamora: Critical:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,Value
Blair Marie: Critical:Professionalism,Quality,ValueLazy daycare. Haughty and pretentious.
Sarah Jarvi: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,Responsiveness,ValueS&G cared for our little one for a few months but in that short time they became family. Our baby made great developmental strides while in their care and I always felt confident that she was in great hands. We will miss S&G and can't recommend them more!
Dustyn Coontz: I've had the chance to put my daughter in three excellent daycares. Scribbles and Giggles is the best yet. It's sometimes scary being a parent, but they have excellent security measures in place to keep the kids safe. It's also worrisome to think that your kid will not get enough energy or creativity out (leaving you to pay the price after a long day of work), but there is so much intellectual, creative, and physical stimulation for the kids. These are crazy times where divisiveness is around every corner, surrounding every issue, but my white daughter gets to spend time with people who don't look like her and gets to understand just from being around children of other ethnicities that diversity is an incredible thing. It's tough sending your child off to learn from other people when you don't know those other people or what will be taught, but my kiddo has only seemed to have ever picked up one bad habit from S&G––she came home saying "Go Green!" We were able to correct course and she now sings "Hail to the Victors" and says "Go Blue," so crisis averted. Other than that, she's only ever brought good things home (including telling mom and dad not to use "potty words"). My overall point: Scribbles & Giggles is great. Whatever legitimate concerns you have as a parent, the people at S&G should be able to assuage them. If you're thinking about what daycare in Lansing, MI is right for you, look more into Scribbles & Giggles. I'll wager you'll love it.

April Mae Cates: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,Responsiveness,ValueMy kids absolutely love this daycare! They are clean, friendly, active, and fun! They teach our children how to be independent as well as skills of life from a young age. I love it! The owner is super friendly and easy to talk to! I highly recommend!
Chad Morgan: Best daycare ever everything they do is awesome. my son loves it and he has been talking way more and using more words ever since he started. He is developing very fast and they have very friendly staff.
Christina Morris: My son just started last month and we love it, he enjoys going to daycare. Awesome staff!
sonia schumitsch: My son has attended Scribbles and Giggles since he was 3 months old, Brynn and her team do a tremendous job and I would not be able to work full time with peace of mind without them. I couldn't be more thankful to all the ladies for taking such wonderful care of my son.
Jasmine Stoudamire: Scribbles & Giggles Child Care Learning Center: Did a good job in promoting the learning and the play areas for all children of all ages. As an former employee, I did not like how the owner took the word over other employees without checking the situation- first.Remember there are two sides to every story.
