The Record Lounge: what do users think?
Azure: Cannot recommend the store enough as a go-to for quality vinyl albums and vintage Hi-Fi gear. Had to replace our family record player and amplifier after nearly 60 years, and was glad to be able to talk to such a knowledgeable staff to source a perfect replacement for both
Craig Albrough: This is easily my favorite place to shop for vinyl. Everyone is so friendly and helpful, and there's a great selection with new & used records coming in often. If you need equipment, they've got it too. Definitely check 'em out.
Sydney: Went here with my boyfriend for the first time. We both bought 2 vinyl each. One of each of ours was a random 1$ and the other was labeled as "new" albums and were in plastic. However, when we went to use our "new" vinyl they were so warped they were almost unusable. Im not sure if they stored them incorrectly at some point or what - but for new vinyl price I would expect them to actually work. Neither of us are sure if we will be going back.
heath mcbrayer: Good selection and fair prices.
Thomas Horton: Kindest people in the world.Bought 26 records from them. When one wasn't compatible with my turntable, they offered a full refund no hassle. Always warm and welcoming.
Sean Gordon: 1'st time there and it won't be my last. Very friendly people with a nice selection.
James Parker: Great Vinyl even better Owner. I love you mama Frarey!
Samantha Jay: Only woman-owned record shop in the state! Great selection, love the market the shop is in, and the man working the day I went was so kind! I went in looking for one album and left with six. The man working gave me a free tote bag with the logo on it to carry my purchase. So nice! Loved this place and will definitely be back!
Denny Williams: Awesome Record Store! Highly recommend.
Brent Cox: Nice record store, came with a want list for 4 popular bands and they were OOS on all 4 bands, I’m sure they can order though! There are a lot of different categories representing a small space, this made it confusing, and tiresome.
Shane Stiles: Solid selection, great atmosphere, a pleasure to chat with the staff. Great Lansing shop!
DougLife: Really nice people. I found a Billy Joel album I needed. Not saying this is a problem but, I think they should seperate the punk and the metal.
Mandie Bates: Love this place!
Jim Wilkie: Decent selection, friendly service.
Angela Sorrells: I must highly recommend shopping at The Record Lounge. Heather, the owner, is amazingly friendly and knowledgeable. If she doesn't have what you're looking for, she can often order it. She's done that for me recently. We've bought a lot of records from her over the years beginning when her store was in East Lansing. Over the years as she's relocated, we always follow.Newer releases, old classic reprints, original releases, and even a dollar bin. CDs, cassettes, T-shirts, etc. You'll likely find some treasures when you visit. Even if Heather isn't there, her staff is great. Definitely check them out.
bispymusic: Good spot with what appears to be a good selection. My main issue is that their shelves are so incredibly packed that it was very difficult to physically flip through them. They should trim their stock or buy more shelves.
David H: This place is bad for my wallet.
James Jackson: The Record Lounge is THE BEST place to buy vinyl records. They have a great selection, the prices are great, the atmosphere is always chill , and the staff is amazing. You can tell they love people as much as they love music. It's my favorite place to be in Lansing. Don't waste your time going anywhere else!
Kyle Halstead: Great little record store inside ReoTown. Has a nice selection of used and new records. The owner and staff are super nice and helpful. Definitely recommend a stop in if you're in Lansing.
Eric Rippke: Old school shopping, lots of variety
Ted F. Strassburg III: Very cool shop with old and new vinyl and cassette tapes. They have record players, amps and some Hi-Fi equipment as well. Worth checking out if you like vinyl.

Nathan Boisclair: Reputable record store established a long time ago, who cares, they have everything. I know because I just gave them my favorite records that I have collected for 20 years. They have every variety of music. Customer service is great. Location is convenient, parking in the back. Great music playing as you dig for your next piece. My favorite record store in Michigan.
Andy Smith: Love this place, big selection, some good metal!
Jason Emmons: Great place for cd's and records. Reasonable prices.
Great Lakes Narwhal Michelle Erskine: They have all the retro music
Ro Be: I heard it was the best in town and I was not let down. Wide variety of multiple medias and just a very cool place to stop and visit. I will be back. Plus free stickers and matchbooks to let the world know where you been!
Shayla Le: Everything was amazing except for the fact that some dude took the vinyl I wanted when I was looking at another section. Like come on bro
Samantha Jay: Cool vibe, lots of great records. Didn’t have the one I was looking for but I guess that means I’ll have to keep coming back to check :)
Ivon Rabêlo: A large amount of vinyls! ):
Joe Godby: Surprisingly good selection of vinyl and CDs
Eric Ray: This store has been around longer than I have been alive and I love this place!! Been going here since I was a child.Great selection of records for reasonable prices.
Denny Williams: Hella Cool Record Store! Highly recommend.
evan kelley: The employees are very helpful and knowledgeable
untuned: Super cool vinyl place they had what I was looking for!
Jakob Petrik: Quality music for a cheap price. I spent less than five dollars for three old Christmas records during the holiday season. The shop is small but very inviting. Guy behind the counter was friendly and helpful, and seems very enthusiastic about running the shop. Location is in a small interior mall space, up the stairs. Buying music from here makes a great gift at a really cheap price.
Steven Mccornack: This place is iconic within the East Lansing area, and for good reason. They have a FANTASTIC selection of vintage and new vinyl, and - unlike other stores - these albums are meticulously alphabetized, so as you surf through the bins, you rarely (if ever) have to wonder whether an album is actually in their inventory or simply misfiled. Their pricing is also EXTREMELY fair; especially for a locally-owned shop. Just yesterday, I scored an absolutely pristine copy of Joe Jackson's "Night & Day" for $2, and THE cleanest copy of Chicago's (double-LP) "CTA" I have EVER found on the used market for $10. I also scored an EXTREMELY rare and minty copy of ELP's original U.S. pressing of "Brain Salad Surgery" - the ONLY pressing that sounds spectacularly open and clear, rather than murky and dark. But beyond all that - and WAY more important - is that the owners possess unparalleled knowledge of music in general and their inventory of recorded music; both of which they're happy to share, if you simply ask. I'm pretty much a music fanatic myself, and I got into a debate with my son awhile back regarding whether I knew more about certain genres than the owners of FBC do. His response (and I quote): "There literally is a ZERO PERCENT chance that you know more than they do about ANYTHING related to recorded music." Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately), I think he's right. The FBC guys are basically the record shop guys from "High Fidelity" - without the snark, attitude, or snobbery. Do yourself a favor when you're in the East Lansing area, and stop by. Even if you're not a vinyl person, it's a blast to just see all of their offerings, listen to their playlist (which is mind-blowingly broad in scope), and chat them up. My ONLY concern regarding FBC is that they continue to thrive long into the future, as I simply can't imagine East Lansing without them.
Tim Luneack: Staff is helpful and the store has a huge selection from a wide genre of musical artist's.
Vampy Moon: It's amazing here, Me and my husband love it*There's something for everyone, and he's selection and prices are great*We will be long time customers 👍
