andrew claflin: I was skeptical at first about whether therapy would help my situation but after working with Mandi my knee is feeling much better. She took the extra steps in helping me stretch out the necessary muscles in my legs. I'm not at 100% yet but she helped me come up with a home plan of exercises to perform now that my 4 week therapy session has ended. Thanks Mandi! You rock!

Rachael Laskowsky: Day #6 and Day #7 I’m so thankful for Sparrow Peds Rehab. I’m thankful for our amazing team. I’m thankful for Mrs. Shannon and I am so thankful for her amazing dedication to my Hug. She’s the first person we see before we start our therapy; she goes above and beyond. She has come out of her office to give Hugo a giant Hug before appointments if he’s having a rough day. Hugo takes a business card after each session and tells her, he’ll call her sometime. So many times through this journey it’s easy to tell people you’re fine because you ask yourself, do people really want to hear what’s on your heart. Shannon has asked and I’ve broke down in frustration with the insurance company or resources that we haven’t received and she’s comforted me and is just all around an angel on earth. She’s the best and I’m really going to miss her when she leaves. Ms. Carol is just as kind and she’ll be taking over and Hugo really likes her too! Franka, Allyssa, Carrie, Kelly, Tonia, Gina; the absolute best. Honestly, I feel like the quality and commitment these therapist have that work at Sparrow Peds Rehab is impeccable and they are ALL amazing! My heart is so full, when I observe the care and interaction with all of the kiddos. We are blessed to be in the best hands. I’m also thankful for Hug and J’s pediatric Dr and assistant. I’m very sad he’s leaving, Dr Koon is the kindest and most thorough and Ashton is the best assistant; the care and compassion from Capital Area Pediatrics is outstanding. #thankfulfordays

Larry Horstman: Will marry free bed is located inside of sparrow hospital it's separate from spare hospital but it's part of spare hospital because it's inside the building using the main front entrances the closest to get where you need to go This is a rehab rehabilitation center after surgeries and etc So you get quite an extensive evaluation between your physical therapy occupational therapy and speech therapy and they do the excellent job and they're very helpful and finding different ways for you to facilitate the needs in your life such as in my situation I had my right leg amputated above the knee so therapy works with me on how to regain my balance after surgery and only have one limb it also gives you skills and abilities that they show you and how to be more facilitating for your needs in your life because your life is changed and you have to start out with a new normal so they can to help you find that I guess you could say and by the way they have great meals here I've been extremely happy that I have don't have to cook anymore right now and they're good too but do try out the brownies I think they were probably the best example of their good food who doesn't like a good brownie enjoy the time here when you're here and try to gain as much knowledge facilitating the desires of your heart

Christopher Struble: Worst experience of our lives . Apologies after Apologies for the terrible care . Walk to Grand Rapids before you leave you loved ones in this unit . Photos of the lack of dignity provided to the patients available upon request. Dr Gilmore and Doubek should think about a career in another field ,where compassion , empathy and ethics are not required . Shame, shame, shame . 😞

Amy Tracy: My Dad went here following a massive stroke. I do not reccomend this place to anyone who is looking for good care for a loved one. They let him fall twice. Even though they have the camera in the room and saw him attempting to get out of bed, and the nurse station was VERY close to his room. They continued to try to talk to him through the camera instead of rushing in and stopping him. No compassion from therapy people.

ed behr (djecoed): I did rehab at Mary Free Bed at Sparrow after a recent devastating illness that left me unable to walk. I could barely stand when I entered. They told me I'd be going home in two weeks and I said "No way." But their team of talented, committed, and caring nurses and therapists proved me wrong, and 13 days later I walked out. The staff is clearly committed to genuine CARE for their patients and their patients' families. Even the cleaning staff seemed genuinely concerned about me (Hi Harley!). These are people who love what they do and love doing it well. I got an alumni t-shirt when I left and I wear it every Sunday. I am so glad I went to Mary Free Bed at Sparrow.

AARON BENNETT: The recovery center is Amazing! Briana, Stephanie, Emily, Chris, Betty, Melissa, Patty, and all the rest of the staff are amazing! They made my extended stay there very comfortable and I always felt safe and welcome!
