SkyVue: what do users think?
Carrie Tattershall: Great price for space and amenities! Would recommend to anyone!!
Kierstin Gehle: I called a couple of times and spoke with Brooke. She was extremely informative and helpful.
Ramzi Mashni: I currently live at Skyvue and there are a lot of different things that I like about this place. Personally, I love the sky lounge. It’s a great place to get my homework done and also hang out with my roommates outside of our apartment. I also like the free coffee they provide for residents in the sky lounge too!
Nick Ensing: The tour from Brooke was amazing! I was able to see a mock setup of an apartment that seemed to have a sturdy setup and hardware. The quality was what I’m looking for, also loved the versatility of the gym and that there’s a study room as well. Definitely thinking about moving in!
Vince Martinez: SkyVue is a good place. Actually a great place. The very best place. I love SkyVue, SkyVue loves me.
Brett Johnson: Signed a lease for next year and I’m super excited to use the gym! Big thanks to Brooke in the front office for helping me out with everything!
Adam Smith: This place is amazing and the people are so friendly, I’m moving in next month!!
Julia: everything is amazing !! love the amenities and the building is amazing
Haleigh Herman: Brooke is very helpful at the front desk, she helped me get an important package when I wasn't sure if it was delivered. She is awesome!!
kilian s: As a perspective renter who does not live in the area, I was extremely pleased with the numerous amenities, cleanliness of the public spaces, and size of the rooms. Also, I was very impressed with the friendliness and professionalism of the SkyVue staff. One of the staff members (Brooke, I think her name was) took me on an extremely thorough and detailed tour. She went over all of the options and floor plans with me, and was super respectful the entire time, especially when responding to my numerous questions. Although I have not made a final housing decision I was so impressed with the customer service experience that I had to share.
Meredith Beale: SkyVue has been an amazing and safe place to live! Front office staff is super nice, especially Brooke! Maintenance is timely and efficient. All my neighbors have been great. It can get loud on the weekends, but expected of a college apartment complex. Close to campus and walking distance from good places to eat and drink. Would definitely recommend.
Katherine Fowler: Brooke is the absolute best! She can help with everything you could possibly need. The apartments are great and there’s so much space for you and roommates. Highly recommend living here!
Matthew McElhinny: I have lived here for three years and will be sad to go when I graduate. The gym is the absolute seller in my eyes being that they have a peloton, bench press, free weights, cardio equipment, cables, etc. I also really appreciate the staff, especially Brooke as she will go above and beyond while doing it with a great attitude and smile. The 50 person hot tub is also a plus as you can invite people over and use the TV's and grills while relaxing in the hot tub. I would recommend living on the lower floors though as driving up the parking ramp is annoying. Nevertheless there is always flukes everywhere you go, however SkyVue has been a great place to call home. Thanks Brooke!!
Nicholas Giera: Skyvue was a pretty good place to live and Brooke in the office along with the night security are by far the best on staff. The amenities are alright and parking is a little difficult if you own a truck, but if you don’t drive a truck and purchase a spot you’ll be totally fine. The hot tub/pool was also awesome.
Carly H: I toured this complex and was impressed with the number of amenities and study rooms available throughout the building, it was super nice.
Mason Mulholland: Toured this place and it looked amazing! The staff helped so much!
Grace Godfryd: The staff was very helpful when I was visiting my friend. The complex is filled with amenities. The courtyards are my favorite part of the place. Very secure building with a relative location to campus!!
Palmer Speck: I’ve stayed at skyvue, very nice place to be at. I’ve had experiences all the way from making arts and crafts, sobbing in the four of all fours, and witnessed queen boss behavior first hand on the first floor in front of the elevators. Got hell of a good staff. 4.5 stars, lighting could use some work.
Derek Tickle: I love coming home to SkyVue after watching an average at best football team.
David Tattershall: I was very impressed with the amenities for round the clock activities, security measures, up to date facilities, maintenance, close to MSU campus and a friendly staff! All that for an affordable price!
George Pill: This place is really cool it’s also in a great spot

The Rocks Apartments: what do users think?
Jaznay Lora: I haven’t moved in yet, but my experience so far has been pretty great. The in office staff members are really friendly and know what they’re talking about! I went on a tour and every question I had was answered thoroughly! The leasing experience went smoothly also! I’m excited to see what’s in store next school year!
Bruce Seymour: Very nice and clean. Professional and courteous office staff. Would recommend.
Amy O'Callaghan: I recently visited the Rocks with my boyfriend for a tour. Our tour guide, Arturo, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful during our time there. We actually ended up staying for a couple hours asking questions that he was able to answer without hesitation. We decided to sign a lease that day because we loved the model! I’m extremely excited to move into my new apartment this summer and I can’t wait to experience life at The Rocks!!
megan green: My son lives there and the management team has been so helpful and friendly to us for the last 2 years. He just renewed his lease for another year
Pam Seymour: The apartments are nice, spacious, and well kept. Anytime I have questions or need something from the staff, they go above and beyond to help. I would highly recommend this complex to anyone looking for apartment living!
Erynn Elexis: Don't waste your time. When I applied, the girl told me there were 10+ slots available, they took my $65 for the application fee and refuse to give it back. They literally cancelled my application and deleted my account a week after the payment went through without even telling me. Called the leasing office and spoke with multiple people to get answers and all they kept saying is "I'm not sure. Sorry." Super unprofessional, doesn't seem like they care about anyone at all.
Jeffrey Wilcox: My daughter car was towed during the Martin Luther King weekend by the staff. She was parked in her own parking spot and there has never been an outstanding balance on her account. Her car is registered in their system also. We had to drive to Lansing and pay over $330.00 retrieve her vehicle. The following Tuesday they apologize and said it was a mistake. Expecting a refund or subtract from the rent they emailed $330 worth Of digital gift cards from various stores ie. Burger King, Ultra, Delta and others. I feel that’s unacceptable and I requested a cash or Visa card which can be use to pay rent or other expenses. Every call there is a different staff member who states they are not familiar with the problem.
Christian Burns-Shafer: Unprofessional. They responded to this asking me to email them despite not responding to the last two emails I sent them. Posturing much?
Chen Subramanian: The new manager is not honoring the previous manager's offers (lease, added carport charges, misc nonsense) for this academic year. Posting charges on the account with no explaination. I would give negative stars if this were an option. New students are aware of this new management.
AB Shoble: Worked with Ken W. today he was super cool and great to work with. I definitely recommend living at the Rocks if you are looking for a place in East Lansing and would 100% suggest working with Ken.
Hope Osterman: not a resident, I have friends that live here though.
Johnny Girl: Horrible experience! We toured the rocks and everything was fine until my roommate and I randomly got missed calls from the leasing office with no voicemails. We called back to be informed that our applications had been canceled with no input from us at all! We were also told that they sold out of the floorplan we were in the middle of the applying for, because someone toured and signed the same day (which makes no sense since we were told you have to fill out an application and go through a background check). The manager Samantha then lied and said she spoke to us about not leasing there! Extremely unprofessional and would not recommend!
Stephanie Bischoff: For the price of these apartments I expected better. But I guess they're just another commercial giant and don't really care about the individuals paying a lot of money to live there. They're nice looking places, but be prepared.1- The utility bill was always way too high. Are you marking it up 300%?!2- No cameras in the parking lot makes it easy for thieves. We had the spare tire stolen off the back of our Jeep!3- They are not flexible. We needed ONE extra day and couldn't have it. Figured we'd have to pay a days rate, but they wouldn't help us! So we had to take 2 days instead of 1, move everything out, drive 2 hours, then back the next day.4- Warning, be very thorough when you move out. They will charge you up the wazoo. A few things were left behind by the other roommates. But they charged EVERY person for FOUR bags of trash. There is NO way 16 bags of trash were left behind. Maybe 1 or 2. Unbelievable. We disputed this & they sent a picture, that's it. Not helpful. Be sure not to leave ANY tape residue on the wall either!I'm a realtor and property manager, so I have to check a lot of places over when tenants move. I've never seen a company so blatantly take advantage of young people the way this corporation does. All roommates moved when their lease ended.
LaTavia Lynn: I used to live at the NOCA Lofts and really wish I would’ve kept my lease there instead. The rocks have not lived up to the expectations that they give off. The apartment complex is nice inside and out as well as some staffing in leasing office. When it comes to having guest over you may want to reconsider because there are only about 5 parking spots in the front for your guest and if they park anywhere else their car will be towed away. Occasional car break ins as well. The electricity bill here is beyond crazy. It’s no way my bill is over $100 when I used to have a one bedroom and it was never more than $60. Each month the bill continues to rises no matter how much you try to decrease your usage. This company should really consider looking into a new system for the electric/gas because it is not fair.
Ayleen Perez: The rocks has to be by far my favorite place I have lived at. The amount of events the staff prepares for their residents is great! Free food and free items! The maintenance team is amazing and always on top of requests. I love my apartment and how modern it looks from the outside and inside 🤩
Mayaa Herrera: The apartments are nice and the complex is nice. Super nice leasing office employees as well. Although it is all nice they have five parking spots for guests so don’t expect to bring anyone over. Had a friend come help me move something for 20-30 minutes and his car was towed in that time and he is now expected to pay 400 dollars to get it back when all the guest spots were taken and he was here less than an hour. That would be the only reason I do not recommend living here.
Caitlin Morgan: In general I like living at The Rocks and I think the pricing is pretty reasonable!! They have great amenities too — free gym, Amazon hub, clubhouse, free bus passes, etc. The only issues I’ve had here are the parking since they could use some more guest spots and also the noise occasionally. The people above me can be really loud but The Rocks has an on-site security team, so if it gets too bad I just call them and they handle it which is very nice. Overall I like living here and I plan to renew!!
Sam Paull: I really enjoy living here, the management is professional and reasonable, and the maintenance workers are friendly and are available 24/7. I appreciate the effort the staff puts into giveaways and promos on their instagram page!
Kiers Dawn: Very nice place to live. I lived there for 3 years til I graduated and the complex was peaceful, well lit, and the staff was amazing. The maintenance crew was phenomenal and would even come by in the middle of the night to fix urgent needs when called. My power went out in my room one night when I go home from work and they stayed up to make sure I was good before they left. Highly recommend!
Mélina Stone: I have had an extremely negative experience with this complex. Though I do not live at The Rocks, I have a friend who does. The other day I was at his apartment from 10:00pm to about 1:00am, helping him set up up his apartment as he had just moved in. However, in the short time that I was parked in front of his building, the security at The Rocks towed my car. I came outside to find it missing and proceeded to walk around the building to see a security car with no security guard on site. I had to wait about 20 minutes for the guard to come back from doing a lap and I asked him what had happened to my car. He said he was instructed by management to tow any car without a parking pass and that I needed to contact the towing company. He also stated that there were many signs around warning guests not to park there. However, after walking around the front of the building, I saw no signs. I was parked in front of Building 1, and the nearest sign is all the way next to the leasing office which is not in the line of vision if you are simply taking a sharp right and parking in front of Building 1, especially in the dark. After that, I was forced to walk home because my friend was asleep by the time the security had finally gotten there. The security guard did not offer to help me find a ride and I was forced to walk back to my apartment in the dark, which is a scary experience for a small female college student. The next day, I had to walk forty minutes to the tow shop so I could drive to work and discovered the charge to get my car back was $369. That amount is simply an outrageous amount to expect a college student to pay, as it is almost the price of my rent for a month. The woman at the towing company also stated that many of the reported cars without stickers were, in fact, resident cars. So apparently, The Rocks has little regard for its own residents either. I am appalled that the leasing office would tow my car after I had only been inside the apartment for three hours. Additionally, the sign was not visible for any individual parking in front of Building 1, particularly in the dark. On top of this, it was Labor day, a holiday weekend. I went to the leasing office today in hopes of getting at least a partial reimbursement. The woman at the leasing office stated there was nothing they could do about it because “it is their policy” even after I explained I had no way of knowing I could not park there because there were no signs. Though I understand management does not want guests parking in resident parking areas, I do not think towing my car was warranted because I was parked there for three hours and there are no signs in front of Building 1. Overall, I am extremely disappointed about the way I have been treated. I would not recommend living here because The Rocks will tow any guests you have who do not park in a designated area, resulting in an extremely expensive fee that is unrealistic for most college students.
Jenna Thibodeau: The Rocks is a great community to be a part of. The units are clean and check-in was very efficient. The rooms are spacious and the units being fully furnished is a huge amenity unique to the rocks.

Cedar Village Apartments: what do users think?
Nahson: Leasing Agent (Former Employee),My name is Nahson and I worked as a leasing agent at Cedar Village Apartments, DTN Mgmt for roughly two months in the summer of 2022. At the apex of my being hired, I realized I was told a firm lie by the assistant leasing mgr, Joseph Garza, who had phone interviewed and hired me expediently. This assistant mgr told me when I asked a question about hours that my position would be full time. However, for my first two weeks of working, my hours were minimal and not nearly enough to self sustain. I had moved into my first apartment, needed to afford rent and turned down two jobs with consistent full time hours for this leasing agent job. On other notes, I was given absolutely no training for an endlessly complex job, was gaslighted constantly by equally confused coworkers and the temper-mental, aforementioned, emotionally unintelligent assistant manager. I was not given formal instruction on receiving proper bi-weekly pay, which was through weekly timecards. Because of this, I was not able to pay rent and my phone bill. When I brought the issue to the assistant manager, I was told I would receive some funds from a projected, next pay period check. These funds were around $100. This means, that for 3 weeks, I had received, though working close to 50 hours, less than $100. Continuing, when I was hired, at-least eight other people were also hired due to the upcoming student changeover season. In addition, one full time leasing agent was hired. This full time leasing agent, expectedly so, quit abruptly about a month before I did, in regards to similar issues. They (the former full-time leasing agent) could not deal with the toxic workplace energy/culture whatsoever, according to Garza who unethically gossiped the information to the entire staff. To expound on said workplace energy/culture, there was constant, vulgar swearing, behind-the-back insults to residents and talk of drinking and taking one’s own life by Garza, the asst. leasing manager. I was immensely stressed and on a 10 HR shift student changeover Friday, I had been designated to work in the office. On that day, I saw the worst in a lot of my coworkers, including one in particular, who was sadly delirious, visibly stressed and maybe drunk. Because of there being no obeyed training format for the leasing agents, all of us leasing agents had to ask for help on every construct to do with our job description. I had asked this gentleman for help, because he had been seemingly kind in helping me with the job multiple times before. When I did this, I was met with his deluded perception insults on myself as a leasing agent and person. After this, said coworker then went outside to have a breather before what would be assumed as the beginning of a nervous breakdown. Up until this point, I had strategically dealt with and withheld most of myself in response to some of my coworkers’ issues, just by my proximity to them, as well as the assistant leasing managers’ extreme incompetence. However, this situation was IT for me. I went into the restroom and regained my composure and realized, i’ve got to quit immediately. That night, I sent to the assistant leasing Joseph Garza and main manager Ashley, a simple and vague resignation letter. Ending, I was so detailed in this due to personal and proficient intention. I have no care for a mgmt response or nonsensical, poorly written non-response to this (BELOW). My main advice to DTN is to have better examination into people hired for roles, especially those in the managerial context. I know for a fact that my experience is similarly shared by tons of recent leasing agents here, but for whatever reason, probably fear, their are not many online reviews that share my sentiments. Good luck! (Smileys*)ProsExperienced Leasing Agent who was a joy to work with and perfectly helpful (Will not mention her name). Kim Shepherd and main CV manager, Ashley (I’m not sure of her last name, look it up) both flourish at their jobs to the maximum, are consistently kind people and need promotions/double pay!
Perseus Jason: Not enough AMI units near campus. Price is 3x market rate to price gouge students on federal aid dollars
Daniel Baker: Called the leasing office and spoke with Matt arntson Great service who helped me with a maintenance call quickly and professionally!
Lindsey Strozeski: I frequently spend my time with friends in Cedar Village. It's the go-to spot on game days, and the ambiance there is fantastic! During my apartment search, Matthew showed me around a unit in building 5, and I must admit, the apartments are excellently situated and maintained.
amena ford: Although I don’t live here, I visit my boyfriend and the apartments are in a great location and very clean. I’ve also asked Matthew many questions in the leasing office and he’s been so helpful!
Thomas Obear: Below Average college apartments with good location
Tristan Albrecht: Dtn is a great place to work my husband lives being there maintenance tech!!
Shakthi Kanna: mmmmm mid. not bad or good
Steven Dulzo: I lived in Haslett Arms for 2 years and loved it. Great neighbors, as well as an amazing location, and an awesome experience. Karley, the Leasing Office, and the Maintenance Staff were a great help whenever assistance was needed. Highly recommend living here.
Don Tolly: My child rents here. It's fairly priced, and the location is good. Apartments are older but spacious.
Justin Trantham: Very friendly people there! Was on the phone today with Ciaran and I was impressed with how relatable he was with what I was looking for! Definitely recommend!
Shaede Perzanowski: I have been happy with the properties and the employees. Specifically, I have had the opportunity to work with Karley Kent through multiple leases, and she is excellent. As a new renter, I am definitely a layman with a lot of the jargon involved, but Karley was able to quickly explain the whole process in a way that I easily understood. She knows what she is doing.
Julia Kenny: I toured Cedar Village and the leasing agent Brett provided an excellent experience
Charlotte Cox: Cedar Village is THE PLACE to live if you go to MSU, you're close to literally anything in the East Lansing area (bars, campus, all you need). The apartments are nice, at least in Americana the rooms are good size and the laundry being in the room is a bonus. Plus the leasing agents are 10/10 always there to answer your call and your questions!! Shoutout Angela M for going above and beyond you definitely will wanna lease with her. Overall if you're doubting living here don't just do it.... NO REGRETS
Ciaran Whelan: Brett specifically provided great customer service. He made me feel welcomed and my decision at hand easier.
Rylee Spitler: I have had such a great experience with the staff at Cedar Village. Every time I go to the leasing office, Zach always greets me with a smile and is so helpful! If you are interested in living here, I highly recommend requesting Zach to give you a tour or help with your signing process.
n zess: I didn’t end up signing here but I toured and everyone was very nice and welcoming! The tour was very informational and very quick. They have nice apartments and staff is extremely helpful.
Elizabeth Stanton: Do not live here unless you want to genuinely fear for your life. There are no locks on the outside of any apartment building, and this leads to homeless individuals coming and going as they please, often spending days and nights in the hallways. I heard that just this year over Thanksgiving break, a homeless man broke into and slept in 2 girls’ apartment, and the leasing office hasn’t done anything to rectify the situation. I don’t know them personally, but I can only imagine how terrified they are. The lack of security or compassion shown by the people who run CV is shocking and concerning. The close proximity to campus does not, by any means, make it worth living here. I’m so sorry to any prospective residents, prepare for the horrible management who come and go in your apartment as they please, the dirty and unsafe buildings, horrible parking conditions, and, as expected, lots of couch burning. It’s expensive to live here, take your money somewhere else. Somewhere safe.P.S. I’m posting under a pseudonym because I don’t want to be badgered into taking my review down, which is also something I hear they do. But yes, I do unfortunately live here.
Joey DeMaria: I am a resident of a house from cedar village and the team at the leasing office has been nothing but great. Joey has help with all of our maintenance request and made sure they were taken care of in a reasonable time. I also took a tour recently with my girlfriend and Karly was the leasing agent that helped us. She was very helpful and answered all of our questions with confidence. Nothing but good things to say about my experience.
Evan Schleis: Was given several $45 parking tickets for having a temporary car because of maintenance. I made cedar village aware of the matter and was told they would get back to me. No one ever did and now I have to eat these parking tickets up with no remorse. Save the time and frustration and live somewhere else.
Adhi Sureshkumar: CV has great apartments at a very great location! Grace was amazing and helped me through with some of my issues patiently.
