John Zimmerman: I had a good experience overall with this tool rental location. The employees were very helpful and professional. There were several issues with the stump grinder I rented - some of which could have been avoided by proper maintenance and some were not their fault at all. Took off a star for these issues but I was thankful that staff gave a discount upon return to help compensate for the issues. Not sure why there are so many 1 star reviews. My experience was very good overall.

The first time they told me that the two bigger size concrete mixer are not working so I decided to go for the smaller size. Then I went to get a truck and went back to get the smaller one. I waited a half hour waiting for someone to come and help, and they eventually came in saying the other one is also down.....

Colin C: Very rude and terrible service. Rented a pressure washer and found it was malfunctioning at home and upon returning it, they said they couldn’t guarantee that any other pressure washers would work. Before wasting an entire sunny afternoon, get your rentals from somewhere else.

Aaron Clark: I rented a skid steer to work in my woods clearing some brush and moving earth, they sent me a skid steer with no doors or side glass and no functioning working lights. The day I gave them my credit card information, my account was hacked and charges were applied (unlikely coincidence, in my opinion). When I tried to sign their online document my phone popped up a notification from Google saying my information was just shared to 10 other websites from the nowyoussign.com site that they use for their online contracts. It took them 4 days to come pick up their skid steer after my time with it was up. I came to this company to rent equipment thinking they held themselves to a higher standard than the smaller companies I've used but the smaller companies have never given me issues on this scale. I highly recommend not using this company mainly because of their unsecure payment and contract system.

They should have gave me something comparable or the next step up instead they argued with me and ended up just giving my money back so why did I spend extra for the replacement warranty? Than i had to go waste more of my time going to another store. Wasted half a day of time because their tool was junk and they wouldn't replace it.

Mule B: We had a fire in our basement, under our bathroom in the electrical panel. There was extensive damage to the bathroom and the electrical wiring. Century Construction was hired by our insurance company to do the repair work (we were not really involved in the selection.)Between Century and our bank(s), it took 7 months to get back into our house. Now that we've been back in the house for 8 months, over a year after the fire, there are still aspects of the project that never got code approval, contractors that never addressed inspector's concerns. We gave up on some other issues, like damaged landscaping and incomplete drywall repair. I am working with my township to get the rest of the code issues resolved myself. Very poor follow-through and project management.Initially the project seemed to move quickly. Demolition went quickly. Then everything stopped. Some delay was down to the bank, but much was simply a lack of prioritization of our project, I have to presume. Our house sat for days, weeks, with nothing touched. Dust forming, mildew and then mold building in our fridge to the point that the fridge had to be claimed and replaced because of the mold. The majority of the work was completed in the last 1 month of the project -- 1 month of work that took 7 months to receive.The owners are nice guys. I actually like them, as people. The work they did ranges from good to "just okay," some of their contractors weren't great to work with. Their tile work looks great. Our possessions had some light wear-and-tear from moving and duct tape residue, but generally well-cared for. A month has gone by and they haven't had the decency to quote us, let alone return our calls.Complete waste of time! If you can't do the job, have the decency to get back with people.

Ana Hornburg: I was unlucky enough to have a tree fall on my garage over the summer and started looking for a company who could do a quick and clean rebuild right away. I met with Dan, who was extremely friendly and courteous, and he got me a quote within a couple weeks. It was the highest quote, but I liked the level of detail in it and he offered the quickest turnaround time (a few days of actual construction spread out over 2-3 weeks depending on weather and they could start right away). Time was a huge factor since I was preparing to move. Well, they weren't able to start off right away as promised and the job turned into nearly 3 months from start to finish. When the roof was put on, they missed going over part of my driveway with the magnet, so I picked up about 10-15 nails once I got home. I never knew when they were coming over, and getting a hold of anyone was a nightmare. I was promised a new completion date multiple times, and it was never actually done by then. When the garage was completed, I wasn't informed. I just stopped by the house one time and found garage openers and a manual wedged between a post and sheathing. The door opener installed was itemized on the bill as 3x more than it actually cost, the framing around the door opening bows out, and gutters were never completed. In the end, I just paid the bill as soon as they sent it to get it over with. I was given $100 off the total for "communications issues" which is a good gesture, but didn't help much. I wouldn't work with them again, and I wouldn't recommend them to any friends.

Yesterday one was actually rude on a return and nothing was out of order. I have only visited this Menards so cant speak for other stores and I rarely ask for assistance but if I do Id like to be treated pleasantly.

John Kinsora: After I spent 10 minutes looking for an item to no avail I decided to find an employee for some assistance. I came across a group of four employees having a rather inappropriate conversation and politely asked if they could point me in the right direction. Three of them we’re clueless but the fourth who was as pleasant as a rattlesnake simply pointed down an isle saying go that way it should be by the end then turned and continued with their conversation. I was a slightly annoyed by the lack of customer service but it was the last item I needed so I went to checkout. I purchased around $600 worth of building supplies and as I was leaving the store asset protection stopped me and accused me of stealing a $12 dollar pair of reading glasses I’d been using to read labels since I had forgotten mine. I understand this is their job and as a former police officer I’ve handled plenty of calls for retail theft and if he had conducted himself properly it wouldn’t have been an issue. But instead he decided to be rude, arrogant and condescending letting his little plastic asset protection id inflate his ego. After a brief argument that continued even after I made it obviously clear I hadn’t taken anything he finally realized it was time to shut his mouth and walk away, I was so annoyed by the overall experience I nearly returned everything and wish I had.

Will Simon: It is my unfortunate duty to report that the warranties offered by this establishment are a clear and blatant case of deceptive marketing. Regrettably, the product I purchased was found to be defective due to a manufacturing issue, rendering it inoperable. Despite having purchased a warranty, the establishment in question refused to honor their commitment and provide the necessary recourse, citing the unavailability of the product in question.This grossly unfair treatment was not a one-off occurrence, as a subsequent purchase of a chainsaw also proved to be similarly problematic. In this instance, the chainsaw failed to start even after an employee's intervention, yet the establishment was once again reluctant to provide the promised refund. It was only through persistent and arduous negotiation that I was able to secure the due compensation for both incidents.It is deeply concerning that the establishment's business practices have led to such distressing outcomes, which can only be described as a form of daylight robbery. However, as a tenacious and determined individual, I remained resolute in my pursuit of justice, and was able to reclaim what was rightfully mine.
