R M: Would have loved to leave a better review, but I can't get anyone to answer the phone to schedule an appointment. Called during business hours. Held for 15 minutes and opted for a callback. No one ever got back to me.Edit: Received callback 20 minutes after this review. Will update review after my appointment. The scheduler took my info and details of my reason for wanting an appointment, then told me they would call me back after the doctor looked over my "self referral" to determine availability.....interesting....2nd Edit: went to the Core Institute in Brighton. Amazing experience! I’ve already referred 3 more people to them. Highly recommend.

Arash Yunesi: Review of Sheeba Joseph: If you still have not had your surgery with her, read my review and experience carefully and make sure you make the correct decision for yourself. I went to Sheeba Joseph with a multiple dislocation of right shoulder. My shoulder labrum was torn and it felt loose and unstable. The first thing that I noticed about her was that she was not listening to what I was saying. For example, I told her that my shoulder even before the first dislocation felt loose and in some movements it was sliding in the socket. This information is absolutely crucial to decide whether I need shoulder labrum only or if she needs to perform capsulagraphy (shoulder tightening) so that I will have less chance of tearing my labrum again. She decided to ignore this. What stood out significantly was that she looks like an irresponsible surgeon. I asked her whether she has seen my MRI images. She said and I quote "I have read the report". Report is written by radiologist, not a surgeon. Sure the radiologist sees hundreds of MRI images everyday but it is still the surgeon's responsibility to look at them and then read the report as an independent opinion. Radiologist is not the one responsible for the final decision on the surgery and what kind of surgery. Also they are people, they can make mistakes. What if the radiologist was having a bad day, or going through a divorce, or goofing around while looking at the images, or just simply was looking at the wrong images? It was not like it will take a very long time from her schedule. I opened the MRI images on my own laptop and looked at them, 6 images, it took me 2 minutes total! She is not a responsible surgeon. It is an hour long surgery for her and a few follow ups but it will be a lifetime of happiness or suffering for us. My recommendation to all of you, DO NOT GO TO HER. I talked to several PTs and doctors and they all said Andrew Schorfhaar is the best around here. I went to him and even without giving him the story about how my shoulder felt loose and unstable before the first dislocation and how easy it popped out the first time, he strongly recommended that I need shoulder tightening along with labrum repair to make sure that I don't tear it open again. And fun fact, he said that I have a major tear of labrum. From talking to him I figured out that the tear is about 40% but the radiologist in the report had written that the tear is between 5 and 6 o'clock, that would be less than 10%!

I complained at the time because of the unnecessary radiation exposure but upon getting billed I saw there real reason to do it... They didnt help the problem ether and were not helpful.

Christopher Ridler: I suffered an extensive knee injury at the end of February in 2019. I had a torn ACL, partially torn MCL, and a partially torn meniscus. Initially, I was told it would be May before I could see a doctor. However, I was able to get an MRI, and after calling back to see if she could please just have someone read the chart, Dr. Dietzel called me right away.I did my research before concluding that Dr. Dietzel is one of the most qualified and well respected doctors in the area for sports medicine knee injuries. He did not disappoint. He was able to get me in for surgery almost immediately after elective surgery restrictions were lifted. He just did my 6 month check-up, and though I am still recovering, I could not have asked for better peace of mind. Dr. Dietzel did a fantastic job with my knee surgery, and better yet, he was kind and gentle throughout the process, very knowledgable and transparent about my injury and recover, and genuinely cared about my recovery and well being.I would highly, highly recommend Dr. Dietzel and MSU Sports Medicine Clinic. I am incredibly grateful for what they've done for me.

Walt Donaldson: I've seen Dr. Kovan and Dr. Norris for varying issues. Both Doctor's were extremely thorough/knowledgeable, and provided great explanations of the injuries and recovery. I would highly recommend them!

K Man: Wait time wasn't bad, docs are great.The one star is for the high pressure sales tactics the brace salesperson uses.Almost $600 for a brace you can buy online for $183.Total scam and super shady medical industry is what supports these people. I will forever make sure everyone I know is aware of this and will also make sure everyone knows the company don joy is in on it. Such a shame to pray on people like this.

TheShanekerkes: The worst healthcare I’ve ever received! I’m writing this review to hopefully help someone not go through what I’m going through. I was told I would get my imaging scheduled within a week after my doc apt. That was in January, now it is March...I still don’t even have the appointment scheduled! I’ve called more times than I can count and they keep saying, I’ll put a note on your file or I’ll have someone call you today or tomorrow. Never once have they called me back.. If you are a competitive athlete who needs surgery done quickly to get back to your sport, DO NOT GO HERE! I went to Michigan State thinking I would get quality healthcare. Never in my life have I ever been more wrong.

Ann-Marie Mapes: This doctor prescribed my father Claritin. Two days later I took my father to the ER where he was diagnosed with acute kidney injury. It didn’t just happen overnight. My father was ill for two weeks... a good doctor asks probing questions. If he/she can’t diagnose the problem then he/she sends the patient for tests or further diagnostics. This doctor didn’t do that. Had my father not called me and gone to the ER, I don’t know what would have happened. I have advised my father never to go back to this physician.

Derek Nettleman: This guy is a joke! I went for my first exam and I didn’t have my medical records (I was never told that I would need them for a first exam). He took me in his office for 5 minutes. He did no exam told me there was nothing he could do without my medical records and charged me $169. I’m sorry but it seems like for not doing anything $169 seems a bit steep.

Patricia McMillan: My main issue was a dropped paperwork off that the dr. Said he'd fill out before I had left my appointment. A week passed and I had a deadline to get that paperwork turned in so I called to check on it and was told Id have to come in for another appointment. This upset me because that's not what we disscused and there is a 30$ copay for visits. On top of that I'd have to pay 25$ for the paperwork to be filled out. I would have paid and been fine but they never called after I dropped the paperwork off to even alert me to this. Yes I hung up the phone on whomever takes the calls I was very upset and had nothing left to say. Dr called me back and told me to pick my stuff up. Was I rude for hanging up...yes! I think I had the right to be upset. I didn't curse or raise my voice! I can't speak clearly when I'm very upset. This now will cost me my job for that paperwork not being done.
