Hub On Campus East Lansing: what do users think?
Gabe Evola: Great place in a good spot on campus
Isabelle Mary: I have had a great experience at the Hub and think its a great place to live! I have met amazing people here and enjoy the goodies they give and events they hold. I also love how convenient it is that it’s so close to campus and Grand River!
Its ya girl Sam: Amazing amenities but I think it’s too easy for strangers to come in, especially later in the afternoon (towards night). Clean, nice people, occasional perks
Olivia Newland: Update (at this point this is a running blog of my experiences here): I was just given a whopping 38 minutes of notice that maintenance would be entering our apartments for inspection. I should note that the maintenance workers are lovely people—my issue is with building management who think this is an acceptable amount of notice to enter my apartment. Again, this was not for an emergency or to fix something that I addressed—just a regular inspection.Another update: Internet has been in and out (mostly out) for a month now. There have been four separate, prolonged outages in October alone. Apparently management doesn't think that having internet access is a priority for a building of 99% college students who are taking online classes. Paying $1300+ per month to not have something as basic as internet is definitely yet another "con." Ugh.Update: Management has just informed us that they are no longer paying for our cable services and that there will be no option to purchase cable. Another "con."Pros:- Great location for me- The pool is a plus (now that it's actually open sometimes)- The apartments are bright and relatively quiet- The 7-11 downstairs is a plus- I will give them credit for their response during the recent tragic events on campus. They were very supportive and provided extra treats for residents.Cons:- The price and cost of utilities are honestly outrageous- Most of the staff are students. They are generally (not always) inexperienced and unhelpful, and they can be extremely apathetic.- The amenities are regularly broken and unavailable. This includes the coffee/hot drink machine, the pool table, the desks in the study area, and the hot tub.- At least one of the elevators is broken about half of the time. This is very frustrating if you have a disability or if you live on a higher floor where it is not realistic to walk all the way up all the time.- Parking is an absolute disaster. If you want your own parking spot it is well over $100 per month. A cheaper spot requires you to park "tandem" which is just an unrealistic nightmare for busy college students.- Common areas are regularly dirty or smelly (like rotten food/garbage). Hallways are regularly pretty gross, it is normal to see dust bunnies/hair balls along the baseboards, sticky spills or dropped food that doesn't get cleaned up.-I'm not sure if this is a problem for others, but the floor and baseboards in my apartment are covered in some kind of tacky adhesive. It seems like it might be from tape or something they used to secure protective plastic to the floor during construction. these spots collect dust and no amount of scrubbing can get rid of the sticky residue.-Communication with management is subpar.
Bennett C: The Wi-Fi kinda sucked at the beginning of the year but accommodations are nice and good atmosphere
Sydney Dankert: I’ve lived here for two years and I love it! Great amenities, maintenance, and giveaways/fun events! :)
Tushar: Amazing location with a lot of amenities
Conner Windorf: One of the best apartments in East Lansing. Great location, it’s the only apartment with a rooftop pool and 2 hot tubs. Friendly staff and maintenance is top notch quick and efficient.
Zane O'Dell: Yeah it’s alright
Carlie Shaw: 3 year resident- entering the giveaway for a ps :)
riley swint: Amazing customer service! Super helpful
quincy harris: Great !!!
Mary-Elizabeth Williams: Best rooftop, building parking and convenient location
Parrish Robart: I’ve lived here for two years and I’ve never had any problems from maintenance requests (though not many) to free giveaways and snacks/food for residents.
Samhita Surapaneni: Honestly one of my favorite places I lived out of my 4 years at MSU. Great amenities and maintenance always responds super fast!
Koppo Ketta: My name is Lucas Miller and I have been living in the hub for the spring semester of 2023 and it has been a very nice experience. The staff help with anything I ask and the mail service is very reliable. A Few WiFi outages but they only lasted for 10-15 minutes and the longest being an hour. Only has happened 3 times in over 60 days. Would consider anyone to look into renting an apartment here for the benefits that this establishment provides. Also the Hub has a 7/11 located directly under it which is very convenient for small items and foods. There location of the hub is conveniently placed on the edge of campus where there is plenty of food options within walking distance so you will be lucky to stay here. The Hub Caters food sometimes and there is also free food in the lobby on occasions which I have taken advantage of every time. There is a gym built in with a steam room. Multiple study rooms and lots of places in the lobby to sit. Overall the Hub is a very welcoming environment and I will be glad to let you know more....
Alexandra Johnson: Views are great and the staff is friendly. There are a lot of maintenance issues that come up randomly. Sometimes maintenance can be quick and other times it will take weeks for them to respond. They always have giveaways which are really sweet and they celebrate the big holidays by offering free food and trinkets.
Fernando Caccia: Super convenient place to live! Great amenities that stay well maintained. Staff are always quick to respond and super friendly. 10/10
Shane J: The Hub is a grate place to live! The people here are amazing and very helpful. Also I love all the giveaways and free food the give out.
Hussain Ashkanani: I cannot express enough how amazing this place is! They are extremely caring and loving to their residents. After the tragedy that occurred on our campus. The hub have been very supportive with stuff like free pizza meals and non-stop giveaways like a bunch of snacks, drinks, Nintendo games and so much more! to lighten our moods from such horrifying experience. I love this place so much, every part of it. And I'm proud to call this place home.
ChimChoom: Will screw you over

Stoddard Student Living Center: what do users think?
Noah Landon: Excellent daycare. My child loves the place. He is only two years old and he is so excited to be dropped off in the morning. They change his diaper, feed him, and they are very fairly priced. No swearing on the premises or any vulgar behavior for that matter, which is perfect for a place for infants. Thank you Stoddard Living Center, you are amazing.
Gabe Baskel: Everyone is treated like babies. You have to be inside and quiet at an extremely early time, no swearing, and the TV can’t swear either. They also use an internet firewall for websites they deem to be inappropriate even though there are websites that are not inappropriate that I’ve tried to access. We are college students, we like to have fun. We are not little children who need our mommies to watch our every move.
Devin Toma: Awesome place. Great spirit. Great management.
david k: I have lived here for almost six years. It was the best encounter that I had living in East Lansing. The rent is affordable and it is really close to MSU.
Emily M: Cheap rent isn’t worth the poor management.
Tecoria Strother: A blessed place to live at !

Chandler Crossings: what do users think?
Hadeel Alhassani: The leasing office staff do not help with getting anything done because they really do not care. They usually do not have manager. My dishwasher was not working for over a year and it was not fixed till I left. They lack simple training and proficiency to help residents. After more than 10 visits to the leasing office to got my dish washer replaced I asked the lady that was helping me to gave me her name so I can follow up with her. She took a paper and act that she was writing and she fold the paper then when I left the office I found out that she did not write anything in the paper. Nothing is getting fixed in this Appartment complex.
Nolan Saros: Asked for ip adress
Mydream Waller: I've had a good time here every now and then but ain't no driving board in they pool😭
Lizabeth Desmet: just another apartment complex owned by a predatory company who profits off college students in need of affordable housing. They will charge you for anything with no opportunity to fix/explain unless you threaten to have attorneys contact them, which most college students can't afford - and they know that.
Logan Hobbs: Their website makes no mention of the fact that all apartments come furnished. Both this place as well as their two other locations have no option for unfurnished floorplans. Waste of time to tour and everything only to find out that they had no options for us.
Lauryn Folker: Moved into these apartments my fall semester of 2021. Can I say, worst place I’ve ever lived. Our washing machine overfilled multiple times and was broken. Instead of replacing the washing machine as we had put in multiple maintenance requests, they continuously did not fix the problem. On top of that, they mislead residents about their “renters insurance”. It is NOT renters insurance which was not clear. On top of that, our blinds were broken and they said if we had put a maintenance request they would of fixed it for free. No human in the apartment broke the blinds, as it was a cat. If an individual pays an extra fee for having a pet, why wouldn’t that come out of that fee? On top that, the wifi which we pay for, almost never worked. As well as, our dishwasher was outdated in the sense that broke down all the time. It was clear that it needed to be replaced and the maintenance requests were proving pointless. On top of that, having someone come to your apartment to do “quarterly inspections” unannounced was incredibly frustrating. I strongly recommend finding any other place to live. Not worth it.
D C: It is very hard to get maintenance to fix problems. We had so many issues with our apartment we switched to a different one, but found out we each of us had to pay a $300 fee to transfer to a new apartment.
Abhishek Ojha: Nice apartments with wonderful kitchen space. Indoor sports facility is awesome 😎.
AKASH GONDALIYA: Treated are a bit too high
Imani Rinke: Mary is incredible to work with!!!
robert coenen: Amenities provided are nice. Grace Corbin provided an excellent tour and was very prompt to answer any questions and concerns about the apartments themselves, and also details pertaining to campus.
Heidi: Very helpful staff. I was there to visit and somehow ended up mixing up the building I needed. Raquel was able to help me find where I was intending to be. Also, it was very nice and clean.
Elijah Young: Honestly, with my second time at your buildings, I was very lost and couldn’t find my friend’s apartment. Elijah K, I think that was the guy’s name helped me all the way from the office to the apartment. He really was very helpful
Reanna Cantrall: Easy to find, good parking, decently clean apartments and common spaces
Josh Klein: The amenities are great, especially the indoor pool. Maintenance has been quick and responsive in my experience. The office also has been great with any needs and everyone on site is extremely friendly.
mary corbin: This place is awesome! The people who work there are wonderful as well. Keep up the good work!
Michelle Smith: The model shown was fabulous, However, the actual apartment my son got was a disgusting mess that I cleaned for 3 hours before moving in. Looks like someone threw grease all over the kitchen, eating area and leather couch. Under the sink in the kitchen and his bathroom had water damage. They do a lot for the kids like food on certain days, movies, and they have a great community center. Also, we chose an apartment, and was told the price, however, on the lease gave the wrong room with a higher price. When you do everything from your phone you are not paying attention to it and they say just initial the page so I missed it until I got home and looked at the paper lease (I had to ask for because they don't give you one).
Nicole Glover: I like staying here because it's close to everything I need. I love the amenities and community atmosphere. I enjoy the events, prizes and food. I do recommend people to live here and I have already referred a friend to live here.
Dhwani Kansal: Amazing and friendly place to live at
Ashley Keller: Office staff sucks.
Trevor Kildea: If you enjoy the office doing quarterly inspections every month maybe this is the place for you. It was a below average apartment when we tried to get thing fixed maintenance often told us we didn't know what were talking about that nothing was broken. Are showers didn't have hot water for two weeks and all of my roommates and myself called them just to be told it was working. It did offer a few nice things such as furnished apartments, washer, dryer, had a nice office and weight room. Office staff was rarely helpful. Would not recommend at all just like everyone told me before I moved in. Wish I would have listened.

University Edge Student Living: what do users think?
Felicia Solomon: I’m not normally someone who makes google reviews but I feel like this place needs one. I have a family member who has been living here since this property opened and I must say it looks nice, but most light switches were installed upside or backwards and many fixtures are very cheaply put together.Last year there was no sort of parking requirements for visitors considering the size of the parking lot available. We enjoy family time so we were happy that parking was presumably included with rent. This year there has apparently been changes and I will get my car towed if I would like to stay the night(unless I pay more $ of course for a pass).Last year this wasn’t an issue, but the students were never notified of the changes that keep happening this year surrounding parking. They were putting up new signs as I was there before and I specifically asked her if she had been notified of these new signs and she said no. This complex continues to change their parking rules without informing their students, making it so that they can continue to tow people and make more money. It’s almost as if their parking people are in kahoots with the towing company, as you can see how quickly people are towed once they receive a parking violation and therefore a ticket. (Literally you can watch it from a room window from the complex, it appeared within the hour.. hope y’all didn’t plan on needing to bring groceries up since you might be towed within that timeframe of them adding signs miraculously after you parked there!)Why should we receive a towing bill and ticket if there was never any notification from the apartment complex that parking rules had changed and signs have been added? We will not be letting my family live here again as it’s not a family environment to get together, or to even have friends over. I would like to visit my family while they are in college if I can. If my family is paying that high of rent, i don’t see why parking isn’t included as it was last year.I am thinking of asking the city about whose responsibility it should be to notify the students of changes that will cause them to get towed.P.S. it is dog friendly which is great, but I hope you have flea and tick protection. I came home with 3+ ticks on my dog since they haven’t cut the grass all spring and it’s up to my knees…. How much is rent again for them to not mow the lawn?
Unbearable Pun: Really bad experience if it’s supposedly student living. The place doesn’t look bad, but amenities are never available as well as the main problem being wifi. The wifi is down for hours every week and it’s finals week right now yet it’s been down more than up. It’s impossible to get any work done when you want and you never can rely on being here when taking online exams. Really bad spot for students who really are trying to focus on school, i would recommend Skyvue across the street if you are already about to live at university edge.
Enjyu: Wifi went out during finals week. Not cool.
zack rose: Wish I could give this place 0 stars. Horrible management that could careless about anything but money. Don't plan on doing homework here wifi can even load an email but hey rent will be $100 more next maybe that'll fix it. Also good luck contacting management won't get ahold of them unless they need something from you.
Greg Ralph: My daughter lives here and is completely disappointed with her experience. This is her second year here and was super excited moving into a brand new apartment which offered so many amenities. She was the first person to move into her room and experienced many difficulties. First, she pays the same amount as her roommates despite having a much smaller room with less storage. Also, immediately when she moved in she noticed one of the rings on the end of her shower curtain rod was removed and a circle of rust was under it. She documented it within moving in and immediately reported it. They came to fix it and placed it back on the wall in the wrong place leaving the rust circle visible. Also, security is very unhelpful. They were reports of a suspicious man walking into bulidings following people from the parking lot. They still refuse to offer parking that is closer than a 5 minute walk from Building A and refuse to provide adequate lighting on the walk way towards the building even though it is near a body of water without any type of fence. Very dangerous. Not to mention the doors are easily pulled open even when locked. Have seen this many times. The internet doesn’t work, the trash system is difficult and there is an inadequate amount of amenities (gym equipment, study rooms, social room space) based on the amount of people living here. During the warmer months, there are pool parties (because of the public pool access) that become so loud the police eventually have to show up. Packages are left outside the leasing office for anybody to take when the office is closed. I have seen pest removal companies multiple times when I have arrived. Overall, just not a quality apartment and isn’t worth the amount of money you pay for rent on top of tution. Walls are paper thin. Construction of a hotel has been going on for 2 years that has blocked sunlight and causes nothing but loud noises starting at 5am-5pm everyday. If you are willing to pay the price of this apartment, I would say look anywhere else before settling for here.
Eli Paul: I really enjoy living here, and Isabella in particular great person to have in the leasing office. She is very helpful.
Caroline Milnes: Isabella in the leasing office is great!
Mia Lucchetti: Staff who gives tours are very nice, but give misleading information. Staffing office or horribly, unprofessional and organized. Horrible package delivery system
Danetra Reid: The Olivia’s are amazing.
Teresa Lopez: Olivia k is amazing.
Luke Meehan: Great staff, Isabella Chantler was super easy to work with! Apartment building was okay, not too many complaints except parking lot and maintenance. If you don’t mind the walk it’s a super fun place to live and easy to navigate.
Phillip Jimenez: Isabella in the office has been helpful. The property is Clean and everyone is friendly!
Isabella Chantler: Olivia K in the leasing office is the best! She knows the property like the back of her hand! Great experience at University Edge!
Louise Cioban: Isabella has been great as a leasing consultant!! She has helped answer so many of my questions!
Maddie Kernahan: Olivia K is great and always helpful
Eliza Kramer: 5 stars for Olivia K in the office. 1 star for parking, but I bet Olivia K would start valet service if you asked.
Seyi A.: After struggling to get a thorough tour from other apartments, it was refreshing to see one from University Edge. Olivia B. was transparent and gave a wonderful tour!
Nick Powell: Had various questions about the complex and Bella answered all of them while showing me around. Very helpful!
Isabella Pine: Isabella was really helpful this morning finding my package, however I have had a lot of trouble in the past with packages including one being lost or stolen. Also the parking lot is terrifying to walk through alone, especially at night.
Alyssa Whitt: Beautiful property and great staff! Jamie was super helpful!

Block 36: what do users think?
maddie sheppard: love the block
Jordan Gohn: always have good time when at block! nice outside area and friendly residents. Julie Ann as always been very helpful with any questions regarding the residence!
Shain Hrusovsky: I spoke with a girl named Juli-Ann and she was so nice answering all of my questions about the complex and she seemed to be very knowledgeable. Unfortunately, they have no availability so I’m not able to move in.
Jacob Gelvin: When I was trying to get a place here a very nice lady named Julia helped me with certain questions when I asked her about the place. She was very nice and even though I couldn’t get an apartment she still helped me more than I could ask for
Shay Williams: I love it here! Best staff ever B)
Rachel Pierce: Community is in such a great spot! It is near the trails and soccer complex which is perfect in the summer!
Victor Cimala: Great place to live, pet friendly.
Kevin Cooke: Love it here!
Ryan Ross: Block 36 apartments is by far
Lizelle Gungab: Love this community! The bus pass is super convenient for students and the office staff is so friendly every time I need something.
Miranda Dunlap: Lived here for a year. Alyssa Bowen at the leasing office runs a tight ship - they are constantly doing fun events to engage with residents. Plus, her cat is adorable. Id live here just for the staff like Alyssa.
Joseph Cimala: Right next to a nice park nice
Josie Fairchild: Staff has been extremely helpful. I have loved my stay at block 36!
Delaney VanHoorelbeke: the apartments are so nice and i love living here! It’s definitely worth it!!
Alyssa: I’ve lived at Block 36 since August and have loved it! The floor plan is the best I’ve seen so far in East Lansing, and I also love the beautiful walking trails behind the complex. The location is also really nice. As an MSU student, I was worried about not being within walking-distance of campus, but it’s a very short drive, and residents also receive a free CATA bus pass that takes you straight to campus every day :)
Barbara Nowak: Amazing apartments, and the staff is always so helpful! Absolutely love my time here :)
Megan Hall: Great staff! And great value for the price!
nana: run don’t walk AWAY from this place. I had to move out during COVID and they would not break my lease so I was paying rent despite not living there. I went back to turn in the keys 7 months later to find out someone else living in my room. I notified management that I have been paying rent all these months but they had someone else living there???! They told me that they don’t know how that could have happened and I decided to let it go & not try to get my money back for the rent all these months. They still sent me a bill of $300 despite them knowing that I have not lived there in months & we agreed that I would not pay it. Just for them to send it to collection 3 YEARS LATER???!?? Strange coincidence that my roommate just happened to work at the leasing office too.
rebecca frye: Very confusing layout of the buildings
Georgie Seago: The staff here are always so kind and answer questions very efficiently. The apartments are high quality and there is such a great community here. Would definitely recommend!
jayesh mestry: Great experience altogether.Very helpful, co-operative and Great staff members, ample of space for walking and cleanliness all around. Very happening place to chill out with friends near the pool as well as to spend times with friends near barbeque. Very neat and clean Gym with cool equipment's to refresh. Great computer lab as well and cool events !!

LIVE ON Residence Education and Housing Services: what do users think?
Sonia H: I am a student at MSU that recently visited the live on office in person, after calling and emailing multiple times and receiving no helpful information. When I went in person and explained my issue, I was given barely any information as I sat there crying trying to explain my situation. Later, my mom called and asked for more information on the issue at hand. While she was still not offered a solution, she was given more information than me by the same exact person I spoke to in-person. It is ridiculous how MSU treats their student (me) and it took my parent calling to receive a better answer. Do not go to the housing exception "specialist" Daniele. Not to mention, I was not even able to speak to the person in an office or private space. She sat by me on a bench in the middle of the hallway and I was humiliated as students passed by. If you want a solution to your housing problems, good luck because you will not be helped no matter how difficult your situation may be. These people do not understand that not everyone can throw money around.
Abdul Mohamednoor: It is imperative that Michigan State University takes urgent action to overhaul the woefully inadequate training regimen for Residence Education and Housing Services personnel. Frankly, this department is one of the most poorly managed at this institution, with representatives who are egregiously discourteous and impolite over the phone. The university's priorities are clearly misplaced, as evidenced by their relentless focus on profits at the expense of student well-being. The recent incident of a mouse found in my room, stemming from a hole in the wall, is emblematic of this disregard for basic safety and hygiene. The fact that the only response was to set up a mouse trap is a laughable and unacceptable response. MSU needs to ensure that all of their employees who interact with students receive comprehensive and effective training.
Kyla H: Freshmen and sophomores are forced to live on campus while upperclassmen are essentially kicked out.
George (MrRobotics): Avoid. MSU owes students refunds for the covid shutdown for meal plans and housing. Cannot seem to get any answers on where our refund is. MSU is very poor at taking responsibility for anything relating to credits or refunds due to the students. It is very difficult to find anyone to help with solving issues related to refunds or credits due. Lesson learned... Don't pay for anything up front. Do the monthly payment plan.
Baobao Sang: 50 mins waiting on the phone is fun :)"Please remain on the line"
Will Johnston: If you live on campus the office can help answer almost any questions you may have about on campus living.
