Udon Sushi Restaurant: what do users think?
rev n: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
William Pullen: A lovely restaurant with a very good vibe, and super tasty and delicious food.
Colin Chen: Recommended dishes Nabeyaki Udon, Beef NoodleMore
Gary Oshust: My favorite, it's just weird. Toilets for seat. And all you can eat Sprouts, really good potatoe salad and kimchee. Plus, weird tv. Younger brother and beautiful wife now run the place. Sadly, the eclectic charm is gone. A lot of the quiche quirkiness is gone no more toilets to sit on when eating. I miss that funky charm. That food, though, is still tops. My favorite is the sides which you can't serve yourself with anymore, but the kimchi, sprouts, and potatoe salad are still excellent, and the eel roll is super along with the watermelon bubble tea. Best late night place anywhere in Lansing area.Parking: Right in front of shop!Wheelchair accessibility: Flat easy access
John Doe: the best
j Jay (Jjay): This place is taken over by new ownership. No more Mr Wong. The food quality had changed little however the service isn't the same quality as it used to be. This is one of the stops in town open late. It used to be open till 3-4Am but now only till 11PM.Food: 3/5|Service: 2/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Dan Wells: Reliably amazing food, open late, and hearty portions
Amanda Bernes: They sold their company and now they don’t like to listen to customer preferences and dietary needs. They no longer modify any menu items to their customers needs nor do they actually even know their own menu.
Reese Skidmore: Every time I go the food is amazing and I love all the pictures in the restaurant.
Scott Mcwilliams: One of the few original and truly unique restaurants of East Lansing.
Souradip Biswas: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Parking options Free parking lotMore
Sohee Won: Not an instant udon/food that a lot of Asian restaurants do!!
David Hranac (Marcus yallow): 10 to 15 a person and then what's good about it. They make everybody feel at home okay and the food is authentic and f***** amazingFood: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Lzz Johnk: A well-kept secret and one of the best hole-in-the-wall eateries in East Lansing. This place has tasty food, good boba, and mellow vibes. I LOVE the sides that come with their udon and ramen (maybe they come with other things too, but I just order the noodles over and over). You may want to do some gentle neck stretches before checking out the menu. Beware that parking is somewhat limited right in front of the building, but I think you can park around back without getting into trouble.
Carly Gustafson: Still has all the charm, intimate atmosphere, friendliness, and delicious food as the previous owner. I will be back! Thank you 😊
James Laney: I had the Korean Dumpling Soup and felt revived like I was a character in some cooking anime.I had no idea what to do, but was helped out by patience and awareness:1. Order at the front counter by the entrance/exit (the door greets you and says goodbye).2. Menu items are posted on the ceiling.3. The order will come to you at your seat.4. There is hot/cold water to be had along a wall.5. Just push your tray away when you're finished.Gamsahamnida! 😋
Kat Kni: Food: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5More
Nick Len.: Ramen and meat very good in soup. A very filling double portion of soup for $10.60?! Sushi rolls are okay. California roll was $6 at time of writing. The Wasabi burned my nostrils and opened my sinuses, WHICH I LOVE.Dine in: Yes Outdoor seating: No …More
Adrianna Montgomery: Came here to follow Eddie & Aiko, the owners of Huapeis. Unfortunately there wasn’t a single item from Huapeis on the menu at Udon. The food wasn’t bad, but we were really looking forward to hot sour soup, fried dumplings, crab rangoons and huapeis chicken. Please add some of these items on to the menu!!!!

Sansu Sushi and Cocktails: what do users think?
Emily: The absolute best place to get sushi. I’ve tried a lot of sushi places and this is by far the best place. The staff is friendly, the rolls are delicious, the appetizers are good, the miso soup is amazing. They have very good alcoholic beverages as well. They’re usually pretty busy so if you can plan ahead, make a reservation!Recommended dishes Gyoza, California Roll and Philadelphia Roll, Fried Squid, Tempura Shrimp and California Roll, Roll, Salad and Miso Soup, Avocado Boat …More
Jessica Earl: Great upscale atmosphere. A little pricier than other sushi restaurants but it's well worth it. The bathrooms are clean, and the staff are helpful and knowledgeable about the food. One of the best sushi restaurants in the area, definitely.Edit (2023) to add that this review holds up and is still the best sushi restaurant in Lansing! New picture added too!Vegetarian options: Multiple vegetarian and vegan friendly meal options!Kid-friendliness: While it's upscale, it still has a family vibe and is child-friendly with high chairs, children's menu and crayons, and a changing table in the women's restroom.Parking: Parking lot with lots of regular and handicap parking spaces within a short distance from the door.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible at all tables (except the horigotatsu? tables) and the restrooms.

Jeff Guillaume: Always a fantastic experience here with utterly delicious, authentic sushi. Been to the restaurant many times over many years. Best miso soup and ginger salad in town! Can get very busy at popular times, so plan ahead or make a reservation.
M Nedloc: This is a good go-to place for sushi, it’s fresh, delicious, and willing! I really needed sushi in my body and did some minor researching and concluded that this is one of the best spots in town to grab some sushi. Since I’m usually a party of one it’s much easier to get seated and to get seated quickly. So, if you are coming with a party two or larger and it’s during their rush or weekend nights, you might have a little bit of waiting ahead of you. But it does look like people are in and out of here quickly with a smile, so why not partake? This was my first time here, but I have been a few more times since the initial retrieval. There is a large list for eating and one for drinking and you can’t go wrong with both. The food was out relatively quick, staff were kind and efficient, meaning yes, I would come here again and probably again. I have even tried options I don’t usually order but let me tell you, I thought I wasn’t a tofu person, but now, I ain’t mad at it. They even have fried tofu, try it.

ALice RIley: I will say I use to hold this restaurant in high regard and have been a loyal customer for many years. The level of disrespect I was shown is absolutely Shameful and Disgusting and a total slap in the face and one reason I never will be returning. Apparently years of loyalty means nothing.
Eric Ingraham: Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Gyoza, Salad and Miso SoupMore
Jay Smith (RelaxEnjoyBeKind): [please "like" if this is helpful]Quality service, casual and lightly upscale dining atmosphere, elegantly presented delicious food.Vegan and vegetarian optionsVegetarian options: Vegan vegetarian menu section
Stephanie Moon: The food was delicious and I loved the tatami dining section! A great location to celebrate special occasions and well worth the wait 😁Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Joe Courtade Moon: Amazing food! Definitely sit in the tatami area if you can, fun atmosphere and it doesn't feel like sitting on the floor---more like a sunken booth? We got there at about 5:30pm on a Friday night, and waited about 45 min for a table. Worth it, but definitely make a reservation if you can. We got the eel kabeyaki and the sansu stone bowl, both were really good. The eel is cooked and in an amazing sauce, definitely a winner! Servers were super busy but very nice.
Chris Petersburg: Our family ate here for lunch and I have to say, best sushi in town.
Trishia Watson: I’ve been here many times without issue until this evening. Waitress spilled hot soup down a guest in my party’s back/side. The soup also saturated her phone as well. A manager never came out to speak to us and no adjustment was made to her bill for her injury (her back was burned and red after returning home). We did not seek out management at my friend’s behest as she was embarrassed about the situation. Accidents happen, but appropriate recourse could have been had. A manager should have rectified this. A fine dining experience shouldn’t involve getting scalded. Please train your staff to involve a supervisor when a liability arises, accident or not. Really disappointed in how this situation was handled. Looking forward to a response.

It was also my first time tasting spicy edamame! Great service, during lunch time it’s super busy but calms down around 2pm.Recommended dishes House Salad …More

Mi Sushi & Noodles: what do users think?
Keith Evans: 2023: I think I have successfully gotten my wife hooked on this wonderful gem of a restaurant within walking distance of our home. The spicy tuna roll was to die for in my bowl of ramen was simply delicious!2022: I got the seaweed salad and a bowl of Mi Udon Soup which was so delicious and reminded me of the udon soup I had in Japan many years ago.2019: Very delicious seafood udon soup!
Mark Cameron: Good seating, friendly and easy to communicate staff, delicious food, brought out quick and the Korean coffee was exquisiteFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Thuyen Dang: Our go to place for ramen and sushi. Only downside is how small it is inside so we try to go when it's not busy. We usually get the tonkotsu ramen, sumo crunch burrito or poke bowl. Their sushi and ramen is one of the best. We tried the volcano ramen awhile ago and it was really spicy and delicious. We had some recently and it was not as spicy as before anymore (either that or my spice tolerance was built up).
Brad Petrowitz: Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 3/5More
Danny P: Curry and ginger tea were great!
David Wayne: Very respectful eatery. Best sushi restaurant hands down in East Lansing, The only downside is the MSU kids who come here during the school year. Will recommend it despite those green and white brats.

A must try for all.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Shrimp Tempura Roll, Volcano Ramen, Spicy Tuna and Salmon Bowl Raw …More
Joseph Pace: Dank sushi for a good price. The udon soup was really good too. The various anime decor was fun. (Pokémon, Dragonball Z). Will make it my regular spot.
Sam Felleke: What a gem to find this wonderful Japanese restaurant in EL! Great tasting sushi and noodles and surprisingly fast service. I will definitely be back and I am very curious and excited to explore the rest of the menu.
Chris Stevenson: I ordered a volcano roll, and Godzilla they were awesome, really enjoyed the quality of the food. Will be back
A Childs: I've gone there a few times before and they were not friendly to me. That aside when I called to place an order the food was pretty good... However, when I placed an order inside the rice was soggy/over cooked. Being professional and courteous to all goes a long way.Food: 3/5|Service: 2/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More

Janette Flores: Very nice place, a bit far from campus, but it's worth a visit! Everything on their menu is delicious, and I love their papaya milk tea. I come here very often when visiting lansing.
Tonia Kaczmarczyk: First trip and I can't wait to go back. They have a Devine ginger tea which I wanted bottled to take home it was so yummy. Their sushi was very delightful and rolled perfectly. I'm already planning my next trip. I do wish I could have ordered a glass of wine or saki with my meal but the meal itself did need any enhancing. The atmosphere is a little stark but a very modern design. It became "cozy" as things picked up and was packed by the time I left.
Sarah Grossbauer: I can't comment on the atmosphere because we ordered take-out. I liked the tonkatsu.Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More

Stella's Cloud Kitchen - East Lansing: what do users think?
Nick “Nick” He: Best burger I have ever had, and the fries were amazing to. This is easily a favorite restaurant for me and my friends; every time they come to visit we get food from here.
Andrew Martini: Disappointing, to say the least. Ordered a pair of Gov't Cheeses, my favorite from the real Stella's. The burgers were charred black on the outside and cooked about 10 minutes too long on the inside. Girlfriend likened it to eating a well-done steak - a proper analogy, if perhaps an understatement. The side of queso for the burger was lumpy - par for the course for takeout, to be completely fair, but it didn't taste good at all. Cosmic fries were awful - the seasoning was just caked on, and they tasted like they were slathered in Frank's Hot Sauce. Ordered a pair of ice cream sandwiches too. Pro tip for the Hopcat staff: Do not put frozen items in the same to-go bag as hot items.I love the real Stella's. For nearly $50 for the above, this was an embarrassment to the Stella's name. The Hopcat cooks clearly don't know how to make something that isn't part of their normal menu.
