Pratiksha B: What an amazingly warm and welcoming staff! Everyone from Lindsey at Check-in to Marige who was the MA, Sue who helped schedule our appointment were all great. Having healthcare related issues is never fun, but with an office staff like this where everyone genuinely cares for your well being and making you comfortable it helps make dealing with health related problems a little easier.

Joseph Messer: I kinda feel robbed. I paid cash $75, which I really didn't have. sacrifices were made with the hope of getting a bit more answers. We spoke for maybe 5 to 10 minutes. no hernia, but still no explanation for pain and his examination caused more pain and discomfort than what I had before I came in. I have the sneaking suspicion that if I would have had insurance, this visit would have gone a bit differently. On the positive side the staff were very friendly and the office looked nice. Thanks

Thomas Richardson: Very disappointed with the follow through from Dr. Deppen. He ordered a CT scan for a possible hernia which was completed and never followed through. The CT showed cancer on a kidney as an incidental diagnosis and yet I never heard from him or his office. Ended up having a partial nephrectomy by another surgeon and still no follow-up other than a bill for an office visit.

It was just a much better atmosphere than being at sparrow. Everyone seemed to be so happy and in a great mood which made a better experience. Shout out too Connie in admissions, Joey the pre op nurse, Lori, and Lisa. And of course Dr Jones!!!! (Ask for Dr. Jones if you can, and come here to get your procedure if possible). Also one of the nurses even helped me walk my husband to the car because he was still a little wobbly. Thank you all from us both!!!

Carrie Howard: I had an EGD and colonoscopy earlier this morning, and I received excellent care from all the staff at the Lansing Surgery Center. My amazing nurse Joey got my IV on the first try, Dr. Jones was fantastic and addressed all my questions with grace and patience, and the nurse anesthetist gave me the best nap I've had in a while with absolutely no side effects from the anesthesia (I usually get extremely nauseous). Seriously, the prep was the worst part. Everything after that was easy peasy. If you have the option to have a procedure performed here, then I would highly recommend it. We were in and out in three hours!

Liz Horford: Everyone was polite and professional but more importantly everyone was kind. They made polite conversation to take my mind off the procedure. They were even extremely understanding about me being a few minutes late.This is a huge contrast to the doctor's office who ordered the test. I tried desperately to call them several times the day of my procedure to confirm the location for my colonoscopy. I could not get an answer as the phone system just kept trying to send me through their website. Imagine my surprise when I showed up at the office and there were three receptionists sitting there. First I apologized because I could hardly stand up due to the preparation for the procedure (no food and very little sleep and lots of vomiting for 36 hours). I asked where I needed to go. One of the young women said "the surgery center right down the road". I said "could you please write down the address." She ignored me and said "Lansing Surgery Center". I asked again so she finally wrote it down. Then I asked if she could please call them and tell them I would be a few minutes late. She said "no". Then the woman sitting behind her said "if you're late they won't even see you". Luckily I went and Lansing Surgery Center showed me that medical professionals can indeed be kind and understanding and believe in outstanding customer service.

Kenneth Palmer: My knocking of one stars is because I have never gotten through on the phone when calling and have had to leave a voicemail every time. This is quite ridiculous when trying to get information from this place. They also don't have a queue or holding position, it rings 3 times and goes directly to voicemail. Also if you try to email them from their contact page, it errors out and doesn't appear to send.Otherwise I've had a good experience when I arrive at the office. I have never had to wait very long in the waiting room. The doctors here have also spent quite a bit of time in the room once they arrive.

Anna S-H: The positive reviews are puzzling. Our relative was operated on by Deppen, who botched the operation and caused a lot of pain and trouble. His office staff is callous and rude and refused to give follow-up appointments because "he doesn't get insurance reimbursement for post-surgery."

Beauty: Dr. Deppen did my surgery back in February. He and the majority of the office staff were absolutely amazing. There was one person on the phone that was a bit callus but maybe I caught her on a bad day. Dr. Deppen and his staff calmed my anxiety before surgery and throughout my aftercare. Aside from that one person, my overall experience was great!

I came to be a patient of Dr. Hunt’s during a scary and difficult time in my life. After two masses were found in both of my breasts during a routine mammogram. It was recommended to me that I see Dr. Hunt by my primary care physician. When I contacted the office, they acted quickly to schedule a biopsy and consultation. The staff ordered the necessary procedure so that my time waiting and wondering was limited. My worst fears were realized when I was diagnosed with breast cancer in both breasts. I was scheduled with the necessary specialists and my progress was maintained by frequent check-ins with the office. I never felt like my care was anything less than a top priority. At a time when I and my family were faced with difficult news and times ahead it was indescribable how easy the process was while working with Greater Lansing Surgical Associates. I have never experienced such outstanding healthcare and I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to work with them. Even now I often think about the kind staff, the courtesy and professionalism of the Doctor and the clinical staff and the confidence I continue to have in their hands. Loreen: My gallbladder removal was an in and out procedure so that was nice. When being in pain a few days later, I was and still am unable to get ahold of my doctor to help me with my painful situation!! Person at the "Circuit board" was extremely rude! Just a mom of 6 trying to enjoy my Christmas! (Not this year!)

Teresa Hoffman: When I was in severe pain after surgery I had to wait 3 1/2 weeks to see him again and two days later I was having surgery again. The day after surgery my incision came open and they reglued it and put a steri stripe on it and it came open again. Had surgery Jan 12th and incision is still wide open with alot of pain and he would not do anything about it. Also got diffrent answers from the people in his office. They said the incision opening happens often. That should not happen at all.

Julie Kelly: This doctors office refused to let my72 year old mother use their restroom after she drove an hour and they made her wait for a half hour for her appointment. They stated that it was because they didn't have enough staff to sanitize their restrooms after each use. What a joke. Go somewhere else.

Amy Beck: I do not love having to go to the endodontist, but this place is very nice. The staff are all super friendly and they call the next day to make sure your tooth is doing okay. Dr. Mullins explains why he does certain things which is nice to know and makes sense once it is explained.
