Regina Rey: I had trouble hooking up my sand filter/pump I bought online. The company I purchased it from couldn’t help. Five minutes before Theresa’s store closed I called her. I explained my situation and frustration. She asked for my address and at 8:30 that evening she stopped by. She reviewed my set up, made a couple changes, and my pump/filter was up and running. Not only did she come to my home after hours to help with a product I bought elsewhere, she didn’t charge me a dime. I would have gladly paid. I was so appreciative of her going the extra mile to help me. I won’t be purchasing any more pool supplies/products online. Theresa has my business for life! I went to her business the next day and bought a couple supplies. She said to bring her a water sample and she will help me with my chemical application process. I guess because I was buying a 1 piece sand filter. I told him I bought one in Grand Rapids. As I was talking he hung up. I called back & asked why he just hung up without saying good bye. He got upset, stating don't come back to his store.I got the feeling he was having a bad day. His store was not well supplied, I would suggest if you need pool supplies or are making a new purchase, go to a reputable Doughboy dealer.By pass this company.

Melanie Beil: If ZERO stars were an option, I would have given Carl, his team & business a ZERO. I would NEVER recommend anyone hire him to do work at their property. HE IS NOT LICENSED IN THE STATE OF MICHIGAN. Carl is unreliable and does not do quality work. He quoted me work to repair sidewalls and replace a liner of an inground pool. Half way through the work, he called and doubled the price. DOUBLED. When I asked for a detailed scope of work, receipts for additional supplies etc. to cause the price to double he provided neither. During the time he worked at my property, he and his 'helper' showed no respect for my property, leaving the worksite a mess, and misusing my personal belongings. Less than 1 month after 'completing' the work, the liner is no longer attached and additional repairs will have to be made. Do not subject yourself to his scams.

Doug Danstrom: Unfortunately, as much as I hoped to be a reliable customer, Carl has proven to be less than a reliable service provider. He hasn’t returned multiple phone calls after being notified of an issue with his service and a problem with the pool heater he provided. I couldn’t recommend him to any pool owners.

Out of nowhere I was served with a small claims court appearance for a bill I didn't even know I owed. Terrible way to do business. Candace Winslow: Glad to see others had okay experience, but for us Classic was 5 years of poor service. The installation was done so poorly, we had to replace nearly everything by year 5. The pump didn't work very well and we could not get good advice on how to operate it. So all summer it was working my tail off, fortune in chemicals, and still having green water. Dietz pools in Grand Ledge was a big help in getting us into the right pump and filter in year 4. Year 5, the lining just blew out first week of June and entire pool emptied in 3 minutes. So dangerous! Luckily no one was in pool. Classic refused to come out to check it, to offer repair, nothing. They just kept asking me to send them more pictures. So by end of summer we finally got someone from TNT and he identified the problem. Classic had SKIPPED one of the main supports, which caused sides around it to bulge and then allowed the liner to bypass the sidewalls. Hence the hole forming and then explosion of water. Very expensive to buy new liner, dismantle decking around 3 sides of pool... Wish I could remember name of who did the reinstall. His crew was amazing.LIfestyles Hot Tub place just south of 69 is actually great place for pool advice and equipment. If they don't have it in stock, they can order it. Everything improved after we left Classic. The TNT install and proper sized filter and pump made all the different. It is SO EASY now! It is always clean and beautiful -- now.EDIT DOWNGRADING MY RATING AFTER SEEING THE CLAIM 'NO RECORD THAT I WAS AN INSTALL CUSTOMER.' BS.EDIT for Responder: The install was about 6 years ago. Maybe there are improvements. However, at the time of our pool line collapse, no one returned my calls. I only reached a human 2 times over that period of trying to get help. It was cordial, but clear -- install a new liner at full cost to me. That would have been a mistake. I'm the owner that you contacted 3 months after install about being a demo-pool for potential customers down the road. I believe it was Randy who came out; took 1 look at the mess and left. I never could get anyone to come back. My husband or I went to your store once/week minimum the first 3 summers. The store women always seemed nice.

Amber Gibbs: Horrible customer service. Billed my inlaws and charged a late fee that was premature. So because they called to complain about it and missing items that were to be delivered and weren't. Received a copy of payment telling them they are sorry that my inlaws were not happy with the service they received but also told them "Please do not call again for further service". Poor way to handle your customers!

Jim Dagley: These guys were fantastic. Under promise and over deliver type stuff here. I first started the process of a new in-ground pool liner in the middle of March. Received my estimate and placed the order March 16th. At the time I was told that "hopefully" by the middle of June we would have our new liner. Well, just had it installed yesterday, May 24th. It came in early and Joel and his guys worked pretty darn quick to make sure it was installed as soon as possible. Anybody else I know waited 4-5 months until their new liner was installed from other dealers. They were in and out within about 3 hours and water was completely filled about an hour later. They were very professional and made sure there was no mess left behind. Great job guys and thanks for everything!
