To the untrained eye you can't even tell that the bottom of my dress was cut off and reattached to make it shorter. It truly looks like I purchased the dress that length. I was at first a little apprehensive to go here since she works out of her home. However, let me tell you that should not be a concern at all to you. The lower level of her home is dedicated to alterations and is set up just as a typical business would be. She is very knowledgeable and you can tell she has been doing this for years and years. Her turnaround time for my dress was also very quick and the price was decent and fair considering the work that needed to be done and the quality of her work. Merry Stanford: This tailor is exceptional. He is able to resize and remake clothes and work with leather, in addition to the regular alterations like hemming and repairs. Once I brought him an evening wear item to be hemmed, very tricky chiffon material, in an emergency. He had it finished within a couple of hours. Highly recommend TM Tailors.
Nadir Hamid: Absolutely horrible dry cleaner. Owner was extremely rude and unprofessional after he ruined my suit. Owner lied about me signing a release form. Repeatedly asked me who dropped something on the suit, implying that I was at fault when I was seeking help, and did not tell me what chemicals were used to clean as claimed it was "secret", despite giving full payment and being a paying customer. I bought a original 1984 Steve & Barry's Michigan State coat you know after time the Fleather goes out in time first bought it the arms where flaked because of wear so I thought of possibility of redo the Arms on the jacket not sure where to call, I called T& M they said if you get the fabric I can do it so I went online I found the Fabric so I hand it to Him OM Goodness it turn out beautiful then I take it home ready to enjoy it but nooo lol I set it on a coat hook and put a hole in the back near neck so I order the hunter Green color and took it back to T&M also had to get new letter's because He said I can't do old letter's , I believe in everything the owner did on it and what He recommended His expertise on His work any way's the coat was 225.00 dollar's brand new in 1984 and paid total 300 bucks to restore it, to me it's priceless, on final thought I was very Happy with their service and the work He did I would highly recommend to my friends and anyone asked who asked where I got it done by thank you for reading Gary R.Services:Alterations,Leather repair

We have tried other tailors, but the professionalism, knowledge, and kindness are why we keep coming back to Tolday (sorry if the name is spelled incorrectly). My husband gets suits altered, and whether they are a little bit more on the inexpensive side, or if they are on the opposite end, being more expensive, the suits always turn out looking a lot better than when they were first brought in. I have brought in some dresses too, and I have only the most positive things to say. While I lean toward being a little bit of a cheapskate more often than not, I am more than happy to bring in my special event clothes because I know that I always get my money's worth in quality.

Carey Panlener: If I could do lower than 1 star, I would! Hubby dropped off my winter coat WITH a new replacement zipper to put on it over 3 months ago. Hubby said they didn't have to rush it. They never called us to say it was done. Brother-in-law went to pick up for us, since we live over 1 hour away. Not only did they give him the wrong coat(2 sizes too small), but when I drove back to switch for my coat, they said it was sold!! "We tried to call you many many times! After 3 months, we sell!" They NEVER called us!! The $$ they paid me did not cover the cost of the coat, the new zipper or the gas to go get the wrong coat! Don't waste your time & $$
Paige Piper: I have a close friend who is an elderly gentleman who's a very well known business owner in Lansing for the past 40 yrs and he's ALWAYS paid close attention to how he dresses, always gets his shirts and pants dry-cleaned and how he presents himself is very important to him. He dropped off a pair of slacks with this tailor 2 days ago for an alteration and they called him back yesterday to pick up his pants. He asked, "already? That was fast.." and this woman had the audacity to tell him, " NO. They smell terrible. Pick them up and go wash them." Let me say, I have never in the 10 years I've known this man, known him to be unhygienic. Apparently this woman wasn't even the person he originally left his slacks with and he had dropped them off already cleaned and pressed. I watched him bring them into the store wrapped in plastic hung over a hanger. Just rude as can be and embarrassing for him even if it wasn't true. He just told me this morning how they treated him. Totally unnacceptable way to treat any human being, especially our elders. Looking for a different tailor for him now.

Michael Hall: Ms. Kim’s kindness, patience, and skill are worth commenting on. I approached Ms. Kim with an alterations job (patch stitching) that numerous other alteration shops had turned down (or given me outrageous quotes). Ms. Kim was entirely transparent and told me that she would have to see the patches before giving me a quote. She was very willing to work with me and offered me a very fair price for how demanding the task was. I am a perfectionist and had a variety of thoughts to share when I saw the finished product. Ms. Kim was extremely fair and understanding. She takes immense pride in her work, and it shows in the final product. I had three sweatshirts stitched and the detail is incredible. She made me feel comfortable sharing any concerns that I had, and again, was very understanding and willing to talk through things in a non-condescending, approachable manner. I cannot recommend Ms. Kim highly enough. Alterations are tricky and can easily leave customers feeling that they don’t have an option to make comments or requests after the initial submission. Richard Child: Marilyn is the best tailor I have used. She can make alterations, such as adjusting the shoulders and shortening either a suit coat or sportcoat, that no one else can do. Prices are reasonable. Fast turnaround. I highly recommend.
