He also filed Bankruptcy in 2016, so beware of someone who cannot handle their own business affairs . Also, clients have to hunt him down. Jasmina Basic: This place is like that toxic ex you keep going back to because they make you think they'll finally treat you right. I keep making the mistake of coming back to them and it's my fault I realize that. I've been a loyal customer for years and every time I bring them the documents they require in order to give you a discount, they make up some excuse and say I don't have the right page. Every. Single. Time. Needless to say never again.

Maria Rodriguez: I did the one day loan and this would be my first year doing direct deposit and I'm still waiting for it to hit in my bank account so they charged me all this money and I still can't get my money and I think it's unfair and they said last year if you were first somebody you would get $25 at the end of the year and I never received my $25 that who I referred so I think it's just kind of crazy that they're charging all this money until you get your money back in 1 to 4 business days in reality you got to wait longer than that

michael arrieta: The HR Block in Holt MI forgot to file my taxes (literally the easiest part of the process). Cheryl Hulbert "helped" me with the refund process. Except she pretended to have submitted all the information to corporate. After 5 months of dodging my calls and pretending that the emails were lost, I involved HR BLOCK corporate who said did not receive anything from Cheryl Hulbert. I have to imagine it's rare for them to forget to file someone's taxes, but avoid working with Cheryl Hulbert at all costs.
ambar rodriguez: Horrible at communication. I went a month ago, they started filling my taxes but said they needed to consult with another employee that was not present at the moment. I sent some extra documents the next day. After a week of them not coming back I sent emails and started calling. The employee that had my case was ALWAYS busy or not present, and A MONTH later she tells me to come pick up my documents because she cannot complete it for me. Now I have to rush to see if I can find someone else. Terrible experience.
Tim Florian Dorweiler: Sandra was not professional and did not reach back out on her own after faling to pursue services she guaranteed. She was also rude to me as a customer and hung up on me without a reason. She also did not explain on how to retrieve my tax documents that she was still in possession of. Would not recommend.

Les Rout: I was pleased with my tax return. However, the state of Michigan revised it. I tried to contact the tax professional who worked on my tax return but she ghosted me for four weeks. No responses to calls or emails. I tried contacting H and R Block about the situation to no avail. She did get back to me once and then never again. I finally gave up.

Since I have some crypto transactions as part of my taxes, I wasn't having an easy time finding someone that would handle them without wanting to charge an arm and a leg. Kathy Kreimer: Terrible i made an appointment in the morning they offered drop off service i declined at that time set a 4 pm appointment i ride public transportation and work from w/dependent had to gey a siyter i got there early and was told u have to drop off ur paperwork and someone will do it when they get to it i made an apointment to talk to some one i got nothing but an attidude dont go there they dont want your money or to give the personalized customer service that i have experinced at other h&r blocks i have use in the past in different states i might add this is the 1st time ive tried to use the service here in michigan.I feel i was discriminated against because im an older adult and i asked about the cost and earned income credit. Abu Farzan: The thing , i didn't like is that, i was told i will be charged $400 which was higher than usual tax preparation fee. I agreed and tried to get my tax filing done. But, i was billed $535 which is $135 more than whatever i was told. I paid $535 for my tax preparation , though i was told that the fees will be $400. So, you may need to be careful about dealing with payments. I think, they violated consumer protection overcharging law. Other company in Lansing charge around $200 for similar service!
