Emily Jane: Smaller sale section than at the Somerset UO, but still a decent selection. I pretty much only shop out of the sale section, on account of being broke, but I still get fun stylish clothing, and the sales are generally pretty good. It's been 50% off the sale price the last three times I went in, which hopefully doesn't end any time soon, haha.

Megan Cole: Cancelled an order that I was really looking forward to and sent me a shirt that was waaaaayyyy smaller than I ordered. Spend your time shopping elsewhere!

Angela Sorrells: I've been shopping at Urban Outfitters for years beginning with their original location in downtown East Lansing.Regardless of your age, if you've adapted your own personal sense of modern/trendy style, Urban just may be a fun place to shop. We've dressed our daughter from here as well as purchased her room/apartment items as well.If you're looking for fun, cutting edge fashion with staff that doesn't follow you around and just lets you shop, check out Urban. Plus they almost always have a great sale going on. Definitely worth your time.

Rhiannon Shook: Every time I shop at this store I am sadly reminded of why I should not shop here anymore. Don't get me wrong, the clothes and accessories are super cute and I usually have a hand full of things to try on. However, for the age demographic that the merchandise is targeted towards, the prices are honestly outrageous. $45 for a tiny tank top, over $100 for jeans that are not actual denim.. I mean cmon. On top of that, the workers are never attentive or friendly in any way, they look at you as if you are a bother, they don't offer to start a dressing room or take any unwanted items, no conversations started, just judgemental looks and RBF. Sad because I used to shop here quite often. I also asked if they would take back used shopping bags since they're made of fabric material and it's extremely wasteful to throw them out (I've returned some before) and they told me that they don't do that. Highly recommend shopping at cute local boutiques instead!

Shaina Johnson: Not one employee said anything to us while we were in the store. Also, it still feels pretty empty as far as inventory goes.

Eric Kelley: Brought my teenage daughter in and it is a fun store. A little pricy, but they had a lot of different items you don't see everywhere.

Yoga queen: Looks empty. The clearance section is trash, reminds me of a rummage sale. Overpriced junk now. The store has gone downhill

Cha Do-ha: I come in maybe once or twice a month to browse around. Sometimes the staff talks, sometimes they don't. As someone who works in customer service, I get it. They're human and it's relatable. Whenever I have a question I need to ask, it's always answered to the best of their ability. Sometimes their tone can come off snarky and rude, but not everyone knows what they sound like when talking to other people. "Hot Topic" is for the HOT TOPIC(S) of today. So even though I don't find the nostalgia I'm looking for from 2012 or 2017, that's alright. I always find something neat and interesting from a fandom I'm up-to-date on. This place is a safe haven for a lot of people. It's a tight squeeze sometimes and with my trouble with closed spaces not being great, it can be a struggle. I see they've been reorganizing the store though and it looks wider and more clean. I'll always stop by whenever I get the chance. 3 Love to the staff here. 3

Remi: I love hot topic, I get all of my clothes from there and other stuff, people working there are always so nice, but I got to say a most of the stuff is overpriced, like a small pin is $2! I mean the pin is very nice and I lose them (also most of them leave tiny holes in my clothes) I have a lot of them I kinda wish I didn’t spend all that money on the pins, I don’t regret buying some of the pins but it overpriced, and one shirt is $20- $25 dollars (unless it’s on sale) and also, I use the coupons all the time but they expire so quickly, it’s mostly about a week or two until they expire, but other than all of that stuff it’s a great place

christ ina: The lansing mall just sucks overall anymore. I was disappointed when I went and hot topic only had shirts against the wall and a rack or 2 in the middle. Everything is gone. Better to just buy online if you're wanting anything from here anymore.

Alessandra Bailey: my friends and i were looking at the jewelry to see if we can get ones that would match, the cashier (i think) asked if we needed help with anything and we said no. you would think that she would go back to her job but she kept staring at us and was watching us the whole time until we were done picking our bracelets. my male friend looked at these playboy earring and wanted to buy them and my other friend who was with us said she would buy it so he gave it to her. after she bought the things another woman came up to my male friend and wanted to know if he stole those earrings(even though he gave them to our other friend). she spoke to our group and asked for the receipt and seen that the earrings was on it but then asked to see in our bag if it was in there(which it was).she did apologize to him after but it didn’t seem like she meant it and walked away. she also said something along the lines “this has been happening all day sorry”. this is very bad service, we felt uncomfortable with those two employees watching us like a hawk and honestly would not want to go there if they are there still. it felt as though they were profiling my friend, a black male, who is also a minor (all of us are). bad service, i don’t think employees are allowed to look in our bags, even after they see the items on the receipt. please look into this asap.
